STRATEGIES ON PICKING THE RIGHT LOGO DESIGNER

BUDGET

A business logo is an investment in both your time and your money so whenever a design agency offers a money back guarantee try to bear in mind that they can not reimburse the amount of time you invest which is eminently more valuable than your money is.

PORTFOLIO

Some design firms talk a good game but in the end a design firm can only be determined by the quality of their portfolio, if the work in their design portfolio does not feature real life samples chances are they won’t be able to deliver a quality logo design.

VISION

A logo’s goal is to be understood and remembered, and it’s purpose is to echo your personal vision for your business. If a logo designer is not focused on realizing your vision, the thing they are actually focused on is how fast they can get paid.

Maricopa LOGO DESIGN

For over twenty years ImageCo has been helping small business owners establish unforgettable brands. We have performed logo design work for mechanics, universities, heart surgeons, wedding singers, restaurants, retailers, and just about every other kind of business concern you can imagine. What makes ImageCo different compared to our contemporaries is that our background is rooted in the electrical sign industry so we approach every branding project as though it will be utilized as an electric sign. Because of our sign first technique our designs can, and have been utilized in everything from clothing labels to electrical signs. Our sign first approach guarantees that our logos are just as successful whether they are used in TV commercials or web headers, they are consistently identifiable, understood, and always remembered irrespective of size or purpose.

American Made ★ Design

Something that really sets ImageCo apart from other design firms that you might possibly have stumbled upon online, companies like Thumbtack, Design Hill, Upwork, or Crowdspring is that absolutely every project we are enlisted to do, we do in-house. Irrespective of the kind of project we take on, business logo, web site, trade show booth, or electrical sign, we do not, and never will job-out our customer’s projects to agencies based outside the United States. When you phone us at 1-855-IMAGECO the party that picks up the phone is ImageCo’s owner and designer, not a go-between that increases the cost of your project and determines the conditions of how my customers and I do business.

QUALITIES OF A GREAT LOGO DESIGN

Virtually every new Maricopa entrepreneur realizes that they require a logo, yet few new business owners fully understand the pivotal role their company logo will make in their financial success, or the reason that one logo works more effectively than another. A logo design has an instant and sustaining influence on the financial success of a company, pick the correct one and it will make the door swing and cash register ring, go with the incorrect one and it can be a barrier and an impediment for the life of an organization. The logos included in the ImageCo portfolio help Maricopa businesses succeed, they are effective in any given scenario and the main reason they are so effective is that they all have these 5 things in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logo designs do not require deliberation, they can be comprehended in just a glimpse.
  2. Scalability: from label to billboards a scalable logo design will stay legible and just as emotive at virtually any size.
  3. Versatility: logos which function on any sort of device, in print, on product packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they feel exclusive, and they are suitable for the item or company they brand.
  5. Relevance: a logo should be lasting and will feel equally relevant today, tomorrow, and 20 years from today.

understand your brand

Brand – It’s a verb and a noun, it is an identifying mark as well as the act of noting something to make sure that it can be identified, its origin comes from the mark burned onto animals. These days a brand represents basically anything with an objective, regardless if it be profit or political parties, a brand is an innate aspect of specifying the worth of something in the public’s mind.

Branding – Is kind of like advertising and marketing’s sexy cousin, they are all from the very same family, the distinction being that advertising and marketing are about making a promise and branding’s goal is to deliver on that promise. Branding is also a calculated popularity contest aimed at a target audience, it’s objective is to produce a mental image that the target market will likely identify with.

Brand Image – An image planted and nurtured by advertising and marketing as well as identity design. When a person states the names Ferrari or Mustang what we consider is their brand image, it’s an image that exists in our minds. That image isn’t an image of an automobile with 4 wheels that can move us from point A to point B, the the mental image we have (or at least I have) is of freedom, beauty, of something dangerous and sexy . That is brand image and brand image is what makes individuals purchase those products. Brand image is why people buy most things, from Nike to Adidas Chevy or Ford, Democrats or Republicans … all driven by brand images that people can identify with.

Branding Agencies – If you reflect on the beginning of many branding companies you’ll find that they are often re-branded advertising and marketing companies. When somebody claims they are in marketing many people will likely have a preconceived notion about what they do. Yet when somebody says “I’m in branding”… it simply seems much more attractive, perhaps it’s since most individuals do not recognize what it implies to be in branding so it comes off as mysterious and perhaps even sexy.

Brand Identity – Is an inclusive term that describes the visual elements of a product or agency that affect view points. This largely includes the name, the logo design, the packaging, the different colors used however can also consist of sound, lighting, texture, signs, really anything that can be seen, touched or heard are part of a brand identity.

Brand Identity Designer
– A brand identity designer is a designer that specializes in a type of visual design which helps form the perception of a firm, a product or a business. Brand identity designers develop logo designs, signage designs, product packaging, as well as collateral products such as business cards, stationery, and pamphlets. Some visual designers also develop websites and also software interfaces. The important role of a brand identity designer is to develop the visual cues and also a psychological tone with the goal of affecting actions, end results and perceptions.

select SIGNS & LOGOS

Retro logo layout of a bicycle produced for a Maricopa coffee cafe and also a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This fledgling coffee roaster and coffeehouse were actually opening in an older section of the area and wanted to cast a vintage atmosphere without appearing as boring or low energy. I accomplished both jobs by creating a symbol design that includes a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is old-fashioned, higher energy, and is a enduring business image.

clinical logo design with a microscope slide as well as germs designed for Maricopa clinical center.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the science which researches the triggers and consequences of diseases, especially the field of healthcare which works with the clinical evaluation of specimens of human body cellular material for diagnostic or forensic objectives.

The Mid-Valley Pathology brand I came up with is the sole instance I remember where I was in a position to integrate a bacteria-laden microscope slide into a logo design.

Usually I try not to be overly literal with a design and to a point, this design approaches the company it serves quite literally, yet it does it in a way that integrates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as a description of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancement to the name that helps make it more interesting, more interest grabbing and more meaningful.

logo layout with a leaping green frog created for a family enjoyable center in Maricopa.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a very cool project to work on, probably because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the usual of the kinds of projects which come my way, I’ve done dozens of logo designs for surgeons, dental experts, and lawyers but Cool Springz is without question the one and only trampoline park that I have ever had the privilege to work on.

Given that the title of the business features the word springz in its name the apparent choice would have been to include a handful of springs into the design but Cool Springz is a fun location to go and spring doesn’t actually reflect an environment of fun does it. My thought process on this project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, eventually I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the title itself to give the logo a more enthusiastic high energy impression.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my brainchild and named the frog Jax and included him in to everything they utilized for advertising and marketing. I also think this is the only time that a logo I designed was made into a mascot when they had an employee costume fabricated to look exactly like my frog design.

photography logo design featuring a flock of birds, a hill, a route, a stream, and also a tree - made for Maricopa travel digital photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo project I took on for a travel photographer, which is a fairly specialized field of photography and I believe it is a niche field due to the fact that travel photographers don’t shoot places or things but instead project emotional journeys through the photos they capture. The idea behind this logo design was to utilize negative space to reveal more than what was visible upon first view, which I think is quintessential of the majority of good photographers in that they often tell whole stories using their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a 1000 words but I think that some photographs convey a lot more than that because their photos often have an emotional fullness that can’t be conveyed with just words. I made an effort to do something similar to this logo design by employing the positive space in the design to suggest one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was communicated through the first impression. I think, in hindsight, that my objective was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Maricopa logo but also to illustrate the depth to her art and in the way that she sees the world through the lens of her camera.

Maricopa logo design with a seagull utilized for the letter A. Designed for a wireless retail company.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The bulk of business logo design jobs that I take on I honestly relish and the Coastal Wireless project was one that I really felt good about, however the client didn’t quite share my excitement for it. I felt really good about the idea of using the seagull silhouette as a stroke in the letter A but the customer, even though he liked the concept, didn’t care for my choice of birds. This particular guy genuinely despised seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, thankfully the rest of his friends and family didn’t share his aversion for this particular type of sea bird.

When I turn a design over to a customer I urge them to talk about it with friends and colleagues and family as well as with individuals that they don’t even know so as to get neutral point of views on the worthiness of a design concept. Fortunately, he discussed it with his family members and they adored the design and were able to reason with him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to incorporate every other seabird he could think of … ultimately I was able to talk him out of his alternative of a pelican and he went with the original design.

Business logos are a weird animal in the design world because the people that are inclined to hire a professional to design their business logo recognize how important a logo design is for their business so they are much more vested in the result. Every logo design job possesses it’s allotment of obstacles, but the greatest challenge is finding that sweet spot in a design that functions really well at the job it’s needed to do in branding a business and also giving the client the identity they see for themselves.

a red panda logo style with bamboo in the background, design for Maricopa publication publisher

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a narrow piece of real estate to work with, but it is the most critical part of a published book given that it is ordinarily the very first thing a person sees in the book shop. With respect to a publisher, it’s the absolute best opportunity they will ever have to promote their brand and get their logo design in front of the people that shop for actual books.

This 3 color design is vivid, picturesque and eye-catching and it gives plenty of space for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo developed for an airline in Los Angeles, the logo has two letter A's with the bars customized to indicate they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines come and depart nevertheless it seems like that in many instances one of the items consumers usually tend to remember the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a modest start-up commuter/shuttle airline company based in LA and although I’m not sure it really “took off” their logo didn’t ground them. The bookend A’s in their title lent itself well to affording a spirit of airline flight and it was definitely a winner.

Maricopa logo layout used for marketing and a tag layout for Vintage Case includes an archaic typeface style.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case focused in brand-new cases for musical instruments, which appeared to be antique cases. For this brand design I attempted to come up with a logo that offered a fluid nostalgic feel to it and could easily be utilized for every thing from a website to a label on brand new cases that seemed like they were from a different generation.

Logo produced for an orthodontist in Maricopa, style consist of an arc with lines converging through it to indicate metal dental braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental logo designs can be one of the most challenging and difficult logo design projects considering that it appears that every single dental professional features a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dentistry logo designs are one of the most cliche ridden professions when it comes to company advertising, if dining establishments approached their branding in the exact same way dental practices do every one of their company logos would be a picture trying to explain anything they served, McDonalds would likely include an image of a potato and a cow.

I understand the thinking behind including a likeness of something mouth associated to a dentist’s logo nevertheless it has to be done subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dental professionals logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental profession.

I actually love doing dentist business logos because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies dentistry or a specific field of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the stereotypical approach that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics delivered such an opportunity and ultimately I created a layout that does not have a solitary smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t overt, they are still suggested in the design. When I turned this particular concept over to the client the only smile that was evident was the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo developed for a family nonprofit, the logo design features 4 personalities startled in elevation to stand for a family with in the style.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation asked ImageCo to help them come up with a logo that would be representative of the love that William McNally had for the residents in his community. Many logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain images of a happy family, a cliche heavy method to any logo design is to be far too literal about what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve discovered that the best concepts are the ones that are downplayed and don’t hit the viewer on the head with what the business or institution hopes to convey.

The McNally Foundation’s name provided a distinct opportunity to do a custom logo design that conveyed that they were about families without being openly corny about it. The intention of a logo design is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer attempts to use the logo to summarize how individuals ought to think or feel they don’t understand the mission of a logo. If people have to ponder a logo to understand what it means, it has fallen short, a logo needs to be instantly understood and a logo that explains itself won’t have the opportunity to be comprehended.

Logo layout produced for a Maricopa hair layout workshop featuring a script font a hummingbird as well as an indicated orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios wanted a business logo that carried a feeling of contentment and connection for their new hair studio. I created a design that did not go the obvious direction of crafting just a stylized orchid but rather created a company logo which suggested a flower in the pattern of a swirl featured in to the letter O in the title and by placing emphasis on the concept using the figure of a hummingbird floating above the image itself. The obvious path in creating a logo design is oftentimes the incorrect course and in this case, the design ended up not being about the orchid but instead put the main focus on the emotion that they wanted to project to their patrons.

Arabian steed logo style developed for an equine cattle ranch that focuses on breeding Arabian program horses.

Dazzo Arabians | Logo Design

ImageCo designed an original brand concept fashioned to symbolize the unique physical traits of the Arabian pedigree of horses. With a distinctive head shape and high tail posture, the Arabian is one of the highly quite easily identifiable horse lineages in the world.

Las Cafe, A Maricopa Coffee shop logo design a small restaurant, style includes a modified manuscript font style which floats above a group of luxuriant lines as well as dots.

Las Cafe | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

Las Cafe logo layout a small restaurant, layout consists of a changed manuscript font style which floats over a group of ornate lines as well as dots.

Logo layout for a software developer the layout functions and also famous Maricopa element of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the principal component of an operating system (OS). Generally, the kernel is responsible for memory management, process and task control, and drive operations. The kernel connects the computer hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that functions as a connection in between the software and computer hardware.

The logo design I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is situated a couple of miles from the business offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to point out anything to anyone pertaining to what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. Nevertheless it represented something to the owner of the business and in many cases the significance behind a logo design is just as important as how it brands the enterprise it represents.

Evolve logo design produced for a Maricopainterior designer, style attribute a collection of red circles that intersect as well as change the letter O in the middle of the logo design.

Evolv Interior Design | Logo Design | Branding

Evolv Design is a Maricopa interior design company and this logo design is representational of the work that an interior designer does in. An interior designer is a professional who organizes, researches, coordinates, and oversees such ventures. Interior design is a diverse occupation that includes conceptual development, space planning, location examinations, programming, study, interacting with the stakeholders of a project, construction supervision, and execution of the design.

logo style provided for Advanced Leadership Solutions in Maricopa, the characters for letter V as well as A in middle of the word advanced have been modified to tie directly right into the words below.

Advanced Leadership Solutions | Logo Design | Website Design

This Maricopa logo design job was carried out for a leadership guide that aids business professionals to become more successful at supervising people, expectations, and productivity.

A Maricopa business logo style featuring an angler in the center of the name casting a fly in the direction of the audience.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With companies like Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in more than 7 billion a year selling supplies and equipment to outdoor sporting fans the founders of On the Fly understood the market was ready for an outdoor sporting retailer that operates as a consignment company. Whether or not you are into boating, angling or mountain climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly provides a location for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all sorts of passions, a location to market their secondhand products to other sports enthusiasts.

I designed their Maricopa logo design with an illustration that grabs the interest of traffic and projects an image that arouses the enthusiasm of the outdoors. With traffic that averages forty five mph I realized it would take more than the typical logo/sign to get commuters to take notice, hence the graphic of a fly fisherman in his natural and serene habitat.

Logo design MQ ranches, this Maricopa company logo layout has an area included right into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms brand design wasn’t actually developed for an Maricopa area farm it was in reality designed for an investments broker, and this trademark was one of several that fell beneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The aim was really to design a graphic that projects esteem, financial success, and affluence.

Maricopa Logo design for a not-for-profit, Transforming Factor Solutions - the logo design function for ostensibly encountering arrowhead and also the arrowheads suggest that it is a ruby form.

Turning Point Foundation | Logo Design

The Turning Point Foundation was completely open to what kind of logo design they would like, this can be a good thing or a bad thing. Good in that it grants a designer the liberty to discover any concept that comes to mind, bad in that it’s challenging to hit a bullseye without understanding where exactly the target is. Luckily, in this case, I struck a bullseye with the first shot.

Logo design created for using an indicator for the dining establishment (Brewgrrs), it is an elaborate manuscript font style that is reminiscent of a popular Maricopa sporting activities team logo design.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I’ve crafted loads of restaurant business logos and business signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments, and eateries all over the US, from cupcake bakeries to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I think Brewgrrs was my favorite. Brewgrrs was a cool project in which I worked closely with the business owner to create a logo which worked extremely well and did a great job to brand them, it functioned on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the illuminated sign that hung over their doors, and was highly visible and very easy to read from over a block away.
