POINTERS FOR DETERMINING THE BEST LOGO DESIGNER

BUDGET

A business logo is an investment in both your time and your money so whenever a design firm offers a money back guarantee try to keep in mind that they can not reimburse the amount of time you invest which is eminently more precious than your money is.

PORTFOLIO

Many designers talk a good game but ultimately a design firm can only be determined from the quality of their portfolio, if the work in their design portfolio doesn’t feature real world examples odds are they won’t be able to produce a top quality logo design.

VISION

A logo’s aim is to be understood and remembered, and it’s objective is to reflect your personal vision for your company. If a designer is not focused on realizing your vision, the thing they are really focused on is how quickly they will get paid.

Bell Gardens LOGO DESIGN

For over 20 years ImageCo has been helping entrepreneurs establish notable brands. We’ve done brand identity design work for mechanics, educational institutions, heart surgeons, party planners, coffee shops, retail stores, and just about every other kind of business concern you can envision. What makes ImageCo unique compared to typical graphic designers is that our background is rooted in the electrical sign industry so we approach every design as if it will be used as an electrical sign. Because of our sign first technique our identity designs can, and have been employed in everything from clothing labels to billboards. Our sign first approach guarantees that our logos are just as effective whether they are used in TV commercials or web applications, they are consistently identifiable, comprehended, and always remembered irrespective of size or purpose.

American Made ★ Design

Something which really sets ImageCo apart from other design agencies that you may have stumbled upon in Google’s search results, companies like Thumbtack, Design Hill, Upwork, or Crowdspring is that absolutely every design project we are brought on board to do, we perform in-house. Irrespective of the kind of project we take on, logo design, website, trade show exhibition, or electrical sign, we do not, and never will farm-out our customer’s projects to companies based outside the USA. Whenever you phone us at 1-855-IMAGECO the individual that answers the phone is ImageCo’s owner and designer, not a go-between that marks up the price of your design project and determines the terms of how we conduct business.

CHARACTERISTICS OF A GREAT LOGO DESIGN

Nearly every new Bell Gardens entrepreneur knows they probably need a logo, but few start ups thoroughly recognize the crucial role their business logo will perform in their becoming successful, or the reason that one business logo performs better than another. A company logo has an instant and long term effect on the success of a company, pick the correct one and it can make the door swing and phone ring, choose the wrong one and it will be an obstacle and an impediment for the life of a business. The logos presented in the ImageCo portfolio help Bell Gardens companies succeed, they are effective in any given scenario and the reason they are so effective is because they all have these 5 traits in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logos don’t require contemplation, they can be understood in merely a glance.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to store signs a scalable logo design will remain legible and equally emotive at virtually any dimension.
  3. Versatility: logos which function on any type of device, in print, on packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they feel right, and they are suitable for the product or organization they brand.
  5. Relevance: a company logo must be lasting and will feel equally relevant today, tomorrow, and twenty years from today.

understanding branding

Brand – It’s both a verb and also a noun, it’s an identifying mark and the act of marking something to make sure that it could be identified, its origin originates from the mark burned onto animals. These days a brand symbolizes virtually anything with an objective, regardless of whether it be earnings or political parties, a brand is an intrinsic aspect of defining the value of something in the customer’s mind.

Branding – Is sort of like advertising and marketing’s sexy cousin, they are all from the same family, the distinction being that advertising and marketing have to do with making a promise and branding’s objective is to deliver on that promise. Branding is also a calculated popularity competition directed at a specific audience, it’s objective is to produce an image that the audience can connect to.

Brand Image – An image planted and cultivated through advertising and marketing as well as identity design. When someone mentions the brand names Porsche or Mustang what we consider is their brand image, it’s an image that exists in our minds. That image isn’t an image of an automobile with 4 wheels that can carry us from point A to point B, the the mental image we have (or at least I have) is of freedom, elegance, of something dangerous and sexy . That is brand image and that is what makes people want those products. Brand image is why people purchase specific brands, from Pepsi to Coke Chevy or Ford, Democrats or Republicans … all driven by brand images that we can identify with.

Branding Companies – If you look back at the beginning of many branding companies you’ll find that they are often re-branded marketing and advertising companies. When a person claims they are in marketing many people will likely have an idea about the type of work they do anything that can be seen, felt or heard belong to a brand identity.

Brand Identity Designer
– A brand identity designer is a graphic designer that concentrates on a type of visual design which helps form the public image of a business, a product or a business. Brand identity designers produce logo designs, sign designs, product packaging, as well as collateral products such as business cards, stationery, and also brochures. Some identity designers also develop web sites as well as user interfaces. The necessary function of a brand identity designer is to develop the visual cues as well as a psychological tone with the goal of affecting actions, results and also assumptions.

Featured SIGNS & LOGOS

Retro logo style of a bike produced for a Bell Gardens coffee cafe and also a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This fledgling coffee roaster and cafe were opening in an old section of the area and hoped to cast a retro atmosphere without coming across as boring or low energy. I accomplished the two tasks by creating a custom logo concept that includes a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is old-fashioned, high energy, and is a ageless business image.

medical logo design with a microscopic lense slide as well as bacteria developed for Bell Gardens clinical clinic.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the science that analyzes the root causes and outcomes of diseases, mainly the field of medicine which deals with the clinical evaluation of samplings of human body cellular material for diagnostic or forensic intents.

The Mid-Valley Pathology custom logo design I came up with is the sole instance I call to mind in which I was in a position to incorporate a bacteria-laden microscope slide within a business logo design.

Normally I attempt not to be extremely literal with a concept and to a point, this design approaches the company it represents very literally, but it does it in a fashion that incorporates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as a description of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancement to the name that makes it more appealing, more focus grabbing and more unforgettable.

logo style with a jumping eco-friendly frog made for a family enjoyable center in Bell Gardens.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a really cool project to work on, probably because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the usual of the sorts of jobs which come my way, I’ve produced dozens of logo designs for surgeons, dental offices, and lawyers but Cool Springz is without question the only trampoline park which I have ever gotten the opportunity to work on.

Given that the full name of the business features the word springz in its name the apparent choice would have been to include a couple springs into the concept but Cool Springz is a fun location to go and spring doesn’t actually reflect an atmosphere of fun does it. My thought process on this logo design project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, eventually I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the title itself to provide the logo a better lively high energy mood.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my brainchild and named the frog Jax and integrated him in to everything they utilized for advertising and marketing. I also think this is the only time that a logo I created was transformed into a mascot when they had a staff member costume fabricated to look exactly like my frog design.

photography logo design including a group of birds, a mountain, a trail, a stream, as well as a tree - created for Bell Gardens travel photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a custom logo design project I took on for a travel photographer, which is a pretty niche field of photography and I believe it is a niche speciality due to the fact that travel photographers tend not to capture locations or things but instead reveal emotional experiences by means of the images they record. The thought behind this logo composition was to use negative space to project more than what was visible upon initial view, which I think is representative of the majority of good photographers in that they often tell whole stories using their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a thousand words but I think that some photographs convey considerably more than that because their photos often have an emotional fullness that can’t be revealed with mere words. I attempted to do something similar to this logo by using the positive space in the design to voice one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was conveyed through the first impression. I think, in looking back, that my goal was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Bell Gardens logo design but also to show the depth in her art and in the way that she views the world through the lens of her camera.

Bell Gardens logo style with a seagull made use of for the letter A. Designed for a cordless retail service.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The bulk of logo design jobs that I take on I really take pleasure in and the Coastal Wireless project was one that I really felt good about, but the client didn’t quite share my enthusiasm for it. I felt really good about the concept of using the seagull shape as a stroke in the letter A however my client, even though he liked the concept, really did not care for my choice of birds. This particular guy genuinely loathed seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, thankfully the rest of his friends and family didn’t share his hatred for this specific type of sea bird.

When I turn a concept over to a client I urge them to share it with friends and family as well as with people that they don’t even know so as to get neutral assessments on the merit of a design concept. Fortunately, he talked about it with his whole family and they loved the design and were able to reason with him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to insert every other seabird he could think of … ultimately I was able to talk him out of his choice of a pelican and he proceeded with the original concept.

Custom logo designs are a weird creature in the design world given that the people that tend to hire a professional to design their logo understand how essential a logo design is for their organization so they are much more vested in the outcome. Every logo design project possesses it’s share of difficulties, but the greatest challenge is finding that sweet spot in a design that operates really well at the job it’s required to do in branding a company and also providing the client the image they see for themselves.

a red panda logo layout with bamboo in the background, layout for Bell Gardens book author

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a thin segment of real estate to work with, but it really is the most crucial part of a printed book due to the fact that it is often the first thing a person views in the book store. Regarding a publisher, it’s the best opportunity that they will likely ever have to advertise their product and get their logo design in front of the individuals that purchase actual books.

This 3 color design is vivid, picturesque and eye-catching and it gives plenty of room for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo design made for an airline company in Los Angeles, the logo has 2 letter A's with the bars modified to suggest they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines come and go yet it seems like that in many cases one of the things individuals often tend to recollect the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a small new venture commuter/shuttle airline based in LA and while I’m not certain it actually “took off” their custom logo didn’t slow them. The bookend A’s in their brand lent itself well to conferring a feeling of air travel and it was undoubtedly a success.

Bell Gardens logo style made use of for marketing as well as a label layout for Vintage Case includes an antiquated font style design.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case focused in new cases for musical instruments, that looked to be antique cases. For this business logo concept I tried to come up with a logo that had a fluid nostalgic feel to it and could easily be used for everything from a website to a label on brand new cases that seemed like they were from another era.

Logo created for an orthodontist in Bell Gardens, layout consist of an arc with lines converging via it to suggest metal braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dentistry logos can easily be one of the most challenging logo jobs because it appears that every dental professional integrates a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dentistry business logos are one of the very most cliche ridden careers when it comes to business marketing, if dining establishments approached their branding in the very same way dental offices do every one of their logos would be a picture trying to explain anything they served, McDonalds would likely contain an image of a potato and a cow.

I understand the thinking behind including an image of something mouth related to a dentist’s logo nevertheless it has to be performed subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dental professionals logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental industry.

I really love doing dentistry logo designs because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies dentistry or a certain field of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the clichéd course of action that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics delivered such an opportunity and subsequently I created a concept that does not have a single smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t overt, they are still suggested in the design. When I turned this particular design over to the customer the only smile that was evident was actually the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo design developed for a family members nonprofit, the logo features 4 personalities staggered in elevation to stand for a family with in the style.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation asked ImageCo to help them come up with a logo design that would be illustrative of the devotion that William McNally had for the families in his community. Most logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain portrayals of a happy family, a cliche heavy strategy to any logo design is to be far too literal with regards to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve discovered that the best designs are the ones that are understated and don’t hit the viewer on the head with what the company or institution hopes to communicate.

The McNally Foundation’s name offered a unique opportunity to do a custom logo design which conveyed that they were about families without being overtly tacky about it. The objective of a logo design is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer tries to use the logo design to explain specifically how individuals ought to think or feel they don’t understand the mission of a logo. If you have to think about a logo to understand what it means, it has been in vain, a logo needs to be immediately comprehended and a logo that illustrates itself won’t have the opportunity to be comprehended.

Logo style produced for a Bell Gardens hair design studio including a script font a hummingbird and also a suggested orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios needed a business logo that conveyed a sense of serenity and elegance for their new hair studio. I came up with a design which did not go the obvious direction of designing simply a stylized orchid but alternatively crafted a company logo which suggested a flower in the formation of a swirl featured into the letter O in the name and by putting emphasis on the logo design along with the figure of a hummingbird hovering over the logo design itself. The obvious path in designing a logo design is oftentimes the incorrect course and in this case, the design ended up not being about the orchid but alternately put the attention on the feeling that they wanted to project to their clients.

Arabian equine logo design developed for an equine ranch that specializes in breeding Arabian show steeds.

Dazzo Arabians | Logo Design

ImageCo designed a unique organization logo concept styled to illustrate the unique physical traits of the Arabian pedigree of equines. By having an identifiable head form and high tail posture, the Arabian is one of the very most quite easily identifiable horse lineages in the whole world.

Las Cafe, A Bell Gardens Coffee shop logo design a small restaurant, design contains a changed script font style which floats above a group of luxuriant lines and dots.

Las Cafe | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

Las Cafe logo layout a little restaurant, style includes a modified manuscript font style which floats above a group of ornate lines as well as dots.

Logo layout for a software programmer the design functions and also renowned Bell Gardens component of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the central part of an operating system (OS). Traditionally, the kernel is responsible for memory administration, process and task control, and drive management. The kernel links the system hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that functions as a bridge between the software and computer hardware.

The business logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is situated a number of miles from the business offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to explain anything to anyone regarding what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. But it meant something to the owner of the business and in many cases the substance supporting a company logo is just as important as how it brands the organization it stands for.

Progress logo style produced for a Bell Gardensinterior designer, style feature a collection of red circles that converge and also change the letter O in the center of the logo style.

Evolv Interior Design | Logo Design | Branding

Evolv Design is a Bell Gardens interior design company and this logo design is representational of the work that an interior designer does in. An interior designer is a person who plans, explores, coordinates, and oversees such tasks. Interior design is a multifaceted occupation that includes conceptual development, area planning, site examinations, programming, investigation, corresponding with the stakeholders of a project, building and construction supervision, and implementation of the design.

logo design done for Advanced Leadership Solutions in Bell Gardens, the characters for letter V and also A in center of words progressed have been changed to tie straight into words below.

Advanced Leadership Solutions | Logo Design | Website Design

This particular Bell Gardens logo design project was carried out for a management expert that helps business professionals to become more effective at managing people, expectations, and productivity.

A Bell Gardens business logo layout including a fisherman in the center of the name casting a fly in the direction of the visitor.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brands such as Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in more than 7 billion a year offering goods and equipment to outdoor sporting fans the founders of On the Fly knew the market place was primed for an outdoor sporting store that functions as a consignment firm. Whether or not you are into boating, angling or rock climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly provides a destination for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all kinds of interests, a spot to market their used products to other sports enthusiasts.

I created their Bell Gardens logo design design along with a graphic that seizes the attention of traffic and sends an image that wakens the passion of the outdoors. With traffic that averages forty five mph I realized it would take more than the average logo/sign to get commuters to take notice, hence the graphic of a fly fisherman in his natural and serene habitat.

Logo design MQ farms, this Bell Gardens company logo style has actually a field integrated into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms brand design wasn’t actually composed for an Bell Gardens regional farm it was really developed for a commodities broker, and this particular trademark was one of many that fell beneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The goal was really to create an identity that projected esteem, financial success, and wealth.

Bell Gardens Logo design for a nonprofit, Transforming Point Solutions - the logo style function for ostensibly dealing with arrow and also the arrowheads indicate that it is a diamond shape.

Turning Point Foundation | Logo Design

The Turning Point Foundation was entirely open to what type of logo design that they would like, this can be a good thing or a bad thing. Good in that it gives a designer the opportunity to investigate any concept that comes to mind, bad in that it’s difficult to hit a bullseye without understanding where exactly the target is. Fortunately, in this case, I struck a bullseye with the very first go.

Logo design created for using a sign for the restaurant (Brewgrrs), it is an elaborate script typeface that is reminiscent of a well-known Bell Gardens sporting activities team logo.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I’ve crafted loads of restaurant business logos and business signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments, and eateries all over the US, from cupcake bakeries to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I think Brewgrrs was my favorite. Brewgrrs was a neat undertaking where I worked closely with the owner to design a logo that worked extremely well and did a fantastic job to brand them, it worked on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the illuminated sign that hung above their doors, and was highly visible and very legible from over a block away.
