Arroyo Grande Logo Design

Each and every new Arroyo Grande business understands that they require a logo, but few entrepreneurs entirely understand the essential role their logo will perform in their financial success, or precisely why one logo design functions more effectively than another. A logo has a critical and long-term effect on the success of a company, choose the correct one and it can make the door swing and cash register ring, select the incorrect one and it can be an obstacle and an impediment for the longevity of an organization. The logos included in the ImageCo portfolio help Arroyo Grande companies succeed, they are effective in any given scenario and the reason why they are so effective is that they all have these 5 traits in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logos don’t demand contemplation, they can be understood in just a look.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to billboards a scalable business logo will remain legible and equally emotive at virtually any size.
  3. Versatility: logos that operate on any type of device, in print, on product packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are exclusive, and they are suitable for the enterprise they represent.
  5. Relevance: a business logo needs to be timeless and should feel relevant today, tomorrow, and twenty years from now.

Retro logo design of a bike developed for a Arroyo Grande coffee cafe and also a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This start-up coffee roaster and bistro were opening in an older section of the community and hoped to visualize a nostalgic tone without appearing as boring or low energy. I accomplished each of the jobs by means of developing a sign concept that contains a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is antiquated, high energy, and is a enduring business image.

medical logo design with a microscope slide and also germs made for Arroyo Grande medical clinic.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the science which examines the root causes and consequences of diseases, mainly the field of medicine that deals with the clinical assessment of specimens of body tissue for diagnostic or forensic reasons.

The Mid-Valley Pathology logo I came up with is really the sole instance I remember where I was in a position to incorporate a bacteria-laden microscope slide into a logo design.

Usually I try not to be overly literal with a concept and to a degree, this specific design approaches the company it represents very literally, but it does it in a way that incorporates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an illustration of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancement to the name that makes it more intriguing, more interest grabbing and even more unforgettable.

logo design with a leaping green frog made for a household fun center in Arroyo Grande.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a really fun project to work on, most likely because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s additionally a project that is way out of the usual of the types of jobs which come my way, I’ve produced dozens of logo designs for doctors, dentists, and attorneys but Cool Springz is without question the one and only trampoline park which I have actually ever gotten the privilege to work on.

Given that the name of the business has the word springz in its name the obvious choice would have been to integrate a handful of springs into the concept but Cool Springz is a fun destination to go and spring does not really reflect an environment of fun does it. My thought process on this logo design project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, ultimately I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the title itself to provide the logo a more enthusiastic high energy atmosphere.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my design and named the frog Jax and featured him in to everything they utilized for marketing. I also think this is the only time that a logo I did was transformed into a mascot when they had an employee costume fabricated to look just like my frog design.

digital photography logo featuring a group of birds, a mountain, a path, a stream, as well as a tree - developed for Arroyo Grande travel digital photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo design job I took on for a travel photographer, which is a rather niche field of photography and I believe it is a niche profession because travel photographers don’t shoot locations or things but rather convey emotional journeys through the pictures they record. The idea behind this logo design was to use negative space to project more than what was visible upon first view, which I think is representative of almost all good photographers in that they often tell entire stories using their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a 1000 words but I think that some photographs convey much more than that because their photos often have an emotional resonance that can’t be communicated with just words. I attempted to do something the same to this logo design by utilizing the positive space in the design to say one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was communicated through the first impression. I think, in looking back, that my goal was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Arroyo Grande logo but also to reveal the depth in her art and in the way that she views the world through the lens of her camera.

Arroyo Grande logo style with a seagull utilized for the letter A. Designed for a cordless retail business.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The majority of logo design projects that I take on I seriously savor and the Coastal Wireless assignment was one that I certainly felt good about, however the client didn’t quite share my enthusiasm for it. I felt really good about the concept of using the seagull shape as a stroke in the letter A but my client, while he liked the concept, really did not care for my choice of birds. This guy seriously disliked seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, thankfully the rest of his family members did not share his hatred for this specific type of sea bird.

When I turn a concept over to a customer I encourage all of them to discuss it with friends and family members as well as with people that they don’t actually know so as to get honest opinions on the worthiness of a design. Fortunately, he shared it with his family members and they really loved the design and were able to persuade him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to insert every other seabird he could think of … ultimately I was able to talk him out of his choice of a pelican and he proceeded with the original concept.

Business logos are a weird animal in the design world given that the people that are inclined to hire an expert to create their business logo comprehend how important a logo design is for their business so they are much more invested in the result. Every logo design job has it’s share of difficulties, but the largest challenge is identifying that sweet spot in a design that works really well at the job it’s needed to do in branding a business and also giving the client the image they see for themselves.

a red panda logo layout with bamboo in the background, style for Arroyo Grande book author

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a slender parcel of real estate to work with, yet it is the most necessary part of a printed book considering that it is in most cases the primary thing a person views in the bookstore. Concerning a publisher, it’s the most ideal opportunity that they will likely ever have to publicize their product and get their logo design in front of the individuals that shop for actual books.

This three color design is vibrant, colorful and eye-catching and it gives plenty of space for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo design created for an airline company in Los Angeles, the logo design has 2 letter A's with the bars changed to indicate they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines come and go but it seems that in many occurrences 1 of the items folks tend to recall the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a small startup commuter/shuttle airline company located in LA and while I’m not sure it really “took off” their business logo didn’t slow them. The bookend A’s in their name lent itself well to imparting a spirit of air travel and it was surely a winner.

Arroyo Grande logo layout made use of for marketing and a tag style for Vintage Instance features an old font layout.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case focused in all new cases for musical instruments, that seemed to be older cases. For this logo design I attempted to come up with a logo that possessed a fluid old-fashioned feel to it and could easily be used for every thing from a website to a label on brand new cases that seemed like they were from a different point in time.

Logo design created for an orthodontist in Arroyo Grande, layout consist of an arc with lines intersecting through it to indicate metal dental braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental care business logos can easily be one of the most difficult logo projects due to the fact that it seems that every single dentist integrates a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dental logos are one of the most cliche ridden fields when it comes to company advertising, if restaurants approached their advertising in the same way dental practitioners do every one of their logos would be a picture trying to explain something they served, McDonalds would most likely include an image of a potato and a cow.

I understand the thinking behind including a likeness of something mouth related to a dentist’s logo design but it has to be done subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dentists logo that litter the branding landscape of the dentistry industry.

I really love doing dentist business logos because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies the field of dentistry or a certain field of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the clichéd course of action that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics provided such an opportunity and inevitably I created a design that doesn’t have a solitary smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t obvious, they are still implied in the design. When I turned this concept over to the customer the only smile that was evident was really the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo developed for a family members not-for-profit, the logo features 4 characters surprised in elevation to stand for a family unit with in the layout.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation reached out to ImageCo to help them come up with a brand identity design that would be depictive of the devotion that William McNally had for the residents in his community. Many logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain images of a happy family, a cliche heavy approach to any logo design is to be very literal pertaining to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve found that the best designs are the ones that are downplayed and never hit the viewer on the head with what the business or institution wishes to relate.

The McNally Foundation’s name provided a unique opportunity to do a logo design that communicated that they were about families without being overtly corny about it. The goal of a logo is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer attempts to use the logo to explain precisely how people should think or feel they don’t understand the goal of a logo. If viewers have to ponder a logo to understand what it means, it has been in vain, a logo needs to be immediately understood and a logo that describes itself will never have the opportunity to be comprehended.

Logo design created for a hair style studio including a manuscript font a hummingbird and also a suggested orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios needed a company logo that related an atmosphere of relaxation and class for their new hair salon. I came up with a concept which did not go the obvious course of creating simply a stylized orchid but rather delivered a business logo that implied a flower in the formation of a swirl incorporated in to the letter O in the name and by putting emphasis on the logo design along with the silhouette of a hummingbird hovering above the image itself. The obvious path in creating a company logo is frequently the wrong direction and in this case, the design ended up not being about the flower but instead laid the focus on the emotion that they really wanted to forecast to their clients.

Dazzo Arabians | Logo Design

Logo layout for a software application designer the layout attributes and iconic component of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the central component of an operating system (OS). Typically, the kernel is responsible for memory management, process and task management, and hard drive managing. The kernel attaches the system hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that operates as a bridge between the software and hardware.

The business logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is situated a number of miles from the business offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to explain anything to anyone about what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. However it symbolized something to the business owner of the company and in many cases the meaning supporting a company logo is equally as important as how it brands the company it stands for.

A logo design featuring a fisherman in the middle of the name casting a fly in the direction of the audience.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brand names like Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in more than 7 billion a year offering goods and equipment to outdoor sporting lovers the founders of On the Fly knew the market place was primed for an outdoor sporting store that operates as a consignment firm. Whether or not you are into boating, fishing or mountain climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly provides a destination for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all types of passions, a place to sell their pre-owned goods to other sports enthusiasts. I designed their Arroyo Grande logo design dsign along with an illustration that grabs the interest of vehicles and projects an image that wakens the enthusiasm of the outdoors. With visitor traffic that averages forty five miles per hour I knew it would take more than the average logo/sign to get travelers to take notice, hence the illustration of a fly fisherman in his natural and tranquil habitat.
Logo design MQ ranches, this logo style has an area integrated right into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms brand idea wasn’t actually produced for an Arroyo Grande regional farm it was actually developed for a products broker, and this particular logo design was one of multiple that fell underneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The goal was to produce a brand mark that projected esteem, financial success, and opulence.
Logo design designed for using an indicator for the restaurant (Brewgrrs), it is a luxuriant manuscript font style that is similar to a famous sports team logo.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I’ve crafted dozens of restaurant business logos and establishment signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the United States, from cupcake bakeshops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I think Brewgrrs was my favorite. Brewgrrs was a neat undertaking in which I worked closely with the business owner to create a business logo that worked very well and did a great job to brand them, it functioned on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the lighted signage which hung above their doors, and was highly visible and very legible from over a block away.
