Dixiana Logo Design

Every new Dixiana organization realizes that they are in need of a logo, yet few entrepreneurs entirely understand the vital role their logo will make in their financial success, or the reason that one logo functions more effectively than another. A logo has a critical and sustaining influence on the prosperity of a business, pick the correct one and it can make the door swing and phone ring, select the wrong one and it can be a barrier and an impediment for the life span of a company. The logos included in the ImageCo portfolio help Dixiana companies succeed, they are effective in any given situation and the reason why they are so effective is that they all have these five traits in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logos don’t require deliberation, they can be realized in merely a glance.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to posters a scalable business logo will be legible and equally emotive at virtually any scale.
  3. Versatility: logos that function on any device, in print, on packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball-cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are exclusive, and they are suitable for the organization they stand for.
  5. Relevance: a company logo needs to be lasting and will feel relevant today, tomorrow, and thirty years from now.

Retro logo layout of a bike developed for a Dixiana coffee cafe and also a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This fledgling coffee roaster and coffee bar were launching in an older part of the town and hoped to cast an old-fashioned vibe without appearing as stodgy or low energy. I accomplished the two tasks by developing a custom logo concept that incorporates a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is old-fashioned, high energy, and is a enduring business image.

clinical logo style with a microscopic lense slide and bacteria created for Dixiana medical center.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the science that analyzes the triggers and consequences of diseases, especially the branch of healthcare that works with the clinical examination of specimens of human body tissue for diagnostic or forensic reasons.

The Mid-Valley Pathology logo I came up with is really the only instance I call to mind where I was able to integrate a bacteria-laden microscope slide within a logo design.

Generally I try not to be excessively literal with a concept and to a point, this design approaches the company it serves fairly literally, yet it does it in a way that incorporates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as a description of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancer to the brand that helps make it more interesting, more interest grabbing and much more meaningful.

logo design with a leaping green frog made for a household fun facility in Dixiana.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a very fun project to work on, most likely because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s additionally a project that is way out of the norm of the kinds of projects that come my way, I’ve done dozens of logo designs for physicians, dental experts, and attorneys but Cool Springz is without question the one and only trampoline park that I have ever gotten the opportunity to work on.

Given that the full name of the business features the word springz in its name the obvious choice would have been to feature a few springs into the concept but Cool Springz is a fun location to go and spring does not really resonate an environment of fun does it. My thought process on this logo design project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, ultimately I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the title itself to give the logo a more lively high energy atmosphere.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my brainchild and named the frog Jax and integrated him in to everything they used for marketing. I also think this is the only time that a logo I came up with was made into a mascot when they had an employee costume fabricated to look exactly like my frog design.

digital photography logo design featuring a flock of birds, a mountain, a trail, a stream, and also a tree - made for Dixiana traveling photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo design job I took on for a travel photographer, which is a rather specialized field of photography and I think it is a niche profession because travel photographers tend not to shoot places or things but rather reveal emotional experiences through the photos they capture. The thought behind this logo composition was to use negative space to communicate more than what was visible upon first glance, which I think is representative of the majority of professional photographers in that they oftentimes share entire stories using their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a thousand words but I think that some photographs convey a great deal more than that because their photos frequently have an emotional fullness which can’t be revealed with mere words. I made an effort to do something much the same to this logo by making use of the positive space in the design to voice one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was communicated through the first impression. I think, in hindsight, that my goal was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Dixiana logo but also to reveal the depth of her art and in the way that she sees the world through the lens of her camera.

Dixiana logo style with a seagull used for the letter A. Designed for a cordless retail organisation.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The lion’s share of logo design projects that I take on I truly enjoy and the Coastal Wireless project was one that I certainly felt good about, but the customer didn’t quite share my excitement for it. I felt really good about the concept of using the seagull form as a stroke in the character A however my customer, while he loved the concept, didn’t care for my choice of birds. This guy seriously disliked seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, thankfully the rest of his family did not share his hatred for this specific type of sea bird.

When I turn a design over to a customer I urge them to discuss it with friends and colleagues and family as well as with individuals that they don’t actually know so as to get impartial opinions on the merit of a concept. Fortunately, he talked about it with his whole family and they really loved the design and were able to reason with him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to insert every other seabird he could think of … ultimately I was able to talk him out of his choice of a pelican and he proceeded with the original concept.

Business logos are a weird creature in the design world because the people that are inclined to hire an expert to create their business logo recognize how vital a logo is for their company so they are way more vested in the end result. Every logo design job has it’s share of hurdles, but the largest obstacle is identifying that sweet spot in a design that operates really well at the job it’s needed to do in branding a company and also giving the customer the image they see for themselves.

a red panda logo style with bamboo behind-the-scenes, design for Dixiana book author

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a thin slice of real estate to work with, yet it is the most necessary part of a printed book because it is ordinarily the first thing a person sees in the bookstore. With respect to a publisher, it’s the most ideal opportunity that they will likely ever get to spotlight their label and get their logo design in front of the men and women that purchase actual books.

This three color design is vibrant, picturesque and eye-catching and it gives plenty of area for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo created for an airline company in Los Angeles, the logo has 2 letter A's with benches changed to suggest they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines come and go yet it seems that in many cases 1 of the things consumers often tend to recollect the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a modest startup commuter/shuttle airline situated in LA and although I’m not certain it actually “took off” their custom logo didn’t slow them. The bookend A’s in their title lent itself well to conferring a sense of flight and it was certainly a winner.

Dixiana logo design utilized for advertising as well as a label style for Vintage Case includes an old-fashioned font design.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case focused in brand-new cases for musical instruments, which looked to be antique cases. For this logo concept I attempted to come up with a logo that possessed a fluid old-fashioned feel to it and could easily be utilized for every thing from a website to a label on brand new cases that seemed like they were from another point in time.

Logo developed for an orthodontist in Dixiana, style include an arc with lines intersecting with it to suggest steel braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental care logo designs can easily be one of the most challenging and difficult logo jobs because it appears that virtually every dental professional integrates a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dentistry logo designs are one of the very most cliche ridden careers when it comes to company branding, if restaurants approached their advertising in the very same way dental practitioners do every one of their logo designs would definitely be a picture trying to explain something they served, McDonalds would most likely have a picture of a potato and a cow.

I recognize the thinking behind including an image of something mouth related to a dentist’s logo nevertheless it has to be performed subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dental professionals logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental profession.

I really love doing dental logos because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies dentistry or a specific area of dental treatment like orthodontics without resorting to the stereotypical course of action that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics offered such an opportunity and ultimately I created a layout that doesn’t have a solitary smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t overt, they are still suggested in the design. When I turned this particular concept over to the client the only smile that was evident was really the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo design designed for a household nonprofit, the logo design features 4 personalities surprised in elevation to represent a family with in the layout.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation asked ImageCo to help them come up with a logo that would be representative of the love that William McNally had for the people residing in his city. Most logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain images of a happy family, a cliche heavy strategy to any logo design is to be overly literal pertaining to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve found that the best concepts are the ones that are downplayed and don’t hit the viewer on the head with what the business or institution wants to relate.

The McNally Foundation’s name offered a unique opportunity to do a logo design that communicated that they were about families without being openly tacky about it. The goal of a logo design is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer attempts to use the logo design to summarize specifically how people ought to think or feel they don’t understand the goal of a logo. If viewers have to think about a logo design to understand what it means, it has failed, a logo needs to be instantly comprehended and a logo that illustrates itself will never have the chance to be comprehended.

Logo style created for a hair layout studio including a script font a hummingbird and an implied orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios required a logo which communicated an atmosphere of relaxation and class for their new hair salon. I created a concept which didn’t go the obvious course of creating merely a stylized orchid but instead created a company logo that implied an orchid in the formation of a swirl integrated in to the letter O in the name and by putting emphasis on the logo design using the silhouette of a hummingbird hovering over the logo itself. The obvious path in designing a business logo is generally the incorrect direction and in this case, the design ended up not being about the orchid but instead placed the emphasis on the perception that they really wanted to project to their patrons.

Arabian equine logo design created for an equine cattle ranch that focuses on reproducing Arabian program horses.

Dazzo Arabians | Logo Design

ImageCo designed a one-of-a-kind logo concept fashioned to display the unique physical traits of the Arabian type of horses. With a distinctive head shape and high tail carriage, the Arabian is one of the highly quite easily recognizable equine types in the whole world.

Las Cafe | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

Las Cafe logo design a little restaurant, design consists of a customized manuscript font which hovers above a team of luxuriant lines and dots.

Logo style for a software application designer the design functions as well as renowned component of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the central component of an operating system (OS). Typically, the kernel is responsible for memory administration, process and task control, and disk management. The kernel links the system hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that serves as a connection in between the software program and hardware.

The business logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is located a couple of miles from the offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to spell out anything to anyone regarding what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. However it symbolized something to the owner of the business and in many cases the symbolism supporting a company logo is equally as important as how it serves the enterprise it stands for.

Develop logo style created for a Dixiana interior designer, style function a series of red circles that converge and also change the letter O in the center of the logo style.

Evolv Interior Design | Logo Design | Branding

Advanced Leadership Solutions | Logo Design | Website Design

This particular Dixiana logo design assignment was performed for a management consultant that aids business leaders to develop into more successful at overseeing people, expectations, and profitability.

A logo layout including a fisherman in the middle of the name casting a fly towards the audience.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brands like Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in more than 7 billion a year selling goods and equipment to outdoor sporting enthusiasts the owners of On the Fly recognized the market place was ready for an outdoor sporting retailer that operates as a consignment company. Whether you are into boating, sportfishing or rock climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly provides a venue for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all sorts of passions, a location to market their used equipment to other sports enthusiasts. I created their Dixiana business logo dsign with an image that pulls in the attention of traffic and projects an image that evokes the enthusiasm of the outdoors. With visitor traffic that averages forty five miles per hour I realized it would take more than the typical logo/sign to get commuters to take notice, hence the illustration of a fly fisherman in his natural and tranquil habitat.
Logo layout MQ farms, this logo layout has an area integrated right into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms custom logo design wasn’t really designed for an Dixiana area farm it was actually developed for an investments broker, and this particular logo design was one of several which fell beneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The aim was really to generate a image that projected confidence, effectiveness, and affluence.
Logo created for the use of an indicator for the dining establishment (Brewgrrs), it is an ornate manuscript typeface that is reminiscent of a renowned sporting activities group logo.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I have created dozens of restaurant logos and establishment signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the USA, from cupcake bakeshops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I believe Brewgrrs was my favorite. Brewgrrs was a neat project in which I worked directly with the owner to develop a business logo which worked extremely well and did a fantastic job to brand them, it worked on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the neon sign that hung over their doors, and was highly visible and very legible from over a block away.
