Palm Harbor Logo Design

Nearly every new Palm Harbor business knows they are in need of a logo, however few entrepreneurs thoroughly realize the vital role their business logo can make in their becoming successful, or the reason that one logo performs more effectively than another. A business logo has an immediate and long term influence on the success of a company, go with the right one and it will make the door swing and cash register ring, go with the wrong one and it can be a barrier and a hindrance for the life of an organization. The logos included in the ImageCo portfolio help Palm Harbor companies prosper, they are effective in any given scenario and the reason why they are so effective is that they all have these five features in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logo designs don’t demand deliberation, they can be realized in just a look.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to posters a scalable business logo will remain legible and equally emotive at every size.
  3. Versatility: logos that operate on any device, in print, on packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball-cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are unique, and they are suitable for the organization they stand for.
  5. Relevance: a company logo must be lasting and will feel relevant today, tomorrow, and thirty years from today.

Retro logo style of a bicycle developed for a Palm Harbor coffee cafe as well as a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This fledgling coffee roaster and coffee bar were actually opening up in an old part of the town and wished to visualize a nostalgic atmosphere without coming across as monotonous or low energy. I accomplished both of these jobs by means of designing a company logo concept that includes a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is antiquated, high energy, and is a timeless business image.

medical logo design with a microscope slide as well as germs developed for Palm Harbor medical clinic.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the science which investigates the triggers and consequences of diseases, mainly the branch of healthcare that works with the laboratory examination of specimens of human body cellular material for diagnostic or forensic purposes.

The Mid-Valley Pathology logo I came up with is the sole instance I remember in which I was in a position to integrate a bacteria-laden microscope slide right into a business logo design.

Usually I attempt not to be extremely literal with a design and to a degree, this specific design approaches the company it represents rather literally, but it does it in a way that incorporates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an explanation of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancer to the brand that makes it more captivating, more interest grabbing and more unforgettable.

logo design with a jumping green frog developed for a family members fun facility in Palm Harbor.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a really fun project to work on, probably because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the usual of the kinds of projects which come my way, I’ve produced dozens of logo designs for doctors, dental practices, and attorneys but Cool Springz is without question the only trampoline park that I have ever had the privilege to work on.

Given that the full name of the company has the word springz in its name the obvious choice would have been to integrate a couple of springs into the concept but Cool Springz is a fun location to go and spring doesn’t really reflect an atmosphere of fun does it. My thought process on this logo design project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, inevitably I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the name itself to provide the logo a much more dynamic high energy mood.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my brainchild and named the frog Jax and integrated him in to everything they utilized for promotion and marketing. I also think this is the only time that a logo I created was transformed into a mascot when they had a staff member costume fashioned to look exactly like my frog design.

photography logo design featuring a group of birds, a hill, a path, a stream, and a tree - made for Palm Harbor travel photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo job I took on for a travel photographer, which is a fairly niche field of photography and I believe it is a niche sector because travel photographers don’t capture places or things but rather communicate emotional journeys through the pictures they record. The thought behind this logo composition was to use negative space to reveal more than what was visible upon initial view, which I think is representative of the majority of good photographers in that they frequently tell entire stories using their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a 1000 words but I think that some photographs convey a lot more than that because their photos frequently have an emotional fullness which can’t be communicated with just words. I made an effort to do something comparable to this logo design by making use of the positive space in the design to voice one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was conveyed through the first impression. I think, in looking back, that my goal was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Palm Harbor logo design but also to illustrate the depth to her work and in the way that she views the world through the lens of her camera.

Palm Harbor logo layout with a seagull used for the letter A. Designed for a cordless retail company.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The bulk of business logo design projects that I take on I really relish and the Coastal Wireless design was one that I really felt good about, but the customer didn’t quite share my enthusiasm for it. I felt really good about the concept of using the seagull form as a stroke in the character A but the customer, even though he liked the concept, really did not care for my choice of birds. This guy genuinely disliked seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, thankfully the rest of his family did not share his aversion for this particular breed of sea bird.

When I turn a concept over to a client I urge them to discuss it with friends and colleagues and family members as well as with individuals that they don’t even know so as to get unprejudiced point of views on the benefit of a concept. Fortunately, he shared it with his family members and they loved the concept and were able to persuade him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to incorporate every other seabird he could think of … eventually I was able to talk him out of his preference of a pelican and he went with the original design.

Logos are a weird animal in the design world given that the people that are inclined to hire a professional to create their business logo recognize how crucial a logo design is for their company so they are much more vested in the result. Every logo job possesses it’s allotment of challenges, however the biggest challenge is identifying that sweet spot in a design that functions really well at the job it’s needed to do in branding a company and also giving the customer the image they see for themselves.

a red panda logo layout with bamboo in the background, style for Palm Harbor publication publisher

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a slender piece of real estate to work with, but it is the most vital part of a printed book because it is in most cases the very first thing a person views in the bookstore. Regarding a publishing company, it’s the opportunity that they will likely ever get to spotlight their product and get their logo design in front of the people that buy actual books.

This three color design is vivid, colorful and eye-catching and it gives plenty of territory for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo made for an airline in Los Angeles, the logo design has two letter A's with the bars modified to suggest they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines arrive and go however it looks like that in many instances 1 of the items consumers often tend to recall the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a young fledgling commuter/shuttle airline company based in LA and although I’m not certain it really “took off” their logo design didn’t ground them. The bookend A’s in their title lent itself well to conferring a feeling of flight and it was undoubtedly a success.

Palm Harbor logo layout made use of for advertising as well as a tag design for Vintage Situation includes an old-fashioned font style style.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case focused in new cases for music instruments, which appeared to be vintage cases. For this business logo concept I attempted to come up with a logo that possessed a fluid retro feel to it and could be used for everything from a web page to an insignia on brand new cases that seemed like they were from a different point in time.

Logo developed for an orthodontist in Palm Harbor, style include an arc with lines converging via it to imply metal dental braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental logos can be one of the most challenging and difficult logo design projects considering that it appears that almost every dental professional involves a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dental logo designs are one of the most cliche ridden professions when it comes to company marketing, if dining establishments approached their branding in the same way dental practitioners do every one of their company logos would definitely be a picture trying to explain something they served, McDonalds would likely have a picture of a potato and a cow.

I understand the thinking behind incorporating an image of something mouth associated to a dentist’s company logo nevertheless it has to be performed subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dentists logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental care industry.

I really love doing dental logos simply because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies dentistry or a particular field of dental treatment like orthodontics without resorting to the stereotypical approach that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics offered such an opportunity and subsequently I created a design that does not have a single smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t obvious, they are still suggested in the design. When I turned this particular design over to the client the only smile that was evident was really the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo made for a household not-for-profit, the logo includes 4 personalities staggered in elevation to stand for a family unit with in the layout.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation contacted ImageCo to help them come up with a logo that would be representative of the love that William McNally had for the folks in his community. The majority of logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain portrayals of a happy family, a cliche heavy technique to any logo design is to be far too literal pertaining to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve found that the best designs are the ones that are downplayed and don’t hit the viewer on the head with what the business or institution wishes to communicate.

The McNally Foundation’s name provided a distinct opportunity to do a logo design which conveyed that they were about families without being openly corny about it. The objective of a logo design is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer makes an effort to use the logo design to summarize precisely how people should think or feel they don’t understand the objective of a logo. If people have to think about a logo design to understand what it means, it has failed, a logo needs to be immediately understood and a logo design that explains itself will never have the likelihood to be comprehended.

Logo layout created for a hair design workshop featuring a script font a hummingbird as well as a suggested orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios desired a business logo that carried a spirit of contentment and elegance for their new hair salon. I created a design which did not go the obvious route of creating merely a stylized orchid but rather created a logo design which implied a flower in the formation of a swirl incorporated into the letter O in the title and by placing attention on the concept along with the figure of a hummingbird hovering over the logo itself. The obvious path in creating a business logo is usually the incorrect course and in this case, the design ended up not being about the orchid but instead placed the main focus on the perception that they really wanted to transmit to their customers.

Dazzo Arabians | Logo Design

ImageCo developed an original brand concept tailored to illustrate the unique physical traits of the Arabian pedigree of horses. By having a distinctive head form and high tail posture, the Arabian is one of the most quite easily recognizable horse types in the whole world.

Logo style for a software designer the style functions and legendary component of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the central component of an operating system (OS). Traditionally, the kernel is responsible for memory administration, process and task management, and disk managing. The kernel unites the computer hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that behaves as a bridge between the software program and computer hardware.

The logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is located a number of miles from the offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to identify anything to anyone regarding what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. But it represented something to the business owner of the business and in many cases the significance supporting a company logo is equally as important as how it brands the organization it stands for.

A logo layout including a fisherman in the center of the name casting a fly in the direction of the viewer.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brands like Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in over 7 billion a year offering supplies and equipment to outdoor sporting fans the owners of On the Fly realized the market was primed for an outdoor sporting retailer that functions as a consignment business. Whether you are into boating, sportfishing or mountain climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly presents a destination for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all sorts of passions, a spot to sell off their secondhand products to other sports enthusiasts. I tailored their Palm Harbor logo design dsign with an image which garners the interest of traffic and projects an image that calls to mind the passion of the outdoors. With traffic that averages forty five mph I realized it would take more than the average logo/sign to get commuters to take notice, hence the graphic of a fly fisherman in his natural and relaxed habitat.
Logo layout MQ ranches, this logo style has actually a field incorporated into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms brand design wasn’t really developed for an Palm Harbor regional farm it was really developed for a products broker, and this logo design was one of many which fell beneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The objective was actually to design a brand mark that projects self-assurance, success, and wealth.
Logo developed for the use of a sign for the dining establishment (Brewgrrs), it is a luxuriant script typeface that is reminiscent of a popular sports group logo design.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I’ve created quite a lot of restaurant logos and establishment signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the USA, from cupcake bake shops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I believe Brewgrrs was my absolute favorite. Brewgrrs was a neat project in which I worked closely with the proprietor to design a logo design which worked extremely well and did a great job to brand them, it worked on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the lighted signage which hung over their doors, and was highly visible and very easy to read from over a block away.
