Bella Vista Logo Design

Each and every new Bella Vista company understands that they need a logo, yet few new business owners entirely grasp the pivotal role their logo design will make in their success, or the reason that one logo design performs more effectively than another. A logo design has an immediate and long term impact on the success of a business, go with the correct one and it will make the door swing and phone ring, select the wrong one and it will be an obstacle and a hindrance for the life of a company. The logos presented in the ImageCo portfolio help Bella Vista businesses succeed, they are effective in any given scenario and the reason they are so effective is that they all have these five features in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logos do not require scrutiny, they can be grasped in merely a glimpse.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to posters a scalable business logo will be legible and just as emotive at any dimension.
  3. Versatility: logos that operate on any sort of device, in print, on packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are exclusive, and they are suitable for the business they stand for.
  5. Relevance: a logo must be lasting and will feel relevant today, tomorrow, and forty years from now.

Retro logo layout of a bicycle produced for a Bella Vista coffee cafe and also a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This startup coffee roaster and bistro were actually opening in an older section of town and hoped to project a retro vibe without appearing as boring or low energy. I fulfilled both of these tasks by developing a business logo design that includes a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is antiquated, higher energy, and is a enduring business image.

medical logo layout with a microscopic lense slide and also bacteria designed for Bella Vista clinical clinic.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the science which investigates the triggers and outcomes of diseases, mainly the branch of medicine that deals with the clinical examination of samplings of human body cellular material for diagnostic or forensic purposes.

The Mid-Valley Pathology custom logo design I came up with is really the only instance I recall where I was in a position to incorporate a bacteria-laden microscope slide within a logo design.

Usually I attempt not to be excessively literal with a concept and to a point, this specific design approaches the company it represents rather literally, but it does it in a way that integrates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as a description of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancer to the brand that helps make it more intriguing, more interest grabbing and even more meaningful.

logo design with a jumping environment-friendly frog made for a family members enjoyable facility in Bella Vista.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a very fun project to work on, most likely because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the norm of the kinds of jobs that come my way, I’ve done dozens of logo designs for surgeons, dental practices, and legal professionals but Cool Springz is without question the only trampoline park which I have actually ever gotten the opportunity to work on.

Given that the full name of the business has the word springz in its name the apparent choice would have been to include a couple of springs into the design but Cool Springz is a fun place to go and spring does not actually resonate an environment of fun does it. My thought process on this logo design project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, in the end I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the name itself to give the logo a better dynamic high energy feel.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my concept and named the frog Jax and included him in to everything they used for advertising and marketing. I also believe this is the only time that a logo I designed was made into a mascot when they had a staff member costume fabricated to look just like my frog design.

digital photography logo including a flock of birds, a mountain, a trail, a stream, as well as a tree - created for Bella Vista travel professional photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a custom logo design job I took on for a travel photographer, which is a rather specialized field of photography and I believe it is a niche field due to the fact that travel photographers tend not to shoot locations or things but instead project emotional journeys through the pictures they record. The idea behind this logo composition was to utilize negative space to communicate more than what was visible upon first glance, which I think is representative of most good photographers in that they oftentimes tell entire stories through their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a thousand words but I think that some photographs convey considerably more than that because their photos often have an emotional fullness which can’t be revealed with mere words. I made an effort to do something much the same to this logo by utilizing the positive space in the design to say one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was conveyed through the first impression. I think, in hindsight, that my objective was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Bella Vista logo but also to illustrate the depth to her work and in the way that she sees the world through the lens of her camera.

Bella Vista logo style with a seagull made use of for the letter A. Designed for a cordless retail business.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The majority of logo design projects that I take on I genuinely savor and the Coastal Wireless project was one that I certainly felt good about, however the client didn’t quite share my excitement for it. I felt really good about the idea of using the seagull silhouette as a stroke in the character A however my customer, while he loved the concept, really did not care for my choice of birds. This guy seriously hated seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, thankfully the rest of his family members did not share his scorn for this particular type of sea bird.

When I turn a design over to a client I urge all of them to share it with friends and family members as well as with folks that they don’t actually know so as to get honest viewpoints on the value of a design. Fortunately, he discussed it with his family and they really loved the design and were able to reason with him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to insert every other seabird he could think of … ultimately I was able to talk him out of his alternative of a pelican and he went with the original concept.

Logo designs are a strange creature in the design world given that the people that are inclined to hire a professional to design their logo design understand how important a logo design is for their company so they are much more invested in the outcome. Every logo project possesses it’s allotment of challenges, but the largest obstacle is identifying that sweet spot in a design that functions really well at the task it’s required to do in branding a business and also providing the client the image they see for themselves.

a red panda logo design with bamboo in the background, style for Bella Vista book author

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a thin piece of real estate to work with, yet it is the most vital part of a published book because it is in most cases the very first thing a person sees in the book shop. With respect to a publisher, it’s the most ideal opportunity they will ever get to publicize their product and get their logo design in front of the individuals that shop for actual books.

This three color design is vivid, colorful and eye-catching and it gives plenty of room for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo design made for an airline company in Los Angeles, the logo design has two letter A's with the bars changed to suggest they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines arrive and go but it looks like that in many cases 1 of the aspects people often tend to recall the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a small start-up commuter/shuttle airline located in LA and while I’m not certain it really “took off” their logo design didn’t slow them. The bookend A’s in their title lent itself well to imparting a good sense of flight and it was surely a success.

Bella Vista logo style used for advertising and marketing and a tag layout for Vintage Case includes an old-fashioned font style design.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in new cases for music instruments, which seemed to be much older cases. For this custom logo design I tried to come up with a logo that possessed a fluid old style feel to it and could easily be used for every thing from a web site to an insignia on brand new cases that looked like they were from a different generation.

Logo produced for an orthodontist in Bella Vista, layout include an arc with lines intersecting through it to suggest metal dental braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental care logo designs can easily be one of the most challenging and difficult logo design projects because it appears that every single dental professional incorporates a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dentistry logo designs are one of the most cliche ridden professions when it comes to small business branding, if dining establishments approached their advertising in the very same way dental professionals do every one of their logo designs would be a picture trying to explain something they served, McDonalds would most likely include a picture of a potato and a cow.

I recognize the thinking behind including an image of something mouth associated to a dentist’s logo design but it has to be performed subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dental professionals logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental care industry.

I actually love doing dental logo designs simply because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies the field of dentistry or a specific field of dental treatment like orthodontics without resorting to the stereotypical solution that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics delivered such an opportunity and ultimately I created a layout that doesn’t have a solitary smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t overt, they are still implied in the design. When I turned this particular design over to the customer the only smile that was evident was the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo design designed for a family members nonprofit, the logo features 4 personalities surprised in elevation to represent a family unit with in the design.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation contacted ImageCo to help them come up with a custom logo design that would be representative of the devotion that William McNally had for the families in his city. Many logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain images of a happy family, a cliche heavy technique to any logo design is to be overly literal pertaining to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve found that the best designs are the ones that are downplayed and don’t hit the viewer on the head with what the business or institution wishes to communicate.

The McNally Foundation’s name offered a unique opportunity to do a custom logo design that communicated that they were about families without being overtly corny about it. The intention of a logo design is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer makes an effort to use the logo design to explain precisely how individuals ought to think or feel they don’t understand the mission of a logo. If viewers have to ponder a logo design to understand what it means, it has been in vain, a logo needs to be instantly understood and a logo that describes itself won’t have the chance to be understood.

Logo design developed for a hair style studio featuring a manuscript font a hummingbird as well as an implied orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios required a logo which carried a sense of tranquility and connection for their new hair salon. I came up with a concept that did not go the obvious direction of making merely a stylized orchid but alternatively designed a business logo that suggested an orchid in the formation of a swirl featured into the letter O in the title and by placing attention on the logo design along with the silhouette of a hummingbird hovering over the logo itself. The obvious path in designing a logo design is generally the wrong direction and in this case, the design ended up not being about the orchid but instead put the importance on the feeling that they really wanted to forecast to their customers.

Dazzo Arabians | Logo Design

Logo layout for a software program programmer the style features as well as legendary aspect of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the central part of an operating system (OS). Typically, the kernel is responsible for memory administration, process and task control, and hard drive management. The kernel connects the computer hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that operates as a bridge between the software program and hardware.

The logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is situated a couple of miles from the business offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to point out anything to anyone pertaining to what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. But it represented something to the owner of the business and in quite a few cases the substance supporting a logo design is just as important as how it serves the enterprise it stands for.

A logo layout featuring an angler in the center of the name casting a fly in the direction of the audience.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With companies like Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in over 7 billion a year selling supplies and equipment to outdoor sporting fans the founders of On the Fly knew the market was primed for an outdoor sporting retailer that operates as a consignment business. Whether you are into boating, sportfishing or mountain climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly provides a venue for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all sorts of interests, a spot to market their previously owned equipment to other sports enthusiasts. I designed their Bella Vista logo design dsign using an image which garners the attention of vehicles and sends an image that calls to mind the passion of the outdoors. With traffic that averages forty five mph I knew it would take more than the typical logo/sign to get commuters to take notice, hence the graphic of a fly fisherman in his natural and tranquil habitat.
Logo design MQ ranches, this logo layout has actually a field integrated into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms custom logo design wasn’t really designed for an Bella Vista regional farm it was really created for a commodities broker, and this particular logo was one of several which fell underneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The objective was to develop a brand mark that projected self-confidence, financial success, and prosperity.
Logo design made for using a sign for the dining establishment (Brewgrrs), it is an ornate manuscript font style that is reminiscent of a popular sporting activities team logo.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I’ve designed quite a lot of restaurant logo designs and establishment signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the US, from cupcake bakeshops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I believe Brewgrrs was my absolute favorite. Brewgrrs was a cool undertaking where I worked closely with the business owner to design a logo which worked very well and did a great job to brand them, it worked on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the lighted sign that hung over their doors, and was highly visible and very legible from over a block away.
