Arden-Arcade Logo Design

Virtually every new Arden-Arcade venture realizes that they require a logo, but few entrepreneurs entirely recognize the pivotal role their organization logo will take in their financial success, or precisely why one logo design functions far better than another. A company logo has a critical and long term influence on the growth of a business, go with the correct one and it will make the door swing and cash register ring, go with the wrong one and it will be an obstacle and a hindrance for the life span of an organization. The logos included in the ImageCo portfolio help Arden-Arcade companies succeed, they are effective in any given situation and the main reason they are so effective is that they all have these 5 traits in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logos don’t demand scrutiny, they can be realized in merely a look.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to billboards a scalable logo will be legible and just as emotive at every scale.
  3. Versatility: logos that operate on any type of device, in print, on product packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are personal, and they are suitable for the enterprise they represent.
  5. Relevance: a business logo must be lasting and should feel relevant today, tomorrow, and twenty five years from now.

Retro logo design of a bicycle created for a Arden-Arcade coffee cafe and a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This fledgling coffee roaster and coffee bar were launching in an old section of the town and wanted to project a vintage atmosphere without appearing as monotonous or low energy. I achieved each of the jobs via developing a logo concept that includes a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is old-fashioned, higher energy, and is a enduring business image.

medical logo style with a microscope slide and also germs created for Arden-Arcade medical clinic.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the scientific discipline which analyzes the triggers and outcomes of diseases, mainly the branch of medicine that deals with the laboratory assessment of samples of human body tissue for diagnostic or forensic purposes.

The Mid-Valley Pathology brand I came up with is the only instance I recollect where I was able to incorporate a bacteria-laden microscope slide right into a logo design.

Generally I attempt not to be excessively literal with a design and to a point, this specific design approaches the company it serves fairly literally, however it does it in a fashion that integrates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an explanation of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancement to the name that helps make it more intriguing, more interest grabbing and even more memorable.

logo layout with a jumping eco-friendly frog created for a family members enjoyable center in Arden-Arcade.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a really fun project to work on, most likely because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the usual of the kinds of jobs which come my way, I’ve done dozens of logo designs for surgeons, dental professionals, and legal professionals but Cool Springz is without question the one and only trampoline park that I have ever had the opportunity to work on.

Given that the name of the business features the word springz in its name the clear choice would have been to integrate a couple springs into the design but Cool Springz is a fun location to go and spring doesn’t actually resonate an atmosphere of fun does it. My thought process on this logo design project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, in the end I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the title itself to give the logo a better enthusiastic high energy feel.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my design and named the frog Jax and integrated him in to everything they utilized for marketing and advertising. I also believe this is the only time that a logo I came up with was turned into a mascot when they had a staff member costume fashioned to look just like my frog design.

photography logo design featuring a group of birds, a mountain, a trail, a stream, and a tree - designed for Arden-Arcade travel photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo job I took on for a travel photographer, which is a fairly niche field of photography and I think it is a niche area because travel photographers tend not to shoot locations or things but rather communicate emotional experiences through the pictures they record. The idea behind this logo design was to make use of negative space to communicate more than what was visible upon first view, which I think is quintessential of most good photographers in that they frequently convey whole stories using their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a thousand words but I think that some photographs convey significantly more than that because their photos frequently have an emotional fullness that can’t be communicated with just words. I attempted to do something similar to this logo design by using the positive space in the design to suggest one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was conveyed through the first impression. I think, in hindsight, that my objective was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Arden-Arcade logo but also to show the depth in her art and in the way that she sees the world through the lens of her camera.

Arden-Arcade logo design with a seagull made use of for the letter A. Designed for a cordless retail organisation.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The lion’s share of logo design jobs that I take on I really take pleasure in and the Coastal Wireless assignment was one that I certainly felt good about, however the customer didn’t quite share my enthusiasm for it. I felt really good about the concept of using the seagull form as a stroke in the character A but the client, while he loved the concept, really did not care for my choice of birds. This particular man genuinely disliked seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, thankfully the rest of his family did not share his scorn for this particular breed of sea bird.

When I turn a design over to a client I urge them to talk about it with friends and colleagues and family as well as with people that they don’t actually know so as to get impartial opinions on the worthiness of a design. Fortunately, he shared it with his whole family and they loved the design and were able to reason with him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to insert every other seabird he could think of … eventually I was able to talk him out of his choice of a pelican and he proceeded with the original concept.

Logos are a weird animal in the design world given that the people that have a tendency to hire a professional to create their logo design realize how crucial a logo design is for their company so they are way more vested in the end result. Every logo job possesses it’s share of challenges, however the most significant challenge is identifying that sweet spot in a design that functions really well at the task it’s needed to do in branding a business and also providing the customer the image they see for themselves.

a red panda logo style with bamboo behind-the-scenes, layout for Arden-Arcade book author

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a thin piece of real estate to work with, however it really is the most important part of a printed book due to the fact that it is ordinarily the very first thing a person sees in the book store. Concerning a publishing company, it’s the best opportunity they will likely ever get to publicize their label and get their logo design in front of the people that buy actual books.

This 3 color design is vibrant, colorful and eye-catching and it gives plenty of space for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo design created for an airline in Los Angeles, the logo has 2 letter A's with the bars modified to suggest they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines come and go but it looks like that in many occurrences one of the items consumers tend to recall the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a young fledgling commuter/shuttle air service situated in LA and although I’m not sure it really “took off” their organization logo didn’t slow them. The bookend A’s in their title lent itself well to affording a feeling of air travel and it was undoubtedly a success.

Arden-Arcade logo design made use of for advertising as well as a tag style for Vintage Situation includes an antiquated font style style.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case focused in new cases for musical instruments, which appeared to be antique cases. For this brand concept I tried to come up with a logo that offered a fluid vintage feel to it and could easily be used for every thing from a web page to an insignia on brand new cases that seemed like they were from a different era.

Logo design produced for an orthodontist in Arden-Arcade, design include an arc with lines intersecting via it to imply metal braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental care logo designs can be one of the most challenging and difficult logo design jobs due to the fact that it seems that every single dental professional features a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dentistry business logos are one of the most cliche ridden professions when it comes to small business advertising, if restaurants approached their advertising in the very same way dentists do every one of their logo designs would be a picture trying to explain anything they served, McDonalds would likely have an image of a potato and a cow.

I understand the thinking behind adding a likeness of something mouth related to a dentist’s logo but it has to be performed subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dentists logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental care profession.

I really love doing dentistry logo designs simply because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies the field of dentistry or a specific area of dental treatment like orthodontics without resorting to the stereotypical approach that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics offered such an opportunity and ultimately I created a layout that doesn’t have a single smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t overt, they are still suggested in the concept. When I turned this particular design over to the customer the only smile that was evident was really the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo design made for a family members not-for-profit, the logo features 4 characters startled in elevation to stand for a family unit with in the style.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation reached out to ImageCo to help them come up with a logo that would be representative of the devotion that William McNally had for the folks in his city. Many logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain pictures of a happy family, a cliche heavy method to any logo design is to be overly literal with regards to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve discovered that the best concepts are the ones that are understated and never hit the viewer on the head with what the company or institution wants to convey.

The McNally Foundation’s name provided a unique opportunity to do a logo that conveyed that they were about families without being overtly corny about it. The intention of a logo design is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer tries to use the logo to describe exactly how people should think or feel they don’t understand the objective of a logo. If viewers have to consider a logo design to understand what it means, it has been in vain, a logo needs to be immediately understood and a logo design that describes itself won’t have the chance to be understood.

Logo design developed for a hair layout workshop featuring a manuscript font a hummingbird and a suggested orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios desired a business logo that communicated a feeling of relaxation and elegance for their new hair salon. I created a design which didn’t go the obvious path of making simply a stylized orchid but rather crafted a logo which implied an orchid in the pattern of a swirl incorporated into the letter O in the name and by placing attention on the logo design along with the silhouette of a hummingbird floating over the logo itself. The obvious path in creating a business logo is generally the wrong direction and in this case, the design ended up not being about the flower but alternately laid the emphasis on the perception that they wanted to project to their patrons.

Arabian steed logo design developed for a horse ranch that focuses on reproducing Arabian program steeds.

Dazzo Arabians | Logo Design

Logo design for a software program programmer the layout functions as well as famous element of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the central part of an operating system (OS). Traditionally, the kernel is responsible for memory management, process and task management, and hard drive operations. The kernel attaches the system hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that functions as a connection in between the software program and computer hardware.

The logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is located a few miles from the offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to describe anything to anyone about what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. Nevertheless it meant something to the owner of the company and in quite a few cases the symbolism supporting a company logo is just as important as how it serves the business it stands for.

Advance logo layout created for a Arden-Arcade indoor developer, style feature a collection of red circles that intersect and change the letter O in the center of the logo design.

Evolv Interior Design | Logo Design | Branding

A logo layout including a fisherman in the center of the name casting a fly in the direction of the customer.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With companies like Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in over 7 billion a year offering supplies and equipment to outdoor sporting lovers the founders of On the Fly understood the market was primed for an outdoor sporting retailer that operates as a consignment business. Whether you are into boating, fishing or rock climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly provides a destination for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all sorts of interests, a spot to sell off their secondhand goods to other sports enthusiasts. I tailored their Arden-Arcade logo design dsign utilizing a graphic that garners the attention of traffic and projects an image that invokes the passion of the outdoors. With traffic that averages forty five mph I knew it would take more than the typical logo/sign to get commuters to take notice, hence the picture of a fly fisherman in his natural and peaceful habitat.
Logo style MQ farms, this logo design has an area integrated into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms company logo concept wasn’t actually created for an Arden-Arcade regional farm it was really created for an investments broker, and this trademark was one of a handful of that fell beneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The goal was to generate a graphic that projected esteem, effectiveness, and luxury.
Logo designed for using an indicator for the dining establishment (Brewgrrs), it is an elaborate manuscript typeface that is evocative a popular sports team logo.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I have created quite a lot of restaurant custom logo designs and business signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the USA, from cupcake bake shops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I believe Brewgrrs was my absolute favorite. Brewgrrs was a great undertaking in which I worked closely with the owner to create a business logo which worked extremely well and did a great job to brand them, it worked on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the lighted signage which hung over their doors, and was highly visible and very legible from over a block away.
