Inglewood, California Logo Design

Every new Inglewood organization knows they require a logo, but few entrepreneurs thoroughly recognize the pivotal role their company logo can make in their becoming successful, or why one business logo works better than another. A logo design has an instant and long-term impact on the prosperity of a company, choose the correct one and it will make the door swing and cash register ring, go with the wrong one and it can be a barrier and a hindrance for the longevity of a business.

The logos included in the ImageCo portfolio help Inglewood, California companies succeed, they are effective in any given circumstance and the reason they are so effective is because they all have these five things in common.

  1. Simplicity: simple logo designs don’t require contemplation, they can be grasped in merely a glimpse.
  2. Scalability: from labels to movie screens a scalable business logo will remain legible and just as emotive at any scale.
  3. Versatility: logos that work on any sort of device, in print, on product packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are exclusive, and they are suitable for the organization they represent.
  5. Relevance: a company logo needs to be timeless and will feel as relevant today, tomorrow, and twenty five years from now.
Retro logo design of a bicycle produced for a Inglewood, California coffee cafe as well as a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This fledgling coffee roaster and coffee shop were actually launching in an old part of the city and wished to visualize a retro atmosphere without coming across as uninteresting or low energy. I achieved the two jobs via developing a business logo design that incorporates a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is antiquated, higher energy, and is a enduring business image.

clinical logo style with a microscopic lense slide and also bacteria made for Inglewood, California medical center.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the science that examines the causes and effects of diseases, especially the branch of healthcare that works with the laboratory evaluation of specimens of human body tissue for diagnostic or forensic purposes.

The Mid-Valley Pathology brand I came up with is really the only instance I call to mind where I was in a position to incorporate a bacteria-laden microscope slide into a logo design.

Generally I attempt not to be extremely literal with a concept and to a degree, this design approaches the company it represents quite literally, however it does it in a way that integrates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an explanation of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancer to the brand that makes it more appealing, more focus grabbing and more unforgettable.

logo style with a jumping eco-friendly frog made for a family members enjoyable center in Inglewood, California.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a very fun project to work on, probably because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the norm of the kinds of projects that come my way, I’ve done dozens of logo designs for physicians, dental offices, and legal professionals but Cool Springz is without question the only trampoline park that I have ever gotten the opportunity to work on.

Given that the title of the company features the word springz in its name the obvious choice would have been to incorporate a some springs into the concept but Cool Springz is a fun place to go and spring does not really reflect an atmosphere of fun does it. My thought process on this logo project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, eventually I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the title itself to provide the logo a much more lively high energy feel.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my design and named the frog Jax and integrated him in to everything they utilized for marketing. I also believe this is the only time that a logo I designed was turned into a mascot when they had an employee costume fabricated to look exactly like my frog design.

photography logo including a group of birds, a mountain, a trail, a stream, and a tree - made for Inglewood, California traveling photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo job I took on for a travel photographer, which is a pretty niche field of photography and I think it is a niche sector due to the fact that travel photographers don’t capture places or things but rather project emotional journeys by means of the photos they capture. The idea behind this logo concept was to utilize negative space to convey more than what was visible upon initial view, which I think is representative of almost all good photographers in that they oftentimes share whole stories through their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a thousand words but I think that some photographs convey significantly more than that because their photos often have an emotional fullness that can’t be communicated with just words. I made an effort to do something very similar to this logo design by making use of the positive space in the design to say one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was communicated through the first impression. I think, in looking back, that my goal was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Inglewood logo but also to reveal the depth to her work and in the way that she views the world through the lens of her camera.

Inglewood logo design with a seagull made use of for the letter A. Designed for a wireless retail service.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The majority of custom logo design projects that I take on I truly savor and the Coastal Wireless assignment was one that I really felt good about, but the client didn’t quite share my excitement for it. I felt really good about the concept of using the seagull shape as a stroke in the letter A however my client, even though he loved the concept, didn’t care for my choice of birds. This guy truly disliked seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, fortunately the rest of his friends and family didn’t share his scorn for this specific breed of sea bird.

When I turn a concept over to a client I urge all of them to talk about it with friends and colleagues and family as well as with other people that they don’t even know so as to get objective opinions on the value of a design. Fortunately, he discussed it with his family and they really liked the concept and were able to reason with him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to incorporate every other seabird he could think of … in the end I was able to talk him out of his choice of a pelican and he proceeded with the original concept.

Logo designs are a weird animal in the design world given that the people that are inclined to hire an expert to design their business logo understand how vital a logo design is for their company so they are much more vested in the result. Every logo job possesses it’s allotment of hurdles, but the largest challenge is identifying that sweet spot in a design that operates really well at the job it’s needed to do in branding a company and also giving the client the image they see for themselves.

a red panda logo layout with bamboo in the background, style for Inglewood, California book publisher

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a narrow segment of real estate to work with, however it is the most essential part of a printed book because it is in most cases the initial thing a person views in the bookstore. Regarding a publisher, it’s the opportunity they will ever have to advertise their product and get their logo design in front of the people that buy actual books.

This three color design is vibrant, colorful and eye-catching and it gives plenty of room for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo design made for an airline in Los Angeles, the logo has two letter A's with benches customized to imply they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines come and go nevertheless it looks like that in many occurrences 1 of the items folks often tend to recollect the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a smaller startup commuter/shuttle airline company located in LA and although I’m not certain it actually “took off” their organization logo didn’t ground them. The bookend A’s in their brand lent itself well to affording a spirit of air travel and it was undoubtedly a winner.

Inglewood logo design made use of for advertising and marketing and also a tag layout for Vintage Instance features an archaic font layout.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in all new cases for musical instruments, that seemed to be antique cases. For this brand concept I attempted to come up with a logo that provided a fluid old-fashioned feel to it and could easily be utilized for every thing from a web page to a label on brand new cases that looked like they were from a different era.

Logo design created for an orthodontist in Inglewood, California, style consist of an arc with lines converging via it to suggest metal dental braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dentistry logos can easily be one of the most challenging logo design jobs due to the fact that it seems that every single dentist incorporates a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dentistry business logos are one of the most cliche ridden careers when it comes to company branding, if restaurants approached their branding in the exact same way dental practitioners do every one of their company logos would be a picture trying to explain anything they served, McDonalds would most likely include an image of a potato and a cow.

I understand the thinking behind adding an image of something mouth related to a dentist’s company logo nevertheless it has to be performed subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dentists logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental profession.

I really enjoy doing dental logo designs because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies the field of dentistry or a specific area of dental treatment like orthodontics without resorting to the stereotypical approach that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics provided such an opportunity and ultimately I created a concept that does not have a single smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t overt, they are still implied in the design. When I turned this design over to the customer the only smile that was evident was the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo design developed for a family not-for-profit, the logo features 4 characters staggered in height to represent a family unit with in the layout.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation contacted ImageCo to help them come up with a logo that would be depictive of the devotion that William McNally had for the families in his community. Many logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain portrayals of a happy family, a cliche heavy method to any logo design is to be far too literal pertaining to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve found that the best designs are the ones that are understated and never hit the viewer on the head with what the business or institution wishes to convey.

The McNally Foundation’s name presented a distinct opportunity to do a logo design which communicated that they were about families without being openly corny about it. The intention of a logo design is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer tries to use the logo to illustrate specifically how individuals ought to think or feel they don’t understand the goal of a logo. If you have to think about a logo design to understand what it means, it has been in vain, a logo needs to be instantly comprehended and a logo design that explains itself won’t have the opportunity to be comprehended.

Logo style developed for a hair layout studio featuring a script font a hummingbird as well as a suggested orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios desired a logo design which communicated an atmosphere of relaxation and class for their new hair studio. I created a design that didn’t go the obvious route of making merely a stylized orchid but rather created a logo design that implied an orchid in the pattern of a swirl incorporated into the letter O in the name and by placing emphasis on the concept using the figure of a hummingbird floating above the logo itself. The obvious path in designing a logo design is oftentimes the incorrect route and in this case, the design ended up not being about the orchid but alternately placed the main focus on the emotion that they wanted to forecast to their patrons.

Logo style for a software application designer the design features as well as iconic component of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the key part of an operating system (OS). Typically, the kernel is responsible for memory administration, process and task management, and drive operations. The kernel connects the system hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that acts as a bridge in between the software and hardware.

The logo design I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is located a number of miles from the business offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to spell out anything to anyone regarding what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. However, it symbolized something to the owner of the business and in quite a few cases the substance behind a logo is equally as important as how it serves the business it represents.

A logo design featuring a fisherman in the middle of the name casting a fly towards the customer.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brands like Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in more than 7 billion a year retailing supplies and equipment to outdoor sporting enthusiasts the founders of On the Fly knew the market place was primed for an outdoor sporting merchant that functions as a consignment business. Whether you are into boating, sportfishing or rock climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly presents a destination for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all sorts of interests, a spot to sell off their secondhand items to other sports enthusiasts. I tailored their Inglewood logo design dsign along with an image which captures the interest of traffic and projects an image that invokes the enthusiasm of the outdoors. With traffic that averages forty five miles per hour I knew it would take more than the average logo/sign to get travelers to take notice, hence the graphic of a fly fisherman in his natural and tranquil habitat.
Logo layout MQ ranches, this logo design has an area incorporated into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms brand concept wasn’t actually produced for an Inglewood, California area farm it was in reality designed for a products broker, and this logo design was one of a handful of which fell underneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The end goal was really to generate a brand mark that projected self-confidence, financial success, and wealth.

Inglewood Logo design for a nonprofit, Transforming Point Solutions - the logo style feature for externally encountering arrowhead and the arrowheads imply that it is a ruby shape.

Turning Point Foundation | Logo Design

The Turning Point Foundation was totally open to what type of logo design that they wanted, that can be a good thing or a bad thing. Good in that it provides a designer the liberty to delve into any idea that comes to mind, bad in that it’s challenging to hit a bullseye without understanding where exactly the target is. Thankfully, in this case, I hit a bullseye with the very first go.

Logo design developed for making use of an indication for the dining establishment (Brewgrrs), it is an elaborate script typeface that is reminiscent of a well-known sporting activities team logo design.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I have designed dozens of restaurant custom logo designs and business signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments, and eateries all over the USA, from cupcake bakeries to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I believe Brewgrrs was my absolute favorite. Brewgrrs was a cool project where I worked directly with the business owner to design a logo which worked very well and did a fantastic job to brand them, it functioned on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the lighted signage which hung over their doors, and was highly visible and very easy to read from over a block away.
