Clovis Logo Design

Virtually every new Clovis company realizes that they are in need of a logo, yet few new business owners entirely comprehend the crucial role their company logo can play in their financial success, or exactly why one logo performs more effectively than another. A business logo has an immediate and lasting effect on the success of a company, select the right one and it will make the door swing and cash register ring, go with the wrong one and it can be a barrier and a hindrance for the life of a business. The logos presented in the ImageCo portfolio help Clovis businesses succeed, they are effective in any given scenario and the reason they are so effective is that they all have these five traits in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logos do not demand deliberation, they can be comprehended in merely a glance.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to signboards a scalable business logo will stay legible and equally emotive at every scale.
  3. Versatility: logos that operate on any type of device, in print, on product packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball-cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are exclusive, and they are suitable for the business they represent.
  5. Relevance: a business logo must be ageless and should feel relevant today, tomorrow, and twenty years from today.

Retro logo layout of a bicycle produced for a Clovis coffee cafe as well as a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This start-up coffee roaster and coffeehouse were opening up in an older section of the area and wished to visualize a nostalgic atmosphere without coming across as uninteresting or low energy. I fulfilled each of the tasks via designing a symbol design that includes a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is antiquated, high energy, and is a classic business image.

clinical logo style with a microscope slide as well as bacteria made for Clovis medical center.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the scientific discipline that examines the causes and effects of diseases, especially the field of healthcare which deals with the laboratory assessment of samplings of body cellular material for diagnostic or forensic objectives.

The Mid-Valley Pathology logo I came up with is the sole instance I recall where I was able to incorporate a bacteria-laden microscope slide into a business logo design.

Usually I attempt not to be excessively literal with a concept and to a degree, this design approaches the company it serves very literally, however it does it in a way that integrates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as a description of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancement to the name that helps make it more captivating, more attention grabbing and more meaningful.

logo layout with a leaping environment-friendly frog created for a family members fun facility in Clovis.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a really fun project to work on, probably because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the usual of the types of jobs which come my way, I’ve produced dozens of logo designs for health care providers, dental practices, and lawyers but Cool Springz is without question the only trampoline park which I have actually ever gotten the privilege to work on.

Given that the title of the company has the word springz in its name the apparent choice would have been to incorporate a some springs into the design but Cool Springz is a fun place to go and spring does not actually resonate an atmosphere of fun does it. My thought process on this project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, inevitably I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the name itself to give the logo a much more lively high energy atmosphere.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my brainchild and named the frog Jax and included him in to everything they utilized for promotion and marketing. I also think this is the only time that a logo I created was turned into a mascot when they had a staff member costume fabricated to look exactly like my frog design.

photography logo design including a flock of birds, a mountain, a path, a stream, and also a tree - developed for Clovis traveling professional photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo project I took on for a travel photographer, which is a rather niche field of photography and I think it is a niche profession due to the fact that travel photographers tend not to capture places or things but rather communicate emotional experiences by means of the pictures they capture. The idea behind this logo design was to make use of negative space to reveal more than what was visible upon first view, which I think is representative of most good photographers in that they often share whole stories using their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a 1000 words but I think that some photographs convey a lot more than that because their photos often have an emotional fullness that can’t be communicated with mere words. I attempted to do something very similar to this logo design by making use of the positive space in the design to voice one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was communicated through the first impression. I think, in looking back, that my objective was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Clovis logo but also to illustrate the depth of her art and in the way that she views the world through the lens of her camera.

Clovis logo design with a seagull made use of for the letter A. Designed for a wireless retail organisation.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The majority of logo design jobs that I take on I really take pleasure in and the Coastal Wireless project was one that I really felt good about, but the client didn’t quite share my enthusiasm for it. I felt really good about the concept of using the seagull silhouette as a stroke in the character A but my customer, while he liked the concept, didn’t care for my choice of birds. This man truly hated seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, thankfully the rest of his family members didn’t share his hatred for this specific breed of sea bird.

When I turn a concept over to a customer I urge all of them to talk about it with colleagues and family as well as with individuals that they don’t actually know so as to get unprejudiced point of views on the merit of a design. Fortunately, he talked about it with his whole family and they loved the concept and were able to persuade him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to incorporate every other seabird he could think of … eventually I was able to talk him out of his choice of a pelican and he went with the original concept.

Custom logo designs are a weird creature in the design world because the people that tend to hire an expert to design their logo recognize how vital a logo design is for their organization so they are way more vested in the outcome. Every logo project has it’s share of difficulties, however the greatest obstacle is finding that sweet spot in a design that works really well at the job it’s needed to do in branding a company and also providing the client the identity they see for themselves.

a red panda logo layout with bamboo in the background, design for Clovis publication publisher

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a narrow slice of real estate to work with, however it really is the most critical part of a published book considering that it is ordinarily the initial thing a person sees in the book store. Regarding a publisher, it’s the best opportunity that they will ever have to spotlight their product and get their logo design in front of the individuals that purchase actual books.

This 3 color design is vibrant, colorful and eye-catching and it gives plenty of area for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo design designed for an airline in Los Angeles, the logo design has 2 letter A's with the bars customized to suggest they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines come and go but it looks like that in many instances 1 of the traits people tend to recall the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a smaller start-up commuter/shuttle air service based in LA and although I’m not certain it really “took off” their logo design didn’t slow them. The bookend A’s in their brand lent itself well to imparting a good sense of flight and it was certainly a success.

Clovis logo layout used for advertising and marketing as well as a tag style for Vintage Case includes an archaic font style layout.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in all new cases for music instruments, that seemed to be vintage cases. For this business logo concept I attempted to come up with a logo that offered a fluid retro feel to it and could be utilized for every thing from a web page to an insignia on brand new cases that looked like they were from another point in time.

Logo created for an orthodontist in Clovis, layout consist of an arc with lines intersecting via it to imply metal dental braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental care logos can easily be one of the most difficult logo design projects considering that it appears that every dental professional integrates a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dentistry logo designs are one of the most cliche ridden professions when it comes to small business marketing, if restaurants approached their advertising in the same way dental professionals do every one of their logos would be a picture trying to explain something they served, McDonalds would most likely have an image of a potato and a cow.

I understand the thinking behind incorporating a likeness of something mouth related to a dentist’s logo but it has to be done subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dental professionals logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental industry.

I really enjoy doing dental business logos simply because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies the field of dentistry or a certain field of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the stereotypical approach that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics delivered such an opportunity and eventually I created a concept that does not have a solitary smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t obvious, they are still implied in the concept. When I turned this design over to the client the only smile that was obvious was the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo design developed for a family not-for-profit, the logo features 4 personalities startled in elevation to represent a family unit with in the design.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation asked ImageCo to help them come up with a logo that would be depictive of the love that William McNally had for the people residing in his city. Most logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain depictions of a happy family, a cliche heavy method to any logo design is to be overly literal about what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve found that the best designs are the ones that are understated and don’t hit the viewer on the head with what the company or institution wants to project.

The McNally Foundation’s name provided a distinct opportunity to do a logo design which communicated that they were about families without being overtly cheesy about it. The aim of a logo design is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer makes an effort to use the logo to summarize precisely how individuals ought to think or feel they don’t understand the purpose of a logo. If people have to consider a logo design to understand what it means, it has fallen short, a logo needs to be instantly understood and a logo design that illustrates itself will never have the chance to be comprehended.

Logo layout developed for a hair layout studio featuring a script font a hummingbird and also an indicated orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios desired a logo which carried an atmosphere of peace and class for their new hair studio. I created a design that didn’t go the obvious direction of designing just a stylized orchid but alternatively crafted a logo that suggested an orchid in the pattern of a swirl integrated in to the letter O in the name and by placing attention on the concept using the silhouette of a hummingbird hovering above the image itself. The obvious path in designing a business logo is more often than not the incorrect direction and in this case, the design ended up not being about the flower but instead placed the main focus on the feeling that they really wanted to forecast to their patrons.

Arabian equine logo design developed for an equine ranch that concentrates on breeding Arabian show equines.

Dazzo Arabians | Logo Design

ImageCo created a distinct organization logo design styled to embody the unique physical traits of the Arabian breed of equines. By having an unique head form and higher tail carriage, the Arabian is one of the very most immediately recognizable equine breeds in the entire world.

Logo design for a software application developer the layout attributes and also famous element of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the principal component of an operating system (OS). Generally, the kernel is responsible for memory management, process and task management, and hard drive management. The kernel attaches the system hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that functions as a connection in between the software program and computer hardware.

The logo design I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is located a number of miles from the offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to spell out anything to anyone with regards to what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. But it intimated something to the business owner of the company and in many cases the meaning behind a logo design is equally as important as how it brands the business it represents.

A logo style featuring an angler in the middle of the name casting a fly towards the visitor.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brands like Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in over 7 billion a year offering goods and equipment to outdoor sporting enthusiasts the owners of On the Fly understood the market was primed for an outdoor sporting store that operates as a consignment business. Whether or not you are into boating, angling or mountain climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly provides a place for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all sorts of passions, a location to sell off their used goods to other sports enthusiasts. I created their Clovis business logo dsign utilizing a graphic which pulls in the attention of vehicles and projects an image that wakens the passion of the outdoors. With traffic that averages forty five miles per hour I knew it would take more than the typical logo/sign to get commuters to take notice, hence the graphic of a fly fisherman in his natural and serene habitat.
Logo style MQ ranches, this logo style has actually an area integrated into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms custom logo concept wasn’t really produced for an Clovis regional farm it was actually devised for a products broker, and this logo design was one of a handful of which fell underneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The aim was really to produce a graphic that projects esteem, effectiveness, and luxury.
Logo designed for making use of a sign for the dining establishment (Brewgrrs), it is an elaborate script typeface that is similar to a famous sports team logo.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I have crafted loads of restaurant business logos and business signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the United States, from cupcake bake shops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I think Brewgrrs was my favorite. Brewgrrs was a neat project in which I worked closely with the business owner to produce a logo design that worked really well and did a great job to brand them, it worked on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the lighted sign that hung above their doors, and was highly visible and very legible from over a block away.
