POINTERS ON FINDING THE RIGHT LOGO DESIGNER

BUDGET

A logo design is an investment in both your time and your money so when a design company offers a money back guarantee try to remember that they can not refund the amount of time you invest which is much more valuable than your money is.

PORTFOLIO

Some designers talk a good game but in the end a design agency can only be determined by the quality of their portfolio, if the work in their design portfolio does not feature real world samples chances are they will not be able to produce a premium logo design.

VISION

A logo’s goal is to be understood and be unforgettable, and it’s purpose is to mirror your unique vision for your business. If a designer isn’t focused on fulfilling your vision, the thing they are really focused on is how fast they can get paid.

East Florence LOGO DESIGN

For over 2 decades ImageCo has been helping start ups and entrepreneurs grow notable brand identities. We’ve undertaken brand identity design work for farmers, educational institutions, heart surgeons, wedding singers, restaurants, retail stores, and just about every other kind of business concern you can envision. What makes us different compared to traditional designers is that our background is rooted in the electrical sign industry so we approach every design as if it will be used as an electric sign. As a result of our sign first strategy our identity designs can, and have been utilized in everything from garment labels to billboards. Our sign first method insures that our logos are equally reliable whether they are used in television commercials or website applications, they are consistently recognizable, understood, and remembered irrespective of scale or function.

American Made ★ Design

The one difference that truly sets ImageCo apart from many of the design agencies that you might possibly have come across online, companies like Thumbtack, Design Hill, Upwork, or Crowdspring is that each and every project we are brought on board to do, we do ourselves. No matter the type of project we undertake, business logo, website design, trade show booth, or electric sign, we do not, and never will job out our client’s work to contractors located outside the US. Whenever you call us at 1-855-IMAGECO the person that picks up the telephone is ImageCo’s owner and designer, not a middleman that marks up the cost of your design project and determines the terms of how my customers and I do business.

CHARACTERISTICS OF A POWERFUL LOGO DESIGN

It’s likely that every new East Florence organization knows they probably need a logo, however few start-ups entirely recognize the pivotal role their company logo will play in their becoming successful, or exactly why one business logo functions more effectively than another. A logo has an immediate and sustaining impact on the prosperity of a business, pick the right one and it can make the door swing and phone ring, choose the incorrect one and it will be an obstacle and a hindrance for the life span of a company. The logos presented in the ImageCo portfolio help East Florence companies succeed, they are effective in any given circumstance and the reason they are so effective is because they all have these five features in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logos don’t need deliberation, they can be understood in just a glimpse.
  2. Scalability: from clothing labels to billboards a scalable logo will stay legible and equally emotive at virtually any size.
  3. Versatility: logos which function on any sort of device, in print, on product packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball-cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they feel personal, and they are suitable for the item or organization they represent.
  5. Relevance: a logo needs to be timeless and will feel equally relevant today, tomorrow, and forty years from now.

understanding branding

Brand – It’s a verb and a noun, it is an identifying mark and also the process of denoting something to make sure that it can be distinguished, its foundation comes from the brand burned onto animals. Nowadays a brand indicates pretty much anything with a motive, regardless of whether it be profit or government agencies, a brand is an intrinsic aspect of specifying the worth of something in the customer’s mind.

Branding – Is sort of like marketing and advertising’s sexy cousin, they are all from the same family, the difference being that advertising and marketing have to do with making a promise and branding’s objective is to deliver on that promise. Branding is also a calculated popularity competition directed at a specific audience, it’s goal is to develop a mental image that the audience can connect to.

Brand Image – An image planted and cultivated through advertising and marketing and also identity design. When somebody mentions the names Lamborghini or Mustang what we think of is their brand image, it’s an image that exists in our minds. That image isn’t an image of an automobile with 4 wheels that can carry us from point A to point B, the image we have (or at least I have) is of speed, elegance, of something dangerous and unique . That is brand image and brand image is what makes people want those products. Brand image is why people identify with most things, from Nike to Adidas Chevy or Ford, Democrats or Republicans … all driven by brand images that people can relate to.

Branding Companies – If you reflect on the history of the majority of branding agencies you’ll find that they are quite often rebranded marketing agencies. When somebody states they are in marketing lots of people will likely have an idea about the type of work they do anything that can be seen, felt or listened to are part of a brand identity.

Brand Identity Designers
– A brand identity designer is a graphic designer that focuses on a kind of visual design which helps shape the public image of a business, a product or an institution. Brand identity designers create logo designs, sign designs, packaging, as well as collateral products such as business cards, stationery, and pamphlets. Some identity designers also develop websites and also user interfaces. The crucial role of a brand identity designer is to establish the visual cues and a psychological tone with the objective of influencing actions, end results and also assumptions.

select SIGNS & LOGOS

Retro logo style of a bike developed for a East Florence coffee cafe and also a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This budding coffee roaster and bistro were launching in an old section of town and wanted to cast an old-fashioned vibe without coming across as monotonous or low energy. I fulfilled both jobs by designing a logo concept that incorporates a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is antiquated, higher energy, and is a enduring business image.

medical logo layout with a microscopic lense slide and also bacteria designed for East Florence clinical clinic.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the science that analyzes the causes and consequences of diseases, mainly the field of healthcare that works with the laboratory assessment of samples of body cellular material for diagnostic or forensic purposes.

The Mid-Valley Pathology logo design I came up with is the sole instance I recollect where I was able to incorporate a bacteria-laden microscope slide into a business logo design.

Usually I try not to be overly literal with a design and to a point, this specific design approaches the company it serves very literally, however it does it in a way that incorporates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as a description of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancer to the brand that makes it more interesting, more attention grabbing and much more meaningful.

logo layout with a jumping environment-friendly frog created for a family members fun facility in East Florence.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a very fun project to work on, probably because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s additionally a project that is way out of the usual of the types of projects which come my way, I’ve produced dozens of logo designs for surgeons, dental experts, and legal professionals but Cool Springz is without question the only trampoline park which I have ever gotten the opportunity to work on.

Given that the title of the company has the word springz in its name the obvious choice would have been to include a couple of springs into the concept but Cool Springz is a fun location to go and spring doesn’t really reflect an atmosphere of fun does it. My thought process on this project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, ultimately I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the name itself to provide the logo a more enthusiastic high energy feeling.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my concept and named the frog Jax and integrated him in to everything they utilized for advertising. I also believe this is the only time that a logo I created was turned into a mascot when they had an employee costume fabricated to look exactly like my frog design.

photography logo including a flock of birds, a mountain, a route, a stream, and also a tree - designed for East Florence traveling photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo project I took on for a travel photographer, which is a rather specialized field of photography and I believe it is a niche field because travel photographers don’t capture locations or things but rather reveal emotional journeys through the images they record. The thought behind this logo composition was to make use of negative space to project more than what was visible upon first glance, which I think is representative of the majority of professional photographers in that they often tell entire stories using their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a 1000 words but I think that some photographs convey significantly more than that because their photos often have an emotional resonance which can’t be communicated with just words. I tried to do something the same to this logo design by making use of the positive space in the design to say one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was conveyed through the first impression. I think, in looking back, that my goal was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  East Florence logo design but also to illustrate the depth in her work and in the way that she views the world through the lens of her camera.

East Florence logo design with a seagull used for the letter A. Designed for a cordless retail service.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The lion’s share of custom logo design projects that I take on I really savor and the Coastal Wireless assignment was one that I really felt good about, but the client didn’t quite share my excitement for it. I felt really good about the concept of using the seagull silhouette as a stroke in the letter A however my customer, while he liked the concept, really did not care for my choice of birds. This particular man genuinely despised seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, thankfully the rest of his family members didn’t share his scorn for this specific breed of sea bird.

When I turn a concept over to a client I urge them to share it with friends and colleagues and family as well as with individuals that they don’t even know so as to get neutral assessments on the merit of a design concept. Fortunately, he shared it with his family members and they loved the concept and were able to reason with him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to include every other seabird he could think of … in the end I was able to talk him out of his choice of a pelican and he proceeded with the original concept.

Business logos are a weird animal in the design world given that the people that are inclined to hire a professional to create their logo comprehend how vital a logo design is for their organization so they are way more invested in the result. Every logo design project possesses it’s portion of obstacles, however the most significant obstacle is identifying that sweet spot in a design that works really well at the task it’s needed to do in branding a company and also providing the customer the identity they see for themselves.

a red panda logo style with bamboo in the background, style for East Florence book author

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a thin piece of real estate to work with, yet it really is the most critical part of a printed book considering that it is usually the primary thing a person sees in the book store. For a publishing company, it’s the best opportunity that they will ever have to publicize their label and get their logo design in front of the individuals that purchase actual books.

This three color design is vibrant, colorful and eye-catching and it leaves plenty of territory for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo design developed for an airline in Los Angeles, the logo design has 2 letter A's with benches changed to indicate they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines arrive and depart yet it looks like that in many instances one of the things consumers often tend to recall the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a small fledgling commuter/shuttle air service based in LA and while I’m not certain it actually “took off” their business logo didn’t slow them. The bookend A’s in their name lent itself well to conferring a spirit of flight and it was undoubtedly a winner.

East Florence logo style made use of for advertising and a tag design for Vintage Situation features an old-fashioned font style.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case focused in new cases for musical instruments, which seemed to be older cases. For this brand concept I strove to come up with a logo that offered a fluid retro feel to it and could be utilized for anything from a web page to a label on brand new cases that looked like they were from a different generation.

Logo design developed for an orthodontist in East Florence, style consist of an arc with lines converging with it to indicate metal braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental care logos can be one of the most challenging logo jobs due to the fact that it seems that almost every dental professional involves a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dental logo designs are one of the very most cliche ridden fields when it comes to company advertising, if dining establishments approached their advertising in the very same way dental practices do every one of their company logos would definitely be a picture trying to explain anything they served, McDonalds would most likely have a picture of a potato and a cow.

I understand the thinking behind incorporating an illustration of something mouth associated to a dentist’s logo design nevertheless it has to be done subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dental professionals logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental industry.

I actually love doing dental logos because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies the field of dentistry or a specific field of the field of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the stereotypical approach that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics delivered such an opportunity and eventually I created a design that does not have a single smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t overt, they are still implied in the concept. When I turned this design over to the client the only smile that was obvious was the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo created for a household nonprofit, the logo includes 4 characters surprised in elevation to stand for a family with in the design.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation contacted ImageCo to help them come up with a brand identity design that would be illustrative of the devotion that William McNally had for the people residing in his city. Many logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain images of a happy family, a cliche heavy technique to any logo design is to be overly literal about what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve found that the best concepts are the ones that are downplayed and never hit the viewer on the head with what the business or organization wants to convey.

The McNally Foundation’s name offered a unique opportunity to do a logo that conveyed that they were about families without being overtly tacky about it. The intention of a logo is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer tries to use the logo design to summarize how people should think or feel they don’t understand the goal of a logo. If people have to ponder a logo to understand what it means, it has been in vain, a logo needs to be immediately understood and a logo design that explains itself will never have the likelihood to be understood.

Logo design developed for a East Florence hair design workshop including a manuscript font a hummingbird as well as an implied orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios required a logo that communicated a spirit of simplicity and elegance for their new hair salon. I created a concept that did not go the obvious direction of creating simply a stylized orchid but rather crafted a logo that implied a flower in the pattern of a swirl integrated into the letter O in the title and by putting emphasis on the concept with the figure of a hummingbird floating above the image itself. The obvious path in designing a logo design is more often than not the incorrect path and in this case, the design ended up not being about the flower but instead put the main focus on the perception that they really wanted to forecast to their customers.

Arabian steed logo style produced for a steed cattle ranch that specializes in reproducing Arabian program equines.

Dazzo Arabians | Logo Design

ImageCo developed an original business logo concept tailored to illustrate the unique physical traits of the Arabian breed of horses. With an identifiable head shape and higher tail carriage, the Arabian is one of the very most easily recognizable equine lineages in the whole world.

Las Cafe, A East Florence Coffee shop logo style a little restaurant, layout consists of a modified manuscript font style which hovers above a group of ornate lines and also dots.

Las Cafe | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

Las Cafe logo layout a tiny restaurant, layout contains a modified manuscript font style which hovers over a group of luxuriant lines and also dots.

Logo layout for a software application developer the design functions and also iconic East Florence element of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the key part of an operating system (OS). Generally, the kernel is responsible for memory administration, process and task control, and drive managing. The kernel connects the system hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that performs as a connection in between the software program and computer hardware.

The logo design I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is situated a couple of miles from the business offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to identify anything to anyone regarding to what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. However, it intimated something to the owner of the company and in many cases the meaning behind a business logo is just as important as how it serves the business it stands for.

Evolve logo style developed for a East Florenceinterior developer, layout feature a series of red circles that intersect as well as replace the letter O in the center of the logo layout.

Evolv Interior Design | Logo Design | Branding

Evolv Design is a East Florence interior design company and this logo design is representational of the work that an interior designer does in. An interior designer is someone who arranges, explores, coordinates, and manages such ventures. Interior design is a multifaceted profession that consists of conceptual development, area planning, site examinations, programming, investigation, corresponding with the stakeholders of a project, building and construction management, and implementation of the design.

logo design done for Advanced Leadership Solutions in East Florence, the characters for letter V as well as A in middle of words advanced have actually been modified to connect directly into the words below.

Advanced Leadership Solutions | Logo Design | Website Design

This particular East Florence logo design project was carried out for a management guide that assists business professionals to become more efficient at supervising people, expectations, and profitability.

A East Florence business logo layout including a fisherman in the middle of the name casting a fly in the direction of the viewer.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brand names like Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in over 7 billion a year retailing goods and equipment to outdoor sporting fans the founders of On the Fly knew the market place was primed for an outdoor sporting store that operates as a consignment company. Whether you are into boating, angling or rock climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly presents a place for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all sorts of passions, a spot to market their previously owned products to other sports enthusiasts.

I created their East Florence logo design along with an image that garners the attention of traffic and sends an image that wakens the enthusiasm of the outdoors. With traffic that averages 45 miles per hour I knew it would take more than the average logo/sign to get commuters to take notice, hence the graphic of a fly fisherman in his natural and tranquil habitat.

Logo style MQ farms, this East Florence company logo layout has actually an area integrated into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms emblem design wasn’t actually produced for an East Florence area farm it was really designed for an investments broker, and this creative logo was one of multiple that fell under the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The goal was actually to produce a graphic that projected esteem, success, and prosperity.

East Florence Logo design for a not-for-profit, Turning Factor Solutions - the logo layout feature for outwardly encountering arrow as well as the arrowheads suggest that it is a ruby shape.

Turning Point Foundation | Logo Design

The Turning Point Foundation was entirely open to what type of logo design that they wanted, that can be a good thing or a bad thing. Good in that it grants a designer the freedom to delve into any idea that comes to mind, bad in that it’s difficult to hit a bullseye in the absence of recognizing where the target is. Thankfully, in this case, I struck a bullseye with the very first go.

Logo created for the use of an indication for the restaurant (Brewgrrs), it is an elaborate script font that is similar to a renowned East Florence sporting activities team logo design.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I have crafted loads of restaurant logos and business signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments, and eateries all over the USA, from cupcake bake shops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I think Brewgrrs was my favorite. Brewgrrs was a neat undertaking where I worked directly with the proprietor to create a business logo that worked extremely well and did a great job to brand them, it functioned on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the neon signage that hung above their doors, and was highly visible and very legible from over a block away.
