Apple Valley, California Logo Design

Nearly every new Apple Valley company realizes that they are in need of a logo, but few new business owners thoroughly recognize the crucial role their logo design can make in their success, or precisely why one logo design functions more effectively than another. A business logo has an immediate and long-term effect on the growth of a business, pick the right one and it can make the door swing and phone ring, go with the wrong one and it can be an obstacle and an impediment for the life span of a business.

The logos included in the ImageCo portfolio help Apple Valley, California companies prosper, they are effective in any given scenario and the reason they are so effective is that they all have these five traits in common.

  1. Simplicity: simple logos do not demand contemplation, they can be understood in merely a look.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to movie screens a scalable logo design will be legible and just as emotive at virtually any dimension.
  3. Versatility: logos which function on any device, in print, on product packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball-cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are exclusive, and they are suitable for the organization they represent.
  5. Relevance: a business logo must be timeless and will feel as relevant today, tomorrow, and twenty years from now.
Retro logo style of a bicycle produced for a Apple Valley, California coffee cafe and a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This budding coffee roaster and coffeehouse were launching in an old part of the community and hoped to cast a retro feel without appearing as uninteresting or low energy. I fulfilled both tasks via designing a sign concept that uses a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is old-fashioned, high energy, and is a ageless business image.

medical logo layout with a microscope slide as well as germs made for Apple Valley, California clinical clinic.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the science which analyzes the causes and consequences of diseases, especially the branch of healthcare which deals with the laboratory evaluation of samples of body tissue for diagnostic or forensic purposes.

The Mid-Valley Pathology logo I came up with is the sole instance I recall where I was in a position to integrate a bacteria-laden microscope slide right into a business logo design.

Generally I try not to be excessively literal with a design and to a point, this specific design approaches the company it represents fairly literally, however it does it in a fashion that incorporates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an illustration of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancer to the brand that helps make it more appealing, more attention grabbing and much more meaningful.

logo design with a leaping green frog designed for a household enjoyable center in Apple Valley, California.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a really fun project to work on, most likely because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s additionally a project that is way out of the norm of the types of projects which come my way, I’ve produced dozens of logo designs for physicians, dental experts, and lawyers but Cool Springz is without question the one and only trampoline park which I have ever gotten the opportunity to work on.

Given that the name of the company features the word springz in its name the apparent choice would have been to incorporate a couple springs into the design but Cool Springz is a fun destination to go and spring doesn’t actually resonate an environment of fun does it. My thought process on this logo project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, eventually I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the title itself to provide the logo a better lively high energy impression.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my design and named the frog Jax and incorporated him in to everything they utilized for marketing and advertising. I also believe this is the only time that a logo I created was turned into a mascot when they had a staff member costume fashioned to look exactly like my frog design.

photography logo design featuring a group of birds, a hill, a route, a stream, and also a tree - developed for Apple Valley, California travel digital photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a custom logo design job I took on for a travel photographer, which is a fairly specialized field of photography and I think it is a niche sector due to the fact that travel photographers tend not to capture places or things but rather reveal emotional journeys through the images they capture. The idea behind this logo concept was to utilize negative space to reveal more than what was visible upon first view, which I think is representative of most professional photographers in that they frequently convey entire stories using their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a thousand words but I think that some photographs convey a lot more than that because their photos frequently have an emotional fullness that can’t be conveyed with just words. I made an effort to do something very similar to this logo by employing the positive space in the design to suggest one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was communicated through the first impression. I think, in hindsight, that my objective was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Apple Valley logo but also to illustrate the depth in her art and in the way that she perceives the world through the lens of her camera.

Apple Valley logo design with a seagull made use of for the letter A. Designed for a wireless retail company.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The lion’s share of logo design projects that I take on I truly relish and the Coastal Wireless design was one that I really felt good about, but the client didn’t quite share my excitement for it. I felt really good about the idea of using the seagull form as a stroke in the character A but my client, even though he liked the concept, really did not care for my choice of birds. This guy really hated seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, thankfully the rest of his family members did not share his scorn for this specific breed of sea bird.

When I turn a design over to a client I urge all of them to discuss it with friends and family as well as with individuals that they don’t even know so as to get impartial assessments on the worthiness of a design. Fortunately, he discussed it with his family and they adored the concept and were able to reason with him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to include every other seabird he could think of … eventually I was able to talk him out of his preference of a pelican and he went with the original concept.

Business logos are a strange creature in the design world because the people that have a tendency to hire an expert to design their logo comprehend how essential a logo is for their company so they are much more vested in the result. Every logo design job possesses it’s share of challenges, but the greatest obstacle is identifying that sweet spot in a design that operates really well at the job it’s required to do in branding a company and also providing the client the image they see for themselves.

a red panda logo layout with bamboo in the background, style for Apple Valley, California publication publisher

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a thin slice of real estate to work with, however it is the most crucial part of a published book considering that it is in most cases the primary thing a person sees in the bookstore. For a publishing company, it’s the opportunity that they will likely ever get to promote their product and get their logo design in front of the people that buy actual books.

This three color design is vibrant, picturesque and eye-catching and it leaves plenty of area for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo design designed for an airline company in Los Angeles, the logo design has 2 letter A's with benches modified to suggest they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines come and go nevertheless it seems that in many instances 1 of the items folks often tend to recollect the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a young new venture commuter/shuttle airline company situated in LA and while I’m not sure it actually “took off” their custom logo didn’t ground them. The bookend A’s in their name lent itself well to conferring a feeling of air travel and it was surely a winner.

Apple Valley logo design utilized for advertising and a tag style for Vintage Case includes an archaic font style style.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in new cases for musical instruments, which appeared to be much older cases. For this custom logo design I sought to come up with a logo that had a fluid nostalgic feel to it and could easily be utilized for every thing from a web page to an insignia on brand new cases that appeared like they were from a different point in time.

Logo developed for an orthodontist in Apple Valley, California, layout include an arc with lines converging via it to suggest steel dental braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental care logo designs can be one of the most difficult logo projects considering that it appears that virtually every dental professional includes a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dental logo designs are one of the most cliche ridden careers when it comes to business marketing, if dining establishments approached their advertising in the same way dental professionals do every one of their company logos would be a picture explaining anything they served, McDonalds would likely contain an image of a potato and a cow.

I recognize the thinking behind including an image of something mouth associated to a dentist’s logo design but it has to be performed subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dental professionals logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental profession.

I actually love doing dental care business logos simply because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies the field of dentistry or a certain area of the field of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the clichéd approach that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics provided such an opportunity and ultimately I created a layout that doesn’t have a solitary smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t overt, they are still suggested in the design. When I turned this concept over to the customer the only smile that was apparent was actually the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo designed for a family not-for-profit, the logo design features 4 personalities startled in elevation to stand for a family unit with in the style.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation reached out to ImageCo to help them come up with a brand identity design that would be representative of the love that William McNally had for the people residing in his city. The majority of logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain images of a happy family, a cliche heavy technique to any logo design is to be overly literal pertaining to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve found that the best designs are the ones that are downplayed and never hit the viewer on the head with what the business or organization wishes to convey.

The McNally Foundation’s name presented a unique opportunity to do a custom logo design which conveyed that they were about families without being overtly tacky about it. The intention of a logo design is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer tries to use the logo design to illustrate specifically how individuals ought to think or feel they don’t understand the mission of a logo. If people have to think about a logo design to understand what it means, it has failed, a logo needs to be instantly understood and a logo design that explains itself will never have the likelihood to be understood.

Logo layout produced for a hair design studio featuring a manuscript font a hummingbird as well as a suggested orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios needed a business logo which related a spirit of serenity and connection for their new hair salon. I created a concept which did not go the obvious direction of designing just a stylized orchid but alternatively crafted a logo that implied an orchid in the pattern of a swirl blended in to the letter O in the title and by putting emphasis on the concept using the figure of a hummingbird hovering above the logo itself. The obvious path in designing a logo is usually the incorrect path and in this case, the design ended up not being about the orchid but instead placed the attention on the feeling that they really wanted to transmit to their clients.

Logo design for a software application programmer the style functions as well as legendary element of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the principal component of an operating system (OS). Typically, the kernel is responsible for memory administration, process and task control, and disk operations. The kernel links the system hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that functions as a connection in between the software and hardware.

The business logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is located a couple of miles from the business offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to explain anything to anyone regarding what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. However it represented something to the owner of the business and in quite a few cases the meaning supporting a company logo is just as important as how it brands the enterprise it represents.

A logo style featuring a fisherman in the middle of the name casting a fly towards the visitor.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With companies like Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in over 7 billion a year retailing supplies and equipment to outdoor sporting lovers the founders of On the Fly knew the market was primed for an outdoor sporting store that functions as a consignment company. Whether or not you are into boating, fishing or mountain climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly presents a location for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all types of passions, a spot to sell off their previously owned goods to other sports enthusiasts. I created their Apple Valley business logo dsign using an image which seizes the interest of traffic and sends an image that invokes the passion of the outdoors. With traffic that averages 45 mph I knew it would take more than the typical logo/sign to get travelers to take notice, hence the image of a fly fisherman in his natural and tranquil habitat.
Logo style MQ farms, this logo layout has a field integrated right into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms logo idea wasn’t actually composed for an Apple Valley, California area farm it was really created for a products broker, and this brand was one of many which fell under the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The goal was to generate an identity that projected trust, effectiveness, and wealth.

Apple Valley Logo design for a not-for-profit, Transforming Point Solutions - the logo layout attribute for outwardly encountering arrow and also the arrowheads indicate that it is a diamond shape.

Turning Point Foundation | Logo Design

The Turning Point Foundation was completely open to what type of logo design they would like, this can be a good thing or a bad thing. Good in that it grants a designer the freedom to discover any concept that comes to mind, bad in that it’s challenging to hit a bullseye without recognizing where exactly the target is. Fortunately, in this particular case, I nailed a bullseye with the very first shot.

Logo design created for using an indicator for the dining establishment (Brewgrrs), it is an elaborate script font that is evocative a renowned sporting activities team logo.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I have crafted loads of restaurant custom logo designs and business signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments, and eateries all over the US, from cupcake bake shops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I believe Brewgrrs was my favorite. Brewgrrs was a great project in which I worked closely with the owner to develop a logo which worked extremely well and did a great job to brand them, it worked on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the illuminated sign that hung over their doors, and was highly visible and very easy to read from over a block away.
