Concord Logo Design

Nearly every new Concord business realizes that they require a logo, however few entrepreneurs fully are aware of the essential role their company logo will make in their success, or why one logo functions more effectively than another. A logo design has a critical and sustaining impact on the growth of a business, choose the right one and it can make the door swing and cash register ring, choose the wrong one and it will be a barrier and a hindrance for the life of a company. The logos presented in the ImageCo portfolio help Concord businesses prosper, they are effective in any given circumstance and the reason why they are so effective is because they all have these five traits in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logos do not demand consideration, they can be grasped in just a look.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to posters a scalable logo design will be legible and just as emotive at every size.
  3. Versatility: logos that operate on any device, in print, on product packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are exclusive, and they are suitable for the company they stand for.
  5. Relevance: a company logo must be ageless and will feel relevant today, tomorrow, and twenty five years from today.

Retro logo layout of a bike developed for a Concord coffee cafe and also a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This fledgling coffee roaster and bistro were opening in an old section of the city and wanted to visualize an old-fashioned feel without appearing as monotonous or low energy. I achieved each of the tasks by means of creating a logo concept that contains a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is antiquated, higher energy, and is a timeless business image.

medical logo layout with a microscopic lense slide as well as bacteria developed for Concord clinical center.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the science that examines the triggers and consequences of diseases, mainly the branch of medicine that works with the clinical evaluation of specimens of body cellular material for diagnostic or forensic purposes.

The Mid-Valley Pathology logo I came up with is really the only instance I recollect in which I was able to incorporate a bacteria-laden microscope slide right into a logo design.

Typically I attempt not to be excessively literal with a design and to a degree, this specific design approaches the company it represents rather literally, yet it does it in a fashion that incorporates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an explanation of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancer to the brand that makes it more captivating, more focus grabbing and a lot more meaningful.

logo style with a leaping environment-friendly frog made for a family members enjoyable facility in Concord.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a very fun project to work on, most likely because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the norm of the kinds of jobs which come my way, I’ve done dozens of logo designs for physicians, dental offices, and lawyers but Cool Springz is without question the one and only trampoline park that I have ever had the opportunity to work on.

Given that the name of the business has the word springz in its name the clear choice would have been to include a some springs into the design but Cool Springz is a fun destination to go and spring does not actually reflect an atmosphere of fun does it. My thought process on this logo project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, eventually I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the name itself to give the logo a more enthusiastic high energy impression.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my design and named the frog Jax and integrated him in to everything they utilized for marketing and advertising. I also believe this is the only time that a logo I did was transformed into a mascot when they had an employee costume fashioned to look just like my frog design.

digital photography logo design featuring a flock of birds, a hill, a trail, a stream, as well as a tree - made for Concord traveling photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a custom logo design project I took on for a travel photographer, which is a pretty niche field of photography and I think it is a niche speciality due to the fact that travel photographers tend not to capture places or things but instead communicate emotional journeys through the photos they capture. The thought behind this logo design was to use negative space to convey more than what was visible upon first glance, which I think is representative of the majority of good photographers in that they often share whole stories using their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a thousand words but I think that some photographs convey a great deal more than that because their photos frequently have an emotional resonance which can’t be conveyed with mere words. I tried to do something much the same to this logo design by employing the positive space in the design to suggest one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was communicated through the first impression. I think, in hindsight, that my goal was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Concord logo design but also to reveal the depth in her art and in the way that she perceives the world through the lens of her camera.

Concord logo layout with a seagull made use of for the letter A. Designed for a wireless retail company.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The bulk of business logo design jobs that I take on I really enjoy and the Coastal Wireless design was one that I really felt good about, however the client didn’t quite share my excitement for it. I felt really good about the concept of using the seagull shape as a stroke in the letter A but the client, even though he loved the concept, didn’t care for my choice of birds. This particular man seriously hated seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, thankfully the rest of his friends and family didn’t share his aversion for this specific kind of sea bird.

When I turn a concept over to a customer I encourage them to talk about it with friends and colleagues and family as well as with folks that they don’t even know so as to get objective assessments on the worthiness of a design concept. Fortunately, he talked about it with his family and they really liked the concept and were able to reason with him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to insert every other seabird he could think of … in the end I was able to talk him out of his preference of a pelican and he went with the original concept.

Logos are a strange creature in the design world given that the people that are inclined to hire a professional to create their logo design recognize how crucial a logo is for their business so they are way more invested in the result. Every logo design project has it’s portion of challenges, however the largest challenge is finding that sweet spot in a design that operates really well at the job it’s required to do in branding a business and also providing the client the identity they see for themselves.

a red panda logo design with bamboo in the background, style for Concord publication publisher

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a narrow parcel of real estate to work with, nevertheless it is the most vital part of a printed book due to the fact that it is often the initial thing a person sees in the book store. Concerning a publishing company, it’s the best opportunity that they will likely ever get to publicize their brand and get their logo design in front of the people that purchase actual books.

This three color design is vibrant, picturesque and eye-catching and it leaves plenty of room for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo made for an airline in Los Angeles, the logo has two letter A's with benches customized to suggest they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines arrive and go yet it looks like that in many cases 1 of the aspects individuals often tend to recall the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a smaller start-up commuter/shuttle air service situated in LA and although I’m not certain it actually “took off” their logo didn’t ground them. The bookend A’s in their name lent itself well to conferring a good sense of flight and it was definitely a success.

Concord logo design used for advertising as well as a label style for Vintage Case includes an old-fashioned font style style.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case focused in new cases for music instruments, which seemed to be much older cases. For this logo design I tried to come up with a logo that had a fluid nostalgic feel to it and could be utilized for every thing from a web page to an insignia on brand new cases that looked like they were from a different era.

Logo created for an orthodontist in Concord, style consist of an arc with lines converging via it to indicate steel braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental business logos can easily be one of the most challenging and difficult logo design projects considering that it appears that virtually every dental professional involves a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dental logo designs are one of the very most cliche ridden careers when it comes to company marketing, if dining establishments approached their advertising in the same way dental practitioners do every one of their logo designs would be a picture trying to explain anything they served, McDonalds would probably have an image of a potato and a cow.

I recognize the thinking behind adding an image of something mouth related to a dentist’s logo design nevertheless it has to be performed subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dental professionals logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental care profession.

I really love doing dental business logos simply because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies the field of dentistry or a specific field of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the stereotypical course of action that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics provided such an opportunity and subsequently I created a design that does not have a single smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t overt, they are still implied in the concept. When I turned this concept over to the customer the only smile that was evident was really the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo design designed for a family members nonprofit, the logo design features 4 characters surprised in height to represent a family with in the design.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation asked ImageCo to help them come up with a logo that would be depictive of the devotion that William McNally had for the residents in his city. Most logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain images of a happy family, a cliche heavy method to any logo design is to be overly literal about what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve discovered that the best concepts are the ones that are downplayed and never hit the viewer on the head with what the business or organization wishes to project.

The McNally Foundation’s name presented a distinct opportunity to do a logo design which conveyed that they were about families without being overtly cheesy about it. The aim of a logo is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer attempts to use the logo design to summarize how people ought to think or feel they don’t understand the objective of a logo. If viewers have to think about a logo to understand what it means, it has been in vain, a logo needs to be instantly comprehended and a logo design that illustrates itself will never have the chance to be comprehended.

Logo style developed for a hair style studio including a manuscript font a hummingbird and also a suggested orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios needed a logo design which carried a feeling of serenity and class for their new hair salon. I came up with a design that did not go the obvious path of making just a stylized orchid but alternatively designed a logo design which suggested an orchid in the formation of a swirl featured in to the letter O in the name and by placing emphasis on the logo design along with the figure of a hummingbird hovering over the logo design itself. The obvious path in creating a logo is usually the wrong direction and in this case, the design ended up not being about the orchid but instead placed the importance on the emotion that they really wanted to forecast to their patrons.

Logo design for a software application programmer the layout features as well as famous element of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the central component of an operating system (OS). Generally, the kernel is responsible for memory management, process and task management, and disk operations. The kernel links the system hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that acts as a bridge between the software and computer hardware.

The logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is situated a number of miles from the business offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to describe anything to anyone with regards to what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. But it meant something to the business owner of the business and in many cases the significance supporting a logo design is equally as important as how it serves the enterprise it represents.

A logo design including a fisherman in the center of the name casting a fly in the direction of the visitor.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brands such as Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in more than 7 billion a year selling supplies and equipment to outdoor sporting enthusiasts the owners of On the Fly knew the market was ready for an outdoor sporting store that functions as a consignment firm. Whether you are into boating, fishing or rock climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly presents a destination for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all sorts of interests, a location to sell off their secondhand goods to other sports enthusiasts. I tailored their Concord logo design dsign along with a graphic which captures the interest of vehicles and sends an image that invokes the enthusiasm of the outdoors. With visitor traffic that averages forty five miles per hour I realized it would take more than the average logo/sign to get commuters to take notice, hence the graphic of a fly fisherman in his natural and serene habitat.
Logo layout MQ ranches, this logo layout has a field included right into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms emblem concept wasn’t really designed for an Concord area farm it was actually created for a commodities broker, and this particular company logo was one of multiple which fell beneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The objective was to generate a graphic that projects esteem, financial success, and wealth.
Logo design created for using an indication for the restaurant (Brewgrrs), it is an elaborate script font style that is reminiscent of a popular sports group logo design.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I have created dozens of restaurant logo designs and establishment signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the United States, from cupcake bakeries to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I think Brewgrrs was my favorite. Brewgrrs was a neat undertaking in which I worked closely with the owner to develop a logo which worked really well and did a fantastic job to brand them, it worked on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the neon sign that hung above their doors, and was highly visible and very easy to read from over a block away.
