Montgomery Logo Design

Every new Montgomery organization understands that they require a logo, but few new business owners entirely understand the crucial role their logo design can make in their financial success, or precisely why one logo design performs more effectively than another. A business logo has an instant and long-term effect on the financial success of a business, go with the right one and it will make the door swing and phone ring, choose the wrong one and it can be an obstacle and a hindrance for the life span of a business. The logos featured in the ImageCo portfolio help Montgomery companies prosper, they are effective in any given circumstance and the main reason they are so effective is because they all have these five traits in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logo designs do not demand deliberation, they can be comprehended in just a glimpse.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to posters a scalable logo will continue to be legible and equally emotive at virtually any scale.
  3. Versatility: logos that function on any type of device, in print, on packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are personal, and they are suitable for the enterprise they stand for.
  5. Relevance: a company logo should be timeless and will feel relevant today, tomorrow, and twenty five years from today.

Retro logo layout of a bicycle created for a Montgomery coffee cafe and also a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This budding coffee roaster and coffee bar were launching in an older part of the community and really wanted to visualize a nostalgic feel without appearing as monotonous or low energy. I achieved each of the tasks by means of designing a custom logo design that includes a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is antiquated, higher energy, and is a classic business image.

clinical logo style with a microscope slide and bacteria developed for Montgomery clinical clinic.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the science which studies the causes and outcomes of diseases, mainly the branch of healthcare which deals with the laboratory examination of samples of human body tissue for diagnostic or forensic purposes.

The Mid-Valley Pathology brand I came up with is really the sole instance I recall where I was in a position to integrate a bacteria-laden microscope slide right into a logo design.

Usually I try not to be overly literal with a design and to a degree, this specific design approaches the company it serves very literally, but it does it in a fashion that integrates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an illustration of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancement to the brand that helps make it more interesting, more attention grabbing and more meaningful.

logo style with a leaping environment-friendly frog developed for a household enjoyable facility in Montgomery.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a very fun project to work on, most likely because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the usual of the sorts of projects that come my way, I’ve done dozens of logo designs for health care providers, dentists, and attorneys but Cool Springz is without question the one and only trampoline park that I have ever had the privilege to work on.

Given that the name of the company features the word springz in its name the obvious choice would have been to incorporate a handful of springs into the concept but Cool Springz is a fun place to go and spring does not actually reflect an atmosphere of fun does it. My thought process on this logo design project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, inevitably I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the title itself to provide the logo a better enthusiastic high energy feeling.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my brainchild and named the frog Jax and featured him in to everything they utilized for marketing and advertising. I also believe this is the only time that a logo I came up with was transformed into a mascot when they had a staff member costume fashioned to look exactly like my frog design.

photography logo design featuring a flock of birds, a hill, a trail, a stream, and also a tree - developed for Montgomery traveling professional photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo design job I took on for a travel photographer, which is a fairly specialized field of photography and I think it is a niche area due to the fact that travel photographers don’t capture places or things but instead reveal emotional experiences through the photos they capture. The thought behind this logo composition was to utilize negative space to project more than what was visible upon first view, which I think is representative of the majority of good photographers in that they frequently tell entire stories through their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a 1000 words but I think that some photographs convey considerably more than that because their photos often have an emotional resonance which can’t be revealed with just words. I tried to do something very similar to this logo design by making use of the positive space in the design to suggest one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was conveyed through the first impression. I think, in hindsight, that my goal was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Montgomery logo but also to show the depth in her work and in the way that she sees the world through the lens of her camera.

Montgomery logo style with a seagull utilized for the letter A. Designed for a cordless retail service.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The bulk of custom logo design jobs that I take on I truly relish and the Coastal Wireless design was one that I really felt good about, however the client didn’t quite share my enthusiasm for it. I felt really good about the idea of using the seagull silhouette as a stroke in the letter A but my client, while he loved the concept, didn’t care for my choice of birds. This man seriously despised seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, thankfully the rest of his friends and family did not share his aversion for this specific breed of sea bird.

When I turn a design over to a customer I encourage them to discuss it with friends and family members as well as with individuals that they don’t actually know so as to get neutral viewpoints on the merit of a concept. Fortunately, he talked about it with his family members and they really liked the design and were able to reason with him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to insert every other seabird he could think of … eventually I was able to talk him out of his alternative of a pelican and he proceeded with the original design.

Logo designs are a strange creature in the design world given that the people that tend to hire an expert to create their logo recognize how crucial a logo design is for their company so they are way more vested in the outcome. Every logo design job possesses it’s allotment of challenges, but the greatest challenge is finding that sweet spot in a design that operates really well at the job it’s required to do in branding a business and also providing the client the image they see for themselves.

a red panda logo layout with bamboo behind-the-scenes, layout for Montgomery book publisher

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a cramped slice of real estate to work with, but it is the most essential part of a printed book since it is ordinarily the very first thing a person sees in the book store. For a publishing company, it’s the most ideal opportunity they will ever have to spotlight their brand and get their logo design in front of the people that purchase actual books.

This 3 color design is vibrant, colorful and eye-catching and it leaves plenty of room for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo design made for an airline company in Los Angeles, the logo design has 2 letter A's with the bars customized to imply they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines arrive and go however it looks like that in many instances one of the traits consumers usually tend to remember the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a young startup commuter/shuttle airline situated in LA and although I’m not certain it really “took off” their custom logo didn’t ground them. The bookend A’s in their name lent itself well to conferring a good sense of flight and it was certainly a success.

Montgomery logo design used for advertising as well as a tag style for Vintage Instance includes an old-fashioned font style layout.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in new cases for music instruments, that seemed to be antique cases. For this business logo design I strove to come up with a logo that provided a fluid vintage feel to it and could be utilized for every thing from a web page to an insignia on brand new cases that seemed like they were from a different era.

Logo design created for an orthodontist in Montgomery, design consist of an arc with lines intersecting via it to suggest steel braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dentistry business logos can be one of the most challenging and difficult logo design jobs because it appears that virtually every dental professional involves a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dentistry business logos are one of the very most cliche ridden careers when it comes to small business marketing, if dining establishments approached their branding in the very same way dental practices do every one of their logo designs would be a picture trying to explain anything they served, McDonalds would likely have a picture of a potato and a cow.

I recognize the thinking behind including an image of something mouth related to a dentist’s logo nevertheless it has to be done subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dental professionals logo that litter the branding landscape of the dentistry industry.

I actually love doing dentist business logos simply because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies dentistry or a particular field of dental treatment like orthodontics without resorting to the clichéd approach that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics provided such an opportunity and subsequently I created a design that doesn’t have a solitary smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t overt, they are still suggested in the design. When I turned this particular design over to the client the only smile that was obvious was actually the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo design created for a household nonprofit, the logo includes 4 personalities staggered in height to represent a family unit with in the design.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation contacted ImageCo to help them come up with a logo that would be representative of the devotion that William McNally had for the residents in his city. Most logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain portrayals of a happy family, a cliche heavy method to any logo design is to be overly literal with regards to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve found that the best concepts are the ones that are understated and don’t hit the viewer on the head with what the business or institution wishes to convey.

The McNally Foundation’s name offered a unique opportunity to do a logo that communicated that they were about families without being overtly cheesy about it. The goal of a logo is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer attempts to use the logo to illustrate exactly how people ought to think or feel they don’t understand the goal of a logo. If people have to ponder a logo design to understand what it means, it has failed, a logo needs to be immediately comprehended and a logo design that describes itself won’t have the opportunity to be understood.

Logo layout created for a hair design studio featuring a script font a hummingbird as well as an indicated orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios needed a logo which conveyed a sense of calmness and elegance for their new hair studio. I created a design which didn’t go the obvious direction of creating simply a stylized orchid but alternatively crafted a business logo that suggested an orchid in the formation of a swirl featured into the letter O in the name and by putting emphasis on the concept along with the silhouette of a hummingbird hovering above the logo design itself. The obvious path in creating a company logo is usually the incorrect path and in this case, the design ended up not being about the flower but instead put the attention on the feeling that they wanted to forecast to their customers.

Logo style for a software program developer the design attributes and famous element of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the principal component of an operating system (OS). Typically, the kernel is responsible for memory management, process and task control, and disk operations. The kernel links the system hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that serves as a connection in between the software program and hardware.

The business logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is situated a couple of miles from the business offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to describe anything to anyone with regards to what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. However it intimated something to the owner of the company and in quite a few cases the symbolism behind a logo design is just as important as how it serves the organization it represents.

A logo design featuring a fisherman in the center of the name casting a fly in the direction of the audience.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With companies such as Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in more than 7 billion a year selling supplies and equipment to outdoor sporting lovers the founders of On the Fly realized the market place was prepared for an outdoor sporting store that functions as a consignment business. Whether you are into boating, sportfishing or mountain climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly presents a destination for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all sorts of interests, a location to market their used products to other sports enthusiasts. I designed their Montgomery business logo dsign with a graphic that garners the attention of vehicles and sends an image that wakens the enthusiasm of the outdoors. With traffic that averages forty five miles per hour I knew it would take more than the typical logo/sign to get travelers to take notice, hence the graphic of a fly fisherman in his natural and tranquil habitat.
Logo design MQ ranches, this logo style has an area incorporated right into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms business logo idea wasn’t really composed for an Montgomery area farm it was actually developed for a commodities broker, and this particular trademark was one of many that fell beneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. Logo design made for the use of an indicator for the dining establishment (Brewgrrs), it is an ornate script font style that is evocative a famous sports team logo design.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I’ve created dozens of restaurant logo designs and business signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the US, from cupcake bakeries to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I think Brewgrrs was my favorite. Brewgrrs was a neat project in which I worked directly with the proprietor to create a business logo which worked extremely well and did a fantastic job to brand them, it worked on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the lighted sign that hung over their doors, and was highly visible and very easy to read from over a block away.
