Banning Logo Design

Each and every new Banning organization realizes that they need a logo, but few entrepreneurs entirely understand the pivotal role their company logo can perform in their financial success, or exactly why one business logo functions better than another. A logo design has a critical and long-term impact on the financial success of a business, pick the right one and it will make the door swing and cash register ring, select the wrong one and it can be a barrier and an impediment for the longevity of a company. The logos presented in the ImageCo portfolio help Banning businesses prosper, they are effective in any given scenario and the reason why they are so effective is that they all have these 5 features in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logos don’t demand consideration, they can be realized in just a glance.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to signboards a scalable business logo will remain legible and just as emotive at virtually any dimension.
  3. Versatility: logos that work on any device, in print, on product packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are personal, and they are suitable for the company they stand for.
  5. Relevance: a logo must be timeless and should feel relevant today, tomorrow, and 20 years from now.

Retro logo layout of a bicycle created for a Banning coffee cafe and a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This start-up coffee roaster and coffee bar were opening up in an older part of town and hoped to visualize a vintage feel without appearing as uninteresting or low energy. I fulfilled the two tasks by creating a company logo concept that incorporates a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is old-fashioned, higher energy, and is a enduring business image.

medical logo style with a microscopic lense slide and also germs made for Banning clinical center.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the scientific discipline which investigates the triggers and outcomes of diseases, especially the field of healthcare that deals with the laboratory examination of specimens of human body tissue for diagnostic or forensic reasons.

The Mid-Valley Pathology logo I came up with is the only instance I recollect where I was able to integrate a bacteria-laden microscope slide into a business logo design.

Normally I attempt not to be extremely literal with a design and to a point, this specific design approaches the company it serves quite literally, yet it does it in a way that incorporates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an explanation of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancement to the brand that makes it more captivating, more attention grabbing and even more memorable.

logo design with a jumping environment-friendly frog made for a household fun center in Banning.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a very cool project to work on, probably because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s additionally a project that is way out of the usual of the sorts of jobs which come my way, I’ve done dozens of logo designs for doctors, dentists, and lawyers but Cool Springz is without question the only trampoline park which I have actually ever gotten the privilege to work on.

Given that the full name of the company has the word springz in its name the apparent choice would have been to feature a couple springs into the concept but Cool Springz is a fun destination to go and spring doesn’t really reflect an environment of fun does it. My thought process on this logo project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, inevitably I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the name itself to give the logo a much more enthusiastic high energy feel.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my design and named the frog Jax and incorporated him in to everything they utilized for advertising. I also think this is the only time that a logo I designed was made into a mascot when they had a staff member costume fabricated to look exactly like my frog design.

photography logo including a flock of birds, a hill, a route, a stream, and a tree - designed for Banning travel photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo design job I took on for a travel photographer, which is a fairly niche field of photography and I think it is a niche sector due to the fact that travel photographers tend not to shoot places or things but rather project emotional experiences by means of the photos they capture. The idea behind this logo design was to use negative space to project more than what was visible upon first view, which I think is representative of most good photographers in that they often convey whole stories through their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a 1000 words but I think that some photographs convey much more than that because their photos often have an emotional resonance which can’t be revealed with mere words. I made an effort to do something very similar to this logo design by making use of the positive space in the design to suggest one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was conveyed through the first impression. I think, in hindsight, that my objective was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Banning logo design but also to illustrate the depth of her work and in the way that she sees the world through the lens of her camera.

Banning logo style with a seagull utilized for the letter A. Designed for a wireless retail business.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The lion’s share of custom logo design jobs that I take on I genuinely relish and the Coastal Wireless project was one that I certainly felt good about, but the client didn’t quite share my enthusiasm for it. I felt really good about the concept of using the seagull silhouette as a stroke in the letter A however my customer, while he loved the concept, really did not care for my choice of birds. This particular guy genuinely disliked seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, thankfully the rest of his family members did not share his contempt for this particular type of sea bird.

When I turn a concept over to a client I urge them to share it with colleagues and family members as well as with other people that they don’t actually know so as to get impartial judgements on the merit of a concept. Fortunately, he shared it with his whole family and they really liked the design and were able to persuade him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to incorporate every other seabird he could think of … in the end I was able to talk him out of his preference of a pelican and he went with the original concept.

Custom logo designs are a weird animal in the design world because the people that tend to hire an expert to design their logo realize how important a logo design is for their company so they are way more invested in the result. Every logo job possesses it’s allotment of hurdles, however the largest challenge is identifying that sweet spot in a design that operates really well at the task it’s required to do in branding a business and also providing the client the identity they see for themselves.

a red panda logo style with bamboo behind-the-scenes, style for Banning publication author

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a narrow parcel of real estate to work with, yet it is the most critical part of a printed book considering that it is in most cases the first thing a person views in the book shop. Regarding a publisher, it’s the best opportunity they will ever have to spotlight their brand and get their logo design in front of the men and women that purchase actual books.

This three color design is vivid, colorful and eye-catching and it leaves plenty of space for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo made for an airline in Los Angeles, the logo has 2 letter A's with the bars customized to suggest they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines arrive and go but it seems that in many occurrences one of the traits consumers tend to recall the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a young start-up commuter/shuttle airline situated in LA and while I’m not sure it actually “took off” their organization logo didn’t slow them. The bookend A’s in their brand lent itself well to imparting a spirit of flight and it was surely a victory.

Banning logo layout utilized for advertising and marketing and a label layout for Vintage Situation features an antiquated font style.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case focused in brand-new cases for music instruments, that appeared to be vintage cases. For this logo concept I attempted to come up with a logo that provided a fluid vintage feel to it and could be used for anything from a web page to a label on brand new cases that appeared like they were from a different generation.

Logo design produced for an orthodontist in Banning, layout include an arc with lines converging with it to suggest steel braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dentistry logo designs can be one of the most difficult logo jobs because it appears that each and every dental professional features a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dental logos are one of the most cliche ridden fields when it comes to small business marketing, if dining establishments approached their branding in the very same way dental practices do every one of their logo designs would definitely be a picture trying to explain anything they served, McDonalds would probably contain an image of a potato and a cow.

I understand the thinking behind incorporating an image of something mouth associated to a dentist’s logo design nevertheless it has to be performed subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dentists logo that litter the branding landscape of the dentistry profession.

I really love doing dentist logos simply because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies the field of dentistry or a certain field of dental treatment like orthodontics without resorting to the stereotypical course of action that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics provided such an opportunity and eventually I created a design that does not have a single smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t overt, they are still implied in the concept. When I turned this particular design over to the client the only smile that was evident was really the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo design made for a family not-for-profit, the logo features 4 personalities startled in height to stand for a family with in the layout.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation contacted ImageCo to help them come up with a custom logo design that would be representative of the devotion that William McNally had for the families in his city. The majority of logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain depictions of a happy family, a cliche heavy method to any logo design is to be far too literal about what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve found that the best concepts are the ones that are downplayed and don’t hit the viewer on the head with what the business or organization wishes to relate.

The McNally Foundation’s name provided a distinct opportunity to do a logo which communicated that they were about families without being openly tacky about it. The aim of a logo design is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer tries to use the logo to summarize precisely how people should think or feel they don’t understand the goal of a logo. If people have to think about a logo design to understand what it means, it has failed, a logo needs to be immediately comprehended and a logo that describes itself will never have the chance to be understood.

Logo style produced for a hair design workshop including a script font a hummingbird and an implied orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios desired a business logo that conveyed a sense of peace and elegance for their new hair studio. I came up with a concept that didn’t go the obvious direction of crafting simply a stylized orchid but instead delivered a business logo that implied a flower in the formation of a swirl incorporated into the letter O in the name and by placing attention on the concept along with the figure of a hummingbird hovering over the image itself. The obvious path in designing a business logo is oftentimes the incorrect direction and in this case, the design ended up not being about the orchid but instead laid the importance on the emotion that they really wanted to forecast to their customers.

Logo style for a software program designer the design functions and also renowned aspect of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the key part of an operating system (OS). Generally, the kernel is responsible for memory management, process and task control, and drive operations. The kernel connects the system hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that acts as a connection in between the software and hardware.

The logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is situated a couple of miles from the offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to identify anything to anyone regarding what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. Nevertheless it meant something to the business owner of the business and in many cases the significance behind a logo is just as important as how it serves the business it represents.

A logo design including a fisherman in the middle of the name casting a fly in the direction of the visitor.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With companies such as Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in over 7 billion a year retailing supplies and equipment to outdoor sporting fans the founders of On the Fly knew the market was prepared for an outdoor sporting store that functions as a consignment firm. Whether or not you are into boating, sportfishing or rock climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly presents a venue for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all types of passions, a location to market their previously owned items to other sports enthusiasts. I created their Banning logo design dsign using a graphic that garners the attention of vehicles and projects an image that evokes the passion of the outdoors. With traffic that averages forty five mph I realized it would take more than the average logo/sign to get travelers to take notice, hence the graphic of a fly fisherman in his natural and calm habitat.
Logo layout MQ ranches, this logo style has actually a field incorporated into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms emblem concept wasn’t really created for an Banning regional farm it was really designed for an investments broker, and this particular brand was one of multiple which fell underneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The aim was really to design a brand mark that projects self-assurance, success, and opulence.
Logo design made for the use of an indicator for the restaurant (Brewgrrs), it is an elaborate script font that is similar to a popular sporting activities group logo.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I’ve designed dozens of restaurant business logos and business signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the USA, from cupcake pastry shops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I think Brewgrrs was my absolute favorite. Brewgrrs was a great project where I worked directly with the owner to develop a logo that worked really well and did a fantastic job to brand them, it worked on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the neon signage which hung over their doors, and was highly visible and very easy to read from over a block away.
