Madera Logo Design

Each and every new Madera venture knows they are in need of a logo, yet few entrepreneurs entirely recognize the essential role their company logo will perform in their financial success, or the reason that one business logo works far better than another. A logo design has an immediate and long term impact on the growth of a company, select the right one and it can make the door swing and phone ring, select the incorrect one and it will be a barrier and a hindrance for the life of a business. The logos included in the ImageCo portfolio help Madera businesses prosper, they are effective in any given circumstance and the main reason they are so effective is that they all have these five things in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logo designs do not require consideration, they can be realized in merely a look.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to posters a scalable logo design will stay legible and equally emotive at any scale.
  3. Versatility: logos that function on any device, in print, on packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are personal, and they are suitable for the organization they represent.
  5. Relevance: a business logo must be timeless and will feel relevant today, tomorrow, and twenty years from now.

Retro logo style of a bicycle developed for a Madera coffee cafe as well as a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This start-up coffee roaster and cafe were opening in an old part of the area and wished to cast a nostalgic tone without appearing as boring or low energy. I fulfilled each of the tasks by means of developing a company logo design that contains a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is antiquated, high energy, and is a ageless business image.

clinical logo style with a microscope slide and also bacteria designed for Madera clinical facility.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the science that researches the causes and consequences of diseases, especially the branch of healthcare which works with the laboratory assessment of samplings of human body tissue for diagnostic or forensic intents.

The Mid-Valley Pathology brand I came up with is really the sole instance I remember where I was in a position to incorporate a bacteria-laden microscope slide right into a logo design.

Normally I try not to be overly literal with a concept and to a point, this specific design approaches the company it serves rather literally, but it does it in a way that integrates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an illustration of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancement to the name that helps make it more intriguing, more attention grabbing and even more unforgettable.

logo style with a jumping green frog created for a household enjoyable center in Madera.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a really fun project to work on, most likely because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the norm of the types of projects which come my way, I’ve produced dozens of logo designs for physicians, dental offices, and legal professionals but Cool Springz is without question the one and only trampoline park that I have actually ever had the opportunity to work on.

Given that the title of the company features the word springz in its name the apparent choice would have been to integrate a handful of springs into the design but Cool Springz is a fun location to go and spring doesn’t really reflect an environment of fun does it. My thought process on this logo design project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, ultimately I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the name itself to give the logo a more enthusiastic high energy feeling.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my brainchild and named the frog Jax and integrated him in to everything they used for promotion and marketing. I also believe this is the only time that a logo I created was made into a mascot when they had an employee costume fashioned to look exactly like my frog design.

photography logo featuring a flock of birds, a mountain, a path, a stream, and also a tree - created for Madera travel photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a custom logo design project I took on for a travel photographer, which is a fairly specialized field of photography and I think it is a niche profession due to the fact that travel photographers tend not to capture places or things but instead project emotional experiences through the pictures they capture. The idea behind this logo concept was to make use of negative space to project more than what was visible upon initial view, which I think is representative of most good photographers in that they oftentimes convey whole stories using their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a thousand words but I think that some photographs convey a lot more than that because their photos frequently have an emotional fullness which can’t be conveyed with just words. I made an effort to do something very similar to this logo by employing the positive space in the design to say one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was conveyed through the first impression. I think, in looking back, that my goal was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Madera logo design but also to illustrate the depth in her art and in the way that she sees the world through the lens of her camera.

Madera logo style with a seagull used for the letter A. Designed for a wireless retail organisation.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The bulk of business logo design jobs that I take on I seriously enjoy and the Coastal Wireless assignment was one that I certainly felt good about, however the customer didn’t quite share my excitement for it. I felt really good about the concept of using the seagull form as a stroke in the character A however the client, while he liked the concept, didn’t care for my choice of birds. This particular man truly disliked seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, fortunately the rest of his family did not share his scorn for this specific breed of sea bird.

When I turn a design over to a customer I urge them to share it with friends and colleagues and family as well as with other people that they don’t even know so as to get impartial assessments on the merit of a design concept. Fortunately, he shared it with his whole family and they loved the concept and were able to persuade him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to incorporate every other seabird he could think of … ultimately I was able to talk him out of his preference of a pelican and he proceeded with the original concept.

Business logos are a weird creature in the design world because the people that tend to hire a professional to design their logo understand how important a logo is for their company so they are much more invested in the final result. Every logo project possesses it’s portion of difficulties, however the most significant obstacle is finding that sweet spot in a design that works really well at the job it’s required to do in branding a business and also giving the customer the image they see for themselves.

a red panda logo layout with bamboo in the background, layout for Madera publication author

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a slender segment of real estate to work with, but it is the most critical part of a printed book because it is in most cases the very first thing a person sees in the bookstore. Regarding a publishing company, it’s the optimal opportunity that they will likely ever have to publicize their product and get their logo design in front of the men and women that purchase actual books.

This three color design is vivid, colorful and eye-catching and it leaves plenty of space for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo created for an airline company in Los Angeles, the logo design has 2 letter A's with the bars customized to indicate they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines arrive and depart however it looks like that in many instances one of the aspects individuals often tend to recall the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a modest startup commuter/shuttle air service based in LA and while I’m not sure it actually “took off” their logo didn’t ground them. The bookend A’s in their title lent itself well to imparting a sense of air travel and it was undoubtedly a victory.

Madera logo style made use of for advertising as well as a label layout for Vintage Instance includes an old-fashioned font layout.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in all new cases for music instruments, which appeared to be antique cases. For this brand concept I strove to come up with a logo that offered a fluid old style feel to it and could be utilized for every thing from a web page to an insignia on brand new cases that appeared like they were from another point in time.

Logo developed for an orthodontist in Madera, style include an arc with lines intersecting via it to imply steel braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental care logo designs can easily be one of the most difficult logo design jobs considering that it seems that virtually every dental professional features a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dentistry logo designs are one of the very most cliche ridden professions when it comes to business advertising, if restaurants approached their branding in the exact same way dental offices do every one of their company logos would be a picture trying to explain something they served, McDonalds would likely include a picture of a potato and a cow.

I recognize the thinking behind adding a likeness of something mouth related to a dentist’s company logo nevertheless it has to be done subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dental professionals logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental care profession.

I actually love doing dental care business logos because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies the field of dentistry or a certain field of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the stereotypical course of action that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics delivered such an opportunity and eventually I created a layout that does not have a single smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t obvious, they are still suggested in the concept. When I turned this particular design over to the customer the only smile that was apparent was really the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo developed for a family members nonprofit, the logo includes 4 personalities startled in height to represent a family with in the design.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation asked ImageCo to help them come up with a brand identity design that would be representative of the love that William McNally had for the families in his city. Most logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain depictions of a happy family, a cliche heavy technique to any logo design is to be overly literal about what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve found that the best designs are the ones that are downplayed and don’t hit the viewer on the head with what the business or institution wants to communicate.

The McNally Foundation’s name provided a distinct opportunity to do a custom logo design which conveyed that they were about families without being overtly tacky about it. The intention of a logo design is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer attempts to use the logo to summarize exactly how people should think or feel they don’t understand the mission of a logo. If people have to think about a logo to understand what it means, it has been in vain, a logo needs to be immediately understood and a logo design that explains itself won’t have the chance to be comprehended.

Logo style produced for a hair layout workshop including a manuscript font a hummingbird and also an indicated orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios desired a logo design that carried a sense of simplicity and connection for their new hair studio. I created a concept which did not go the obvious course of designing simply a stylized orchid but instead delivered a logo that implied an orchid in the formation of a swirl blended in to the letter O in the name and by placing attention on the logo design along with the figure of a hummingbird floating above the image itself. The obvious path in designing a logo is generally the wrong route and in this case, the design ended up not being about the orchid but instead laid the attention on the feeling that they really wanted to project to their clients.

Las Coffee shop logo design a little restaurant, layout contains a changed script typeface which floats over a team of luxuriant lines as well as dots.

Logo design for a software program designer the layout features and famous element of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the central part of an operating system (OS). Generally, the kernel is responsible for memory administration, process and task management, and drive operations. The kernel unites the system hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that behaves as a connection in between the software program and computer hardware.

The business logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is situated a number of miles from the offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to explain anything to anyone regarding what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. But it symbolized something to the owner of the business and in quite a few cases the substance behind a logo design is equally as important as how it brands the organization it represents.

A logo style including a fisherman in the middle of the name casting a fly towards the customer.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With companies like Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in more than 7 billion a year selling goods and equipment to outdoor sporting enthusiasts the owners of On the Fly recognized the market was primed for an outdoor sporting retailer that functions as a consignment business. Whether or not you are into boating, sportfishing or mountain climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly presents a venue for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all kinds of interests, a spot to sell their previously owned equipment to other sports enthusiasts. I designed their Madera business logo dsign along with a graphic which seizes the interest of traffic and sends an image that arouses the passion of the outdoors. With visitor traffic that averages 45 miles per hour I knew it would take more than the average logo/sign to get commuters to take notice, hence the graphic of a fly fisherman in his natural and calm habitat.
Logo design MQ farms, this logo design has actually an area included into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms company logo idea wasn’t really created for an Madera area farm it was actually designed for a products broker, and this brand was one of multiple which fell under the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The aim was actually to generate a brand mark that projected self-confidence, effectiveness, and prosperity.
Logo designed for making use of a sign for the restaurant (Brewgrrs), it is a luxuriant script font that is evocative a well-known sports team logo design.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I’ve crafted quite a lot of restaurant logos and establishment signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the United States, from cupcake bake shops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I believe Brewgrrs was my absolute favorite. Brewgrrs was a cool undertaking in which I worked directly with the proprietor to create a business logo that worked extremely well and did a fantastic job to brand them, it functioned on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the neon sign that hung over their doors, and was highly visible and very easy to read from over a block away.
