Ladera Ranch, California Logo Design

Nearly every new Ladera Ranch company realizes that they are in need of a logo, yet few new business owners entirely comprehend the crucial role their organization’s logo can make in their financial success, or precisely why one logo functions far better than another. A business logo has a critical and sustaining effect on the success of a company, choose the correct one and it will make the door swing and cash register ring, go with the incorrect one and it can be a barrier and an impediment for the life of a company.

The logos included in the ImageCo portfolio help Ladera Ranch, California businesses succeed, they are effective in any given situation and the reason why they are so effective is because they all have these five traits in common.

  1. Simplicity: simple logos don’t demand deliberation, they can be understood in just a look.
  2. Scalability: from labels to posters a scalable logo will be legible and equally emotive at every size.
  3. Versatility: logos that work on any sort of device, in print, on packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball-cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are personal, and they are suitable for the organization they stand for.
  5. Relevance: a logo needs to be timeless and will feel as relevant today, tomorrow, and forty years from now.
Retro logo layout of a bike created for a Ladera Ranch, California coffee cafe as well as a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This budding coffee roaster and bistro were opening in an older section of the city and really wanted to project an old-fashioned vibe without coming across as uninteresting or low energy. I achieved the two tasks by designing a trademark design that features a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is antiquated, higher energy, and is a ageless business image.

medical logo style with a microscope slide and also bacteria created for Ladera Ranch, California medical facility.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the science that analyzes the causes and effects of diseases, especially the branch of healthcare that deals with the laboratory evaluation of specimens of body cellular material for diagnostic or forensic intents.

The Mid-Valley Pathology logo I came up with is the sole instance I recollect in which I was able to incorporate a bacteria-laden microscope slide into a business logo design.

Normally I try not to be overly literal with a concept and to a point, this specific design approaches the company it represents fairly literally, yet it does it in a fashion that integrates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an illustration of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancer to the brand that helps make it more interesting, more interest grabbing and more unforgettable.

logo style with a leaping green frog designed for a family members fun center in Ladera Ranch, California.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a really fun project to work on, probably because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s additionally a project that is way out of the usual of the sorts of jobs which come my way, I’ve done dozens of logo designs for doctors, dentists, and lawyers but Cool Springz is without question the only trampoline park which I have ever had the opportunity to work on.

Given that the title of the business features the word springz in its name the obvious choice would have been to include a couple of springs into the design but Cool Springz is a fun destination to go and spring does not actually reflect an environment of fun does it. My thought process on this project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, in the end I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the title itself to provide the logo a much more enthusiastic high energy mood.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my design and named the frog Jax and incorporated him in to everything they used for marketing and advertising. I also believe this is the only time that a logo I designed was made into a mascot when they had a staff member costume fashioned to look just like my frog design.

digital photography logo design including a group of birds, a hill, a path, a stream, and also a tree - designed for Ladera Ranch, California travel digital photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a custom logo design project I took on for a travel photographer, which is a fairly specialized field of photography and I think it is a niche area due to the fact that travel photographers tend not to shoot locations or things but rather convey emotional experiences through the pictures they record. The idea behind this logo composition was to utilize negative space to project more than what was visible upon first glance, which I think is quintessential of almost all good photographers in that they oftentimes tell entire stories using their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a 1000 words but I think that some photographs convey much more than that because their photos often have an emotional fullness that can’t be communicated with just words. I attempted to do something similar to this logo design by utilizing the positive space in the design to say one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was communicated through the first impression. I think, in looking back, that my objective was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Ladera Ranch logo design but also to show the depth in her work and in the way that she perceives the world through the lens of her camera.

Ladera Ranch logo style with a seagull used for the letter A. Designed for a wireless retail company.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The bulk of business logo design jobs that I take on I seriously take pleasure in and the Coastal Wireless project was one that I really felt good about, however the customer didn’t quite share my enthusiasm for it. I felt really good about the idea of using the seagull silhouette as a stroke in the character A however my client, even though he liked the concept, really did not care for my choice of birds. This particular guy seriously hated seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, thankfully the rest of his family members did not share his contempt for this particular type of sea bird.

When I turn a design over to a customer I encourage them to discuss it with friends and family members as well as with people that they don’t actually know so as to get neutral viewpoints on the benefit of a design concept. Fortunately, he shared it with his family members and they loved the design and were able to persuade him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to include every other seabird he could think of … ultimately I was able to talk him out of his preference of a pelican and he proceeded with the original design.

Business logos are a strange animal in the design world given that the people that tend to hire a professional to create their logo design comprehend how essential a logo design is for their business so they are way more invested in the end result. Every logo project possesses it’s share of challenges, however the most significant obstacle is finding that sweet spot in a design that functions really well at the task it’s needed to do in branding a business and also providing the customer the identity they see for themselves.

a red panda logo design with bamboo in the background, style for Ladera Ranch, California book publisher

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a cramped segment of real estate to work with, nevertheless it is the most essential part of a published book since it is usually the very first thing a person views in the book shop. For a publishing company, it’s the optimal opportunity that they will likely ever get to publicize their brand and get their logo design in front of the men and women that shop for actual books.

This three color design is vibrant, colorful and eye-catching and it leaves plenty of area for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo developed for an airline company in Los Angeles, the logo design has 2 letter A's with benches customized to imply they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines arrive and go however it seems like that in many occurrences 1 of the aspects people often tend to remember the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a small new venture commuter/shuttle airline based in LA and while I’m not certain it really “took off” their custom logo didn’t slow them. The bookend A’s in their name lent itself well to conferring a spirit of air travel and it was undoubtedly a winner.

Ladera Ranch logo design made use of for advertising and marketing and a label style for Vintage Instance features an archaic typeface design.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in all new cases for musical instruments, which appeared to be much older cases. For this logo concept I attempted to come up with a logo that had a fluid nostalgic feel to it and could be utilized for every thing from a website to a label on brand new cases that looked like they were from another point in time.

Logo design developed for an orthodontist in Ladera Ranch, California, layout include an arc with lines intersecting with it to indicate metal dental braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental care logos can easily be one of the most challenging logo design projects considering that it seems that every dental professional involves a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dentistry logo designs are one of the most cliche ridden professions when it comes to small business advertising, if dining establishments approached their branding in the exact same way dental practices do every one of their company logos would definitely be a picture explaining anything they served, McDonalds would probably contain an image of a potato and a cow.

I understand the thinking behind including a likeness of something mouth related to a dentist’s logo but it has to be performed subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dentists logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental profession.

I actually love doing dental care business logos because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies the field of dentistry or a specific field of dental treatment like orthodontics without resorting to the stereotypical solution that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics offered such an opportunity and subsequently I created a design that doesn’t have a single smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t overt, they are still suggested in the design. When I turned this particular concept over to the customer the only smile that was apparent was actually the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo design created for a family nonprofit, the logo design features 4 characters startled in height to stand for a family with in the style.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation asked ImageCo to help them come up with a logo design that would be representative of the love that William McNally had for the residents in his community. Most logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain portrayals of a happy family, a cliche heavy approach to any logo design is to be overly literal about what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve discovered that the best designs are the ones that are downplayed and don’t hit the viewer on the head with what the business or organization wishes to relate.

The McNally Foundation’s name offered a distinct opportunity to do a logo design which communicated that they were about families without being openly corny about it. The objective of a logo is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer tries to use the logo to illustrate exactly how individuals ought to think or feel they don’t understand the purpose of a logo. If you have to think about a logo design to understand what it means, it has been in vain, a logo needs to be immediately comprehended and a logo that explains itself will never have the likelihood to be understood.

Logo layout produced for a hair design studio featuring a manuscript font a hummingbird and an indicated orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios required a business logo which related a sense of peace and elegance for their new hair studio. I came up with a concept which didn’t go the obvious route of crafting just a stylized orchid but instead designed a logo design which suggested a flower in the formation of a swirl blended into the letter O in the title and by putting emphasis on the logo design with the silhouette of a hummingbird floating over the logo itself. The obvious path in creating a logo is oftentimes the incorrect direction and in this case, the design ended up not being about the flower but instead laid the main focus on the perception that they really wanted to project to their customers.

Logo layout for a software program developer the layout attributes and also renowned element of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the key component of an operating system (OS). Traditionally, the kernel is responsible for memory management, process and task control, and drive management. The kernel attaches the system hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that behaves as a bridge between the software program and computer hardware.

The business logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is situated a number of miles from the business offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to identify anything to anyone pertaining to what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. However, it meant something to the business owner of the business and in quite a few cases the meaning supporting a company logo is equally as important as how it brands the business it represents.

A logo design including an angler in the center of the name casting a fly towards the customer.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With companies such as Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in more than 7 billion a year retailing goods and equipment to outdoor sporting fans the owners of On the Fly realized the market place was ready for an outdoor sporting merchant that operates as a consignment company. Whether or not you are into boating, fishing or rock climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly presents a venue for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all types of passions, a spot to market their pre-owned products to other sports enthusiasts. I created their Ladera Ranch logo design dsign utilizing an image that garners the attention of traffic and projects an image that arouses the passion of the outdoors. With traffic that averages 45 miles per hour I knew it would take more than the average logo/sign to get travelers to take notice, hence the graphic of a fly fisherman in his natural and peaceful habitat.
Logo layout MQ farms, this logo style has a field integrated right into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms business logo concept wasn’t actually developed for an Ladera Ranch, California area farm it was in reality devised for a products broker, and this company was one of many which fell underneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The goal was actually to design a brand mark that projected assurance, financial success, and opulence.

Ladera Ranch Logo design for a not-for-profit, Turning Point Solutions - the logo design function for externally encountering arrowhead and the arrowheads suggest that it is a ruby shape.

Turning Point Foundation | Logo Design

The Turning Point Foundation was completely open to what kind of logo design they would like, that can be a good thing or a bad thing. Good in that it offers a designer the flexibility to discover any idea that comes to mind, bad in that it’s challenging to hit a bullseye without realizing where the target is. Luckily, in this particular case, I nailed a bullseye with the first shot.

Logo design designed for making use of an indication for the restaurant (Brewgrrs), it is an elaborate script font style that is evocative a renowned sports group logo design.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I have designed dozens of restaurant logos and business signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments, and eateries all over the United States, from cupcake bake shops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I think Brewgrrs was my absolute favorite. Brewgrrs was a cool project where I worked directly with the owner to create a logo design which worked really well and did a fantastic job to brand them, it functioned on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the lighted signage which hung above their doors, and was highly visible and very easy to read from over a block away.
