POINTERS FOR CHOOSING THE RIGHT LOGO DESIGNER

BUDGET

A logo design is an investment in both your time and your money so whenever a design company offers a money back guarantee try to remember that they can not refund the time you commit which is eminently more precious than your money is.

PORTFOLIO

Some designers talk a good game but ultimately a designer can only be evaluated by the quality of their design work, if the work in their design portfolio does not feature real world examples odds are they will not be able to produce a quality logo design.

VISION

A logo’s goal is to be recognized and be unforgettable, and it’s purpose is to reflect your unique vision for your business. If a logo designer is not focused on fulfilling your vision, the thing they are really focused on is how quickly they will get paid.

Fayetteville LOGO DESIGN

For over 2 decades ImageCo has been helping small business owners develop notable brand identities. We have done brand identity design work for builders, universities, heart surgeons, wedding singers, cafes, retailers, and practically every other kind of business you can envision. What makes us different compared to typical graphic designers is that our background is rooted in the electrical sign industry so we undertake every design as though it will be employed as an electric sign. Because of our sign first technique our brand identity designs can, and have been used in everything from clothing labels to electrical signs. Our sign first method ensures that our logos are just as effective whether they are used in television commercials or website applications, they are consistently identifiable, understood, and always remembered no matter of scale or use.

American Made ★ Design

The one difference which truly sets ImageCo apart from other design companies that you probably have come across in search results, companies like Thumbtack, Design Hill, Upwork, or Crowdspring is that absolutely every project we are contracted to perform, we do in-house. Regardless of the kind of project we undertake, logo design, business website, trade show display, or electrical sign, we do not, and never will farm-out our customer’s work to agencies based outside the United States. When you phone us at 1-855-IMAGECO the individual that answers the phone is ImageCo’s owner and designer, not a go-between that increases the price of your design project and dictates the terms of how we conduct business.

QUALITIES OF A POWERFUL LOGO DESIGN

It’s likely that every new Fayetteville company knows they probably need a logo, yet few new business owners entirely realize the essential role their company logo will perform in their success, or precisely why one logo functions more effectively than another. A company logo has an instant and long-term effect on the prosperity of a company, pick the correct one and it can make the door swing and cash register ring, select the incorrect one and it will be a barrier and a hindrance for the life of an organization. The logos featured in the ImageCo portfolio help Fayetteville businesses succeed, they are effective in any given circumstance and the main reason they are so effective is that they all have these five traits in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logo designs do not need scrutiny, they can be grasped in just a look.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to billboards a scalable logo will stay legible and just as emotive at any dimension.
  3. Versatility: logos which operate on any device, in print, on product packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they feel personal, and they are suitable for the product or business they brand.
  5. Relevance: a company logo needs to be timeless and will feel equally relevant today, tomorrow, and twenty five years from now.

understanding branding

Brand – It’s a verb and a noun, it’s an identifying mark and the act of marking something so that it could be identified, its genesis originates from the mark burned onto livestock. These days a brand signifies virtually anything with an intention, regardless of whether it be profit or politics, a brand is an intrinsic aspect of defining the worth of something in the public’s mind.

Branding – Is kind of like advertising and marketing’s attractive cousin, they are each from the very same family, the difference being that marketing and advertising are about making a promise and branding’s goal is to deliver on that promise. Branding is also a calculated popularity competition targeted at a target market, it’s goal is to create an image that the target market will likely connect to.

Brand Image – An image planted and nurtured through advertising and marketing and also identity design. When somebody mentions the brand names Porsche or Mustang what we think about is their brand image, it’s an image that exists in our minds. That image isn’t an image of a vehicle with 4 wheels that can move us from point A to point B, the image we have (or at least I have) is of speed, beauty, of something dangerous and sexy . That is brand image and brand image is what makes individuals buy those products. Brand image is why people purchase most things, from Nike to Adidas Chevy or Ford, Democrats or Republicans … all driven by brand images that we can relate to.

Branding Companies – If you reflect on the beginning of the majority of branding firms you’ll find that they are often re-branded marketing and advertising agencies. When somebody claims they are in marketing many people will likely have an idea about what they do. However when somebody states “I’m in branding”… it just seems more attractive, probably it’s because lots of people don’t recognize what it indicates to be in branding so it comes off as mysterious and kind of sexy.

Brand Identity – Is a comprehensive term that describes the visual aspects of a product or company that influence perceptions. This mostly consists of the name, the logo design, the packaging, the colors used however can also include audio, illumination, texture, signage, really anything that can be seen, touched or heard become part of a brand identity.

Brand Identity Designer
– A brand identity designer is a graphic designer that focuses on a kind of visual design that helps shape the image of a business, a product or a business. Brand identity designers create logo designs, signage designs, product packaging, as well as collateral material such as business cards, stationery, and brochures. Some identity designers also develop web sites and also user interfaces. The essential role of a brand identity designer is to create the visual cues as well as an emotional tone with the objective of affecting activities, end results and understandings.

Featured signs/logos

Retro logo layout of a bike produced for a Fayetteville coffee cafe and a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This start-up coffee roaster and cafe were actually opening up in an older part of the area and wished to cast a retro vibe without appearing as monotonous or low energy. I accomplished both jobs by means of designing a symbol concept that includes a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is antiquated, higher energy, and is a enduring business image.

medical logo design with a microscopic lense slide and also germs created for Fayetteville medical center.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the science which analyzes the causes and outcomes of diseases, especially the branch of healthcare that deals with the laboratory evaluation of samplings of human body cellular material for diagnostic or forensic intents.

The Mid-Valley Pathology brand I came up with is the only instance I call to mind where I was able to incorporate a bacteria-laden microscope slide right into a business logo design.

Generally I attempt not to be overly literal with a concept and to a degree, this specific design approaches the company it represents very literally, but it does it in a fashion that integrates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as a description of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancement to the name that helps make it more interesting, more attention grabbing and much more memorable.

logo style with a jumping green frog designed for a household enjoyable facility in Fayetteville.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a really fun project to work on, probably because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the norm of the sorts of jobs that come my way, I’ve done dozens of logo designs for medical professionals, dental offices, and legal professionals but Cool Springz is without question the only trampoline park which I have actually ever gotten the opportunity to work on.

Given that the full name of the business has the word springz in its name the clear choice would have been to include a handful of springs into the design but Cool Springz is a fun destination to go and spring doesn’t really resonate an atmosphere of fun does it. My thought process on this logo project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, inevitably I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the name itself to give the logo a better enthusiastic high energy feel.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my design and named the frog Jax and integrated him in to everything they used for promotion and marketing. I also think this is the only time that a logo I created was transformed into a mascot when they had an employee costume fashioned to look exactly like my frog design.

digital photography logo featuring a flock of birds, a hill, a trail, a stream, and a tree - developed for Fayetteville traveling photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo job I took on for a travel photographer, which is a fairly specialized field of photography and I think it is a niche field because travel photographers don’t shoot locations or things but rather communicate emotional experiences through the pictures they record. The idea behind this logo composition was to make use of negative space to reveal more than what was visible upon initial view, which I think is quintessential of almost all professional photographers in that they frequently share whole stories using their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a thousand words but I think that some photographs convey a lot more than that because their photos often have an emotional resonance that can’t be conveyed with just words. I tried to do something much the same to this logo design by making use of the positive space in the design to suggest one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was communicated through the first impression. I think, in looking back, that my goal was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Fayetteville logo but also to show the depth to her art and in the way that she sees the world through the lens of her camera.

Fayetteville logo design with a seagull utilized for the letter A. Designed for a wireless retail company.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The lion’s share of custom logo design jobs that I take on I honestly enjoy and the Coastal Wireless design was one that I certainly felt good about, but the client didn’t quite share my excitement for it. I felt really good about the concept of using the seagull silhouette as a stroke in the letter A but the customer, even though he loved the concept, really did not care for my choice of birds. This particular man seriously despised seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, fortunately the rest of his family members didn’t share his contempt for this particular kind of sea bird.

When I turn a design over to a client I urge all of them to talk about it with friends and family as well as with other people that they don’t even know so as to get unbiased judgements on the value of a design concept. Fortunately, he discussed it with his family and they really liked the design and were able to reason with him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to incorporate every other seabird he could think of … ultimately I was able to talk him out of his preference of a pelican and he went with the original concept.

Logos are a weird creature in the design world given that the people that tend to hire an expert to design their business logo understand how vital a logo is for their organization so they are much more invested in the result. Every logo design project possesses it’s portion of difficulties, but the largest obstacle is finding that sweet spot in a design that functions really well at the task it’s required to do in branding a company and also providing the client the identity they see for themselves.

a red panda logo layout with bamboo in the background, design for Fayetteville book publisher

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a narrow segment of real estate to work with, nevertheless it is the most crucial part of a published book considering that it is in most cases the primary thing a person views in the book store. Concerning a publisher, it’s the optimal opportunity that they will likely ever have to advertise their product and get their logo design in front of the people that purchase actual books.

This three color design is vivid, colorful and eye-catching and it gives plenty of space for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo design designed for an airline in Los Angeles, the logo design has two letter A's with the bars modified to indicate they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines arrive and depart nevertheless it seems that in many instances one of the items individuals tend to recollect the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a smaller startup commuter/shuttle airline company based in LA and while I’m not sure it really “took off” their custom logo didn’t ground them. The bookend A’s in their name lent itself well to affording a spirit of flight and it was undoubtedly a victory.

Fayetteville logo layout utilized for advertising and marketing and also a label layout for Vintage Case features an old font design.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case focused in all new cases for musical instruments, which looked to be much older cases. For this logo concept I strove to come up with a logo that possessed a fluid nostalgic feel to it and could be utilized for anything from a web page to a label on brand new cases that appeared like they were from another point in time.

Logo design produced for an orthodontist in Fayetteville, design include an arc with lines converging via it to imply steel braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dentistry business logos can easily be one of the most difficult logo jobs considering that it appears that every dental professional incorporates a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dental logos are one of the very most cliche ridden careers when it comes to company marketing, if restaurants approached their advertising in the very same way dental professionals do every one of their logos would definitely be a picture trying to explain anything they served, McDonalds would likely contain an image of a potato and a cow.

I recognize the thinking behind adding an illustration of something mouth associated to a dentist’s logo design nevertheless it has to be performed subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dentists logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental care industry.

I really enjoy doing dental care logos simply because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies dentistry or a particular area of dental treatment like orthodontics without resorting to the clichéd approach that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics provided such an opportunity and subsequently I created a design that doesn’t have a single smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t overt, they are still suggested in the concept. When I turned this concept over to the client the only smile that was obvious was actually the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo design created for a family members nonprofit, the logo design includes 4 characters surprised in elevation to stand for a family with in the layout.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation reached out to ImageCo to help them come up with a brand identity design that would be illustrative of the devotion that William McNally had for the residents in his community. Most logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain portrayals of a happy family, a cliche heavy approach to any logo design is to be far too literal pertaining to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve discovered that the best concepts are the ones that are downplayed and don’t hit the viewer on the head with what the business or institution wants to convey.

The McNally Foundation’s name presented a distinct opportunity to do a logo design which communicated that they were about families without being openly corny about it. The objective of a logo design is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer makes an effort to use the logo to explain specifically how individuals ought to think or feel they don’t understand the mission of a logo. If viewers have to think about a logo to understand what it means, it has failed, a logo needs to be instantly understood and a logo design that explains itself won’t have the chance to be comprehended.

Logo layout developed for a Fayetteville hair layout studio featuring a script font a hummingbird and also a suggested orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios required a company logo that communicated a sense of contentment and class for their new hair salon. I created a concept which did not go the obvious route of creating merely a stylized orchid but alternatively delivered a logo design which implied a flower in the formation of a swirl blended into the letter O in the name and by putting emphasis on the logo design along with the silhouette of a hummingbird floating over the logo itself. The obvious path in creating a logo design is more often than not the wrong course and in this case, the design ended up not being about the orchid but alternately placed the emphasis on the feeling that they really wanted to project to their clients.

Arabian steed logo design developed for an equine ranch that specializes in reproducing Arabian program steeds.

Dazzo Arabians | Logo Design

ImageCo developed a unique creative logo concept fashioned to manifest the unique physical traits of the Arabian breed of horses. By having an identifiable head form and high tail carriage, the Arabian is one of the highly quite easily identifiable equine lineages in the entire world.

Las Cafe, A Fayetteville restaurant logo style a small dining establishment, layout contains a modified manuscript font style which hovers over a team of elaborate lines as well as dots.

Las Cafe | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

Las Cafe logo layout a little dining establishment, design consists of a modified script font which floats above a group of ornate lines and dots.

Logo design for a software application programmer the layout functions and also iconic Fayetteville element of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the central component of an operating system (OS). Traditionally, the kernel is responsible for memory management, process and task management, and hard drive managing. The kernel unites the system hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that performs as a bridge between the software program and computer hardware.

The logo design I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is situated a number of miles from the offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to describe anything to anyone about what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. However it symbolized something to the owner of the business and in quite a few cases the meaning behind a company logo is just as important as how it brands the business it represents.

Develop logo style developed for a Fayettevilleinterior designer, design function a collection of red circles that converge and also replace the letter O in the middle of the logo layout.

Evolv Interior Design | Logo Design | Branding

Evolv Design is a Fayetteville interior design company and this logo design is representational of the work that an interior designer does in. An interior designer is someone who plans, investigates, coordinates, and oversees such projects. Interior design is a diverse occupation that consists of conceptual development, space planning, site evaluations, programming, research study, corresponding with the stakeholders of a project, building and construction management, and execution of the design.

logo style done for Advanced Leadership Solutions in Fayetteville, the personalities for letter V as well as A in middle of words advanced have actually been modified to link straight right into words listed below.

Advanced Leadership Solutions | Logo Design | Website Design

This Fayetteville logo design assignment was completed for a management guide that aids business professionals to develop into more successful at supervising people, expectations, and productivity.

A Fayetteville business logo style including a fisherman in the center of the name casting a fly towards the audience.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brands like Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in over 7 billion a year selling goods and equipment to outdoor sporting fans the founders of On the Fly knew the market place was prepared for an outdoor sporting merchant that functions as a consignment business. Whether or not you are into boating, sportfishing or rock climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly provides a destination for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all sorts of passions, a location to market their previously owned goods to other sports enthusiasts.

I designed their Fayetteville logo design utilizing a graphic which garners the attention of traffic and sends an image that evokes the passion of the outdoors. With traffic that averages forty five miles per hour I knew it would take more than the typical logo/sign to get travelers to take notice, hence the illustration of a fly fisherman in his natural and serene habitat.

Logo layout MQ ranches, this Fayetteville company logo layout has a field integrated into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms emblem design wasn’t actually composed for an Fayetteville area farm it was really devised for a products broker, and this brand was one of many which fell underneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The aim was actually to make an identity that projected esteem, effectiveness, and wealth.

Fayetteville Logo design for a not-for-profit, Transforming Factor Solutions - the logo layout attribute for externally dealing with arrowhead and the arrowheads indicate that it is a diamond form.

Turning Point Foundation | Logo Design

The Turning Point Foundation was entirely open to what kind of logo design they would like, this can be a good thing or a bad thing. Good in that it gives a designer the opportunity to delve into any concept that comes to mind, bad in that it’s tricky to hit a bullseye without recognizing where the target is. Fortunately, in this instance, I nailed a bullseye with the 1st shot.

Logo design made for using a sign for the restaurant (Brewgrrs), it is an elaborate manuscript font that is evocative a renowned Fayetteville sporting activities team logo design.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I have crafted dozens of restaurant logos and establishment signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments, and eateries all over the US, from cupcake bake shops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I think Brewgrrs was my favorite. Brewgrrs was a neat undertaking in which I worked directly with the proprietor to create a logo that worked extremely well and did a fantastic job to brand them, it worked on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the neon sign that hung above their doors, and was highly visible and very legible from over a block away.
