Cullman Logo Design

Each and every new Cullman company understands that they need a logo, however few entrepreneurs thoroughly grasp the crucial role their logo design can make in their success, or the reason that one logo performs better than another. A company logo has a critical and long term impact on the success of a company, select the correct one and it will make the door swing and phone ring, go with the incorrect one and it can be a barrier and a hindrance for the life of a business. The logos included in the ImageCo portfolio help Cullman companies succeed, they are effective in any given circumstance and the reason they are so effective is that they all have these five traits in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logos don’t require deliberation, they can be realized in just a glimpse.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to billboards a scalable logo design will continue to be legible and just as emotive at virtually any scale.
  3. Versatility: logos that function on any device, in print, on packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball-cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are personal, and they are suitable for the organization they represent.
  5. Relevance: a business logo should be lasting and should feel relevant today, tomorrow, and twenty years from now.

Retro logo design of a bicycle developed for a Cullman coffee cafe and a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This start-up coffee roaster and bistro were opening up in an older part of the area and hoped to visualize an old-fashioned feel without appearing as stodgy or low energy. I accomplished both tasks by developing a business logo design that includes a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is old-fashioned, high energy, and is a classic business image.

medical logo style with a microscope slide and also germs developed for Cullman clinical clinic.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the scientific discipline which analyzes the triggers and effects of diseases, especially the field of healthcare which works with the clinical assessment of samplings of human body cellular material for diagnostic or forensic reasons.

The Mid-Valley Pathology logo design I came up with is the only instance I remember where I was in a position to incorporate a bacteria-laden microscope slide within a business logo design.

Usually I try not to be overly literal with a concept and to a degree, this design approaches the company it represents rather literally, but it does it in a way that incorporates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an illustration of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancer to the brand that makes it more appealing, more focus grabbing and even more memorable.

logo design with a jumping environment-friendly frog made for a family members fun facility in Cullman.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a very cool project to work on, probably because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s additionally a project that is way out of the norm of the kinds of projects that come my way, I’ve produced dozens of logo designs for health care providers, dentists, and legal professionals but Cool Springz is without question the only trampoline park that I have ever had the opportunity to work on.

Given that the title of the business has the word springz in its name the apparent choice would have been to feature a handful of springs into the concept but Cool Springz is a fun destination to go and spring does not really resonate an environment of fun does it. My thought process on this logo design project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, eventually I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the name itself to give the logo a better lively high energy mood.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my concept and named the frog Jax and included him in to everything they used for marketing and advertising. I also think this is the only time that a logo I created was made into a mascot when they had an employee costume fabricated to look exactly like my frog design.

digital photography logo design featuring a flock of birds, a hill, a path, a stream, and a tree - created for Cullman traveling professional photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo job I took on for a travel photographer, which is a rather niche field of photography and I believe it is a niche area because travel photographers tend not to shoot places or things but rather communicate emotional experiences through the images they record. The thought behind this logo composition was to make use of negative space to reveal more than what was visible upon first glance, which I think is representative of the majority of good photographers in that they oftentimes share entire stories using their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a thousand words but I think that some photographs convey much more than that because their photos often have an emotional resonance which can’t be conveyed with just words. I attempted to do something very similar to this logo by employing the positive space in the design to suggest one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was communicated through the first impression. I think, in looking back, that my goal was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Cullman logo design but also to reveal the depth of her art and in the way that she sees the world through the lens of her camera.

Cullman logo layout with a seagull utilized for the letter A. Designed for a wireless retail company.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The lion’s share of logo design projects that I take on I seriously savor and the Coastal Wireless project was one that I really felt good about, however the customer didn’t quite share my excitement for it. I felt really good about the concept of using the seagull silhouette as a stroke in the letter A but my client, while he loved the concept, didn’t care for my choice of birds. This particular guy truly loathed seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, thankfully the rest of his family did not share his aversion for this particular kind of sea bird.

When I turn a concept over to a customer I urge them to share it with friends and family members as well as with other people that they don’t even know so as to get impartial judgements on the merit of a design concept. Fortunately, he talked about it with his whole family and they loved the design and were able to reason with him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to include every other seabird he could think of … eventually I was able to talk him out of his preference of a pelican and he went with the original design.

Business logos are a weird animal in the design world given that the people that have a tendency to hire an expert to create their business logo comprehend how important a logo design is for their business so they are much more vested in the end result. Every logo job possesses it’s share of challenges, however the most significant challenge is finding that sweet spot in a design that functions really well at the task it’s needed to do in branding a business and also giving the customer the identity they see for themselves.

a red panda logo design with bamboo in the background, design for Cullman book author

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a slender segment of real estate to work with, but it is the most critical part of a published book due to the fact that it is ordinarily the first thing a person sees in the bookstore. Concerning a publisher, it’s the most ideal opportunity that they will ever get to spotlight their brand and get their logo design in front of the people that buy actual books.

This 3 color design is vivid, colorful and eye-catching and it gives plenty of space for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo made for an airline company in Los Angeles, the logo design has 2 letter A's with the bars customized to suggest they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines arrive and go yet it looks like that in many occurrences 1 of the aspects individuals usually tend to remember the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a smaller start-up commuter/shuttle airline situated in LA and although I’m not certain it really “took off” their logo design didn’t ground them. The bookend A’s in their brand lent itself well to affording a sense of airline flight and it was certainly a victory.

Cullman logo layout utilized for marketing as well as a tag style for Vintage Case features an old-fashioned typeface style.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in brand-new cases for music instruments, which seemed to be antique cases. For this logo concept I tried to come up with a logo that provided a fluid old-fashioned feel to it and could easily be used for anything from a web page to an insignia on brand new cases that appeared like they were from a different era.

Logo developed for an orthodontist in Cullman, design include an arc with lines intersecting with it to imply metal braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dentistry business logos can easily be one of the most challenging logo jobs because it seems that almost every dentist involves a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dental logo designs are one of the most cliche ridden fields when it comes to small business marketing, if restaurants approached their advertising in the exact same way dentists do every one of their logo designs would definitely be a picture explaining anything they served, McDonalds would most likely contain an image of a potato and a cow.

I understand the thinking behind incorporating an illustration of something mouth related to a dentist’s company logo nevertheless it has to be performed subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dental professionals logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental industry.

I actually love doing dental logo designs simply because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies the field of dentistry or a specific field of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the stereotypical approach that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics delivered such an opportunity and eventually I created a concept that doesn’t have a solitary smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t obvious, they are still suggested in the concept. When I turned this particular concept over to the client the only smile that was apparent was the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo design designed for a family not-for-profit, the logo features 4 personalities startled in height to represent a family with in the layout.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation reached out to ImageCo to help them come up with a brand identity design that would be representative of the devotion that William McNally had for the folks in his community. Most logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain portrayals of a happy family, a cliche heavy method to any logo design is to be overly literal pertaining to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve discovered that the best designs are the ones that are downplayed and don’t hit the viewer on the head with what the business or organization wants to project.

The McNally Foundation’s name provided a distinct opportunity to do a logo design that communicated that they were about families without being openly tacky about it. The aim of a logo is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer makes an effort to use the logo to explain how people ought to think or feel they don’t understand the objective of a logo. If you have to ponder a logo design to understand what it means, it has failed, a logo needs to be instantly understood and a logo that illustrates itself won’t have the opportunity to be comprehended.

Logo design created for a hair layout studio featuring a script font a hummingbird and an implied orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios desired a logo design which communicated a spirit of tranquility and class for their new hair salon. I came up with a concept that didn’t go the obvious path of designing just a stylized orchid but rather crafted a logo design which implied an orchid in the formation of a swirl featured into the letter O in the title and by placing attention on the logo design using the figure of a hummingbird floating above the logo itself. The obvious path in creating a business logo is frequently the incorrect path and in this case, the design ended up not being about the orchid but instead placed the importance on the perception that they wanted to transmit to their clients.

Logo style for a software designer the style attributes and legendary component of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the key part of an operating system (OS). Traditionally, the kernel is responsible for memory administration, process and task management, and disk operations. The kernel unites the system hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that operates as a connection in between the software and hardware.

The business logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is located a couple of miles from the offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to identify anything to anyone with regards to what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. But it symbolized something to the owner of the business and in quite a few cases the meaning supporting a business logo is just as important as how it brands the business it stands for.

A logo style featuring a fisherman in the center of the name casting a fly in the direction of the customer.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brand names like Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in more than 7 billion a year retailing supplies and equipment to outdoor sporting enthusiasts the owners of On the Fly recognized the market was prepared for an outdoor sporting merchant that functions as a consignment business. Whether or not you are into boating, sportfishing or rock climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly presents a location for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all sorts of passions, a spot to market their previously owned products to other sports enthusiasts. I tailored their Cullman business logo dsign using an image that garners the interest of vehicles and sends an image that calls to mind the passion of the outdoors. With visitor traffic that averages forty five miles per hour I knew it would take more than the typical logo/sign to get commuters to take notice, hence the illustration of a fly fisherman in his natural and calm habitat.
Logo layout MQ farms, this logo layout has an area included into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms business logo idea wasn’t actually developed for an Cullman regional farm it was actually developed for a products broker, and this particular company was one of several that fell under the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The goal was really to develop a graphic that projected trust, financial success, and wealth.
Logo developed for using a sign for the dining establishment (Brewgrrs), it is an elaborate manuscript font style that is similar to a famous sporting activities group logo design.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I’ve crafted loads of restaurant logos and business signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the US, from cupcake bakeshops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I believe Brewgrrs was my favorite. Brewgrrs was a cool project where I worked directly with the business owner to design a business logo that worked really well and did a great job to brand them, it functioned on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the illuminated sign which hung above their doors, and was highly visible and very easy to read from over a block away.
