Dothan Logo Design

Each and every new Dothan venture understands that they are in need of a logo, yet few new business owners thoroughly recognize the essential role their logo can take in their success, or precisely why one logo design functions far better than another. A company logo has an immediate and long term influence on the prosperity of a business, choose the right one and it will make the door swing and cash register ring, go with the incorrect one and it can be an obstacle and a hindrance for the life of an organization. The logos included in the ImageCo portfolio help Dothan companies succeed, they are effective in any given situation and the reason why they are so effective is that they all have these five traits in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logos do not demand consideration, they can be understood in just a glance.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to billboards a scalable logo design will remain legible and just as emotive at any dimension.
  3. Versatility: logos that operate on any sort of device, in print, on product packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are unique, and they are suitable for the business they stand for.
  5. Relevance: a logo design should be ageless and should feel relevant today, tomorrow, and twenty years from today.

Retro logo design of a bike created for a Dothan coffee cafe as well as a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This startup coffee roaster and bistro were actually opening up in an older section of the town and wished to project a nostalgic atmosphere without appearing as boring or low energy. I achieved each of the jobs by designing a logo design that contains a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is antiquated, higher energy, and is a timeless business image.

medical logo design with a microscope slide and bacteria made for Dothan clinical clinic.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the scientific discipline that studies the root causes and effects of diseases, mainly the field of medicine which deals with the laboratory examination of samples of body tissue for diagnostic or forensic objectives.

The Mid-Valley Pathology custom logo design I came up with is really the only instance I recall where I was in a position to incorporate a bacteria-laden microscope slide within a business logo design.

Typically I try not to be excessively literal with a concept and to a degree, this design approaches the company it serves very literally, but it does it in a fashion that incorporates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an illustration of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancer to the name that helps make it more captivating, more focus grabbing and even more meaningful.

logo style with a jumping green frog made for a family members fun center in Dothan.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a very cool project to work on, most likely because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s additionally a project that is way out of the norm of the sorts of projects that come my way, I’ve done dozens of logo designs for medical professionals, dental offices, and legal professionals but Cool Springz is without question the one and only trampoline park which I have ever gotten the opportunity to work on.

Given that the title of the company features the word springz in its name the apparent choice would have been to feature a few springs into the concept but Cool Springz is a fun place to go and spring does not really reflect an environment of fun does it. My thought process on this logo design project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, eventually I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the name itself to give the logo a more enthusiastic high energy mood.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my concept and named the frog Jax and included him in to everything they utilized for marketing and advertising. I also believe this is the only time that a logo I came up with was transformed into a mascot when they had an employee costume fashioned to look exactly like my frog design.

digital photography logo design featuring a group of birds, a hill, a path, a stream, as well as a tree - developed for Dothan travel digital photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo job I took on for a travel photographer, which is a rather niche field of photography and I think it is a niche profession because travel photographers tend not to capture locations or things but instead reveal emotional experiences through the pictures they capture. The thought behind this logo composition was to use negative space to reveal more than what was visible upon initial view, which I think is quintessential of most professional photographers in that they oftentimes share whole stories using their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a thousand words but I think that some photographs convey a great deal more than that because their photos often have an emotional resonance that can’t be conveyed with just words. I tried to do something comparable to this logo by using the positive space in the design to say one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was conveyed through the first impression. I think, in hindsight, that my goal was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Dothan logo design but also to show the depth to her art and in the way that she sees the world through the lens of her camera.

Dothan logo layout with a seagull utilized for the letter A. Designed for a wireless retail business.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The bulk of business logo design jobs that I take on I seriously enjoy and the Coastal Wireless assignment was one that I really felt good about, but the customer didn’t quite share my enthusiasm for it. I felt really good about the concept of using the seagull silhouette as a stroke in the letter A however the client, even though he loved the concept, really did not care for my choice of birds. This guy seriously despised seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, thankfully the rest of his family didn’t share his aversion for this specific type of sea bird.

When I turn a design over to a client I encourage all of them to discuss it with friends and family members as well as with people that they don’t actually know so as to get honest judgements on the value of a concept. Fortunately, he shared it with his family and they loved the design and were able to persuade him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to insert every other seabird he could think of … in the end I was able to talk him out of his choice of a pelican and he went with the original design.

Custom logo designs are a strange animal in the design world because the people that have a tendency to hire an expert to create their logo understand how important a logo is for their business so they are way more vested in the result. Every logo design project possesses it’s allotment of difficulties, but the biggest challenge is identifying that sweet spot in a design that functions really well at the job it’s needed to do in branding a company and also providing the customer the identity they see for themselves.

a red panda logo design with bamboo in the background, layout for Dothan book publisher

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a cramped piece of real estate to work with, yet it really is the most necessary part of a printed book given that it is in most cases the very first thing a person sees in the bookstore. With regard to a publisher, it’s the opportunity they will ever have to advertise their label and get their logo design in front of the people that shop for actual books.

This three color design is vibrant, picturesque and eye-catching and it leaves plenty of territory for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo made for an airline in Los Angeles, the logo design has two letter A's with benches customized to imply they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines arrive and depart however it seems that in many cases one of the traits consumers usually tend to recollect the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a modest new venture commuter/shuttle airline company situated in LA and although I’m not certain it actually “took off” their organization logo didn’t slow them. The bookend A’s in their name lent itself well to affording a feeling of airline flight and it was undoubtedly a success.

Dothan logo layout used for advertising and a tag style for Vintage Instance includes an antiquated font layout.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in brand new cases for music instruments, which looked to be much older cases. For this custom logo concept I strove to come up with a logo that had a fluid old-fashioned feel to it and could be utilized for every thing from a web page to an insignia on brand new cases that seemed like they were from another point in time.

Logo produced for an orthodontist in Dothan, style include an arc with lines intersecting through it to indicate steel dental braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental care business logos can be one of the most challenging and difficult logo design projects considering that it appears that each and every dentist includes a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dental business logos are one of the most cliche ridden fields when it comes to business marketing, if restaurants approached their advertising in the same way dental offices do every one of their logo designs would definitely be a picture explaining anything they served, McDonalds would most likely have an image of a potato and a cow.

I recognize the thinking behind including a likeness of something mouth associated to a dentist’s company logo nevertheless it has to be performed subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dentists logo that litter the branding landscape of the dentistry industry.

I really enjoy doing dental care business logos because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies the field of dentistry or a specific area of dental treatment like orthodontics without resorting to the stereotypical approach that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics delivered such an opportunity and subsequently I created a layout that doesn’t have a single smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t obvious, they are still suggested in the design. When I turned this design over to the customer the only smile that was apparent was the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo made for a family nonprofit, the logo features 4 personalities staggered in height to represent a family with in the design.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation asked ImageCo to help them come up with a brand identity design that would be representative of the devotion that William McNally had for the people residing in his city. The majority of logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain depictions of a happy family, a cliche heavy approach to any logo design is to be very literal pertaining to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve found that the best concepts are the ones that are understated and never hit the viewer on the head with what the company or organization hopes to convey.

The McNally Foundation’s name offered a distinct opportunity to do a logo which conveyed that they were about families without being openly corny about it. The objective of a logo is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer attempts to use the logo design to summarize precisely how individuals ought to think or feel they don’t understand the objective of a logo. If viewers have to ponder a logo to understand what it means, it has failed, a logo needs to be instantly understood and a logo that illustrates itself will never have the opportunity to be comprehended.

Logo layout created for a hair layout studio including a manuscript font a hummingbird and a suggested orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios desired a business logo that conveyed an atmosphere of serenity and connection for their new hair salon. I created a concept which did not go the obvious direction of creating simply a stylized orchid but alternatively created a logo design which implied an orchid in the formation of a swirl integrated in to the letter O in the name and by placing emphasis on the logo design using the figure of a hummingbird floating over the image itself. The obvious path in creating a logo design is usually the incorrect path and in this case, the design ended up not being about the flower but instead placed the main focus on the feeling that they really wanted to transmit to their patrons.

Logo layout for a software program designer the design functions as well as legendary aspect of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the principal component of an operating system (OS). Generally, the kernel is responsible for memory management, process and task control, and disk managing. The kernel connects the computer hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that functions as a connection between the software program and hardware.

The logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is situated a few miles from the offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to identify anything to anyone regarding what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. However, it symbolized something to the owner of the company and in quite a few cases the symbolism supporting a logo is just as important as how it brands the enterprise it represents.

A logo design including a fisherman in the middle of the name casting a fly in the direction of the viewer.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brand names such as Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in over 7 billion a year selling supplies and equipment to outdoor sporting enthusiasts the founders of On the Fly realized the market was primed for an outdoor sporting retailer that functions as a consignment firm. Whether you are into boating, fishing or rock climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly provides a place for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all kinds of interests, a location to sell off their secondhand equipment to other sports enthusiasts. I tailored their Dothan business logo dsign utilizing a graphic that garners the interest of vehicles and projects an image that wakens the passion of the outdoors. With traffic that averages forty five miles per hour I knew it would take more than the typical logo/sign to get travelers to take notice, hence the image of a fly fisherman in his natural and peaceful habitat.
Logo style MQ farms, this logo style has actually an area included into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms company logo idea wasn’t really composed for an Dothan area farm it was actually created for an investments broker, and this particular company logo was one of multiple that fell under the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The aim was really to develop a brand mark that projects self-confidence, success, and prosperity.
Logo made for the use of an indication for the dining establishment (Brewgrrs), it is an elaborate manuscript typeface that is similar to a renowned sports group logo design.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I’ve crafted quite a lot of restaurant custom logo designs and establishment signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the United States, from cupcake bakeshops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I think Brewgrrs was my favorite. Brewgrrs was a great undertaking in which I worked directly with the proprietor to produce a business logo that worked extremely well and did a great job to brand them, it functioned on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the neon signage which hung above their doors, and was highly visible and very legible from over a block away.
