Camarillo, California Logo Design

Each and every new Camarillo business professional understands that they need a logo, yet few entrepreneurs fully grasp the crucial role their business logo will make in their financial success, or why one logo design functions more effectively than another. A business logo has a critical and lasting effect on the prosperity of a company, pick the right one and it can make the door swing and cash register ring, go with the incorrect one and it will be an obstacle and a hindrance for the life span of a business.

The logos presented in the ImageCo portfolio help Camarillo, California businesses succeed, they are effective in any given situation and the reason they are so effective is that they all have these 5 things in common.

  1. Simplicity: simple logos do not require contemplation, they can be grasped in merely a glance.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to posters a scalable business logo will continue to be legible and equally emotive at any size.
  3. Versatility: logos which function on any type of device, in print, on packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are exclusive, and they are suitable for the company they stand for.
  5. Relevance: a company logo must be timeless and will feel as relevant today, tomorrow, and thirty years from now.
Retro logo layout of a bike developed for a Camarillo, California coffee cafe as well as a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This startup coffee roaster and coffee shop were actually opening up in an older section of town and wanted to project a nostalgic feel without coming across as boring or low energy. I fulfilled both of these tasks via designing a company logo concept that incorporates a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is antiquated, higher energy, and is a timeless business image.

medical logo style with a microscopic lense slide and bacteria developed for Camarillo, California clinical facility.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the science that investigates the root causes and consequences of diseases, mainly the branch of healthcare which works with the laboratory examination of specimens of human body cellular material for diagnostic or forensic objectives.

The Mid-Valley Pathology logo design I came up with is the only instance I remember in which I was in a position to integrate a bacteria-laden microscope slide into a logo design.

Typically I attempt not to be overly literal with a concept and to a degree, this specific design approaches the company it represents fairly literally, yet it does it in a fashion that incorporates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an explanation of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancer to the name that makes it more intriguing, more attention grabbing and much more memorable.

logo style with a leaping environment-friendly frog created for a family fun center in Camarillo, California.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a really fun project to work on, most likely because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s additionally a project that is way out of the norm of the kinds of jobs that come my way, I’ve produced dozens of logo designs for physicians, dental offices, and lawyers but Cool Springz is without question the only trampoline park which I have actually ever had the opportunity to work on.

Given that the full name of the company has the word springz in its name the clear choice would have been to incorporate a few springs into the design but Cool Springz is a fun destination to go and spring doesn’t really reflect an environment of fun does it. My thought process on this logo project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, in the end I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the title itself to provide the logo a more lively high energy atmosphere.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my brainchild and named the frog Jax and integrated him in to everything they utilized for advertising. I also think this is the only time that a logo I created was made into a mascot when they had a staff member costume fabricated to look just like my frog design.

photography logo design including a group of birds, a mountain, a trail, a stream, and a tree - created for Camarillo, California travel digital photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a custom logo design job I took on for a travel photographer, which is a pretty niche field of photography and I believe it is a niche profession because travel photographers tend not to capture places or things but instead convey emotional journeys through the photos they capture. The idea behind this logo design was to use negative space to project more than what was visible upon initial glance, which I think is quintessential of most professional photographers in that they oftentimes share entire stories through their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a 1000 words but I think that some photographs convey a great deal more than that because their photos frequently have an emotional fullness that can’t be communicated with mere words. I attempted to do something the same to this logo design by employing the positive space in the design to voice one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was conveyed through the first impression. I think, in looking back, that my objective was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Camarillo logo but also to show the depth to her work and in the way that she sees the world through the lens of her camera.

Camarillo logo layout with a seagull used for the letter A. Designed for a wireless retail organisation.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The bulk of business logo design projects that I take on I seriously enjoy and the Coastal Wireless project was one that I certainly felt good about, but the client didn’t quite share my enthusiasm for it. I felt really good about the idea of using the seagull shape as a stroke in the letter A however my client, even though he liked the concept, didn’t care for my choice of birds. This particular guy genuinely despised seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, luckily the rest of his family didn’t share his hatred for this specific type of sea bird.

When I turn a concept over to a client I encourage all of them to discuss it with colleagues and family as well as with people that they don’t actually know so as to get objective assessments on the benefit of a design concept. Fortunately, he discussed it with his family and they adored the design and were able to reason with him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to include every other seabird he could think of … ultimately I was able to talk him out of his preference of a pelican and he went with the original design.

Logos are a weird creature in the design world because the people that have a tendency to hire an expert to design their logo comprehend how crucial a logo is for their business so they are much more invested in the result. Every logo design project has it’s portion of obstacles, but the most significant obstacle is identifying that sweet spot in a design that functions really well at the task it’s needed to do in branding a company and also providing the customer the identity they see for themselves.

a red panda logo layout with bamboo behind-the-scenes, layout for Camarillo, California book author

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a narrow segment of real estate to work with, yet it is the most crucial part of a printed book due to the fact that it is in most cases the very first thing a person views in the book shop. Concerning a publishing company, it’s the opportunity they will likely ever get to publicize their product and get their logo design in front of the men and women that shop for actual books.

This 3 color design is vibrant, colorful and eye-catching and it leaves plenty of room for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo designed for an airline company in Los Angeles, the logo has two letter A's with benches changed to suggest they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines come and go nevertheless it seems that in many occurrences one of the aspects individuals usually tend to recall the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a modest new venture commuter/shuttle airline situated in LA and while I’m not certain it actually “took off” their organization logo didn’t ground them. The bookend A’s in their title lent itself well to imparting a feeling of airline flight and it was definitely a victory.

Camarillo logo layout made use of for advertising and also a tag style for Vintage Case features an old font design.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in all new cases for musical instruments, which seemed to be older cases. For this custom logo design I sought to come up with a logo that possessed a fluid nostalgic feel to it and could easily be used for everything from a website to an insignia on brand new cases that seemed like they were from another generation.

Logo developed for an orthodontist in Camarillo, California, style consist of an arc with lines intersecting via it to suggest metal braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental care business logos can easily be one of the most difficult logo jobs because it appears that each and every dentist includes a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dental logos are one of the most cliche ridden fields when it comes to small business advertising, if restaurants approached their branding in the very same way dental practices do every one of their company logos would be a picture explaining something they served, McDonalds would probably include an image of a potato and a cow.

I understand the thinking behind incorporating an illustration of something mouth related to a dentist’s company logo nevertheless it has to be done subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dental professionals logo that litter the branding landscape of the dentistry profession.

I really enjoy doing dentist business logos because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies the field of dentistry or a particular field of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the clichéd solution that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics provided such an opportunity and inevitably I created a design that doesn’t have a single smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t overt, they are still suggested in the design. When I turned this concept over to the customer the only smile that was obvious was the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo design made for a family nonprofit, the logo design includes 4 characters surprised in height to represent a family with in the style.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation asked ImageCo to help them come up with a logo design that would be representative of the devotion that William McNally had for the folks in his city. Many logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain images of a happy family, a cliche heavy strategy to any logo design is to be very literal with regards to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve found that the best designs are the ones that are downplayed and never hit the viewer on the head with what the company or organization hopes to communicate.

The McNally Foundation’s name presented a distinct opportunity to do a custom logo design that conveyed that they were about families without being openly corny about it. The goal of a logo design is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer attempts to use the logo to explain specifically how people ought to think or feel they don’t understand the purpose of a logo. If viewers have to think about a logo to understand what it means, it has failed, a logo needs to be immediately comprehended and a logo that describes itself will never have the opportunity to be understood.

Logo style produced for a hair style studio including a manuscript font a hummingbird and an indicated orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios needed a company logo which communicated a spirit of simplicity and connection for their new hair studio. I came up with a design which did not go the obvious path of making merely a stylized orchid but rather crafted a business logo that implied a flower in the pattern of a swirl integrated in to the letter O in the name and by placing attention on the concept along with the silhouette of a hummingbird floating above the image itself. The obvious path in designing a business logo is more often than not the wrong route and in this case, the design ended up not being about the flower but instead put the importance on the perception that they wanted to forecast to their clients.

Logo layout for a software program developer the style functions and legendary component of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the principal part of an operating system (OS). Generally, the kernel is responsible for memory administration, process and task management, and hard drive operations. The kernel connects the system hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that performs as a connection between the software program and computer hardware.

The logo design I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is located a couple of miles from the offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to point out anything to anyone about what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. But it represented something to the business owner of the company and in many cases the substance behind a company logo is equally as important as how it brands the company it stands for.

A logo design featuring an angler in the center of the name casting a fly in the direction of the visitor.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brands like Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in more than 7 billion a year offering supplies and equipment to outdoor sporting lovers the founders of On the Fly knew the market was prepared for an outdoor sporting merchant that functions as a consignment firm. Whether you are into boating, angling or mountain climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly presents a place for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all types of passions, a place to sell their pre-owned items to other sports enthusiasts. I tailored their Camarillo logo dsign utilizing an illustration which garners the attention of traffic and projects an image that arouses the passion of the outdoors. With visitor traffic that averages forty five mph I realized it would take more than the typical logo/sign to get commuters to take notice, hence the image of a fly fisherman in his natural and tranquil habitat.

Camarillo Logo design for a nonprofit, Turning Point Solutions - the logo layout attribute for externally dealing with arrowhead as well as the arrowheads indicate that it is a ruby shape.

Turning Point Foundation | Logo Design

The Turning Point Foundation was totally open to what kind of logo design they desired, this can be a good thing or a bad thing. Good in that it offers a designer the flexibility to explore any idea that comes to mind, bad in that it’s tricky to hit a bullseye without knowing where exactly the target is. Luckily, in this particular case, I nailed a bullseye with the very first try.

Logo design developed for the use of a sign for the dining establishment (Brewgrrs), it is an ornate manuscript typeface that is evocative a renowned sports team logo.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I have created dozens of restaurant logo designs and establishment signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments, and eateries all over the USA, from cupcake pastry shops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I believe Brewgrrs was my favorite. Brewgrrs was a neat undertaking in which I worked directly with the proprietor to design a business logo that worked really well and did a fantastic job to brand them, it functioned on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the neon signage that hung above their doors, and was highly visible and very easy to read from over a block away.
