Mesa, Arizona Logo Design

Nearly every new Mesa business realizes that they require a logo, yet few entrepreneurs fully grasp the key role their organization’s logo will play in their success, or why one logo works more effectively than another. A logo design has an instant and long-term effect on the prosperity of a company, pick the correct one and it can make the door swing and phone ring, go with the incorrect one and it will be a barrier and an impediment for the life of a company.

The logos presented in the ImageCo portfolio help Mesa, Arizona companies succeed, they are effective in any given circumstance and the reason they are so effective is that they all have these 5 things in common.

  1. Simplicity: simple logos do not demand deliberation, they can be understood in just a glimpse.
  2. Scalability: from labels to billboards a scalable logo will stay legible and just as emotive at virtually any dimension.
  3. Versatility: logos that operate on any sort of device, in print, on product packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball-cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are exclusive, and they are suitable for the business they represent.
  5. Relevance: a company logo needs to be enduring and should feel as relevant today, tomorrow, and thirty years from now.
Retro logo design of a bicycle produced for a Mesa, Arizona coffee cafe as well as a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This budding coffee roaster and coffeehouse were actually opening in an older part of the community and hoped to visualize a vintage atmosphere without coming across as monotonous or low energy. I achieved the two jobs via designing a company logo design that contains a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is old-fashioned, higher energy, and is a enduring business image.

medical logo design with a microscope slide as well as germs created for Mesa, Arizona clinical clinic.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the science which researches the triggers and consequences of diseases, mainly the branch of medicine that deals with the clinical examination of samplings of body cellular material for diagnostic or forensic reasons.

The Mid-Valley Pathology logo I came up with is really the only instance I recall where I was in a position to integrate a bacteria-laden microscope slide into a logo design.

Generally I attempt not to be excessively literal with a concept and to a point, this design approaches the company it serves very literally, however it does it in a way that incorporates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as a description of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancer to the name that makes it more intriguing, more attention grabbing and a lot more memorable.

logo layout with a leaping environment-friendly frog designed for a family enjoyable center in Mesa, Arizona.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a very cool project to work on, most likely because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s additionally a project that is way out of the norm of the types of jobs that come my way, I’ve produced dozens of logo designs for doctors, dental experts, and legal professionals but Cool Springz is without question the only trampoline park that I have ever gotten the privilege to work on.

Given that the name of the company has the word springz in its name the obvious choice would have been to include a couple springs into the design but Cool Springz is a fun place to go and spring doesn’t really resonate an atmosphere of fun does it. My thought process on this logo project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, in the end I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the name itself to provide the logo a much more lively high energy atmosphere.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my design and named the frog Jax and included him in to everything they utilized for marketing. I also think this is the only time that a logo I did was made into a mascot when they had a staff member costume fabricated to look exactly like my frog design.

photography logo including a group of birds, a mountain, a route, a stream, as well as a tree - made for Mesa, Arizona travel digital photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo design project I took on for a travel photographer, which is a pretty niche field of photography and I think it is a niche field due to the fact that travel photographers tend not to capture places or things but rather communicate emotional journeys through the photos they capture. The idea behind this logo design was to use negative space to reveal more than what was visible upon first glance, which I think is representative of the majority of professional photographers in that they often convey entire stories using their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a thousand words but I think that some photographs convey a great deal more than that because their photos frequently have an emotional fullness that can’t be communicated with mere words. I attempted to do something very similar to this logo design by utilizing the positive space in the design to say one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was communicated through the first impression. I think, in looking back, that my objective was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Mesa logo design but also to illustrate the depth of her work and in the way that she perceives the world through the lens of her camera.

Mesa logo style with a seagull utilized for the letter A. Designed for a wireless retail organisation.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The bulk of custom logo design projects that I take on I truly relish and the Coastal Wireless project was one that I certainly felt good about, but the client didn’t quite share my enthusiasm for it. I felt really good about the idea of using the seagull form as a stroke in the letter A but my client, while he loved the concept, really did not care for my choice of birds. This particular guy seriously despised seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, thankfully the rest of his family members did not share his contempt for this specific variety of sea bird.

When I turn a concept over to a customer I urge them to share it with colleagues and family members as well as with individuals that they don’t actually know so as to get unbiased viewpoints on the merit of a design concept. Fortunately, he shared it with his whole family and they really liked the design and were able to reason with him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to include every other seabird he could think of … eventually I was able to talk him out of his alternative of a pelican and he proceeded with the original design.

Custom logo designs are a strange creature in the design world given that the people that are inclined to hire a professional to create their logo design recognize how important a logo is for their organization so they are way more vested in the end result. Every logo project possesses it’s share of hurdles, however the most significant obstacle is identifying that sweet spot in a design that functions really well at the job it’s needed to do in branding a company and also giving the client the image they see for themselves.

a red panda logo style with bamboo behind-the-scenes, layout for Mesa, Arizona book publisher

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a thin segment of real estate to work with, nevertheless it really is the most necessary part of a published book considering that it is often the very first thing a person views in the bookstore. With respect to a publishing company, it’s the optimal opportunity they will likely ever have to promote their product and get their logo design in front of the people that buy actual books.

This 3 color design is vibrant, picturesque and eye-catching and it gives plenty of area for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo design designed for an airline company in Los Angeles, the logo has two letter A's with the bars modified to suggest they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines arrive and depart however it seems like that in many occurrences one of the things people usually tend to recall the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a small startup commuter/shuttle airline based in LA and although I’m not sure it really “took off” their organization logo didn’t ground them. The bookend A’s in their title lent itself well to conferring a feeling of flight and it was certainly a success.

Mesa logo style used for advertising and a tag layout for Vintage Instance includes an archaic font style layout.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case focused in brand new cases for musical instruments, that seemed to be antique cases. For this brand design I strove to come up with a logo that possessed a fluid old-fashioned feel to it and could be used for every thing from a web page to an insignia on brand new cases that appeared like they were from another point in time.

Logo developed for an orthodontist in Mesa, Arizona, design include an arc with lines intersecting via it to indicate metal dental braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dentistry business logos can be one of the most difficult logo design projects due to the fact that it seems that each and every dental professional features a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dentistry business logos are one of the most cliche ridden fields when it comes to company branding, if restaurants approached their branding in the very same way dentists do every one of their logos would definitely be a picture explaining something they served, McDonalds would probably have an image of a potato and a cow.

I understand the thinking behind incorporating an illustration of something mouth related to a dentist’s logo nevertheless it has to be done subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dentists logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental profession.

I actually love doing dental care logo designs because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies dentistry or a certain area of the field of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the stereotypical approach that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics provided such an opportunity and ultimately I created a design that does not have a single smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t obvious, they are still implied in the concept. When I turned this concept over to the client the only smile that was apparent was actually the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo created for a family not-for-profit, the logo design features 4 personalities startled in height to stand for a family with in the style.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation contacted ImageCo to help them come up with a logo design that would be illustrative of the love that William McNally had for the people residing in his community. The majority of logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain pictures of a happy family, a cliche heavy approach to any logo design is to be far too literal about what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve found that the best concepts are the ones that are understated and don’t hit the viewer on the head with what the company or institution wishes to relate.

The McNally Foundation’s name provided a unique opportunity to do a logo design that communicated that they were about families without being openly cheesy about it. The goal of a logo design is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer tries to use the logo design to describe exactly how people should think or feel they don’t understand the purpose of a logo. If viewers have to ponder a logo design to understand what it means, it has been in vain, a logo needs to be immediately understood and a logo design that explains itself will never have the likelihood to be comprehended.

Logo design produced for a hair design workshop featuring a manuscript font a hummingbird and an indicated orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios needed a logo design that communicated an atmosphere of ease and connection for their new hair salon. I came up with a concept which didn’t go the obvious route of crafting simply a stylized orchid but alternatively delivered a business logo which suggested an orchid in the formation of a swirl blended into the letter O in the title and by putting attention on the logo design along with the silhouette of a hummingbird hovering above the image itself. The obvious path in creating a logo design is generally the incorrect route and in this case, the design ended up not being about the flower but alternately put the attention on the feeling that they wanted to transmit to their customers.

Logo layout for a software programmer the design features as well as legendary element of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the central part of an operating system (OS). Traditionally, the kernel is responsible for memory management, process and task control, and hard drive management. The kernel connects the computer hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that performs as a bridge between the software program and hardware.

The logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is situated a couple of miles from the offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to identify anything to anyone regarding to what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. Nevertheless it symbolized something to the owner of the company and in many cases the symbolism supporting a company logo is equally as important as how it brands the business it represents.

A logo layout including a fisherman in the middle of the name casting a fly in the direction of the customer.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brand names such as Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in more than 7 billion a year selling goods and equipment to outdoor sporting enthusiasts the founders of On the Fly knew the market place was ready for an outdoor sporting retailer that functions as a consignment company. Whether you are into boating, fishing or rock climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly provides a venue for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all types of interests, a place to sell off their pre-owned equipment to other sports enthusiasts. I tailored their Mesa business logo dsign with an image which garners the attention of vehicles and projects an image that evokes the passion of the outdoors. With traffic that averages 45 mph I knew it would take more than the typical logo/sign to get commuters to take notice, hence the picture of a fly fisherman in his natural and serene habitat.
Logo style MQ farms, this logo design has a field integrated into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms business logo design wasn’t actually composed for an Mesa, Arizona regional farm it was actually developed for an investments broker, and this particular brand was one of many which fell beneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The end goal was actually to generate a graphic that projected assurance, effectiveness, and luxury.

Mesa Logo design for a nonprofit, Transforming Factor Solutions - the logo layout function for outwardly encountering arrow as well as the arrowheads suggest that it is a diamond shape.

Turning Point Foundation | Logo Design

The Turning Point Foundation was entirely open to what type of logo design that they desired, this can be a good thing or a bad thing. Good in that it grants a designer the liberty to discover any concept that comes to mind, bad in that it’s tricky to hit a bullseye without understanding where exactly the target is. Thankfully, in this particular instance, I struck a bullseye with the very first try.

Logo design created for using an indication for the dining establishment (Brewgrrs), it is an ornate manuscript font that is evocative a famous sports team logo design.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I’ve designed dozens of restaurant business logos and business signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments, and eateries all over the US, from cupcake bakeries to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I think Brewgrrs was my absolute favorite. Brewgrrs was a great undertaking where I worked closely with the owner to develop a business logo that worked very well and did a great job to brand them, it functioned on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the neon signage which hung over their doors, and was highly visible and very easy to read from over a block away.
