Concord Logo Design

Nearly every new Concord venture knows they need a logo, but few entrepreneurs entirely realize the pivotal role their organization logo will take in their success, or exactly why one business logo performs far better than another. A logo design has an instant and lasting influence on the financial success of a company, select the correct one and it can make the door swing and cash register ring, go with the wrong one and it can be a barrier and an impediment for the life of a company. The logos included in the ImageCo portfolio help Concord businesses succeed, they are effective in any given situation and the reason why they are so effective is that they all have these 5 things in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logos don’t require deliberation, they can be comprehended in merely a glance.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to billboards a scalable business logo will continue to be legible and just as emotive at every size.
  3. Versatility: logos that work on any sort of device, in print, on packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are personal, and they are suitable for the business they represent.
  5. Relevance: a logo design needs to be timeless and will feel relevant today, tomorrow, and 20 years from now.

Retro logo layout of a bicycle created for a Concord coffee cafe and a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This start-up coffee roaster and coffee bar were opening in an old section of the town and wished to project a vintage atmosphere without coming across as uninteresting or low energy. I accomplished each of the tasks via designing a company logo concept that incorporates a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is antiquated, higher energy, and is a classic business image.

clinical logo design with a microscope slide and germs made for Concord medical center.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the scientific discipline that researches the root causes and effects of diseases, especially the branch of healthcare that deals with the laboratory assessment of specimens of human body tissue for diagnostic or forensic purposes.

The Mid-Valley Pathology logo I came up with is the sole instance I recollect where I was in a position to integrate a bacteria-laden microscope slide right into a logo design.

Usually I try not to be extremely literal with a concept and to a degree, this design approaches the company it represents quite literally, yet it does it in a fashion that integrates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as a description of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancement to the brand that makes it more captivating, more attention grabbing and a lot more memorable.

logo style with a leaping eco-friendly frog made for a family enjoyable facility in Concord.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a really cool project to work on, probably because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the norm of the types of jobs that come my way, I’ve produced dozens of logo designs for medical professionals, dental experts, and legal professionals but Cool Springz is without question the one and only trampoline park which I have ever gotten the privilege to work on.

Given that the name of the business has the word springz in its name the obvious choice would have been to include a couple springs into the design but Cool Springz is a fun location to go and spring doesn’t really resonate an atmosphere of fun does it. My thought process on this logo project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, eventually I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the name itself to provide the logo a much more enthusiastic high energy feeling.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my brainchild and named the frog Jax and integrated him in to everything they used for advertising and marketing. I also think this is the only time that a logo I came up with was transformed into a mascot when they had a staff member costume fashioned to look exactly like my frog design.

photography logo featuring a flock of birds, a mountain, a path, a stream, and also a tree - created for Concord travel photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a custom logo design job I took on for a travel photographer, which is a rather specialized field of photography and I think it is a niche sector because travel photographers tend not to shoot places or things but rather convey emotional experiences by means of the photos they capture. The thought behind this logo concept was to use negative space to communicate more than what was visible upon initial view, which I think is quintessential of the majority of good photographers in that they frequently share entire stories using their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a thousand words but I think that some photographs convey much more than that because their photos frequently have an emotional fullness that can’t be conveyed with just words. I attempted to do something very similar to this logo design by making use of the positive space in the design to suggest one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was conveyed through the first impression. I think, in looking back, that my goal was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Concord logo design but also to illustrate the depth to her art and in the way that she views the world through the lens of her camera.

Concord logo layout with a seagull utilized for the letter A. Designed for a cordless retail company.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The bulk of custom logo design jobs that I take on I honestly take pleasure in and the Coastal Wireless project was one that I really felt good about, but the client didn’t quite share my excitement for it. I felt really good about the concept of using the seagull shape as a stroke in the character A however the customer, while he loved the concept, really did not care for my choice of birds. This particular guy seriously loathed seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, fortunately the rest of his friends and family didn’t share his aversion for this particular kind of sea bird.

When I turn a concept over to a client I urge them to share it with colleagues and family members as well as with individuals that they don’t even know so as to get objective viewpoints on the value of a concept. Fortunately, he shared it with his whole family and they really liked the design and were able to reason with him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to insert every other seabird he could think of … ultimately I was able to talk him out of his choice of a pelican and he proceeded with the original design.

Logo designs are a weird creature in the design world given that the people that tend to hire a professional to design their logo design recognize how essential a logo is for their business so they are way more invested in the outcome. Every logo design project possesses it’s allotment of hurdles, however the greatest challenge is finding that sweet spot in a design that functions really well at the job it’s required to do in branding a company and also giving the customer the identity they see for themselves.

a red panda logo style with bamboo behind-the-scenes, design for Concord book author

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a thin segment of real estate to work with, but it really is the most essential part of a published book due to the fact that it is in most cases the initial thing a person sees in the bookstore. Regarding a publisher, it’s the opportunity they will likely ever have to promote their product and get their logo design in front of the individuals that buy actual books.

This three color design is vibrant, colorful and eye-catching and it leaves plenty of space for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo developed for an airline company in Los Angeles, the logo design has 2 letter A's with the bars customized to suggest they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines arrive and depart however it seems like that in many cases one of the traits individuals tend to recollect the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a smaller new venture commuter/shuttle air service based in LA and while I’m not certain it actually “took off” their logo didn’t slow them. The bookend A’s in their name lent itself well to conferring a good sense of air travel and it was undoubtedly a success.

Concord logo design made use of for advertising and marketing as well as a label design for Vintage Situation includes an old-fashioned font style.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case focused in all new cases for musical instruments, which looked to be vintage cases. For this custom logo concept I attempted to come up with a logo that offered a fluid old style feel to it and could easily be utilized for anything from a web page to a label on brand new cases that looked like they were from another generation.

Logo design created for an orthodontist in Concord, layout include an arc with lines converging via it to indicate metal braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dentistry logo designs can easily be one of the most challenging and difficult logo design projects considering that it seems that virtually every dental professional involves a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dentistry business logos are one of the very most cliche ridden fields when it comes to small business advertising, if dining establishments approached their advertising in the very same way dental practitioners do every one of their company logos would definitely be a picture explaining anything they served, McDonalds would probably contain an image of a potato and a cow.

I understand the thinking behind including an image of something mouth related to a dentist’s logo nevertheless it has to be done subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dental professionals logo that litter the branding landscape of the dentistry industry.

I really love doing dental business logos because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies the field of dentistry or a particular area of dental treatment like orthodontics without resorting to the clichéd course of action that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics delivered such an opportunity and eventually I created a design that doesn’t have a single smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t overt, they are still suggested in the concept. When I turned this particular concept over to the customer the only smile that was obvious was the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo created for a household nonprofit, the logo design features 4 personalities startled in elevation to stand for a family unit with in the design.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation contacted ImageCo to help them come up with a custom logo design that would be illustrative of the devotion that William McNally had for the families in his city. The majority of logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain images of a happy family, a cliche heavy method to any logo design is to be far too literal with regards to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve found that the best concepts are the ones that are downplayed and don’t hit the viewer on the head with what the company or institution hopes to project.

The McNally Foundation’s name provided a unique opportunity to do a custom logo design that communicated that they were about families without being openly corny about it. The goal of a logo design is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer makes an effort to use the logo design to illustrate precisely how people ought to think or feel they don’t understand the mission of a logo. If viewers have to consider a logo to understand what it means, it has failed, a logo needs to be instantly understood and a logo design that explains itself won’t have the likelihood to be understood.

Logo layout produced for a hair design studio featuring a manuscript font a hummingbird as well as an implied orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios required a business logo that projected an atmosphere of serenity and elegance for their new hair salon. I came up with a concept which did not go the obvious course of designing merely a stylized orchid but instead designed a logo design which suggested an orchid in the pattern of a swirl integrated into the letter O in the title and by placing attention on the logo design with the figure of a hummingbird hovering above the logo design itself. The obvious path in designing a company logo is usually the incorrect direction and in this case, the design ended up not being about the flower but alternately laid the attention on the perception that they really wanted to project to their customers.

Dazzo Arabians | Logo Design

Logo style for a software program programmer the layout functions and famous aspect of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the principal component of an operating system (OS). Typically, the kernel is responsible for memory administration, process and task control, and drive operations. The kernel links the system hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that functions as a bridge in between the software and computer hardware.

The business logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is located a few miles from the business offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to describe anything to anyone regarding what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. However, it intimated something to the business owner of the business and in quite a few cases the symbolism supporting a logo is equally as important as how it brands the business it represents.

Advance logo design developed for a Concord indoor designer, style feature a series of red circles that intersect and change the letter O in the center of the logo design.

logo design done for Advanced Management Solutions, the personalities for letter V as well as A in middle of the word advanced have been changed to tie straight right into words below.

A logo layout including a fisherman in the middle of the name casting a fly towards the viewer.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brand names like Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in more than 7 billion a year retailing supplies and equipment to outdoor sporting enthusiasts the owners of On the Fly knew the market place was primed for an outdoor sporting merchant that operates as a consignment company. Whether you are into boating, fishing or rock climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly presents a location for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all kinds of interests, a place to market their pre-owned goods to other sports enthusiasts. I designed their Concord logo dsign with an image that seizes the attention of traffic and projects an image that invokes the enthusiasm of the outdoors. With traffic that averages forty five mph I realized it would take more than the average logo/sign to get commuters to take notice, hence the picture of a fly fisherman in his natural and serene habitat.
Logo layout MQ farms, this logo design has an area integrated right into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms company logo idea wasn’t actually created for an Concord area farm it was really devised for a commodities broker, and this particular creative logo was one of several that fell under the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The end goal was actually to create a brand mark that projects confidence, financial success, and wealth.
Logo developed for making use of an indication for the restaurant (Brewgrrs), it is a luxuriant manuscript font that is similar to a popular sports team logo.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I’ve created dozens of restaurant logos and establishment signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the United States, from cupcake bakeshops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I think Brewgrrs was my favorite. Brewgrrs was a cool undertaking in which I worked directly with the proprietor to design a logo that worked extremely well and did a great job to brand them, it functioned on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the lighted sign which hung over their doors, and was highly visible and very legible from over a block away.
