Mobile, Alabama Logo Design

Every new Mobile business knows they require a logo, but few new business owners entirely comprehend the pivotal role their logo can make in their becoming successful, or exactly why one logo design works better than another. A logo has an instant and long term influence on the growth of a business, pick the correct one and it will make the door swing and phone ring, go with the incorrect one and it can be an obstacle and an impediment for the longevity of a company.

The logos included in the ImageCo portfolio help Mobile, Alabama companies succeed, they are effective in any given scenario and the reason why they are so effective is that they all have these 5 features in common.

  1. Simplicity: simple logos don’t require contemplation, they can be grasped in just a glimpse.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to posters a scalable business logo will continue to be legible and equally emotive at every scale.
  3. Versatility: logos that work on any type of device, in print, on packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are personal, and they are suitable for the enterprise they represent.
  5. Relevance: a company logo should be enduring and should feel relevant today, tomorrow, and twenty five years from today.

Logo PORTFOLIO Volume 1

Retro logo style of a bicycle produced for a Mobile, Alabama coffee cafe and also a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This startup coffee roaster and cafe were actually launching in an old section of the town and wished to visualize a nostalgic vibe without coming across as uninteresting or low energy. I accomplished both of these tasks via creating a logo concept that incorporates a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is antiquated, high energy, and is a enduring business image.

clinical logo layout with a microscope slide and bacteria created for Mobile, Alabama medical clinic.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the science that studies the root causes and consequences of diseases, mainly the field of medicine which works with the laboratory assessment of samplings of human body tissue for diagnostic or forensic objectives.

The Mid-Valley Pathology logo design I came up with is the only instance I call to mind in which I was able to incorporate a bacteria-laden microscope slide within a business logo design.

Usually I try not to be excessively literal with a concept and to a degree, this design approaches the company it represents fairly literally, but it does it in a way that integrates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as a description of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancement to the brand that helps make it more interesting, more attention grabbing and even more meaningful.

logo design with a leaping environment-friendly frog developed for a household fun facility in Mobile, Alabama.

Cool Springs | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a really fun project to work on, most likely because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s additionally a project that is way out of the usual of the types of jobs that come my way, I’ve produced dozens of logo designs for doctors, dental experts, and legal professionals but Cool Springz is without question the one and only trampoline park which I have ever had the privilege to work on.

Given that the full name of the business has the word springz in its name the clear choice would have been to include a handful of springs into the design but Cool Springz is a fun destination to go and spring does not really reflect an environment of fun does it. My thought process on this logo design project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, ultimately I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the name itself to give the logo a more dynamic high energy feel.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my concept and named the frog Jax and integrated him in to everything they used for marketing. I also believe this is the only time that a logo I designed was made into a mascot when they had a staff member costume fashioned to look exactly like my frog design.

digital photography logo including a flock of birds, a mountain, a route, a stream, and a tree - developed for Mobile, Alabama travel professional photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo design project I took on for a travel photographer, which is a fairly specialized field of photography and I think it is a niche sector because travel photographers don’t capture places or things but rather communicate emotional journeys by means of the images they record. The idea behind this logo composition was to make use of negative space to convey more than what was visible upon first glance, which I think is representative of the majority of professional photographers in that they oftentimes share entire stories through their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a 1000 words but I think that some photographs convey much more than that because their photos frequently have an emotional resonance which can’t be conveyed with mere words. I made an effort to do something the same to this logo by utilizing the positive space in the design to voice one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was conveyed through the first impression. I think, in hindsight, that my objective was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Mobile logo design but also to show the depth to her work and in the way that she perceives the world through the lens of her camera.

Mobile logo design with a seagull made use of for the letter A. Designed for a wireless retail company.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The majority of business logo design projects that I take on I seriously enjoy and the Coastal Wireless assignment was one that I certainly felt good about, however the customer didn’t quite share my excitement for it. I felt really good about the idea of using the seagull shape as a stroke in the letter A but my customer, while he loved the concept, didn’t care for my choice of birds. This guy genuinely loathed seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, luckily the rest of his family members didn’t share his hatred for this particular variety of sea bird.

When I turn a concept over to a client I encourage all of them to discuss it with friends and colleagues and family as well as with people that they don’t actually know so as to get impartial judgements on the worthiness of a concept. Fortunately, he shared it with his family members and they really loved the design and were able to persuade him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to incorporate every other seabird he could think of … eventually I was able to talk him out of his alternative of a pelican and he went with the original concept.

Logo designs are a strange animal in the design world given that the people that have a tendency to hire an expert to create their logo recognize how crucial a logo design is for their company so they are way more vested in the final result. Every logo job has it’s share of difficulties, however the largest obstacle is identifying that sweet spot in a design that works really well at the job it’s needed to do in branding a company and also providing the client the identity they see for themselves.

a red panda logo style with bamboo behind-the-scenes, style for Mobile, Alabama publication publisher

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a narrow segment of real estate to work with, but it really is the most vital part of a published book given that it is usually the very first thing a person sees in the book shop. With regard to a publishing company, it’s the best opportunity they will likely ever have to promote their brand and get their logo design in front of the people that purchase actual books.

This three color design is vivid, colorful and eye-catching and it leaves plenty of space for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo design made for an airline in Los Angeles, the logo has 2 letter A's with benches modified to indicate they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines come and go yet it seems that in many instances 1 of the aspects people usually tend to remember the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a smaller startup commuter/shuttle airline company based in LA and although I’m not certain it actually “took off” their logo design didn’t ground them. The bookend A’s in their title lent itself well to confering a feeling of airline flight and it was certainly a victory.

Mobile logo design used for advertising and a tag style for Vintage Case features an archaic font style design.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in brand new cases for music instruments, that appeared to be older cases. For this business logo design I tried to come up with a logo that had a fluid retro feel to it and could easily be utilized for every thing from a website to a label on brand new cases that looked like they were from another generation.

Logo developed for an orthodontist in Mobile, Alabama, layout include an arc with lines intersecting via it to imply steel braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental care logo designs can be one of the most challenging and difficult logo jobs because it appears that virtually every dental professional incorporates a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dentistry logos are one of the very most cliche ridden professions when it comes to small business advertising, if restaurants approached their advertising in the exact same way dentists do every one of their logo designs would definitely be a picture explaining anything they served, McDonalds would likely include an image of a potato and a cow.

I understand the thinking behind incorporating an image of something mouth related to a dentist’s logo design nevertheless it has to be done subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dental professionals logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental care profession.

I actually really love doing dental logo designs because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies dentistry or a specific field of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the clichéd solution that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics offered such an opportunity and ultimately I created a layout that does not have a solitary smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t overt, they are still implied in the concept. When I turned this design over to the client the only smile that was evident was actually the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo design developed for a family members nonprofit, the logo design includes 4 personalities surprised in elevation to stand for a family unit with in the style.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation reached out to ImageCo to help them come up with a logo design that would be depictive of the love that William McNally had for the folks in his city. Most logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain pictures of a happy family, a cliche heavy method to any logo design is to be far too literal about what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve discovered that the best concepts are the ones that are downplayed and don’t hit the viewer on the head with what the company or organization wishes to communicate.

The McNally Foundation’s name presented a distinct opportunity to do a logo which conveyed that they were about families without being openly corny about it. The objective of a logo is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer attempts to use the logo to explain how individuals ought to think or feel they don’t understand the objective of a logo. If you have to think about a logo design to understand what it means, it has failed, a logo needs to be instantly comprehended and a logo design that illustrates itself will never have the chance to be comprehended.

Logo style developed for a hair layout studio including a script font a hummingbird and also a suggested orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios wanted a business logo which conveyed a sense of serenity and class for their new hair salon. I came up with a concept that did not go the obvious course of creating merely a stylized orchid but alternatively crafted a business logo which suggested an orchid in the formation of a swirl integrated into the letter O in the title and by placing emphasis on the logo design using the figure of a hummingbird hovering above the image itself. The obvious path in creating a logo design is usually the incorrect path and in this case, the design ended up not being about the flower but instead placed the importance on the feeling that they really wanted to transmit to their clients.

Arabian steed logo style produced for a horse cattle ranch that focuses on breeding Arabian show horses.

Dazzo Arabians | Logo Design

ImageCo designed a distinct creative logo concept customized to exemplify the unique physical traits of the Arabian pedigree of horses. By having a distinctive head form and higher tail posture, the Arabian is one of the highly quite easily recognizable equine types in the entire world.

Las Cafe logo style a tiny restaurant, style contains a customized manuscript typeface which floats over a team of elaborate lines and also dots.

Las Cafe | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

Las Coffee shop logo layout a tiny restaurant, design contains a changed script font style which floats above a team of luxuriant lines as well as dots.

Logo design for a software application programmer the style attributes and iconic component of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the key component of an operating system (OS). Generally, the kernel is responsible for memory administration, process and task management, and disk operations. The kernel links the computer hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that functions as a bridge between the software and hardware.

The logo design I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is located a number of miles from the offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to identify anything to anyone regarding what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. But it represented something to the owner of the business and in quite a few cases the significance supporting a company logo is equally as important as how it serves the organization it stands for.

A logo style including an angler in the center of the name casting a fly in the direction of the visitor.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brand names such as Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in more than 7 billion a year offering goods and equipment to outdoor sporting lovers the founders of On the Fly knew the market place was ready for an outdoor sporting merchant that operates as a consignment company. Whether you are into boating, fishing or mountain climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly presents a destination for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all kinds of passions, a place to sell their previously owned equipment to other sports enthusiasts. I tailored their Mobile logo dsign using an image which garners the interest of vehicles and projects an image that invokes the passion of the outdoors. With traffic that averages 45 miles per hour I realized it would take more than the typical logo/sign to get travelers to take notice, hence the image of a fly fisherman in his natural and peaceful habitat.
Logo design MQ ranches, this logo design has a field integrated into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms logo design wasn’t really designed for an Mobile, Alabama area farm it was in reality devised for a commodities broker, and this particular logo was one of many which fell under the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The end goal was really to create a graphic that projected confidence, financial success, and affluence.

Mobile Logo design for a nonprofit, Transforming Point Solutions - the logo style function for outwardly dealing with arrowhead and the arrowheads imply that it is a diamond form.

Turning Point Foundation | Logo Design

The Turning Point Foundation was entirely open to what kind of logo design they desired, this can be a good thing or a bad thing. Good in that it gives a designer the opportunity to explore any idea that comes to mind, bad in that it’s challenging to hit a bullseye in the absence of recognizing where exactly the target is. Fortunately, in this particular instance, I hit a bullseye with the very first try.

Logo developed for using an indication for the dining establishment (Brewgrrs), it is an elaborate manuscript font style that is similar to a renowned sports group logo design.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I have created loads of restaurant business logos and establishment signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the USA, from cupcake bakeries to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I believe Brewgrrs was my favorite. Brewgrrs was a neat undertaking in which I worked closely with the business owner to produce a business logo that worked really well and did a great job to brand them, it worked on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the lighted sign that hung over their doors, and was highly visible and very easy to read from over a block away.
