Gadsden Logo Design

Every new Gadsden company understands that they are in need of a logo, however few new business owners thoroughly understand the pivotal role their logo design can make in their success, or the reason that one logo design works far better than another. A business logo has an instant and lasting effect on the success of a company, choose the correct one and it will make the door swing and cash register ring, go with the wrong one and it will be a barrier and a hindrance for the longevity of a company. The logos included in the ImageCo portfolio help Gadsden companies prosper, they are effective in any given scenario and the reason they are so effective is because they all have these 5 features in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logo designs don’t demand scrutiny, they can be understood in merely a glimpse.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to billboards a scalable business logo will stay legible and just as emotive at virtually any scale.
  3. Versatility: logos that work on any device, in print, on packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are personal, and they are suitable for the company they stand for.
  5. Relevance: a logo must be enduring and should feel relevant today, tomorrow, and forty years from now.

Retro logo layout of a bike produced for a Gadsden coffee cafe and a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This startup coffee roaster and coffee bar were actually launching in an old section of the city and wanted to cast a retro feel without appearing as uninteresting or low energy. I fulfilled the two jobs via creating a business logo concept that incorporates a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is old-fashioned, high energy, and is a enduring business image.

medical logo style with a microscope slide and also germs designed for Gadsden clinical facility.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the scientific discipline which investigates the triggers and consequences of diseases, especially the branch of healthcare that deals with the laboratory assessment of samplings of human body cellular material for diagnostic or forensic reasons.

The Mid-Valley Pathology logo design I came up with is the sole instance I recall in which I was in a position to incorporate a bacteria-laden microscope slide right into a business logo design.

Typically I try not to be excessively literal with a concept and to a degree, this specific design approaches the company it serves very literally, but it does it in a fashion that integrates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an illustration of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancer to the brand that makes it more captivating, more focus grabbing and a lot more memorable.

logo layout with a jumping environment-friendly frog developed for a family members fun facility in Gadsden.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a really cool project to work on, probably because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the norm of the kinds of projects which come my way, I’ve done dozens of logo designs for surgeons, dental professionals, and lawyers but Cool Springz is without question the only trampoline park that I have ever gotten the opportunity to work on.

Given that the title of the company features the word springz in its name the clear choice would have been to integrate a handful of springs into the design but Cool Springz is a fun destination to go and spring doesn’t actually reflect an environment of fun does it. My thought process on this logo project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, eventually I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the name itself to give the logo a better enthusiastic high energy impression.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my design and named the frog Jax and featured him in to everything they utilized for promotion and marketing. I also think this is the only time that a logo I came up with was made into a mascot when they had a staff member costume fashioned to look just like my frog design.

digital photography logo design featuring a flock of birds, a hill, a trail, a stream, and also a tree - developed for Gadsden travel digital photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a custom logo design job I took on for a travel photographer, which is a rather niche field of photography and I believe it is a niche speciality due to the fact that travel photographers don’t capture locations or things but instead communicate emotional experiences by means of the pictures they capture. The idea behind this logo design was to make use of negative space to communicate more than what was visible upon first glance, which I think is representative of almost all professional photographers in that they oftentimes convey entire stories through their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a thousand words but I think that some photographs convey considerably more than that because their photos frequently have an emotional fullness which can’t be conveyed with just words. I made an effort to do something the same to this logo design by utilizing the positive space in the design to suggest one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was communicated through the first impression. I think, in hindsight, that my objective was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Gadsden logo design but also to illustrate the depth of her work and in the way that she perceives the world through the lens of her camera.

Gadsden logo design with a seagull utilized for the letter A. Designed for a cordless retail organisation.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The majority of custom logo design jobs that I take on I honestly enjoy and the Coastal Wireless design was one that I certainly felt good about, however the client didn’t quite share my excitement for it. I felt really good about the concept of using the seagull silhouette as a stroke in the letter A but my client, even though he loved the concept, really did not care for my choice of birds. This particular man genuinely loathed seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, luckily the rest of his friends and family did not share his contempt for this specific kind of sea bird.

When I turn a design over to a customer I urge all of them to share it with colleagues and family members as well as with other people that they don’t actually know so as to get neutral point of views on the merit of a design. Fortunately, he shared it with his family and they loved the concept and were able to persuade him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to include every other seabird he could think of … eventually I was able to talk him out of his preference of a pelican and he proceeded with the original concept.

Logos are a strange creature in the design world given that the people that have a tendency to hire a professional to design their business logo understand how important a logo design is for their business so they are way more invested in the outcome. Every logo design project has it’s share of obstacles, but the biggest obstacle is finding that sweet spot in a design that works really well at the task it’s needed to do in branding a business and also giving the client the image they see for themselves.

a red panda logo design with bamboo behind-the-scenes, design for Gadsden publication publisher

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a narrow segment of real estate to work with, nevertheless it really is the most critical part of a printed book since it is often the initial thing a person views in the book shop. Concerning a publishing company, it’s the opportunity they will ever have to advertise their brand and get their logo design in front of the individuals that purchase actual books.

This 3 color design is vivid, colorful and eye-catching and it leaves plenty of territory for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo developed for an airline company in Los Angeles, the logo design has 2 letter A's with benches customized to imply they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines arrive and go but it looks like that in many occurrences 1 of the traits folks tend to recollect the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a modest fledgling commuter/shuttle airline company situated in LA and while I’m not sure it really “took off” their custom logo didn’t ground them. The bookend A’s in their brand lent itself well to imparting a good sense of air travel and it was certainly a winner.

Gadsden logo design utilized for advertising and marketing and a tag style for Vintage Case includes an archaic typeface style.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in brand-new cases for musical instruments, which looked to be older cases. For this brand design I tried to come up with a logo that had a fluid vintage feel to it and could be utilized for everything from a web site to a label on brand new cases that looked like they were from a different generation.

Logo produced for an orthodontist in Gadsden, layout consist of an arc with lines converging with it to indicate metal dental braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental business logos can be one of the most difficult logo projects because it seems that virtually every dental professional includes a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dental logos are one of the most cliche ridden careers when it comes to business marketing, if restaurants approached their branding in the same way dental practitioners do every one of their company logos would definitely be a picture trying to explain anything they served, McDonalds would likely contain an image of a potato and a cow.

I recognize the thinking behind incorporating an illustration of something mouth associated to a dentist’s logo but it has to be done subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dental professionals logo that litter the branding landscape of the dentistry profession.

I really love doing dentistry logos because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies dentistry or a specific field of dental treatment like orthodontics without resorting to the stereotypical solution that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics provided such an opportunity and inevitably I created a concept that does not have a solitary smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t obvious, they are still suggested in the design. When I turned this design over to the customer the only smile that was apparent was the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo design created for a family members not-for-profit, the logo design features 4 personalities staggered in elevation to stand for a family unit with in the layout.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation asked ImageCo to help them come up with a logo design that would be representative of the love that William McNally had for the residents in his community. Most logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain depictions of a happy family, a cliche heavy strategy to any logo design is to be far too literal pertaining to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve discovered that the best concepts are the ones that are understated and never hit the viewer on the head with what the company or institution hopes to relate.

The McNally Foundation’s name provided a distinct opportunity to do a custom logo design that communicated that they were about families without being openly corny about it. The intention of a logo design is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer attempts to use the logo to summarize specifically how individuals ought to think or feel they don’t understand the purpose of a logo. If you have to think about a logo to understand what it means, it has fallen short, a logo needs to be instantly understood and a logo that explains itself will never have the likelihood to be comprehended.

Logo design created for a hair layout studio featuring a script font a hummingbird as well as an indicated orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios required a logo that carried a spirit of calmness and connection for their new hair studio. I created a design that didn’t go the obvious course of designing just a stylized orchid but alternatively delivered a logo that implied a flower in the pattern of a swirl incorporated into the letter O in the name and by putting emphasis on the logo design along with the silhouette of a hummingbird hovering over the image itself. The obvious path in creating a logo is oftentimes the wrong direction and in this case, the design ended up not being about the flower but instead placed the main focus on the perception that they wanted to forecast to their clients.

Logo layout for a software application developer the layout features and legendary element of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the central part of an operating system (OS). Generally, the kernel is responsible for memory administration, process and task control, and disk operations. The kernel unites the computer hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that serves as a connection in between the software and computer hardware.

The logo design I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is situated a few miles from the business offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to spell out anything to anyone regarding what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. But it intimated something to the owner of the company and in quite a few cases the substance behind a logo design is just as important as how it brands the enterprise it represents.

A logo design including an angler in the middle of the name casting a fly towards the viewer.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brands such as Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in over 7 billion a year offering goods and equipment to outdoor sporting enthusiasts the founders of On the Fly realized the market place was primed for an outdoor sporting merchant that operates as a consignment business. Whether you are into boating, angling or mountain climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly presents a place for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all kinds of interests, a spot to sell their used equipment to other sports enthusiasts. I created their Gadsden business logo dsign along with an illustration that captures the attention of traffic and projects an image that invokes the passion of the outdoors. With visitor traffic that averages 45 mph I realized it would take more than the typical logo/sign to get commuters to take notice, hence the illustration of a fly fisherman in his natural and tranquil habitat.
Logo design MQ ranches, this logo style has actually an area incorporated into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms company logo idea wasn’t actually composed for an Gadsden area farm it was in reality devised for an investments broker, and this company logo was one of a handful of which fell under the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The objective was really to develop a graphic that projected self-assurance, financial success, and luxury.
Logo design made for the use of an indication for the restaurant (Brewgrrs), it is an ornate manuscript typeface that is evocative a popular sporting activities team logo design.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I have crafted dozens of restaurant business logos and establishment signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the US, from cupcake pastry shops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I believe Brewgrrs was my absolute favorite. Brewgrrs was a cool undertaking in which I worked closely with the owner to develop a logo design which worked really well and did a great job to brand them, it functioned on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the lighted sign that hung above their doors, and was highly visible and very legible from over a block away.
