TIPS FOR FINDING THE BEST LOGO DESIGNER

BUDGET

A business logo is an investment in both your time and your money so when a design agency presents a money back guarantee try to keep in mind that they can’t reimburse the amount of time you invest which is much more precious than your money is.

PORTFOLIO

Some designers talk a good game but inevitably a design firm can only be judged by the quality of their design work, if the work in their portfolio doesn’t contain real world samples odds are they won’t be able to produce a top quality logo design.

VISION

A logo’s goal is to be understood and remembered, and it’s objective is to reflect your personal vision for your company. If a designer isn’t focused on actualizing your vision, the thing they are actually focused on is how soon they can get paid.

Benton LOGO DESIGN

For over 2 decades ImageCo has been helping small business owners cultivate notable brands. We’ve undertaken brand identity design work for ranchers, colleges, diamond miners, party planners, cafes, retailers, and just about every other kind of business concern you can envision. What makes ImageCo unique compared to typical graphic designers is that our background is rooted in the electrical sign industry so we undertake every design as though it will be used as an electrical sign. Because of our sign first method our logo designs can, and have been employed in everything from garment labels to neon signs. Our sign first approach ensures that our logos are equally effective whether they are used in television commercials or web apps, they are consistently recognizable, comprehended, and remembered no matter of size or function.

American Made ★ Design

Something which really sets ImageCo apart from many of the design firms that you may have stumbled upon on-line, companies like Thumbtack, Design Hill, Upwork, or Crowdspring is that each and every design project we are contracted to do, we perform in-house. Irrespective of the kind of project we undertake, business logo, web page, trade show display, or electrical sign, we do not, and never will contract out our client’s projects to 3rd parties located outside the USA. Whenever you phone us at 1-855-IMAGECO the person that answers the telephone is ImageCo’s owner and designer, not a go-between that increases the price of your design project and imposes the terms of how you and I do business.

ASPECTS OF A GREAT LOGO DESIGN

Virtually every new Benton organization knows they require a logo, but few new business owners fully understand the vital role their business logo will make in their success, or the reason that one business logo functions more effectively than another. A business logo has an immediate and long-term influence on the viability of a company, go with the correct one and it can make the door swing and cash register ring, select the incorrect one and it will be an obstacle and a hindrance for the longevity of a business. The logos included in the ImageCo portfolio help Benton companies succeed, they are effective in any given scenario and the main reason they are so effective is that they all have these five traits in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logos don’t need scrutiny, they can be grasped in just a look.
  2. Scalability: from label to billboards a scalable logo will remain legible and equally emotive at any scale.
  3. Versatility: logos which function on any device, in print, on packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they feel exclusive, and they are suitable for the product or organization they represent.
  5. Relevance: a business logo needs to be enduring and will feel equally relevant today, tomorrow, and twenty years from today.

understand your brand

Brand – It’s both a verb and also a noun, it’s an identifying mark and the process of marking something to make sure that it could be identified, its origin comes from the brand burned onto animals. These days a brand symbolizes basically anything with a motive, regardless of whether it be profit or politics, a brand is an innate aspect of defining the worth of a specific thing in the public’s mind.

Branding – Is kind of like advertising and marketing’s sexy cousin, they are all from the exact same family, the distinction being that advertising and marketing have to do with making a promise and branding’s objective is to deliver on that promise. Branding is also a calculated popularity competition aimed at a specific audience, it’s objective is to create an image that the audience will connect to.

Brand Image – An image planted and cultivated through advertising and marketing and also identity design. When a person mentions the names Ferrari or Corvette what we consider is their brand image, it’s a picture that exists in our minds. That image isn’t an image of an automobile with 4 wheels that can deliver us from point A to point B, the the mental image we have (or at least I have) is of freedom, elegance, of something dangerous and exotic . That is brand image and that is what makes people want those brands. Brand image is why people identify with specific brands, from Pepsi to Coke Chevy or Ford, Democrats or Republicans … all driven by brand images that people can identify with.

Branding Companies – If you look back at the origin of most branding companies you’ll discover that they are often re-branded advertising and marketing companies. When a person claims they are in advertising lots of people will likely have an idea about the type of work they do anything that can be seen, felt or listened to belong to a brand identity.

Brand Identity Designers
– A brand identity designer is a visual designer that concentrates on a type of visual design that helps shape the image of a firm, a product or a business organization. Brand identity designers create logo designs, signage designs, packaging, as well as collateral products such as cards, stationery, and brochures. Some identity designers also build web sites and software interfaces. The vital role of a brand identity designer is to develop the visual cues and a psychological tone with the goal of influencing activities, results and assumptions.

select logos & signs

Retro logo layout of a bicycle developed for a Benton coffee cafe and also a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This start-up coffee roaster and bistro were actually opening up in an old part of the community and really wanted to cast a nostalgic tone without coming across as stodgy or low energy. I accomplished each of the jobs via creating a sign design that contains a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is old-fashioned, high energy, and is a timeless business image.

medical logo style with a microscope slide and bacteria developed for Benton medical center.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the scientific discipline which examines the triggers and consequences of diseases, mainly the field of medicine that works with the clinical examination of specimens of human body cellular material for diagnostic or forensic purposes.

The Mid-Valley Pathology brand I came up with is the only instance I recollect in which I was able to integrate a bacteria-laden microscope slide within a business logo design.

Typically I try not to be excessively literal with a design and to a degree, this design approaches the company it represents very literally, but it does it in a fashion that incorporates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as a description of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancer to the name that helps make it more appealing, more interest grabbing and much more meaningful.

logo design with a jumping environment-friendly frog designed for a family fun facility in Benton.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a very fun project to work on, most likely because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the usual of the types of projects that come my way, I’ve produced dozens of logo designs for surgeons, dental professionals, and attorneys but Cool Springz is without question the one and only trampoline park that I have ever had the opportunity to work on.

Given that the title of the business features the word springz in its name the apparent choice would have been to integrate a couple of springs into the concept but Cool Springz is a fun place to go and spring does not really resonate an environment of fun does it. My thought process on this logo design project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, inevitably I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the name itself to provide the logo a better dynamic high energy mood.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my concept and named the frog Jax and incorporated him in to everything they utilized for promotion and marketing. I also believe this is the only time that a logo I created was turned into a mascot when they had an employee costume fabricated to look exactly like my frog design.

digital photography logo including a flock of birds, a hill, a trail, a stream, and a tree - made for Benton travel digital photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo job I took on for a travel photographer, which is a pretty niche field of photography and I think it is a niche speciality because travel photographers tend not to capture locations or things but rather reveal emotional journeys by means of the photos they capture. The thought behind this logo concept was to make use of negative space to convey more than what was visible upon initial view, which I think is quintessential of the majority of good photographers in that they frequently share whole stories using their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a thousand words but I think that some photographs convey a lot more than that because their photos frequently have an emotional resonance that can’t be conveyed with just words. I tried to do something very similar to this logo design by employing the positive space in the design to voice one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was communicated through the first impression. I think, in looking back, that my goal was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Benton logo but also to illustrate the depth of her art and in the way that she perceives the world through the lens of her camera.

Benton logo design with a seagull made use of for the letter A. Designed for a wireless retail organisation.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The majority of custom logo design projects that I take on I truly take pleasure in and the Coastal Wireless design was one that I certainly felt good about, but the client didn’t quite share my enthusiasm for it. I felt really good about the concept of using the seagull silhouette as a stroke in the character A however my client, even though he liked the concept, really did not care for my choice of birds. This particular guy truly despised seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, luckily the rest of his friends and family didn’t share his scorn for this particular kind of sea bird.

When I turn a design over to a client I encourage them to talk about it with friends and family members as well as with people that they don’t even know so as to get neutral assessments on the worthiness of a design concept. Fortunately, he shared it with his family and they adored the concept and were able to reason with him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to insert every other seabird he could think of … in the end I was able to talk him out of his preference of a pelican and he proceeded with the original design.

Business logos are a weird creature in the design world because the people that are inclined to hire a professional to design their business logo recognize how crucial a logo design is for their business so they are much more vested in the outcome. Every logo project has it’s allotment of difficulties, but the greatest obstacle is identifying that sweet spot in a design that operates really well at the job it’s needed to do in branding a business and also giving the client the identity they see for themselves.

a red panda logo design with bamboo behind-the-scenes, design for Benton publication author

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a cramped parcel of real estate to work with, nevertheless it really is the most critical part of a printed book due to the fact that it is in most cases the very first thing a person sees in the book store. Concerning a publisher, it’s the best opportunity that they will ever have to advertise their label and get their logo design in front of the people that purchase actual books.

This three color design is vibrant, colorful and eye-catching and it leaves plenty of space for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo created for an airline company in Los Angeles, the logo has two letter A's with the bars modified to indicate they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines come and go however it looks like that in many occurrences 1 of the aspects individuals often tend to recall the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a modest start-up commuter/shuttle airline located in LA and while I’m not sure it really “took off” their logo design didn’t ground them. The bookend A’s in their title lent itself well to imparting a good sense of flight and it was certainly a winner.

Benton logo layout made use of for advertising and a tag design for Vintage Case includes an old-fashioned font layout.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in brand-new cases for music instruments, which seemed to be much older cases. For this business logo concept I strove to come up with a logo that provided a fluid nostalgic feel to it and could easily be used for anything from a web page to an insignia on brand new cases that seemed like they were from a different point in time.

Logo design developed for an orthodontist in Benton, design include an arc with lines intersecting through it to indicate steel braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dentistry business logos can be one of the most difficult logo projects due to the fact that it appears that almost every dentist includes a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dental logos are one of the very most cliche ridden professions when it comes to business advertising, if restaurants approached their branding in the same way dental offices do every one of their logos would definitely be a picture explaining anything they served, McDonalds would probably have an image of a potato and a cow.

I recognize the thinking behind including a likeness of something mouth associated to a dentist’s logo design but it has to be performed subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dental professionals logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental care industry.

I really enjoy doing dentistry logos because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies the field of dentistry or a particular field of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the stereotypical solution that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics offered such an opportunity and subsequently I created a layout that does not have a solitary smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t obvious, they are still implied in the concept. When I turned this particular design over to the client the only smile that was obvious was actually the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo designed for a household not-for-profit, the logo features 4 personalities surprised in height to represent a family unit with in the design.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation asked ImageCo to help them come up with a custom logo design that would be representative of the love that William McNally had for the residents in his city. Many logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain depictions of a happy family, a cliche heavy method to any logo design is to be far too literal pertaining to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve found that the best designs are the ones that are downplayed and don’t hit the viewer on the head with what the business or organization wants to relate.

The McNally Foundation’s name provided a unique opportunity to do a logo design which conveyed that they were about families without being openly cheesy about it. The intention of a logo design is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer attempts to use the logo design to explain exactly how individuals should think or feel they don’t understand the goal of a logo. If people have to think about a logo to understand what it means, it has failed, a logo needs to be instantly understood and a logo design that explains itself won’t have the likelihood to be comprehended.

Logo design produced for a Benton hair layout studio including a script font a hummingbird and also a suggested orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios needed a logo which projected a sense of serenity and class for their new hair studio. I created a concept which didn’t go the obvious direction of creating merely a stylized orchid but alternatively designed a logo design that suggested a flower in the pattern of a swirl integrated in to the letter O in the title and by placing attention on the logo design with the figure of a hummingbird hovering above the logo itself. The obvious path in creating a logo design is in most cases the wrong course and in this case, the design ended up not being about the flower but alternately put the emphasis on the emotion that they really wanted to project to their customers.

Arabian equine logo design developed for a horse ranch that specializes in breeding Arabian program equines.

Dazzo Arabians | Logo Design

ImageCo designed a unique logo design fashioned to manifest the unique physical traits of the Arabian type of horses. By having an unique head shape and higher tail carriage, the Arabian is one of the very most immediately identifiable horse breeds in the world.

Las Cafe, A Benton Coffee shop logo style a small restaurant, layout contains a modified manuscript font style which floats over a group of elaborate lines as well as dots.

Las Cafe | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

Las Cafe logo design a tiny dining establishment, design contains a customized script typeface which floats over a team of ornate lines as well as dots.

Logo layout for a software application developer the layout attributes as well as renowned Benton element of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the principal component of an operating system (OS). Generally, the kernel is responsible for memory administration, process and task control, and hard drive operations. The kernel connects the computer hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that operates as a connection between the software and hardware.

The logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is situated a number of miles from the offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to point out anything to anyone pertaining to what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. Nevertheless it intimated something to the business owner of the company and in many cases the meaning behind a logo is equally as important as how it serves the company it stands for.

Advance logo design produced for a Bentonindoor designer, layout function a collection of red circles that intersect and change the letter O in the center of the logo design.

Evolv Interior Design | Logo Design | Branding

Evolv Design is a Benton interior design company and this logo design is representational of the work that an interior designer does in. An interior designer is a person who prepares, investigates, coordinates, and oversees such ventures. Interior design is a diverse occupation that consists of conceptual development, space planning, location examinations, programming, investigation, interacting with the stakeholders of a project, construction management, and implementation of the design.

logo layout provided for Advanced Leadership Solutions in Benton, the personalities for letter V and also A in middle of words advanced have actually been changed to connect straight into words listed below.

Advanced Leadership Solutions | Logo Design | Website Design

This Benton logo design job was carried out for a management advisor that assists business professionals to become more successful at managing people, expectations, and productivity.

A Benton business logo layout including a fisherman in the center of the name casting a fly towards the customer.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brands such as Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in more than 7 billion a year retailing goods and equipment to outdoor sporting fans the owners of On the Fly knew the market was prepared for an outdoor sporting store that operates as a consignment business. Whether you are into boating, angling or rock climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly presents a location for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all types of passions, a spot to sell their secondhand goods to other sports enthusiasts.

I designed their Benton logo design design utilizing an illustration which garners the interest of vehicles and projects an image that invokes the enthusiasm of the outdoors. With traffic that averages 45 mph I knew it would take more than the typical logo/sign to get commuters to take notice, hence the picture of a fly fisherman in his natural and serene habitat.

Logo design MQ ranches, this Benton company logo style has actually an area integrated right into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms business logo concept wasn’t actually created for an Benton area farm it was really devised for an investments broker, and this business logo was one of many which fell beneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The aim was to make a graphic that projects self-confidence, success, and opulence.

Benton Logo design for a nonprofit, Turning Factor Solutions - the logo style feature for outwardly encountering arrow and the arrowheads suggest that it is a diamond form.

Turning Point Foundation | Logo Design

The Turning Point Foundation was totally open to what kind of logo design that they would like, this can be a good thing or a bad thing. Good in that it gives a designer the liberty to investigate any idea that comes to mind, bad in that it’s hard to hit a bullseye without realizing where the target is. Fortunately, in this particular instance, I nailed a bullseye with the very first go.

Logo designed for using an indicator for the dining establishment (Brewgrrs), it is an elaborate script font that is similar to a well-known Benton sporting activities group logo design.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I have designed dozens of restaurant logos and establishment signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments, and eateries all over the US, from cupcake bake shops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I believe Brewgrrs was my favorite. Brewgrrs was a great project where I worked directly with the business owner to develop a logo that worked really well and did a fantastic job to brand them, it worked on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the illuminated sign that hung over their doors, and was highly visible and very legible from over a block away.
