Florin, California Logo Design

Each and every new Florin business professional understands that they require a logo, yet few new business owners fully realize the crucial role their company logo can take in their financial success, or why one logo design performs far better than another. A logo design has a critical and sustaining influence on the success of a business, select the right one and it can make the door swing and cash register ring, go with the wrong one and it can be a barrier and a hindrance for the life span of a company.

The logos included in the ImageCo portfolio help Florin, California companies prosper, they are effective in any given circumstance and the reason why they are so effective is because they all have these 5 features in common.

  1. Simplicity: simple logos do not require scrutiny, they can be grasped in merely a glimpse.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to signboards a scalable logo design will remain legible and just as emotive at virtually any size.
  3. Versatility: logos that work on any type of device, in print, on product packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball-cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are unique, and they are suitable for the business they represent.
  5. Relevance: a business logo should be enduring and will feel as relevant today, tomorrow, and thirty years from now.
Retro logo style of a bicycle created for a Florin, California coffee cafe and a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This startup coffee roaster and coffee shop were actually opening up in an older section of the town and hoped to visualize an old-fashioned tone without appearing as stodgy or low energy. I accomplished each of the tasks via designing a company logo concept that includes a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is old-fashioned, higher energy, and is a classic business image.

medical logo style with a microscope slide and bacteria created for Florin, California clinical clinic.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the scientific discipline which examines the causes and outcomes of diseases, mainly the branch of medicine which deals with the laboratory evaluation of samplings of body tissue for diagnostic or forensic reasons.

The Mid-Valley Pathology brand I came up with is really the only instance I recollect in which I was in a position to integrate a bacteria-laden microscope slide within a business logo design.

Usually I attempt not to be extremely literal with a design and to a point, this specific design approaches the company it serves rather literally, but it does it in a way that integrates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as a description of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancement to the name that makes it more interesting, more focus grabbing and more memorable.

logo layout with a jumping green frog created for a household fun center in Florin, California.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a very fun project to work on, most likely because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the norm of the types of jobs that come my way, I’ve produced dozens of logo designs for physicians, dentists, and attorneys but Cool Springz is without question the only trampoline park which I have actually ever gotten the privilege to work on.

Given that the title of the company features the word springz in its name the apparent choice would have been to incorporate a couple springs into the design but Cool Springz is a fun destination to go and spring doesn’t really reflect an atmosphere of fun does it. My thought process on this logo design project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, eventually I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the name itself to provide the logo a more lively high energy feeling.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my design and named the frog Jax and included him in to everything they utilized for advertising. I also believe this is the only time that a logo I came up with was made into a mascot when they had a staff member costume fashioned to look just like my frog design.

digital photography logo design including a group of birds, a mountain, a route, a stream, as well as a tree - designed for Florin, California traveling professional photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo design job I took on for a travel photographer, which is a rather niche field of photography and I think it is a niche field because travel photographers tend not to capture locations or things but rather reveal emotional journeys by means of the photos they record. The idea behind this logo concept was to use negative space to reveal more than what was visible upon initial glance, which I think is quintessential of the majority of professional photographers in that they oftentimes convey entire stories using their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a 1000 words but I think that some photographs convey significantly more than that because their photos often have an emotional resonance which can’t be revealed with just words. I attempted to do something the same to this logo design by utilizing the positive space in the design to say one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was conveyed through the first impression. I think, in hindsight, that my goal was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Florin logo design but also to reveal the depth to her work and in the way that she views the world through the lens of her camera.

Florin logo style with a seagull made use of for the letter A. Designed for a cordless retail organisation.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The majority of business logo design jobs that I take on I seriously enjoy and the Coastal Wireless design was one that I certainly felt good about, but the customer didn’t quite share my excitement for it. I felt really good about the idea of using the seagull silhouette as a stroke in the letter A but my customer, even though he loved the concept, really did not care for my choice of birds. This particular man really disliked seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, luckily the rest of his family members didn’t share his aversion for this particular breed of sea bird.

When I turn a design over to a client I encourage all of them to share it with friends and colleagues and family as well as with people that they don’t even know so as to get honest assessments on the merit of a concept. Fortunately, he talked about it with his whole family and they really loved the concept and were able to reason with him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to insert every other seabird he could think of … ultimately I was able to talk him out of his alternative of a pelican and he proceeded with the original design.

Business logos are a strange creature in the design world because the people that tend to hire an expert to create their logo realize how vital a logo design is for their company so they are much more invested in the end result. Every logo design project has it’s portion of obstacles, but the largest obstacle is finding that sweet spot in a design that functions really well at the job it’s required to do in branding a business and also providing the client the identity they see for themselves.

a red panda logo design with bamboo behind-the-scenes, design for Florin, California publication author

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a narrow piece of real estate to work with, yet it is the most critical part of a published book given that it is often the very first thing a person sees in the book store. With regard to a publisher, it’s the opportunity that they will ever get to publicize their product and get their logo design in front of the individuals that shop for actual books.

This three color design is vivid, picturesque and eye-catching and it gives plenty of area for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo design made for an airline in Los Angeles, the logo has 2 letter A's with the bars modified to indicate they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines arrive and depart nevertheless it seems that in many occurrences one of the aspects folks often tend to recollect the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a modest new venture commuter/shuttle airline company based in LA and although I’m not sure it really “took off” their logo didn’t ground them. The bookend A’s in their title lent itself well to affording a spirit of flight and it was certainly a success.

Florin logo style made use of for advertising and marketing as well as a tag design for Vintage Instance features an archaic font layout.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in brand-new cases for musical instruments, which looked to be much older cases. For this logo concept I tried to come up with a logo that provided a fluid retro feel to it and could be used for every thing from a web page to a label on brand new cases that seemed like they were from another generation.

Logo created for an orthodontist in Florin, California, layout consist of an arc with lines converging with it to imply steel dental braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental care business logos can be one of the most difficult logo design jobs considering that it appears that virtually every dentist integrates a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dental logo designs are one of the most cliche ridden fields when it comes to company marketing, if restaurants approached their branding in the same way dental practices do every one of their company logos would definitely be a picture trying to explain something they served, McDonalds would probably include an image of a potato and a cow.

I recognize the thinking behind including a likeness of something mouth associated to a dentist’s logo nevertheless it has to be done subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dentists logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental profession.

I actually love doing dentistry logos simply because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies dentistry or a particular area of dental treatment like orthodontics without resorting to the clichéd solution that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics delivered such an opportunity and eventually I created a concept that doesn’t have a solitary smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t obvious, they are still implied in the design. When I turned this design over to the customer the only smile that was evident was actually the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo designed for a household nonprofit, the logo design includes 4 characters surprised in height to stand for a family unit with in the layout.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation reached out to ImageCo to help them come up with a custom logo design that would be illustrative of the love that William McNally had for the folks in his city. Most logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain images of a happy family, a cliche heavy technique to any logo design is to be far too literal pertaining to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve discovered that the best designs are the ones that are understated and don’t hit the viewer on the head with what the company or organization wants to relate.

The McNally Foundation’s name offered a distinct opportunity to do a custom logo design which communicated that they were about families without being overtly cheesy about it. The goal of a logo design is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer makes an effort to use the logo design to illustrate exactly how individuals ought to think or feel they don’t understand the purpose of a logo. If people have to ponder a logo design to understand what it means, it has failed, a logo needs to be immediately comprehended and a logo that describes itself will never have the opportunity to be understood.

Logo design created for a hair layout studio including a script font a hummingbird and also an implied orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios required a business logo that carried a sense of calmness and class for their new hair studio. I came up with a design which did not go the obvious path of crafting just a stylized orchid but alternatively crafted a company logo which suggested a flower in the formation of a swirl integrated into the letter O in the title and by placing attention on the concept with the silhouette of a hummingbird floating over the logo itself. The obvious path in creating a logo design is in most cases the wrong direction and in this case, the design ended up not being about the flower but instead put the emphasis on the feeling that they wanted to forecast to their customers.

Logo style for a software application designer the layout features as well as legendary aspect of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the central part of an operating system (OS). Traditionally, the kernel is responsible for memory administration, process and task management, and drive management. The kernel unites the computer hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that functions as a bridge in between the software and computer hardware.

The logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is situated a couple of miles from the business offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to spell out anything to anyone regarding what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. However, it represented something to the business owner of the company and in quite a few cases the symbolism behind a business logo is equally as important as how it brands the company it stands for.

A logo style featuring a fisherman in the middle of the name casting a fly in the direction of the visitor.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brand names like Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in over 7 billion a year offering goods and equipment to outdoor sporting lovers the founders of On the Fly understood the market was ready for an outdoor sporting store that functions as a consignment firm. Whether or not you are into boating, sportfishing or rock climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly presents a place for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all types of interests, a place to sell off their secondhand equipment to other sports enthusiasts. I created their Florin logo design dsign using an image that garners the interest of vehicles and sends an image that invokes the passion of the outdoors. With visitor traffic that averages 45 mph I realized it would take more than the average logo/sign to get commuters to take notice, hence the image of a fly fisherman in his natural and tranquil habitat.
Logo design MQ farms, this logo layout has an area included into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms company logo idea wasn’t actually developed for an Florin, California regional farm it was really designed for a products broker, and this business logo was one of a handful of that fell under the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The objective was really to create a graphic that projected self-assurance, effectiveness, and luxury.

Florin Logo design for a not-for-profit, Turning Factor Solutions - the logo style function for ostensibly encountering arrow and the arrowheads suggest that it is a ruby shape.

Turning Point Foundation | Logo Design

The Turning Point Foundation was completely open to what type of logo design that they wanted, that can be a good thing or a bad thing. Good in that it grants a designer the freedom to investigate any idea that comes to mind, bad in that it’s difficult to hit a bullseye in the absence of knowing where exactly the target is. Luckily, in this particular case, I struck a bullseye with the very first shot.

Logo design made for the use of an indicator for the restaurant (Brewgrrs), it is an ornate manuscript font that is reminiscent of a popular sporting activities group logo.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I have crafted dozens of restaurant custom logo designs and establishment signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments, and eateries all over the US, from cupcake bakeries to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I believe Brewgrrs was my favorite. Brewgrrs was a neat undertaking where I worked directly with the owner to design a business logo that worked really well and did a fantastic job to brand them, it functioned on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the neon sign which hung over their doors, and was highly visible and very easy to read from over a block away.
