Glen Avon Logo Design

Every new Glen Avon business knows they require a logo, however few new business owners thoroughly comprehend the essential role their logo will take in their success, or the reason that one logo design functions far better than another. A company logo has an instant and sustaining influence on the growth of a company, go with the right one and it can make the door swing and phone ring, select the incorrect one and it can be a barrier and an impediment for the life span of a company. The logos presented in the ImageCo portfolio help Glen Avon companies succeed, they are effective in any given scenario and the reason why they are so effective is because they all have these five things in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logos don’t demand deliberation, they can be grasped in merely a glance.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to posters a scalable logo design will remain legible and equally emotive at every dimension.
  3. Versatility: logos that function on any sort of device, in print, on product packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are personal, and they are suitable for the organization they stand for.
  5. Relevance: a logo design needs to be ageless and should feel relevant today, tomorrow, and thirty years from now.

Retro logo layout of a bicycle produced for a Glen Avon coffee cafe as well as a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This budding coffee roaster and coffeehouse were launching in an old section of the city and wanted to cast an old-fashioned tone without appearing as boring or low energy. I fulfilled the two jobs via designing a logo concept that uses a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is antiquated, high energy, and is a classic business image.

medical logo layout with a microscope slide and also bacteria developed for Glen Avon medical clinic.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the science that researches the triggers and effects of diseases, especially the field of healthcare that works with the laboratory examination of samplings of human body tissue for diagnostic or forensic intents.

The Mid-Valley Pathology custom logo design I came up with is really the sole instance I recall where I was in a position to integrate a bacteria-laden microscope slide within a logo design.

Usually I attempt not to be excessively literal with a design and to a point, this specific design approaches the company it serves fairly literally, yet it does it in a way that integrates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an explanation of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancement to the name that helps make it more intriguing, more attention grabbing and more memorable.

logo layout with a jumping eco-friendly frog designed for a family members fun facility in Glen Avon.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a very cool project to work on, most likely because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s additionally a project that is way out of the norm of the sorts of projects which come my way, I’ve produced dozens of logo designs for surgeons, dental offices, and lawyers but Cool Springz is without question the one and only trampoline park that I have ever had the privilege to work on.

Given that the name of the business has the word springz in its name the obvious choice would have been to incorporate a couple springs into the concept but Cool Springz is a fun place to go and spring does not really reflect an environment of fun does it. My thought process on this project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, ultimately I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the title itself to provide the logo a much more lively high energy mood.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my brainchild and named the frog Jax and featured him in to everything they utilized for advertising and marketing. I also think this is the only time that a logo I came up with was made into a mascot when they had an employee costume fashioned to look exactly like my frog design.

photography logo including a group of birds, a hill, a path, a stream, and a tree - developed for Glen Avon traveling digital photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a custom logo design project I took on for a travel photographer, which is a rather specialized field of photography and I think it is a niche speciality because travel photographers tend not to capture locations or things but rather communicate emotional journeys through the pictures they record. The thought behind this logo design was to use negative space to project more than what was visible upon first view, which I think is representative of the majority of good photographers in that they frequently tell whole stories through their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a 1000 words but I think that some photographs convey a lot more than that because their photos often have an emotional resonance which can’t be revealed with mere words. I attempted to do something much the same to this logo design by employing the positive space in the design to suggest one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was communicated through the first impression. I think, in looking back, that my goal was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Glen Avon logo but also to reveal the depth to her art and in the way that she views the world through the lens of her camera.

Glen Avon logo layout with a seagull made use of for the letter A. Designed for a wireless retail business.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The bulk of logo design projects that I take on I really relish and the Coastal Wireless project was one that I really felt good about, however the customer didn’t quite share my excitement for it. I felt really good about the idea of using the seagull silhouette as a stroke in the character A however the client, while he liked the concept, didn’t care for my choice of birds. This particular man truly loathed seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, fortunately the rest of his friends and family did not share his contempt for this specific variety of sea bird.

When I turn a concept over to a customer I urge all of them to discuss it with friends and colleagues and family as well as with people that they don’t even know so as to get objective judgements on the value of a design. Fortunately, he talked about it with his family and they loved the design and were able to reason with him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to insert every other seabird he could think of … eventually I was able to talk him out of his preference of a pelican and he went with the original concept.

Logos are a strange creature in the design world given that the people that have a tendency to hire an expert to create their logo design recognize how vital a logo design is for their organization so they are way more vested in the end result. Every logo project has it’s share of challenges, but the largest obstacle is finding that sweet spot in a design that works really well at the task it’s required to do in branding a business and also providing the client the image they see for themselves.

a red panda logo design with bamboo behind-the-scenes, design for Glen Avon publication publisher

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a narrow slice of real estate to work with, nevertheless it is the most important part of a printed book since it is ordinarily the first thing a person sees in the book shop. With regard to a publisher, it’s the optimal opportunity they will ever have to spotlight their label and get their logo design in front of the men and women that purchase actual books.

This three color design is vivid, colorful and eye-catching and it gives plenty of space for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo design created for an airline in Los Angeles, the logo design has 2 letter A's with the bars customized to indicate they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines arrive and depart however it looks like that in many occurrences one of the aspects people often tend to recall the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a small new venture commuter/shuttle airline based in LA and while I’m not sure it actually “took off” their organization logo didn’t slow them. The bookend A’s in their title lent itself well to affording a feeling of airline flight and it was undoubtedly a success.

Glen Avon logo style utilized for advertising and marketing and also a tag layout for Vintage Instance includes an old-fashioned font style layout.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case focused in new cases for music instruments, which looked to be antique cases. For this brand design I attempted to come up with a logo that provided a fluid vintage feel to it and could easily be used for anything from a web page to a label on brand new cases that seemed like they were from a different point in time.

Logo design produced for an orthodontist in Glen Avon, layout consist of an arc with lines converging via it to suggest metal dental braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dentistry logos can easily be one of the most challenging and difficult logo design jobs due to the fact that it seems that every dental professional features a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dentistry logos are one of the very most cliche ridden fields when it comes to business branding, if restaurants approached their branding in the same way dental offices do every one of their company logos would definitely be a picture trying to explain something they served, McDonalds would likely have a picture of a potato and a cow.

I understand the thinking behind including a likeness of something mouth associated to a dentist’s logo design nevertheless it has to be done subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dental professionals logo that litter the branding landscape of the dentistry profession.

I really enjoy doing dentist logos simply because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies dentistry or a specific area of dental treatment like orthodontics without resorting to the clichéd approach that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics provided such an opportunity and inevitably I created a concept that doesn’t have a solitary smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t overt, they are still suggested in the design. When I turned this particular concept over to the customer the only smile that was apparent was the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo developed for a family nonprofit, the logo design includes 4 personalities startled in height to represent a family unit with in the style.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation reached out to ImageCo to help them come up with a brand identity design that would be depictive of the love that William McNally had for the people in his city. Most logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain pictures of a happy family, a cliche heavy technique to any logo design is to be far too literal about what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve found that the best designs are the ones that are downplayed and don’t hit the viewer on the head with what the business or organization hopes to relate.

The McNally Foundation’s name provided a unique opportunity to do a logo which conveyed that they were about families without being overtly cheesy about it. The objective of a logo design is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer attempts to use the logo to summarize specifically how people should think or feel they don’t understand the mission of a logo. If viewers have to consider a logo design to understand what it means, it has fallen short, a logo needs to be immediately understood and a logo design that explains itself will never have the opportunity to be comprehended.

Logo design produced for a hair design studio including a script font a hummingbird and an indicated orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios wanted a business logo which projected a sense of ease and connection for their new hair studio. I created a concept that didn’t go the obvious course of making just a stylized orchid but alternatively created a business logo that implied an orchid in the pattern of a swirl incorporated in to the letter O in the title and by putting attention on the logo design using the figure of a hummingbird floating over the image itself. The obvious path in designing a logo is frequently the wrong route and in this case, the design ended up not being about the orchid but alternately put the emphasis on the emotion that they really wanted to forecast to their patrons.

Dazzo Arabians | Logo Design

Logo style for a software developer the design features and renowned element of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the key part of an operating system (OS). Generally, the kernel is responsible for memory administration, process and task control, and drive management. The kernel connects the system hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that operates as a connection in between the software and computer hardware.

The business logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is situated a number of miles from the business offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to explain anything to anyone regarding to what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. However it meant something to the owner of the company and in many cases the meaning behind a company logo is equally as important as how it serves the company it stands for.

A logo style including a fisherman in the center of the name casting a fly towards the viewer.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brands like Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in over 7 billion a year retailing goods and equipment to outdoor sporting enthusiasts the founders of On the Fly recognized the market place was ready for an outdoor sporting retailer that operates as a consignment business. Whether or not you are into boating, fishing or rock climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly provides a venue for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all sorts of passions, a spot to sell their previously owned equipment to other sports enthusiasts. I designed their Glen Avon logo dsign using an illustration that garners the attention of traffic and projects an image that arouses the passion of the outdoors. With traffic that averages 45 miles per hour I realized it would take more than the average logo/sign to get travelers to take notice, hence the graphic of a fly fisherman in his natural and calm habitat.
Logo layout MQ farms, this logo design has actually an area incorporated into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms business logo design wasn’t really created for an Glen Avon area farm it was actually devised for a products broker, and this particular business logo was one of a handful of that fell underneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The goal was really to develop a brand mark that projects trust, financial success, and luxury.
Logo made for making use of an indicator for the dining establishment (Brewgrrs), it is a luxuriant manuscript typeface that is evocative a well-known sporting activities team logo design.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I’ve created loads of restaurant custom logo designs and business signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the US, from cupcake bake shops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I believe Brewgrrs was my favorite. Brewgrrs was a neat undertaking where I worked directly with the business owner to design a logo design that worked really well and did a great job to brand them, it worked on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the lighted sign that hung above their doors, and was highly visible and very easy to read from over a block away.
