Laguna Hills Logo Design

Nearly every new Laguna Hills business understands that they are in need of a logo, yet few new business owners thoroughly are aware of the vital role their organization logo can perform in their financial success, or the reason that one logo works more effectively than another. A business logo has an immediate and lasting effect on the success of a business, pick the right one and it can make the door swing and cash register ring, go with the wrong one and it will be an obstacle and an impediment for the life span of a company. The logos included in the ImageCo portfolio help Laguna Hills companies succeed, they are effective in any given scenario and the main reason they are so effective is that they all have these 5 features in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logos do not demand deliberation, they can be realized in just a glimpse.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to billboards a scalable logo will be legible and just as emotive at any scale.
  3. Versatility: logos that work on any device, in print, on packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are exclusive, and they are suitable for the business they represent.
  5. Relevance: a business logo must be timeless and should feel relevant today, tomorrow, and thirty years from today.

Retro logo design of a bicycle created for a Laguna Hills coffee cafe as well as a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This budding coffee roaster and cafe were actually opening up in an old section of the city and really wanted to project a retro atmosphere without coming across as uninteresting or low energy. I fulfilled both of these jobs by creating a logo concept that includes a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is antiquated, higher energy, and is a classic business image.

clinical logo layout with a microscope slide and germs developed for Laguna Hills medical center.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the scientific discipline that studies the triggers and effects of diseases, mainly the field of medicine that deals with the clinical examination of samples of body tissue for diagnostic or forensic objectives.

The Mid-Valley Pathology brand I came up with is really the sole instance I recall where I was able to integrate a bacteria-laden microscope slide within a business logo design.

Typically I try not to be overly literal with a concept and to a point, this specific design approaches the company it represents fairly literally, but it does it in a way that integrates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an illustration of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancement to the brand that helps make it more appealing, more interest grabbing and a lot more unforgettable.

logo layout with a jumping green frog developed for a family enjoyable center in Laguna Hills.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a very cool project to work on, probably because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the usual of the kinds of projects which come my way, I’ve produced dozens of logo designs for doctors, dental professionals, and lawyers but Cool Springz is without question the only trampoline park that I have actually ever had the privilege to work on.

Given that the name of the business has the word springz in its name the obvious choice would have been to include a handful of springs into the concept but Cool Springz is a fun location to go and spring does not actually reflect an atmosphere of fun does it. My thought process on this project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, inevitably I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the title itself to provide the logo a better dynamic high energy mood.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my concept and named the frog Jax and integrated him in to everything they used for marketing. I also think this is the only time that a logo I did was turned into a mascot when they had a staff member costume fashioned to look just like my frog design.

photography logo design featuring a group of birds, a hill, a path, a stream, and a tree - created for Laguna Hills travel professional photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a custom logo design project I took on for a travel photographer, which is a pretty specialized field of photography and I believe it is a niche area because travel photographers don’t shoot locations or things but instead project emotional journeys by means of the pictures they record. The thought behind this logo design was to use negative space to reveal more than what was visible upon first view, which I think is representative of the majority of good photographers in that they often share entire stories using their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a 1000 words but I think that some photographs convey a great deal more than that because their photos frequently have an emotional fullness that can’t be communicated with just words. I attempted to do something comparable to this logo design by making use of the positive space in the design to say one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was conveyed through the first impression. I think, in looking back, that my goal was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Laguna Hills logo design but also to illustrate the depth in her work and in the way that she sees the world through the lens of her camera.

Laguna Hills logo design with a seagull made use of for the letter A. Designed for a cordless retail business.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The majority of business logo design jobs that I take on I really relish and the Coastal Wireless design was one that I really felt good about, but the customer didn’t quite share my excitement for it. I felt really good about the idea of using the seagull silhouette as a stroke in the letter A but my client, even though he loved the concept, didn’t care for my choice of birds. This guy genuinely despised seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, fortunately the rest of his family didn’t share his hatred for this specific breed of sea bird.

When I turn a design over to a client I encourage them to discuss it with colleagues and family as well as with people that they don’t actually know so as to get unbiased judgements on the value of a design. Fortunately, he shared it with his whole family and they really loved the concept and were able to persuade him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to insert every other seabird he could think of … in the end I was able to talk him out of his preference of a pelican and he went with the original concept.

Business logos are a weird creature in the design world given that the people that are inclined to hire a professional to create their logo design recognize how crucial a logo is for their company so they are much more vested in the result. Every logo job possesses it’s allotment of hurdles, but the largest obstacle is identifying that sweet spot in a design that operates really well at the job it’s needed to do in branding a company and also providing the client the identity they see for themselves.

a red panda logo style with bamboo behind-the-scenes, design for Laguna Hills book publisher

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a thin slice of real estate to work with, nevertheless it really is the most necessary part of a printed book given that it is often the primary thing a person sees in the book store. For a publishing company, it’s the absolute best opportunity they will likely ever get to advertise their label and get their logo design in front of the individuals that shop for actual books.

This three color design is vivid, colorful and eye-catching and it gives plenty of area for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo design created for an airline company in Los Angeles, the logo has two letter A's with benches customized to indicate they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines come and go yet it seems that in many instances one of the aspects consumers usually tend to recollect the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a modest new venture commuter/shuttle airline company situated in LA and while I’m not certain it really “took off” their custom logo didn’t slow them. The bookend A’s in their brand lent itself well to conferring a sense of airline flight and it was undoubtedly a victory.

Laguna Hills logo layout used for advertising and also a tag style for Vintage Instance includes an old font design.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in new cases for musical instruments, which looked to be antique cases. For this custom logo design I sought to come up with a logo that provided a fluid nostalgic feel to it and could easily be utilized for every thing from a web site to a label on brand new cases that appeared like they were from a different point in time.

Logo design developed for an orthodontist in Laguna Hills, layout include an arc with lines converging via it to indicate steel dental braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental logo designs can be one of the most challenging logo design jobs because it appears that virtually every dentist includes a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dentistry business logos are one of the most cliche ridden fields when it comes to business marketing, if restaurants approached their branding in the same way dental professionals do every one of their logos would be a picture explaining anything they served, McDonalds would likely have an image of a potato and a cow.

I recognize the thinking behind incorporating an illustration of something mouth associated to a dentist’s logo nevertheless it has to be performed subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dentists logo that litter the branding landscape of the dentistry profession.

I really enjoy doing dentist logos because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies dentistry or a certain area of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the stereotypical approach that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics offered such an opportunity and subsequently I created a layout that does not have a solitary smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t overt, they are still implied in the design. When I turned this particular design over to the client the only smile that was evident was actually the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo design created for a family members nonprofit, the logo features 4 characters startled in height to represent a family unit with in the style.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation reached out to ImageCo to help them come up with a logo that would be representative of the love that William McNally had for the people residing in his city. Many logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain images of a happy family, a cliche heavy strategy to any logo design is to be very literal about what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve found that the best concepts are the ones that are downplayed and never hit the viewer on the head with what the company or institution hopes to relate.

The McNally Foundation’s name offered a unique opportunity to do a custom logo design which conveyed that they were about families without being overtly tacky about it. The goal of a logo design is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer attempts to use the logo to explain exactly how people ought to think or feel they don’t understand the mission of a logo. If viewers have to think about a logo to understand what it means, it has failed, a logo needs to be immediately understood and a logo that illustrates itself will never have the chance to be understood.

Logo design developed for a hair layout workshop featuring a script font a hummingbird as well as an indicated orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios desired a logo design which related a sense of ease and connection for their new hair studio. I created a design that didn’t go the obvious route of designing just a stylized orchid but instead crafted a business logo which suggested a flower in the pattern of a swirl featured into the letter O in the name and by placing emphasis on the logo design using the figure of a hummingbird floating above the image itself. The obvious path in designing a business logo is oftentimes the wrong path and in this case, the design ended up not being about the orchid but instead placed the main focus on the feeling that they wanted to project to their customers.

Logo layout for a software program designer the design features and iconic aspect of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the central part of an operating system (OS). Traditionally, the kernel is responsible for memory management, process and task management, and drive management. The kernel connects the computer hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that functions as a connection in between the software and hardware.

The logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is situated a number of miles from the offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to explain anything to anyone regarding to what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. Nevertheless it represented something to the owner of the company and in quite a few cases the symbolism behind a company logo is equally as important as how it brands the organization it stands for.

A logo layout including a fisherman in the center of the name casting a fly in the direction of the audience.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With companies like Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in more than 7 billion a year selling goods and equipment to outdoor sporting lovers the founders of On the Fly understood the market place was primed for an outdoor sporting retailer that functions as a consignment firm. Whether you are into boating, angling or mountain climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly provides a place for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all sorts of passions, a place to sell their secondhand products to other sports enthusiasts. I tailored their Laguna Hills logo dsign with a graphic that garners the attention of vehicles and projects an image that wakens the enthusiasm of the outdoors. With traffic that averages forty five miles per hour I realized it would take more than the typical logo/sign to get travelers to take notice, hence the picture of a fly fisherman in his natural and serene habitat.
Logo design MQ farms, this logo layout has a field included into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms business logo idea wasn’t actually created for an Laguna Hills area farm it was in reality designed for an investments broker, and this particular logo was one of many which fell beneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The aim was actually to generate a image that projects self-assurance, effectiveness, and affluence.
Logo design made for making use of an indicator for the dining establishment (Brewgrrs), it is a luxuriant script font that is evocative a well-known sporting activities team logo.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I’ve designed quite a lot of restaurant logo designs and establishment signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the US, from cupcake bakeries to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I believe Brewgrrs was my absolute favorite. Brewgrrs was a great project where I worked directly with the owner to produce a business logo that worked really well and did a fantastic job to brand them, it worked on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the lighted signage which hung over their doors, and was highly visible and very easy to read from over a block away.
