Escondido Logo Design

Each and every new Escondido organization understands that they need a logo, yet few new business owners fully recognize the essential role their organization logo will make in their financial success, or the reason that one business logo performs more effectively than another. A business logo has an immediate and long-term influence on the growth of a company, select the correct one and it can make the door swing and cash register ring, choose the incorrect one and it can be an obstacle and a hindrance for the life span of a company. The logos presented in the ImageCo portfolio help Escondido companies succeed, they are effective in any given situation and the main reason they are so effective is because they all have these 5 features in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logo designs don’t demand scrutiny, they can be understood in merely a look.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to posters a scalable logo will continue to be legible and just as emotive at virtually any dimension.
  3. Versatility: logos that operate on any type of device, in print, on packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball-cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are exclusive, and they are suitable for the enterprise they represent.
  5. Relevance: a logo design needs to be timeless and will feel relevant today, tomorrow, and forty years from now.

Retro logo style of a bike created for a Escondido coffee cafe and a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This start-up coffee roaster and coffee bar were launching in an older section of the city and wished to cast a retro tone without coming across as uninteresting or low energy. I achieved each of the jobs by designing a custom logo concept that uses a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is antiquated, higher energy, and is a classic business image.

clinical logo design with a microscope slide and also germs created for Escondido clinical facility.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the science that studies the causes and consequences of diseases, mainly the field of medicine that works with the laboratory examination of specimens of body tissue for diagnostic or forensic purposes.

The Mid-Valley Pathology custom logo design I came up with is the only instance I remember in which I was able to integrate a bacteria-laden microscope slide right into a logo design.

Generally I try not to be excessively literal with a concept and to a point, this specific design approaches the company it serves fairly literally, however it does it in a fashion that integrates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an illustration of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancer to the brand that helps make it more intriguing, more attention grabbing and a lot more memorable.

logo style with a leaping environment-friendly frog made for a household enjoyable facility in Escondido.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a very fun project to work on, probably because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the norm of the types of jobs that come my way, I’ve done dozens of logo designs for physicians, dental experts, and legal professionals but Cool Springz is without question the one and only trampoline park that I have ever had the opportunity to work on.

Given that the full name of the business features the word springz in its name the apparent choice would have been to include a few springs into the concept but Cool Springz is a fun location to go and spring does not really resonate an atmosphere of fun does it. My thought process on this project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, eventually I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the title itself to give the logo a more dynamic high energy atmosphere.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my design and named the frog Jax and featured him in to everything they used for marketing. I also believe this is the only time that a logo I created was transformed into a mascot when they had a staff member costume fashioned to look just like my frog design.

digital photography logo including a group of birds, a hill, a route, a stream, as well as a tree - designed for Escondido traveling digital photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo design job I took on for a travel photographer, which is a fairly specialized field of photography and I believe it is a niche field due to the fact that travel photographers tend not to shoot places or things but instead communicate emotional journeys by means of the photos they capture. The idea behind this logo composition was to use negative space to communicate more than what was visible upon initial glance, which I think is representative of the majority of good photographers in that they oftentimes tell whole stories using their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a 1000 words but I think that some photographs convey considerably more than that because their photos often have an emotional fullness which can’t be revealed with just words. I tried to do something the same to this logo by making use of the positive space in the design to say one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was communicated through the first impression. I think, in hindsight, that my goal was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Escondido logo but also to reveal the depth of her art and in the way that she views the world through the lens of her camera.

Escondido logo style with a seagull used for the letter A. Designed for a wireless retail company.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The lion’s share of business logo design jobs that I take on I honestly take pleasure in and the Coastal Wireless design was one that I certainly felt good about, but the client didn’t quite share my excitement for it. I felt really good about the concept of using the seagull shape as a stroke in the letter A however the customer, even though he loved the concept, didn’t care for my choice of birds. This particular man really despised seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, fortunately the rest of his friends and family didn’t share his hatred for this particular breed of sea bird.

When I turn a concept over to a client I urge all of them to discuss it with colleagues and family members as well as with folks that they don’t actually know so as to get impartial viewpoints on the value of a design. Fortunately, he talked about it with his family members and they loved the concept and were able to persuade him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to insert every other seabird he could think of … in the end I was able to talk him out of his preference of a pelican and he went with the original design.

Logo designs are a strange animal in the design world because the people that are inclined to hire a professional to design their logo recognize how essential a logo is for their organization so they are much more invested in the outcome. Every logo job has it’s portion of obstacles, however the biggest challenge is identifying that sweet spot in a design that operates really well at the job it’s needed to do in branding a company and also giving the client the identity they see for themselves.

a red panda logo style with bamboo in the background, design for Escondido book author

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a narrow segment of real estate to work with, nevertheless it really is the most important part of a printed book since it is usually the primary thing a person sees in the bookstore. With regard to a publisher, it’s the opportunity that they will likely ever get to spotlight their product and get their logo design in front of the people that purchase actual books.

This 3 color design is vivid, colorful and eye-catching and it gives plenty of room for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo design developed for an airline in Los Angeles, the logo design has 2 letter A's with the bars modified to imply they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines arrive and go nevertheless it seems that in many instances one of the items individuals often tend to recollect the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a small fledgling commuter/shuttle air service situated in LA and while I’m not certain it actually “took off” their business logo didn’t ground them. The bookend A’s in their name lent itself well to imparting a good sense of flight and it was certainly a winner.

Escondido logo design made use of for advertising as well as a tag design for Vintage Situation features an antiquated typeface layout.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in new cases for musical instruments, that looked to be vintage cases. For this logo concept I tried to come up with a logo that possessed a fluid old style feel to it and could easily be used for anything from a web page to a label on brand new cases that appeared like they were from another era.

Logo design created for an orthodontist in Escondido, style include an arc with lines converging via it to indicate metal braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dentistry logo designs can be one of the most challenging and difficult logo projects because it appears that each and every dental professional integrates a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dental business logos are one of the very most cliche ridden fields when it comes to small business branding, if dining establishments approached their advertising in the exact same way dental professionals do every one of their company logos would definitely be a picture explaining something they served, McDonalds would probably include a picture of a potato and a cow.

I understand the thinking behind incorporating a likeness of something mouth associated to a dentist’s logo design but it has to be done subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dental professionals logo that litter the branding landscape of the dentistry industry.

I actually love doing dental care business logos because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies dentistry or a certain field of dental treatment like orthodontics without resorting to the clichéd approach that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics provided such an opportunity and ultimately I created a concept that does not have a solitary smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t overt, they are still suggested in the design. When I turned this particular design over to the customer the only smile that was apparent was the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo design created for a family members not-for-profit, the logo includes 4 characters startled in height to represent a family with in the design.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation reached out to ImageCo to help them come up with a logo that would be depictive of the devotion that William McNally had for the residents in his city. Many logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain pictures of a happy family, a cliche heavy technique to any logo design is to be far too literal with regards to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve found that the best concepts are the ones that are downplayed and never hit the viewer on the head with what the business or organization hopes to relate.

The McNally Foundation’s name offered a distinct opportunity to do a logo which conveyed that they were about families without being overtly corny about it. The intention of a logo is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer attempts to use the logo design to illustrate specifically how people should think or feel they don’t understand the goal of a logo. If you have to consider a logo design to understand what it means, it has failed, a logo needs to be immediately understood and a logo that describes itself won’t have the likelihood to be understood.

Logo style produced for a hair style workshop including a script font a hummingbird and also an indicated orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios required a company logo that communicated a feeling of peace and class for their new hair salon. I created a concept that didn’t go the obvious path of crafting simply a stylized orchid but rather crafted a business logo that implied an orchid in the formation of a swirl incorporated into the letter O in the name and by putting emphasis on the logo design with the figure of a hummingbird floating over the logo itself. The obvious path in creating a logo design is frequently the wrong path and in this case, the design ended up not being about the orchid but alternately laid the focus on the perception that they wanted to project to their clients.

Logo design for a software program developer the style functions and legendary element of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the central component of an operating system (OS). Typically, the kernel is responsible for memory management, process and task control, and drive managing. The kernel connects the computer hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that performs as a connection in between the software program and hardware.

The logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is situated a number of miles from the offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to describe anything to anyone pertaining to what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. However it represented something to the owner of the company and in quite a few cases the symbolism behind a logo is just as important as how it serves the company it represents.

A logo design featuring a fisherman in the middle of the name casting a fly towards the visitor.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brand names such as Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in more than 7 billion a year selling supplies and equipment to outdoor sporting enthusiasts the founders of On the Fly recognized the market was prepared for an outdoor sporting merchant that functions as a consignment business. Whether you are into boating, fishing or mountain climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly provides a destination for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all types of interests, a place to sell off their pre-owned items to other sports enthusiasts. I created their Escondido logo dsign utilizing an image which garners the attention of traffic and projects an image that arouses the passion of the outdoors. With traffic that averages forty five mph I knew it would take more than the average logo/sign to get commuters to take notice, hence the image of a fly fisherman in his natural and serene habitat.
Logo style MQ ranches, this logo style has actually an area incorporated right into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms business logo concept wasn’t actually composed for an Escondido regional farm it was really designed for a commodities broker, and this company logo was one of multiple which fell beneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The end goal was to generate an identity that projects confidence, success, and opulence.
Logo made for making use of an indication for the dining establishment (Brewgrrs), it is an ornate manuscript typeface that is reminiscent of a famous sports team logo design.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I have designed loads of restaurant logos and establishment signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the US, from cupcake bake shops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I think Brewgrrs was my absolute favorite. Brewgrrs was a great undertaking in which I worked closely with the business owner to create a logo that worked extremely well and did a fantastic job to brand them, it worked on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the neon signage which hung above their doors, and was highly visible and very easy to read from over a block away.
