Springdale, Arkansas Logo Design

Each and every new Springdale business understands that they require a logo, but few new business owners thoroughly comprehend the key role their logo design can perform in their becoming successful, or exactly why one logo functions more effectively than another. A business logo has an instant and lasting influence on the success of a business, select the right one and it can make the door swing and cash register ring, choose the wrong one and it can be an obstacle and a hindrance for the life of a company.

The logos included in the ImageCo portfolio help Springdale, Arkansas businesses prosper, they are effective in any given circumstance and the reason they are so effective is that they all have these 5 traits in common.

  1. Simplicity: simple logos do not demand scrutiny, they can be understood in just a glimpse.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to signboards a scalable logo design will continue to be legible and just as emotive at virtually any dimension.
  3. Versatility: logos that operate on any type of device, in print, on packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball-cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are exclusive, and they are suitable for the enterprise they stand for.
  5. Relevance: a business logo must be timeless and should feel relevant today, tomorrow, and thirty years from now.

Logo PORTFOLIO Volume 1

Retro logo design of a bicycle produced for a Springdale, Arkansas coffee cafe and also a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This startup coffee roaster and coffeehouse were actually opening in an old section of the city and wanted to visualize a vintage vibe without coming across as boring or low energy. I achieved both tasks by developing a logo concept that incorporates a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is antiquated, higher energy, and is a classic business image.

clinical logo style with a microscopic lense slide as well as bacteria developed for Springdale, Arkansas clinical clinic.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the science that examines the causes and effects of diseases, especially the field of healthcare which works with the clinical evaluation of samples of body cellular material for diagnostic or forensic reasons.

The Mid-Valley Pathology custom logo design I came up with is really the only instance I recall in which I was able to incorporate a bacteria-laden microscope slide right into a business logo design.

Usually I try not to be excessively literal with a concept and to a degree, this specific design approaches the company it serves rather literally, yet it does it in a way that integrates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an explanation of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancer to the name that makes it more intriguing, more focus grabbing and more memorable.

logo design with a jumping eco-friendly frog made for a family members enjoyable facility in Springdale, Arkansas.

Cool Springs | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a very cool project to work on, most likely because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the norm of the types of projects that come my way, I’ve done dozens of logo designs for medical professionals, dental professionals, and lawyers but Cool Springz is without question the only trampoline park that I have actually ever had the privilege to work on.

Given that the full name of the company features the word springz in its name the obvious choice would have been to integrate a handful of springs into the concept but Cool Springz is a fun place to go and spring does not actually reflect an environment of fun does it. My thought process on this logo project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, in the end I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the title itself to give the logo a more enthusiastic high energy atmosphere.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my concept and named the frog Jax and incorporated him in to everything they used for advertising and marketing. I also think this is the only time that a logo I came up with was turned into a mascot when they had a staff member costume fabricated to look exactly like my frog design.

digital photography logo featuring a flock of birds, a hill, a trail, a stream, and also a tree - created for Springdale, Arkansas traveling digital photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo design project I took on for a travel photographer, which is a fairly specialized field of photography and I think it is a niche area due to the fact that travel photographers don’t capture places or things but instead communicate emotional journeys by means of the pictures they record. The thought behind this logo composition was to utilize negative space to project more than what was visible upon initial view, which I think is quintessential of the majority of good photographers in that they frequently tell entire stories using their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a thousand words but I think that some photographs convey considerably more than that because their photos often have an emotional resonance which can’t be revealed with just words. I attempted to do something very similar to this logo design by making use of the positive space in the design to suggest one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was communicated through the first impression. I think, in looking back, that my objective was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Springdale logo but also to illustrate the depth to her work and in the way that she sees the world through the lens of her camera.

Springdale logo style with a seagull utilized for the letter A. Designed for a cordless retail service.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The majority of logo design jobs that I take on I truly relish and the Coastal Wireless design was one that I really felt good about, but the client didn’t quite share my excitement for it. I felt really good about the concept of using the seagull form as a stroke in the letter A but my client, while he loved the concept, didn’t care for my choice of birds. This particular man really despised seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, fortunately the rest of his family didn’t share his hatred for this particular breed of sea bird.

When I turn a design over to a client I urge them to discuss it with friends and colleagues and family as well as with people that they don’t even know so as to get unbiased opinions on the merit of a design concept. Fortunately, he shared it with his whole family and they adored the design and were able to persuade him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to incorporate every other seabird he could think of … eventually I was able to talk him out of his choice of a pelican and he proceeded with the original concept.

Logos are a weird creature in the design world because the people that tend to hire a professional to design their logo design recognize how important a logo is for their business so they are much more vested in the end result. Every logo project possesses it’s allotment of challenges, however the biggest challenge is identifying that sweet spot in a design that functions really well at the job it’s required to do in branding a company and also providing the customer the image they see for themselves.

a red panda logo style with bamboo in the background, style for Springdale, Arkansas publication publisher

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a narrow segment of real estate to work with, nevertheless it really is the most necessary part of a published book since it is in most cases the very first thing a person sees in the book shop. For a publishing company, it’s the best opportunity they will ever get to advertise their label and get their logo design in front of the individuals that purchase actual books.

This three color design is vivid, colorful and eye-catching and it gives plenty of territory for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo design designed for an airline in Los Angeles, the logo has 2 letter A's with the bars modified to imply they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines arrive and depart however it seems that in many cases 1 of the items folks often tend to recall the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a young start-up commuter/shuttle airline located in LA and while I’m not sure it really “took off” their logo didn’t slow them. The bookend A’s in their brand lent itself well to imparting a spirit of airline flight and it was certainly a success.

Springdale logo layout used for advertising as well as a label style for Vintage Situation features an antiquated font style style.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in new cases for musical instruments, which looked to be antique cases. For this business logo concept I strove to come up with a logo that provided a fluid nostalgic feel to it and could easily be used for everything from a web page to an insignia on brand new cases that looked like they were from a different generation.

Logo produced for an orthodontist in Springdale, Arkansas, design consist of an arc with lines intersecting with it to suggest metal braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental care business logos can be one of the most challenging logo design jobs considering that it seems that each and every dental professional involves a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dentistry logo designs are one of the most cliche ridden professions when it comes to business branding, if restaurants approached their advertising in the exact same way dental practices do every one of their company logos would definitely be a picture trying to explain anything they served, McDonalds would most likely contain an image of a potato and a cow.

I understand the thinking behind including a likeness of something mouth associated to a dentist’s logo design but it has to be performed subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dentists logo that litter the branding landscape of the dentistry profession.

I actually enjoy doing dental business logos because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies the field of dentistry or a particular area of dental treatment like orthodontics without resorting to the stereotypical solution that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics offered such an opportunity and subsequently I created a design that doesn’t have a solitary smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t obvious, they are still suggested in the concept. When I turned this concept over to the customer the only smile that was apparent was actually the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo design made for a family nonprofit, the logo design features 4 characters staggered in height to stand for a family unit with in the design.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation contacted ImageCo to help them come up with a custom logo design that would be representative of the love that William McNally had for the residents in his city. Most logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain images of a happy family, a cliche heavy technique to any logo design is to be overly literal pertaining to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve found that the best concepts are the ones that are downplayed and never hit the viewer on the head with what the business or institution wants to communicate.

The McNally Foundation’s name provided a distinct opportunity to do a logo which conveyed that they were about families without being overtly cheesy about it. The goal of a logo is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer attempts to use the logo design to summarize how individuals ought to think or feel they don’t understand the objective of a logo. If people have to think about a logo design to understand what it means, it has been in vain, a logo needs to be immediately understood and a logo design that describes itself will never have the opportunity to be comprehended.

Logo style developed for a hair style workshop including a script font a hummingbird and also a suggested orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios desired a logo design which conveyed a feeling of serenity and connection for their new hair salon. I came up with a concept that did not go the obvious path of crafting simply a stylized orchid but rather delivered a company logo that implied an orchid in the formation of a swirl incorporated into the letter O in the name and by placing attention on the logo design along with the figure of a hummingbird floating over the logo design itself. The obvious path in designing a business logo is generally the wrong course and in this case, the design ended up not being about the orchid but instead laid the importance on the feeling that they wanted to forecast to their customers.

Logo style for a software program designer the design functions and iconic aspect of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the central part of an operating system (OS). Typically, the kernel is responsible for memory management, process and task control, and hard drive operations. The kernel links the computer hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that serves as a bridge between the software program and hardware.

The logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is situated a few miles from the business offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to describe anything to anyone regarding what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. However, it symbolized something to the owner of the company and in quite a few cases the symbolism supporting a business logo is equally as important as how it brands the enterprise it stands for.

A logo style including an angler in the middle of the name casting a fly in the direction of the customer.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brands like Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in over 7 billion a year retailing supplies and equipment to outdoor sporting enthusiasts the owners of On the Fly understood the market was primed for an outdoor sporting merchant that operates as a consignment company. Whether you are into boating, angling or mountain climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly presents a venue for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all sorts of interests, a spot to sell off their pre-owned items to other sports enthusiasts. I designed their Springdale logo dsign with an image which grabs the attention of vehicles and sends an image that invokes the passion of the outdoors. With traffic that averages 45 miles per hour I realized it would take more than the average logo/sign to get travelers to take notice, hence the image of a fly fisherman in his natural and peaceful habitat.
Logo style MQ farms, this logo design has actually an area incorporated into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms business logo design wasn’t really produced for an Springdale, Arkansas regional farm it was actually developed for an investments broker, and this logo design was one of many that fell beneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The goal was really to design an identity that projects self-confidence, effectiveness, and wealth.

Springdale Logo design for a nonprofit, Transforming Factor Solutions - the logo style attribute for outwardly encountering arrowhead and the arrowheads indicate that it is a diamond shape.

Turning Point Foundation | Logo Design

The Turning Point Foundation was completely open to what kind of logo design that they wanted, this can be a good thing or a bad thing. Good in that it gives a designer the liberty to delve into any idea that comes to mind, bad in that it’s challenging to hit a bullseye without knowing where exactly the target is. Fortunately, in this particular case, I nailed a bullseye with the very first shot.

Logo design designed for making use of an indication for the dining establishment (Brewgrrs), it is an elaborate manuscript typeface that is evocative a popular sporting activities group logo.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I’ve created loads of restaurant custom logo designs and establishment signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the United States, from cupcake bake shops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I believe Brewgrrs was my favorite. Brewgrrs was a great undertaking in which I worked directly with the business owner to design a business logo that worked very well and did a fantastic job to brand them, it functioned on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the illuminated signage that hung over their doors, and was highly visible and very legible from over a block away.
