Casas Adobes, Arizona Logo Design

Each and every new Casas Adobes business professional knows they are in need of a logo, but few entrepreneurs thoroughly understand the key role their logo design can make in their success, or the reason that one logo performs far better than another. A logo design has a critical and sustaining impact on the viability of a company, select the right one and it can make the door swing and phone ring, choose the incorrect one and it will be a barrier and an impediment for the life of a company.

The logos included in the ImageCo portfolio help Casas Adobes, Arizona companies succeed, they are effective in any given situation and the reason why they are so effective is because they all have these 5 features in common.

  1. Simplicity: simple logos don’t demand deliberation, they can be comprehended in just a glimpse.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to billboards a scalable logo design will continue to be legible and just as emotive at virtually any dimension.
  3. Versatility: logos which work on any type of device, in print, on packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball-cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are unique, and they are suitable for the company they represent.
  5. Relevance: a logo should be lasting and will feel as relevant today, tomorrow, and forty years from now.
Retro logo layout of a bicycle produced for a Casas Adobes, Arizona coffee cafe as well as a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This budding coffee roaster and coffee shop were actually opening in an old part of the town and really wanted to visualize a retro tone without coming across as monotonous or low energy. I fulfilled both tasks via designing a business logo concept that contains a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is antiquated, high energy, and is a ageless business image.

medical logo layout with a microscope slide and also germs designed for Casas Adobes, Arizona medical facility.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the science that analyzes the root causes and effects of diseases, mainly the branch of medicine that deals with the laboratory assessment of samplings of human body cellular material for diagnostic or forensic objectives.

The Mid-Valley Pathology logo I came up with is the only instance I recollect where I was able to incorporate a bacteria-laden microscope slide within a business logo design.

Generally I try not to be extremely literal with a concept and to a point, this specific design approaches the company it represents very literally, but it does it in a way that integrates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an illustration of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancer to the name that helps make it more captivating, more focus grabbing and a lot more memorable.

logo design with a jumping environment-friendly frog created for a household fun facility in Casas Adobes, Arizona.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a really fun project to work on, probably because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the usual of the sorts of projects which come my way, I’ve produced dozens of logo designs for surgeons, dentists, and legal professionals but Cool Springz is without question the one and only trampoline park that I have ever had the opportunity to work on.

Given that the title of the company features the word springz in its name the clear choice would have been to include a some springs into the design but Cool Springz is a fun location to go and spring doesn’t really reflect an environment of fun does it. My thought process on this project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, ultimately I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the name itself to provide the logo a more dynamic high energy atmosphere.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my design and named the frog Jax and incorporated him in to everything they used for marketing and advertising. I also think this is the only time that a logo I designed was turned into a mascot when they had an employee costume fashioned to look just like my frog design.

photography logo including a flock of birds, a mountain, a path, a stream, and also a tree - designed for Casas Adobes, Arizona travel professional photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo job I took on for a travel photographer, which is a pretty niche field of photography and I think it is a niche speciality because travel photographers tend not to shoot places or things but rather project emotional journeys through the pictures they record. The thought behind this logo composition was to make use of negative space to convey more than what was visible upon first view, which I think is representative of most good photographers in that they frequently convey whole stories using their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a thousand words but I think that some photographs convey a great deal more than that because their photos frequently have an emotional resonance which can’t be conveyed with mere words. I made an effort to do something much the same to this logo by employing the positive space in the design to say one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was communicated through the first impression. I think, in hindsight, that my objective was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Casas Adobes logo but also to illustrate the depth in her work and in the way that she sees the world through the lens of her camera.

Casas Adobes logo design with a seagull made use of for the letter A. Designed for a wireless retail organisation.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The bulk of custom logo design jobs that I take on I seriously take pleasure in and the Coastal Wireless assignment was one that I really felt good about, however the customer didn’t quite share my enthusiasm for it. I felt really good about the idea of using the seagull form as a stroke in the character A however my customer, even though he loved the concept, really did not care for my choice of birds. This guy truly disliked seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, fortunately the rest of his friends and family did not share his contempt for this specific variety of sea bird.

When I turn a design over to a customer I urge them to discuss it with friends and colleagues and family as well as with people that they don’t even know so as to get honest point of views on the value of a concept. Fortunately, he shared it with his whole family and they adored the design and were able to reason with him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to insert every other seabird he could think of … in the end I was able to talk him out of his preference of a pelican and he went with the original design.

Custom logo designs are a strange creature in the design world because the people that have a tendency to hire a professional to create their logo design understand how essential a logo design is for their company so they are way more invested in the result. Every logo design job has it’s portion of hurdles, however the greatest challenge is identifying that sweet spot in a design that operates really well at the job it’s needed to do in branding a business and also providing the customer the identity they see for themselves.

a red panda logo style with bamboo in the background, style for Casas Adobes, Arizona publication author

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a thin segment of real estate to work with, but it is the most crucial part of a published book given that it is often the initial thing a person views in the book store. For a publisher, it’s the opportunity that they will ever get to publicize their brand and get their logo design in front of the individuals that purchase actual books.

This three color design is vibrant, picturesque and eye-catching and it gives plenty of territory for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo made for an airline company in Los Angeles, the logo has 2 letter A's with benches modified to suggest they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines come and go yet it seems that in many occurrences 1 of the aspects folks usually tend to recollect the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a modest new venture commuter/shuttle airline company situated in LA and although I’m not sure it actually “took off” their business logo didn’t ground them. The bookend A’s in their title lent itself well to affording a sense of airline flight and it was surely a victory.

Casas Adobes logo style made use of for advertising and also a tag layout for Vintage Case includes an archaic font layout.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case focused in brand-new cases for musical instruments, that appeared to be older cases. For this brand concept I tried to come up with a logo that provided a fluid old-fashioned feel to it and could be used for everything from a web site to a label on brand new cases that appeared like they were from another generation.

Logo developed for an orthodontist in Casas Adobes, Arizona, design include an arc with lines intersecting via it to indicate metal braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental logo designs can easily be one of the most challenging and difficult logo projects because it seems that every single dental professional includes a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dental logo designs are one of the most cliche ridden professions when it comes to company marketing, if dining establishments approached their branding in the exact same way dental practitioners do every one of their logo designs would definitely be a picture trying to explain something they served, McDonalds would probably have a picture of a potato and a cow.

I recognize the thinking behind including a likeness of something mouth related to a dentist’s company logo but it has to be done subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dental professionals logo that litter the branding landscape of the dentistry industry.

I actually love doing dental logos because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies dentistry or a certain area of the field of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the clichéd solution that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics delivered such an opportunity and inevitably I created a concept that does not have a solitary smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t overt, they are still suggested in the concept. When I turned this particular design over to the customer the only smile that was evident was the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo design created for a household nonprofit, the logo design includes 4 personalities startled in elevation to represent a family with in the style.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation contacted ImageCo to help them come up with a custom logo design that would be illustrative of the love that William McNally had for the families in his city. Most logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain images of a happy family, a cliche heavy strategy to any logo design is to be very literal with regards to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve discovered that the best designs are the ones that are downplayed and don’t hit the viewer on the head with what the company or institution hopes to convey.

The McNally Foundation’s name offered a unique opportunity to do a logo design which conveyed that they were about families without being overtly cheesy about it. The goal of a logo design is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer makes an effort to use the logo to illustrate specifically how individuals should think or feel they don’t understand the objective of a logo. If viewers have to ponder a logo design to understand what it means, it has been in vain, a logo needs to be immediately comprehended and a logo design that explains itself won’t have the likelihood to be comprehended.

Logo style developed for a hair design workshop featuring a manuscript font a hummingbird and an indicated orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios required a company logo that conveyed a feeling of tranquility and elegance for their new hair studio. I created a concept that did not go the obvious path of creating merely a stylized orchid but alternatively crafted a logo design which suggested a flower in the formation of a swirl integrated into the letter O in the title and by putting emphasis on the logo design along with the silhouette of a hummingbird hovering above the logo design itself. The obvious path in designing a company logo is more often than not the wrong direction and in this case, the design ended up not being about the orchid but instead placed the main focus on the feeling that they really wanted to project to their clients.

Logo layout for a software application designer the design functions as well as iconic element of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the central part of an operating system (OS). Typically, the kernel is responsible for memory management, process and task management, and hard drive management. The kernel connects the computer hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that serves as a bridge in between the software and computer hardware.

The business logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is situated a number of miles from the business offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to describe anything to anyone about what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. But it meant something to the owner of the business and in quite a few cases the significance behind a logo is equally as important as how it brands the enterprise it stands for.

A logo design featuring a fisherman in the center of the name casting a fly in the direction of the customer.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With companies such as Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in over 7 billion a year retailing supplies and equipment to outdoor sporting lovers the owners of On the Fly knew the market place was primed for an outdoor sporting retailer that operates as a consignment company. Whether you are into boating, fishing or rock climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly presents a place for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all types of passions, a spot to sell off their pre-owned goods to other sports enthusiasts. I tailored their Casas Adobes business logo dsign using an illustration that garners the attention of vehicles and projects an image that invokes the passion of the outdoors. With visitor traffic that averages 45 mph I knew it would take more than the typical logo/sign to get travelers to take notice, hence the image of a fly fisherman in his natural and tranquil habitat.
Logo layout MQ ranches, this logo style has actually a field incorporated right into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms emblem idea wasn’t really developed for an Casas Adobes, Arizona regional farm it was actually created for a products broker, and this company logo was one of a handful of that fell under the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The goal was actually to create a graphic that projected trust, success, and affluence.

Casas Adobes Logo design for a nonprofit, Turning Point Solutions - the logo design function for outwardly dealing with arrow and also the arrowheads indicate that it is a ruby form.

Turning Point Foundation | Logo Design

The Turning Point Foundation was entirely open to what kind of logo design they preferred, this can be a good thing or a bad thing. Good in that it gives a designer the flexibility to investigate any idea that comes to mind, bad in that it’s tricky to hit a bullseye in the absence of understanding where the target is. Luckily, in this case, I struck a bullseye with the first shot.

Logo made for using an indication for the restaurant (Brewgrrs), it is an ornate manuscript font style that is similar to a popular sports team logo.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I’ve created loads of restaurant custom logo designs and establishment signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments, and eateries all over the United States, from cupcake bakeries to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I think Brewgrrs was my absolute favorite. Brewgrrs was a neat undertaking in which I worked closely with the owner to develop a logo which worked really well and did a great job to brand them, it functioned on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the illuminated signage which hung over their doors, and was highly visible and very legible from over a block away.
