Bostonia Logo Design

Every new Bostonia business understands that they require a logo, but few new business owners fully understand the crucial role their logo will take in their financial success, or precisely why one business logo works more effectively than another. A logo design has a critical and long term effect on the growth of a company, pick the right one and it can make the door swing and phone ring, go with the incorrect one and it will be a barrier and an impediment for the longevity of a company. The logos included in the ImageCo portfolio help Bostonia companies prosper, they are effective in any given scenario and the main reason they are so effective is that they all have these five things in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logo designs don’t require scrutiny, they can be comprehended in merely a glimpse.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to billboards a scalable logo will stay legible and equally emotive at every dimension.
  3. Versatility: logos that work on any sort of device, in print, on product packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are personal, and they are suitable for the business they represent.
  5. Relevance: a logo design must be timeless and should feel relevant today, tomorrow, and twenty years from today.

Retro logo design of a bike developed for a Bostonia coffee cafe as well as a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This start-up coffee roaster and coffee shop were launching in an old section of town and hoped to project a retro vibe without appearing as stodgy or low energy. I fulfilled both of these tasks by means of designing a business logo concept that includes a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is old-fashioned, high energy, and is a ageless business image.

medical logo style with a microscope slide and also germs made for Bostonia medical center.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the science that researches the root causes and outcomes of diseases, especially the branch of medicine which deals with the laboratory evaluation of samplings of human body tissue for diagnostic or forensic purposes.

The Mid-Valley Pathology logo I came up with is really the sole instance I call to mind in which I was in a position to incorporate a bacteria-laden microscope slide into a business logo design.

Generally I attempt not to be extremely literal with a concept and to a degree, this specific design approaches the company it represents fairly literally, but it does it in a way that incorporates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an illustration of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancer to the name that makes it more appealing, more attention grabbing and more unforgettable.

logo layout with a leaping environment-friendly frog made for a family fun center in Bostonia.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a very cool project to work on, probably because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the usual of the types of jobs which come my way, I’ve produced dozens of logo designs for surgeons, dental offices, and attorneys but Cool Springz is without question the one and only trampoline park that I have actually ever had the opportunity to work on.

Given that the name of the company features the word springz in its name the clear choice would have been to feature a couple springs into the concept but Cool Springz is a fun location to go and spring does not really resonate an atmosphere of fun does it. My thought process on this logo design project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, eventually I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the title itself to give the logo a better lively high energy feeling.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my brainchild and named the frog Jax and integrated him in to everything they utilized for promotion and marketing. I also think this is the only time that a logo I designed was transformed into a mascot when they had a staff member costume fabricated to look just like my frog design.

digital photography logo including a group of birds, a hill, a route, a stream, and a tree - developed for Bostonia travel professional photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo project I took on for a travel photographer, which is a rather niche field of photography and I believe it is a niche profession because travel photographers don’t capture places or things but rather reveal emotional experiences by means of the pictures they record. The thought behind this logo concept was to make use of negative space to communicate more than what was visible upon initial glance, which I think is quintessential of almost all good photographers in that they oftentimes convey entire stories using their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a 1000 words but I think that some photographs convey much more than that because their photos often have an emotional fullness which can’t be conveyed with just words. I tried to do something very similar to this logo design by utilizing the positive space in the design to say one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was conveyed through the first impression. I think, in looking back, that my goal was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Bostonia logo design but also to reveal the depth of her work and in the way that she sees the world through the lens of her camera.

Bostonia logo style with a seagull utilized for the letter A. Designed for a wireless retail company.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The majority of business logo design projects that I take on I truly take pleasure in and the Coastal Wireless design was one that I certainly felt good about, however the customer didn’t quite share my enthusiasm for it. I felt really good about the concept of using the seagull form as a stroke in the letter A but the client, while he loved the concept, didn’t care for my choice of birds. This particular guy genuinely disliked seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, luckily the rest of his family didn’t share his contempt for this specific kind of sea bird.

When I turn a design over to a customer I encourage them to share it with friends and colleagues and family members as well as with individuals that they don’t even know so as to get impartial point of views on the benefit of a design concept. Fortunately, he talked about it with his family and they adored the concept and were able to persuade him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to include every other seabird he could think of … in the end I was able to talk him out of his preference of a pelican and he went with the original design.

Logos are a strange animal in the design world because the people that tend to hire an expert to design their business logo recognize how vital a logo design is for their organization so they are much more vested in the final result. Every logo job possesses it’s portion of hurdles, but the most significant obstacle is identifying that sweet spot in a design that operates really well at the job it’s needed to do in branding a business and also giving the client the image they see for themselves.

a red panda logo style with bamboo in the background, layout for Bostonia book author

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a slender segment of real estate to work with, yet it is the most essential part of a printed book because it is ordinarily the primary thing a person sees in the book shop. With regard to a publishing company, it’s the optimal opportunity they will ever have to spotlight their label and get their logo design in front of the people that purchase actual books.

This 3 color design is vibrant, colorful and eye-catching and it gives plenty of room for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo design developed for an airline in Los Angeles, the logo has 2 letter A's with benches customized to suggest they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines arrive and depart nevertheless it seems that in many occurrences 1 of the things individuals often tend to recollect the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a small fledgling commuter/shuttle airline located in LA and while I’m not certain it really “took off” their organization logo didn’t ground them. The bookend A’s in their brand lent itself well to imparting a good sense of airline flight and it was undoubtedly a winner.

Bostonia logo design made use of for advertising as well as a label layout for Vintage Instance includes an antiquated typeface design.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in new cases for musical instruments, which appeared to be much older cases. For this custom logo design I attempted to come up with a logo that had a fluid retro feel to it and could be utilized for anything from a web page to an insignia on brand new cases that seemed like they were from a different point in time.

Logo developed for an orthodontist in Bostonia, design include an arc with lines intersecting through it to imply metal dental braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dentistry logos can be one of the most challenging and difficult logo projects due to the fact that it seems that virtually every dentist features a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dentistry business logos are one of the very most cliche ridden careers when it comes to business branding, if dining establishments approached their advertising in the same way dental offices do every one of their company logos would be a picture trying to explain something they served, McDonalds would probably have a picture of a potato and a cow.

I recognize the thinking behind including an image of something mouth related to a dentist’s company logo nevertheless it has to be performed subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dentists logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental care industry.

I actually love doing dental business logos simply because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies the field of dentistry or a specific area of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the clichéd course of action that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics offered such an opportunity and inevitably I created a design that doesn’t have a solitary smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t obvious, they are still implied in the concept. When I turned this particular concept over to the client the only smile that was apparent was really the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo design developed for a family not-for-profit, the logo design features 4 personalities startled in height to stand for a family with in the layout.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation reached out to ImageCo to help them come up with a logo that would be representative of the devotion that William McNally had for the folks in his city. The majority of logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain depictions of a happy family, a cliche heavy method to any logo design is to be overly literal with regards to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve found that the best designs are the ones that are downplayed and never hit the viewer on the head with what the business or organization wants to relate.

The McNally Foundation’s name provided a unique opportunity to do a custom logo design which communicated that they were about families without being openly cheesy about it. The goal of a logo design is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer makes an effort to use the logo to summarize precisely how people ought to think or feel they don’t understand the mission of a logo. If you have to think about a logo design to understand what it means, it has fallen short, a logo needs to be instantly understood and a logo design that describes itself will never have the opportunity to be comprehended.

Logo style produced for a hair style workshop including a script font a hummingbird and also a suggested orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios desired a business logo which projected a feeling of calmness and class for their new hair salon. I came up with a design that did not go the obvious path of designing simply a stylized orchid but instead designed a business logo that suggested a flower in the pattern of a swirl integrated in to the letter O in the title and by putting attention on the concept using the silhouette of a hummingbird hovering above the logo itself. The obvious path in creating a logo is generally the wrong course and in this case, the design ended up not being about the orchid but alternately laid the importance on the feeling that they wanted to project to their patrons.

Dazzo Arabians | Logo Design

Logo style for a software application programmer the layout functions as well as famous component of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the principal part of an operating system (OS). Typically, the kernel is responsible for memory management, process and task management, and disk management. The kernel links the system hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that performs as a connection in between the software program and computer hardware.

The logo design I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is situated a few miles from the business offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to identify anything to anyone regarding to what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. But it represented something to the business owner of the business and in quite a few cases the substance behind a logo is just as important as how it serves the company it represents.

logo layout done for Advanced Management Solutions, the characters for letter V and also A in middle of the word advanced have actually been customized to tie directly into the words listed below.

Advanced Leadership Solutions | Logo Design | Website Design

This particular Bostonia logo design project was completed for a management advisor that assists business professionals to become more successful at overseeing people, expectations, and productivity.

A logo style featuring an angler in the middle of the name casting a fly in the direction of the audience.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brands like Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in over 7 billion a year selling supplies and equipment to outdoor sporting lovers the owners of On the Fly knew the market was primed for an outdoor sporting retailer that operates as a consignment business. Whether you are into boating, sportfishing or mountain climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly provides a destination for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all types of interests, a location to sell their secondhand items to other sports enthusiasts. I designed their Bostonia business logo dsign utilizing a graphic that garners the interest of vehicles and projects an image that evokes the enthusiasm of the outdoors. With traffic that averages forty five mph I knew it would take more than the typical logo/sign to get travelers to take notice, hence the image of a fly fisherman in his natural and relaxed habitat.
Logo style MQ ranches, this logo style has actually an area included right into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms emblem concept wasn’t really composed for an Bostonia area farm it was really developed for an investments broker, and this trademark was one of a handful of that fell underneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The goal was really to produce a brand mark that projected trust, financial success, and opulence.
Logo design developed for using an indication for the dining establishment (Brewgrrs), it is an ornate script font that is similar to a famous sports team logo.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I’ve designed loads of restaurant logos and business signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the United States, from cupcake bakeries to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I believe Brewgrrs was my absolute favorite. Brewgrrs was a neat project where I worked closely with the business owner to develop a business logo which worked extremely well and did a great job to brand them, it worked on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the neon sign that hung above their doors, and was highly visible and very easy to read from over a block away.
