Windsor Logo Design

Virtually every new Windsor organization understands that they are in need of a logo, yet few new business owners thoroughly recognize the pivotal role their logo can make in their success, or the reason that one logo performs more effectively than another. A logo has an immediate and sustaining impact on the financial success of a company, pick the correct one and it can make the door swing and cash register ring, go with the incorrect one and it will be an obstacle and a hindrance for the life span of a company. The logos included in the ImageCo portfolio help Windsor businesses succeed, they are effective in any given situation and the reason why they are so effective is because they all have these 5 things in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logo designs do not require contemplation, they can be realized in just a look.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to posters a scalable logo will remain legible and just as emotive at any scale.
  3. Versatility: logos that operate on any device, in print, on packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball-cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are personal, and they are suitable for the business they represent.
  5. Relevance: a business logo must be ageless and should feel relevant today, tomorrow, and 20 years from now.

Retro logo design of a bicycle created for a Windsor coffee cafe as well as a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This fledgling coffee roaster and cafe were opening up in an old section of the community and really wanted to visualize a vintage atmosphere without appearing as uninteresting or low energy. I achieved the two jobs by means of developing a business logo design that features a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is old-fashioned, higher energy, and is a ageless business image.

medical logo design with a microscope slide as well as germs created for Windsor medical clinic.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the science that researches the root causes and consequences of diseases, mainly the branch of healthcare which works with the clinical evaluation of samples of human body cellular material for diagnostic or forensic intents.

The Mid-Valley Pathology logo I came up with is the only instance I recall in which I was able to incorporate a bacteria-laden microscope slide within a business logo design.

Usually I attempt not to be extremely literal with a design and to a point, this design approaches the company it serves very literally, yet it does it in a fashion that integrates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as a description of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancement to the brand that helps make it more appealing, more focus grabbing and a lot more unforgettable.

logo layout with a leaping green frog developed for a household enjoyable facility in Windsor.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a very cool project to work on, most likely because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the usual of the kinds of jobs which come my way, I’ve done dozens of logo designs for health care providers, dental experts, and legal professionals but Cool Springz is without question the one and only trampoline park which I have actually ever had the opportunity to work on.

Given that the title of the company has the word springz in its name the apparent choice would have been to integrate a few springs into the design but Cool Springz is a fun place to go and spring doesn’t actually reflect an atmosphere of fun does it. My thought process on this logo project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, in the end I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the title itself to provide the logo a much more enthusiastic high energy atmosphere.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my concept and named the frog Jax and incorporated him in to everything they utilized for advertising and marketing. I also think this is the only time that a logo I came up with was turned into a mascot when they had a staff member costume fashioned to look exactly like my frog design.

photography logo featuring a flock of birds, a hill, a trail, a stream, as well as a tree - created for Windsor traveling digital photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo design job I took on for a travel photographer, which is a rather specialized field of photography and I believe it is a niche field due to the fact that travel photographers don’t shoot locations or things but rather project emotional experiences through the photos they record. The idea behind this logo composition was to utilize negative space to communicate more than what was visible upon initial view, which I think is representative of most good photographers in that they often tell whole stories using their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a thousand words but I think that some photographs convey significantly more than that because their photos often have an emotional fullness which can’t be communicated with just words. I made an effort to do something much the same to this logo design by making use of the positive space in the design to suggest one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was conveyed through the first impression. I think, in looking back, that my objective was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Windsor logo design but also to illustrate the depth of her work and in the way that she sees the world through the lens of her camera.

Windsor logo layout with a seagull used for the letter A. Designed for a wireless retail service.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The majority of logo design jobs that I take on I genuinely take pleasure in and the Coastal Wireless project was one that I really felt good about, however the client didn’t quite share my enthusiasm for it. I felt really good about the idea of using the seagull form as a stroke in the character A however the customer, while he loved the concept, really did not care for my choice of birds. This particular guy really loathed seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, luckily the rest of his family didn’t share his contempt for this specific kind of sea bird.

When I turn a concept over to a customer I encourage all of them to talk about it with friends and family members as well as with other people that they don’t even know so as to get impartial judgements on the merit of a concept. Fortunately, he talked about it with his family and they really liked the design and were able to reason with him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to insert every other seabird he could think of … ultimately I was able to talk him out of his preference of a pelican and he went with the original concept.

Logo designs are a weird creature in the design world because the people that have a tendency to hire an expert to design their logo design realize how crucial a logo is for their business so they are way more invested in the end result. Every logo design project possesses it’s share of obstacles, but the greatest challenge is finding that sweet spot in a design that works really well at the task it’s needed to do in branding a company and also giving the client the identity they see for themselves.

a red panda logo design with bamboo behind-the-scenes, layout for Windsor book publisher

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a slender piece of real estate to work with, yet it really is the most critical part of a printed book due to the fact that it is ordinarily the very first thing a person views in the book shop. With respect to a publisher, it’s the absolute best opportunity that they will likely ever get to spotlight their label and get their logo design in front of the men and women that shop for actual books.

This three color design is vibrant, picturesque and eye-catching and it gives plenty of room for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo design developed for an airline in Los Angeles, the logo design has 2 letter A's with the bars modified to indicate they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines come and go yet it seems that in many occurrences one of the traits consumers tend to recall the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a young new venture commuter/shuttle air service located in LA and while I’m not sure it actually “took off” their business logo didn’t ground them. The bookend A’s in their title lent itself well to affording a sense of airline flight and it was undoubtedly a success.

Windsor logo design made use of for marketing and also a tag style for Vintage Instance features an old font style style.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in brand new cases for musical instruments, which looked to be antique cases. For this custom logo concept I attempted to come up with a logo that provided a fluid old style feel to it and could be utilized for anything from a web page to a label on brand new cases that seemed like they were from a different point in time.

Logo created for an orthodontist in Windsor, design include an arc with lines intersecting through it to indicate metal braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dentistry logos can easily be one of the most difficult logo projects because it seems that every single dentist features a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dental business logos are one of the very most cliche ridden fields when it comes to business branding, if dining establishments approached their branding in the same way dental offices do every one of their logos would be a picture explaining something they served, McDonalds would most likely have a picture of a potato and a cow.

I recognize the thinking behind including a likeness of something mouth associated to a dentist’s logo nevertheless it has to be done subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dental professionals logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental care profession.

I really love doing dentistry business logos simply because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies the field of dentistry or a certain field of dental treatment like orthodontics without resorting to the stereotypical solution that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics delivered such an opportunity and subsequently I created a concept that does not have a single smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t obvious, they are still implied in the design. When I turned this design over to the client the only smile that was evident was the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo made for a family members nonprofit, the logo includes 4 characters startled in height to stand for a family unit with in the layout.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation contacted ImageCo to help them come up with a brand identity design that would be representative of the love that William McNally had for the people residing in his community. Many logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain images of a happy family, a cliche heavy method to any logo design is to be very literal about what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve found that the best designs are the ones that are downplayed and don’t hit the viewer on the head with what the business or organization wishes to project.

The McNally Foundation’s name offered a distinct opportunity to do a logo which communicated that they were about families without being openly corny about it. The objective of a logo design is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer tries to use the logo to explain precisely how individuals ought to think or feel they don’t understand the goal of a logo. If viewers have to think about a logo design to understand what it means, it has been in vain, a logo needs to be immediately understood and a logo that illustrates itself won’t have the likelihood to be understood.

Logo style produced for a hair design studio featuring a script font a hummingbird and also an implied orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios desired a company logo that conveyed an atmosphere of simplicity and class for their new hair studio. I created a concept which didn’t go the obvious path of crafting simply a stylized orchid but alternatively designed a company logo which suggested an orchid in the pattern of a swirl incorporated in to the letter O in the title and by placing attention on the logo design with the figure of a hummingbird floating above the logo itself. The obvious path in creating a business logo is in most cases the incorrect path and in this case, the design ended up not being about the orchid but instead placed the emphasis on the feeling that they really wanted to transmit to their clients.

Dazzo Arabians | Logo Design

Logo design for a software developer the layout functions and famous component of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the key part of an operating system (OS). Typically, the kernel is responsible for memory administration, process and task control, and disk managing. The kernel unites the computer hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that operates as a connection between the software and computer hardware.

The business logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is situated a couple of miles from the offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to identify anything to anyone regarding to what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. However, it represented something to the owner of the business and in quite a few cases the significance supporting a logo is equally as important as how it brands the organization it stands for.

A logo layout including a fisherman in the middle of the name casting a fly in the direction of the customer.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brands like Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in over 7 billion a year offering supplies and equipment to outdoor sporting enthusiasts the owners of On the Fly realized the market was primed for an outdoor sporting merchant that operates as a consignment business. Whether or not you are into boating, sportfishing or rock climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly provides a venue for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all sorts of passions, a location to market their used equipment to other sports enthusiasts. I designed their Windsor business logo dsign utilizing an illustration that garners the attention of vehicles and sends an image that arouses the enthusiasm of the outdoors. With visitor traffic that averages 45 miles per hour I knew it would take more than the average logo/sign to get commuters to take notice, hence the illustration of a fly fisherman in his natural and relaxed habitat.
Logo design MQ farms, this logo design has an area included into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms custom logo concept wasn’t really composed for an Windsor regional farm it was actually devised for a commodities broker, and this particular logo was one of many which fell under the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The objective was really to make an identity that projected esteem, success, and luxury.
Logo design designed for making use of a sign for the dining establishment (Brewgrrs), it is an elaborate script font that is evocative a renowned sports team logo design.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I have created quite a lot of restaurant custom logo designs and business signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the USA, from cupcake bakeshops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I think Brewgrrs was my favorite. Brewgrrs was a cool undertaking where I worked closely with the owner to create a logo that worked very well and did a great job to brand them, it worked on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the lighted sign which hung over their doors, and was highly visible and very easy to read from over a block away.
