Benton Logo Design

Every new Benton company realizes that they require a logo, however few new business owners entirely comprehend the vital role their logo design will perform in their success, or exactly why one business logo works far better than another. A business logo has an immediate and lasting impact on the prosperity of a business, pick the correct one and it can make the door swing and cash register ring, select the wrong one and it can be an obstacle and an impediment for the longevity of a company. The logos featured in the ImageCo portfolio help Benton companies succeed, they are effective in any given scenario and the main reason they are so effective is that they all have these 5 things in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logo designs don’t demand contemplation, they can be comprehended in merely a look.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to billboards a scalable logo will be legible and equally emotive at every dimension.
  3. Versatility: logos that function on any type of device, in print, on product packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are exclusive, and they are suitable for the business they represent.
  5. Relevance: a business logo should be timeless and will feel relevant today, tomorrow, and thirty years from today.

Retro logo design of a bike produced for a Benton coffee cafe as well as a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This budding coffee roaster and cafe were actually opening in an old part of the city and really wanted to project an old-fashioned tone without appearing as stodgy or low energy. I fulfilled both jobs via designing a business logo design that includes a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is antiquated, high energy, and is a enduring business image.

medical logo layout with a microscope slide and also germs made for Benton clinical facility.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the science which investigates the triggers and effects of diseases, mainly the branch of medicine which deals with the laboratory evaluation of samplings of body tissue for diagnostic or forensic objectives.

The Mid-Valley Pathology custom logo design I came up with is the only instance I call to mind where I was able to integrate a bacteria-laden microscope slide into a logo design.

Normally I attempt not to be extremely literal with a design and to a degree, this design approaches the company it serves rather literally, however it does it in a way that incorporates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as a description of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancement to the name that helps make it more appealing, more focus grabbing and more memorable.

logo design with a leaping green frog made for a family fun center in Benton.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a really cool project to work on, most likely because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the norm of the sorts of jobs which come my way, I’ve produced dozens of logo designs for physicians, dental experts, and lawyers but Cool Springz is without question the only trampoline park which I have actually ever gotten the opportunity to work on.

Given that the full name of the company has the word springz in its name the apparent choice would have been to feature a handful of springs into the concept but Cool Springz is a fun place to go and spring does not really reflect an atmosphere of fun does it. My thought process on this project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, ultimately I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the name itself to provide the logo a much more dynamic high energy impression.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my design and named the frog Jax and featured him in to everything they utilized for marketing and advertising. I also believe this is the only time that a logo I created was transformed into a mascot when they had an employee costume fashioned to look exactly like my frog design.

photography logo including a flock of birds, a hill, a trail, a stream, as well as a tree - developed for Benton travel digital photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo design project I took on for a travel photographer, which is a pretty specialized field of photography and I think it is a niche sector due to the fact that travel photographers tend not to shoot places or things but instead convey emotional journeys through the photos they record. The idea behind this logo design was to make use of negative space to communicate more than what was visible upon initial glance, which I think is quintessential of most good photographers in that they oftentimes share whole stories through their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a 1000 words but I think that some photographs convey a lot more than that because their photos often have an emotional resonance which can’t be conveyed with mere words. I made an effort to do something comparable to this logo by employing the positive space in the design to say one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was communicated through the first impression. I think, in looking back, that my goal was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Benton logo design but also to show the depth of her work and in the way that she sees the world through the lens of her camera.

Benton logo layout with a seagull made use of for the letter A. Designed for a wireless retail company.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The majority of business logo design projects that I take on I really relish and the Coastal Wireless design was one that I certainly felt good about, but the customer didn’t quite share my enthusiasm for it. I felt really good about the idea of using the seagull silhouette as a stroke in the letter A however the client, even though he liked the concept, really did not care for my choice of birds. This particular man really despised seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, fortunately the rest of his friends and family did not share his contempt for this specific breed of sea bird.

When I turn a design over to a client I encourage all of them to share it with friends and family members as well as with people that they don’t actually know so as to get neutral opinions on the benefit of a concept. Fortunately, he discussed it with his family and they loved the design and were able to reason with him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to include every other seabird he could think of … eventually I was able to talk him out of his choice of a pelican and he proceeded with the original concept.

Business logos are a weird creature in the design world because the people that tend to hire an expert to design their logo recognize how essential a logo design is for their business so they are much more vested in the final result. Every logo design job has it’s allotment of hurdles, but the greatest challenge is identifying that sweet spot in a design that functions really well at the job it’s required to do in branding a company and also providing the client the identity they see for themselves.

a red panda logo design with bamboo behind-the-scenes, style for Benton publication author

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a cramped parcel of real estate to work with, but it is the most crucial part of a printed book since it is ordinarily the first thing a person views in the book store. With respect to a publishing company, it’s the opportunity they will ever have to publicize their label and get their logo design in front of the individuals that buy actual books.

This 3 color design is vivid, picturesque and eye-catching and it gives plenty of room for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo design designed for an airline company in Los Angeles, the logo design has 2 letter A's with benches customized to indicate they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines arrive and go nevertheless it seems that in many occurrences one of the things individuals tend to recall the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a small fledgling commuter/shuttle airline based in LA and although I’m not sure it really “took off” their organization logo didn’t slow them. The bookend A’s in their name lent itself well to affording a sense of flight and it was certainly a success.

Benton logo layout made use of for advertising and marketing and a label design for Vintage Situation includes an old typeface style.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case focused in new cases for music instruments, which appeared to be older cases. For this brand concept I attempted to come up with a logo that provided a fluid retro feel to it and could easily be utilized for anything from a web site to an insignia on brand new cases that looked like they were from a different generation.

Logo design created for an orthodontist in Benton, design consist of an arc with lines intersecting through it to suggest metal braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental care logos can easily be one of the most challenging and difficult logo design jobs considering that it seems that each and every dentist involves a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dentistry logo designs are one of the most cliche ridden careers when it comes to small business marketing, if dining establishments approached their branding in the exact same way dental practitioners do every one of their company logos would be a picture trying to explain something they served, McDonalds would likely contain an image of a potato and a cow.

I recognize the thinking behind including an image of something mouth related to a dentist’s logo but it has to be performed subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dentists logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental industry.

I really enjoy doing dentistry business logos simply because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies the field of dentistry or a certain field of the field of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the clichéd course of action that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics delivered such an opportunity and subsequently I created a layout that doesn’t have a single smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t obvious, they are still implied in the concept. When I turned this particular design over to the customer the only smile that was obvious was the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo designed for a household nonprofit, the logo design includes 4 personalities startled in height to stand for a family unit with in the design.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation reached out to ImageCo to help them come up with a brand identity design that would be depictive of the love that William McNally had for the families in his city. Many logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain images of a happy family, a cliche heavy approach to any logo design is to be far too literal pertaining to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve discovered that the best designs are the ones that are understated and don’t hit the viewer on the head with what the company or institution wants to project.

The McNally Foundation’s name presented a distinct opportunity to do a logo design which conveyed that they were about families without being overtly corny about it. The goal of a logo design is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer tries to use the logo to describe specifically how people should think or feel they don’t understand the goal of a logo. If viewers have to consider a logo design to understand what it means, it has failed, a logo needs to be instantly comprehended and a logo design that illustrates itself won’t have the chance to be comprehended.

Logo layout developed for a hair style workshop including a manuscript font a hummingbird and also an implied orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios required a logo design which projected a feeling of contentment and class for their new hair studio. I created a concept which did not go the obvious course of designing simply a stylized orchid but rather crafted a logo that suggested an orchid in the formation of a swirl integrated in to the letter O in the title and by putting emphasis on the logo design along with the figure of a hummingbird floating above the logo design itself. The obvious path in designing a logo design is more often than not the incorrect course and in this case, the design ended up not being about the orchid but alternately laid the emphasis on the feeling that they wanted to project to their customers.

Arabian horse logo layout developed for a horse ranch that focuses on breeding Arabian show steeds.

Dazzo Arabians | Logo Design

Logo layout for a software developer the design functions and also renowned aspect of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the central part of an operating system (OS). Traditionally, the kernel is responsible for memory management, process and task management, and disk operations. The kernel unites the system hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that behaves as a bridge between the software and hardware.

The logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is situated a couple of miles from the offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to describe anything to anyone regarding what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. But it symbolized something to the business owner of the company and in many cases the significance behind a logo is just as important as how it serves the enterprise it stands for.

Evolv Interior Design | Logo Design | Branding

A logo style featuring a fisherman in the center of the name casting a fly in the direction of the visitor.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brands such as Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in more than 7 billion a year retailing supplies and equipment to outdoor sporting enthusiasts the founders of On the Fly realized the market place was prepared for an outdoor sporting merchant that functions as a consignment firm. Whether you are into boating, angling or mountain climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly provides a place for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all kinds of interests, a place to sell off their previously owned items to other sports enthusiasts. I tailored their Benton business logo dsign with an image which pulls in the attention of vehicles and projects an image that arouses the enthusiasm of the outdoors. With traffic that averages 45 mph I realized it would take more than the average logo/sign to get commuters to take notice, hence the illustration of a fly fisherman in his natural and tranquil habitat.
Logo layout MQ farms, this logo style has actually a field integrated right into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms custom logo design wasn’t actually composed for an Benton area farm it was in reality developed for a products broker, and this creative logo was one of several which fell beneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The end goal was actually to generate a brand mark that projected assurance, financial success, and affluence.
Logo design made for the use of an indication for the dining establishment (Brewgrrs), it is an elaborate script font style that is evocative a well-known sports team logo.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I’ve crafted loads of restaurant logos and business signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the US, from cupcake pastry shops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I think Brewgrrs was my absolute favorite. Brewgrrs was a great project in which I worked closely with the owner to produce a logo design that worked really well and did a great job to brand them, it functioned on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the neon signage which hung above their doors, and was highly visible and very easy to read from over a block away.
