Coachella, California Logo Design

Nearly every new Coachella organization realizes that they need a logo, yet few entrepreneurs fully recognize the vital role their company logo can play in their financial success, or exactly why one business logo works far better than another. A logo design has a critical and lasting impact on the financial success of a company, select the right one and it can make the door swing and cash register ring, go with the incorrect one and it can be a barrier and an impediment for the longevity of a business.

The logos included in the ImageCo portfolio help Coachella, California businesses succeed, they are effective in any given circumstance and the reason they are so effective is that they all have these five traits in common.

  1. Simplicity: simple logos do not demand consideration, they can be comprehended in just a look.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to signboards a scalable logo will remain legible and just as emotive at virtually any size.
  3. Versatility: logos that operate on any sort of device, in print, on product packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are exclusive, and they are suitable for the enterprise they represent.
  5. Relevance: a company logo must be enduring and should feel relevant today, tomorrow, and twenty five years from today.

Logo PORTFOLIO Volume 1

Retro logo style of a bike created for a Coachella, California coffee cafe and a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This startup coffee roaster and coffee shop were actually opening up in an older part of the community and hoped to project an old-fashioned vibe without coming across as monotonous or low energy. I achieved both of these jobs by means of designing a custom logo design that incorporates a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is antiquated, high energy, and is a timeless business image.

clinical logo style with a microscopic lense slide as well as germs made for Coachella, California clinical center.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the scientific discipline that studies the triggers and effects of diseases, especially the branch of healthcare that deals with the laboratory evaluation of samplings of human body tissue for diagnostic or forensic reasons.

The Mid-Valley Pathology logo I came up with is the sole instance I remember where I was in a position to incorporate a bacteria-laden microscope slide within a logo design.

Typically I attempt not to be extremely literal with a concept and to a point, this design approaches the company it serves rather literally, yet it does it in a way that incorporates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an explanation of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancement to the name that makes it more captivating, more attention grabbing and much more memorable.

logo design with a jumping green frog designed for a family enjoyable facility in Coachella, California.

Cool Springs | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a really fun project to work on, most likely because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the usual of the kinds of projects which come my way, I’ve done dozens of logo designs for surgeons, dentists, and lawyers but Cool Springz is without question the one and only trampoline park that I have ever had the privilege to work on.

Given that the title of the business has the word springz in its name the obvious choice would have been to incorporate a couple of springs into the design but Cool Springz is a fun location to go and spring does not really reflect an environment of fun does it. My thought process on this project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, eventually I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the title itself to give the logo a more dynamic high energy impression.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my design and named the frog Jax and included him in to everything they utilized for marketing and advertising. I also believe this is the only time that a logo I came up with was made into a mascot when they had a staff member costume fashioned to look just like my frog design.

digital photography logo including a group of birds, a hill, a route, a stream, as well as a tree - developed for Coachella, California traveling professional photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo project I took on for a travel photographer, which is a fairly niche field of photography and I believe it is a niche speciality due to the fact that travel photographers don’t capture locations or things but rather communicate emotional journeys by means of the pictures they capture. The thought behind this logo design was to make use of negative space to convey more than what was visible upon first glance, which I think is quintessential of most good photographers in that they oftentimes tell whole stories through their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a 1000 words but I think that some photographs convey much more than that because their photos frequently have an emotional resonance that can’t be communicated with mere words. I made an effort to do something comparable to this logo design by employing the positive space in the design to voice one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was communicated through the first impression. I think, in hindsight, that my goal was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Coachella logo but also to show the depth in her work and in the way that she sees the world through the lens of her camera.

Coachella logo style with a seagull made use of for the letter A. Designed for a cordless retail organisation.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The bulk of custom logo design jobs that I take on I truly take pleasure in and the Coastal Wireless assignment was one that I really felt good about, however the customer didn’t quite share my excitement for it. I felt really good about the idea of using the seagull form as a stroke in the letter A but my customer, even though he loved the concept, really did not care for my choice of birds. This particular man genuinely despised seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, luckily the rest of his family didn’t share his hatred for this particular kind of sea bird.

When I turn a concept over to a customer I encourage them to discuss it with friends and family as well as with other people that they don’t even know so as to get unprejudiced point of views on the value of a design concept. Fortunately, he discussed it with his family members and they really liked the design and were able to reason with him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to include every other seabird he could think of … eventually I was able to talk him out of his preference of a pelican and he went with the original concept.

Business logos are a strange creature in the design world because the people that are inclined to hire a professional to create their logo design comprehend how important a logo is for their business so they are way more invested in the final result. Every logo job possesses it’s allotment of hurdles, however the largest challenge is finding that sweet spot in a design that operates really well at the task it’s needed to do in branding a business and also providing the client the identity they see for themselves.

a red panda logo layout with bamboo in the background, design for Coachella, California book author

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a cramped slice of real estate to work with, nevertheless it is the most critical part of a printed book because it is in most cases the initial thing a person views in the book store. With respect to a publisher, it’s the opportunity that they will ever get to spotlight their brand and get their logo design in front of the men and women that buy actual books.

This 3 color design is vivid, picturesque and eye-catching and it leaves plenty of space for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo designed for an airline company in Los Angeles, the logo design has two letter A's with the bars modified to suggest they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines come and depart however it looks like that in many instances 1 of the things consumers tend to remember the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a modest new venture commuter/shuttle air service situated in LA and although I’m not sure it really “took off” their logo design didn’t ground them. The bookend A’s in their title lent itself well to confering a good sense of flight and it was definitely a victory.

Coachella logo design utilized for advertising as well as a tag layout for Vintage Instance includes an antiquated typeface layout.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in brand new cases for musical instruments, that seemed to be vintage cases. For this logo concept I sought to come up with a logo that possessed a fluid old-fashioned feel to it and could easily be utilized for anything from a web site to an insignia on brand new cases that appeared like they were from another generation.

Logo produced for an orthodontist in Coachella, California, layout include an arc with lines intersecting via it to suggest metal braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental business logos can be one of the most challenging and difficult logo projects considering that it appears that every single dentist involves a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dentistry business logos are one of the most cliche ridden professions when it comes to company advertising, if restaurants approached their advertising in the very same way dental offices do every one of their logos would be a picture trying to explain something they served, McDonalds would most likely include a picture of a potato and a cow.

I recognize the thinking behind adding a likeness of something mouth related to a dentist’s logo design but it has to be done subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dental professionals logo that litter the branding landscape of the dentistry industry.

I really really love doing dental business logos simply because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies the field of dentistry or a specific field of the field of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the clichéd course of action that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics delivered such an opportunity and inevitably I created a design that does not have a single smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t obvious, they are still suggested in the design. When I turned this design over to the customer the only smile that was obvious was the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo created for a family nonprofit, the logo design includes 4 personalities staggered in elevation to stand for a family unit with in the layout.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation asked ImageCo to help them come up with a logo that would be illustrative of the love that William McNally had for the families in his community. The majority of logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain pictures of a happy family, a cliche heavy approach to any logo design is to be far too literal pertaining to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve found that the best concepts are the ones that are downplayed and don’t hit the viewer on the head with what the business or institution wants to relate.

The McNally Foundation’s name offered a distinct opportunity to do a logo which conveyed that they were about families without being openly cheesy about it. The aim of a logo is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer makes an effort to use the logo design to explain specifically how individuals ought to think or feel they don’t understand the objective of a logo. If viewers have to consider a logo design to understand what it means, it has fallen short, a logo needs to be immediately comprehended and a logo that describes itself will never have the likelihood to be understood.

Logo design created for a hair layout studio featuring a script font a hummingbird as well as an indicated orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios wanted a logo which carried a sense of relaxation and class for their new hair salon. I came up with a design which did not go the obvious path of creating just a stylized orchid but alternatively created a logo design that implied a flower in the formation of a swirl featured into the letter O in the title and by placing attention on the logo design with the silhouette of a hummingbird floating over the logo itself. The obvious path in designing a business logo is oftentimes the incorrect route and in this case, the design ended up not being about the orchid but alternately laid the attention on the perception that they wanted to transmit to their patrons.

Arabian equine logo design created for a steed cattle ranch that specializes in reproducing Arabian show equines.

Dazzo Arabians | Logo Design

ImageCo designed a one-of-a-kind business logo design tailored to symbolize the unique physical traits of the Arabian breed of horses. With a different head shape and higher tail posture, the Arabian is one of the very most immediately recognizable equine types in the entire world.

Las Cafe logo style a little dining establishment, style includes a customized script typeface which hovers above a group of ornate lines and dots.

Logo layout for a software program designer the design attributes as well as iconic component of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the central component of an operating system (OS). Generally, the kernel is responsible for memory management, process and task management, and disk operations. The kernel attaches the computer hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that performs as a connection in between the software program and computer hardware.

The logo design I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is located a couple of miles from the offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to point out anything to anyone regarding what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. However, it meant something to the owner of the company and in many cases the substance supporting a business logo is equally as important as how it serves the business it represents.

Progress logo style produced for a Coachella, California indoor developer, design function a collection of red circles that intersect and change the letter O in the middle of the logo style.

A logo style featuring a fisherman in the center of the name casting a fly in the direction of the audience.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brand names such as Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in more than 7 billion a year retailing goods and equipment to outdoor sporting lovers the owners of On the Fly understood the market was primed for an outdoor sporting store that functions as a consignment company. Whether or not you are into boating, angling or rock climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly presents a place for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all kinds of interests, a spot to sell their previously owned items to other sports enthusiasts. I created their Coachella business logo dsign with a graphic which garners the interest of vehicles and sends an image that wakens the enthusiasm of the outdoors. With traffic that averages 45 mph I realized it would take more than the typical logo/sign to get commuters to take notice, hence the graphic of a fly fisherman in his natural and calm habitat.
Logo layout MQ ranches, this logo style has an area integrated right into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms emblem design wasn’t really designed for an Coachella, California area farm it was really created for a commodities broker, and this company logo was one of a handful of which fell under the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The end goal was really to make a graphic that projected confidence, success, and affluence.

Coachella Logo design for a not-for-profit, Turning Point Solutions - the logo design feature for ostensibly facing arrowhead and also the arrowheads indicate that it is a ruby shape.

Turning Point Foundation | Logo Design

The Turning Point Foundation was entirely open to what type of logo design they preferred, this can be a good thing or a bad thing. Good in that it grants a designer the liberty to investigate any concept that comes to mind, bad in that it’s hard to hit a bullseye in the absence of realizing where exactly the target is. Luckily, in this instance, I hit a bullseye with the 1st try.

Logo designed for making use of a sign for the dining establishment (Brewgrrs), it is an ornate manuscript typeface that is reminiscent of a popular sporting activities group logo design.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I’ve designed loads of restaurant custom logo designs and establishment signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the US, from cupcake bakeshops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I believe Brewgrrs was my favorite. Brewgrrs was a neat undertaking in which I worked directly with the owner to produce a business logo which worked very well and did a great job to brand them, it worked on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the neon sign which hung above their doors, and was highly visible and very legible from over a block away.
