    Graves - Dental Logo Design

Dr. Graves preferred a more feminine design and was thinking she would like a butterfly that was also a tooth. This was a difficult idea and it's always a challenge to make a single image represent 2 things; I solved this by incorporating a tooth pattern into the wing of the butterfly. Subtle but effective.

Bridgeport Family Dental Logo Design Project

Kelly Johnson  requested a design that was professional, but not overly formal, fairly simple but not necessarily incorporating toothbrushes and a dental theme, but perhaps something from nature like a creek, birds, etc. There is a creek/nature reserve behind the building I will be in with lots of birds and other wildlife.

Result: I love it!  I'm very happy with what you've come up with.

Chapman & Owens Logo Design Project

Drs. Chapman didn't want to incorporate the all too common tooth or smile into their logo but preferred to have a design that was a little more personal. I came to learn that dr. Owen had a large fish tank in their office and also had a deep love for the ocean, I reflected this in their new logo design.

Ascent Family Dental Logo Design Project

Client Response: The overwhelming response (to my satisfaction) was the second concept.  I liked them all, but the second stands out as my favorite.  I like the bold simplicity and the arc fits great with the ascending theme.  I don't have any suggestions or requests for changes-it's great as is.

Davies General Dentistry Logo Design Project

The challenge of the Davies Dental project is how do I create three logo designs that are tied together through a shared design element for 3 siblings in the dental industry that share the same office. The answer was you don't, these dentist were individuals with their own practices so I created specific designs tailored to their individual tastes. These designs stand on their own but work together because for each design I used blue as the primary color.

Dentist Logos – The Art of Dental Logo Design

While the aesthetics of dentist logo designs are important in designing effective dentist logos, aesthetics shouldn’t be the driving force behind every dentist logo design. Effective dental logo designs don’t try and explain everything that a dental practice is or what they do; what they should do is project an approachable comforting image that doesn’t get in the way of itself by trying to be more of a sales pitch instead of a logo.

Not just another cliched Dentist Logo

Dentist logos are one of those types of logo designs that run a high risk of looking just like every other dental logo that relies on the same old cliches of a happy tooth or a big smile. The biggest challenge is putting a new spin on the old standard and ImageCo does this fairly well because we don’t focus so much on the aesthetics of the design but the driving personality of the business it represents and in the different ways that a dentist’s logo is going to be utilized. Not every dentist logo has to translate into a sign but if you approach each project as though it will have to work as a dentist sign than you can be assured you can be assured that each dentist logo design is going to clear and concise and will work for any type of advertising.

The biggest mistake in Dentist Logo Design

Some logo designers approach dentist logos by trying to find out what the dentist wants his dental logo to look like and then try and design exactly what he describes; ImageCo focuses more on what each dentist hopes to accomplish and what kind of image they hope to project. I am an expert at designing logos and dentist are experts in their own field; when I need to have some dental work done I go to my dentist and rely on their expertise. When a dentist comes to ImageCo to have their dental logo designed they rely on my expertise and my expertise isn’t limited to designing attractive dentist logos but it also consist of understanding how logos work and helping my customers understand what exactly a logo is how best to utilize their logo in their dental business.

How effective is your Dentist Logo

When the company that designs your logo provides a proof of your dental logo design, usually online, take a step back and think about it, literally… take ten steps back from your computer screen and see how it reads. This will give you a somewhat accurate indication of the effectiveness of how your dentist logo will work in the real world and how it will translate into an effective dentist sign. Now imagine somebody driving by your logo at 50 miles an hour and ask yourself these questions:

  1. Can your logo be read easily?
  2. Can it be understood in 2-3 seconds?
  3. Is your dentist logo memorable?
  4. Does it stand out from the other dentist logos in your market

If the answer to any of these questions is no then this dentist logo design is likely failing you in some way.

Why hire ImageCo to design your Dentist Logo

I’m one of those logo designers that actually know what I’m talking about, I began my logo design career years ago designing electrical signs for all types of businesses (dentists included)and because of this I came to understand what makes for an effective sign are the same design principles that translate into designing effective logos. I understand that while a logo needs to be attractive, logos also serve a purpose that goes well beyond aesthetics. A logo is a tool that works for or against a business, a logo will either compel or repel potential customers or it will fall right in the middle and be forgotten as soon as it is viewed. Logo designs have to hit a sweet spot and strike the right balance between function and beauty; and the beauty of a logo design isn’t about it’s appearance, the true beauty of a logo design is in the results it produces.
