Maricopa, Arizona Logo Design

Virtually every new Maricopa business realizes that they are in need of a logo, however few new business owners fully realize the pivotal role their logo design can perform in their becoming successful, or exactly why one logo design performs far better than another. A logo has a critical and sustaining impact on the prosperity of a business, select the right one and it will make the door swing and phone ring, go with the wrong one and it will be an obstacle and an impediment for the life of a business.

The logos included in the ImageCo portfolio help Maricopa, Arizona businesses prosper, they are effective in any given scenario and the reason they are so effective is that they all have these five traits in common.

  1. Simplicity: simple logos don’t require scrutiny, they can be realized in just a look.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to posters a scalable logo design will be legible and equally emotive at virtually any dimension.
  3. Versatility: logos that work on any sort of device, in print, on product packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball-cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are personal, and they are suitable for the company they represent.
  5. Relevance: a logo must be enduring and will feel relevant today, tomorrow, and thirty years from now.

Logo PORTFOLIO Volume 1

Retro logo design of a bicycle developed for a Maricopa, Arizona coffee cafe as well as a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This fledgling coffee roaster and coffee bar were actually opening in an old part of the area and wanted to project a nostalgic atmosphere without coming across as stodgy or low energy. I fulfilled the two jobs by designing a company logo design that contains a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is antiquated, higher energy, and is a enduring business image.

medical logo design with a microscope slide and germs made for Maricopa, Arizona clinical facility.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the science that studies the causes and consequences of diseases, especially the branch of healthcare which works with the laboratory assessment of samplings of body cellular material for diagnostic or forensic reasons.

The Mid-Valley Pathology custom logo design I came up with is really the only instance I remember in which I was in a position to integrate a bacteria-laden microscope slide within a business logo design.

Generally I attempt not to be extremely literal with a concept and to a degree, this design approaches the company it represents rather literally, however it does it in a way that incorporates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an explanation of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancer to the name that makes it more intriguing, more focus grabbing and even more memorable.

logo style with a leaping environment-friendly frog developed for a family fun center in Maricopa, Arizona.

Cool Springs | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a really fun project to work on, probably because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the norm of the sorts of jobs that come my way, I’ve produced dozens of logo designs for medical professionals, dentists, and attorneys but Cool Springz is without question the one and only trampoline park which I have actually ever had the opportunity to work on.

Given that the title of the business has the word springz in its name the apparent choice would have been to integrate a couple of springs into the concept but Cool Springz is a fun destination to go and spring does not actually resonate an atmosphere of fun does it. My thought process on this logo design project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, eventually I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the title itself to give the logo a better enthusiastic high energy mood.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my design and named the frog Jax and incorporated him in to everything they used for marketing. I also think this is the only time that a logo I came up with was made into a mascot when they had an employee costume fabricated to look just like my frog design.

digital photography logo featuring a flock of birds, a hill, a trail, a stream, and also a tree - created for Maricopa, Arizona traveling photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo design project I took on for a travel photographer, which is a rather niche field of photography and I believe it is a niche field due to the fact that travel photographers don’t capture places or things but instead communicate emotional journeys through the pictures they capture. The idea behind this logo concept was to utilize negative space to project more than what was visible upon initial view, which I think is representative of almost all professional photographers in that they frequently share entire stories using their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a 1000 words but I think that some photographs convey a great deal more than that because their photos often have an emotional fullness that can’t be communicated with mere words. I tried to do something similar to this logo by using the positive space in the design to say one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was communicated through the first impression. I think, in hindsight, that my objective was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Maricopa logo design but also to show the depth in her work and in the way that she views the world through the lens of her camera.

Maricopa logo style with a seagull utilized for the letter A. Designed for a wireless retail service.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The bulk of business logo design jobs that I take on I truly enjoy and the Coastal Wireless assignment was one that I really felt good about, however the customer didn’t quite share my enthusiasm for it. I felt really good about the idea of using the seagull shape as a stroke in the letter A however my client, while he liked the concept, didn’t care for my choice of birds. This particular guy truly hated seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, fortunately the rest of his family didn’t share his scorn for this specific variety of sea bird.

When I turn a design over to a customer I urge all of them to talk about it with colleagues and family members as well as with people that they don’t actually know so as to get unbiased point of views on the merit of a design. Fortunately, he shared it with his family and they really liked the concept and were able to persuade him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to include every other seabird he could think of … in the end I was able to talk him out of his alternative of a pelican and he went with the original design.

Business logos are a weird creature in the design world because the people that tend to hire a professional to create their business logo understand how vital a logo design is for their company so they are much more invested in the result. Every logo design project has it’s share of obstacles, but the most significant obstacle is finding that sweet spot in a design that works really well at the task it’s needed to do in branding a company and also giving the client the identity they see for themselves.

a red panda logo design with bamboo in the background, layout for Maricopa, Arizona book author

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a slender slice of real estate to work with, yet it really is the most critical part of a published book given that it is usually the very first thing a person views in the book shop. Regarding a publishing company, it’s the best opportunity that they will ever get to promote their label and get their logo design in front of the individuals that shop for actual books.

This 3 color design is vivid, colorful and eye-catching and it leaves plenty of territory for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo developed for an airline in Los Angeles, the logo has two letter A's with benches changed to indicate they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines come and go but it seems that in many occurrences one of the items people tend to recollect the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a small startup commuter/shuttle airline located in LA and while I’m not certain it really “took off” their organization logo didn’t ground them. The bookend A’s in their title lent itself well to affording a good sense of flight and it was undoubtedly a winner.

Maricopa logo layout made use of for marketing and a tag design for Vintage Situation features an archaic typeface design.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in new cases for musical instruments, which looked to be antique cases. For this logo concept I sought to come up with a logo that had a fluid old-fashioned feel to it and could easily be used for every thing from a web site to an insignia on brand new cases that appeared like they were from a different generation.

Logo developed for an orthodontist in Maricopa, Arizona, design consist of an arc with lines intersecting through it to indicate metal dental braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dentistry logos can easily be one of the most challenging and difficult logo projects due to the fact that it appears that every single dentist features a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dentistry logos are one of the very most cliche ridden professions when it comes to small business marketing, if restaurants approached their advertising in the exact same way dental offices do every one of their company logos would be a picture trying to explain something they served, McDonalds would most likely have an image of a potato and a cow.

I recognize the thinking behind incorporating an illustration of something mouth related to a dentist’s company logo nevertheless it has to be done subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dentists logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental care industry.

I actually enjoy doing dentistry business logos simply because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies the field of dentistry or a certain field of dental treatment like orthodontics without resorting to the clichéd approach that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics offered such an opportunity and subsequently I created a design that doesn’t have a single smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t overt, they are still suggested in the concept. When I turned this particular design over to the customer the only smile that was evident was really the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo created for a household nonprofit, the logo design includes 4 personalities staggered in height to stand for a family with in the layout.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation reached out to ImageCo to help them come up with a brand identity design that would be depictive of the love that William McNally had for the folks in his city. Most logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain portrayals of a happy family, a cliche heavy strategy to any logo design is to be overly literal about what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve found that the best concepts are the ones that are understated and never hit the viewer on the head with what the business or institution wishes to project.

The McNally Foundation’s name presented a unique opportunity to do a custom logo design which communicated that they were about families without being openly cheesy about it. The objective of a logo is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer makes an effort to use the logo to illustrate specifically how people ought to think or feel they don’t understand the goal of a logo. If people have to consider a logo design to understand what it means, it has failed, a logo needs to be instantly understood and a logo that illustrates itself will never have the opportunity to be comprehended.

Logo layout developed for a hair style workshop featuring a manuscript font a hummingbird and an implied orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios wanted a logo design that projected an atmosphere of ease and elegance for their new hair salon. I came up with a concept that did not go the obvious direction of creating merely a stylized orchid but alternatively designed a company logo that suggested a flower in the formation of a swirl incorporated into the letter O in the title and by putting attention on the logo design with the silhouette of a hummingbird hovering over the logo itself. The obvious path in creating a business logo is frequently the incorrect route and in this case, the design ended up not being about the flower but instead placed the main focus on the perception that they really wanted to transmit to their clients.

Arabian horse logo design developed for an equine cattle ranch that concentrates on breeding Arabian show steeds.

Dazzo Arabians | Logo Design

ImageCo designed a unique brand design styled to display the unique physical traits of the Arabian pedigree of horses. With a different head shape and high tail carriage, the Arabian is one of the most easily identifiable equine types in the entire world.

Las Cafe logo style a little restaurant, style contains a changed script font style which floats over a team of elaborate lines and also dots.

Las Cafe | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

Las Coffee shop logo layout a tiny restaurant, style consists of a modified script typeface which hovers above a group of elaborate lines and also dots.

Logo layout for a software application designer the layout attributes as well as legendary element of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the key component of an operating system (OS). Generally, the kernel is responsible for memory management, process and task management, and disk management. The kernel connects the computer hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that acts as a bridge between the software program and computer hardware.

The logo design I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is located a couple of miles from the business offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to explain anything to anyone pertaining to what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. Nevertheless it represented something to the owner of the company and in many cases the substance supporting a logo design is equally as important as how it brands the company it represents.

A logo style featuring a fisherman in the middle of the name casting a fly towards the visitor.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brand names such as Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in over 7 billion a year selling goods and equipment to outdoor sporting lovers the founders of On the Fly knew the market place was primed for an outdoor sporting merchant that functions as a consignment business. Whether or not you are into boating, fishing or rock climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly presents a location for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all sorts of passions, a spot to market their previously owned items to other sports enthusiasts. I tailored their Maricopa logo dsign with a graphic which garners the attention of traffic and projects an image that wakens the enthusiasm of the outdoors. With traffic that averages forty five mph I knew it would take more than the average logo/sign to get travelers to take notice, hence the graphic of a fly fisherman in his natural and calm habitat.
Logo style MQ farms, this logo layout has actually an area included into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms brand design wasn’t actually created for an Maricopa, Arizona regional farm it was really devised for a products broker, and this particular creative logo was one of several which fell beneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The goal was really to produce a graphic that projected esteem, effectiveness, and prosperity.

Maricopa Logo design for a nonprofit, Transforming Point Solutions - the logo layout attribute for externally facing arrow as well as the arrowheads imply that it is a ruby form.

Turning Point Foundation | Logo Design

The Turning Point Foundation was entirely open to what kind of logo design that they would like, this can be a good thing or a bad thing. Good in that it provides a designer the flexibility to investigate any idea that comes to mind, bad in that it’s tricky to hit a bullseye without knowing where the target is. Thankfully, in this case, I nailed a bullseye with the very first go.

Logo developed for using an indicator for the restaurant (Brewgrrs), it is a luxuriant script typeface that is similar to a famous sports group logo design.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I’ve created dozens of restaurant logos and establishment signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the USA, from cupcake bakeries to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I think Brewgrrs was my absolute favorite. Brewgrrs was a cool undertaking in which I worked directly with the business owner to create a logo design which worked extremely well and did a fantastic job to brand them, it worked on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the lighted sign which hung above their doors, and was highly visible and very legible from over a block away.
