Manteca, California Logo Design

Virtually every new Manteca company realizes that they need a logo, yet few entrepreneurs thoroughly recognize the key role their business logo will take in their becoming successful, or precisely why one business logo performs better than another. A logo has an immediate and sustaining effect on the financial success of a business, select the correct one and it can make the door swing and cash register ring, select the wrong one and it will be an obstacle and a hindrance for the life span of an organization.

The logos included in the ImageCo portfolio help Manteca, California companies prosper, they are effective in any given circumstance and the main reason they are so effective is because they all have these five features in common.

  1. Simplicity: simple logos don’t demand deliberation, they can be comprehended in just a glimpse.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to billboards a scalable business logo will continue to be legible and equally emotive at every dimension.
  3. Versatility: logos that work on any type of device, in print, on packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball-cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are exclusive, and they are suitable for the business they stand for.
  5. Relevance: a logo design needs to be enduring and should feel as relevant today, tomorrow, and twenty years from today.
Retro logo style of a bike developed for a Manteca, California coffee cafe as well as a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This start-up coffee roaster and bistro were actually opening in an old part of the community and wanted to project a nostalgic feel without appearing as stodgy or low energy. I achieved both of these tasks by developing a business logo design that contains a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is old-fashioned, higher energy, and is a ageless business image.

medical logo layout with a microscope slide as well as germs made for Manteca, California clinical center.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the science which studies the causes and effects of diseases, mainly the branch of medicine that deals with the clinical examination of samples of human body tissue for diagnostic or forensic purposes.

The Mid-Valley Pathology custom logo design I came up with is really the only instance I recollect in which I was able to incorporate a bacteria-laden microscope slide right into a logo design.

Normally I attempt not to be excessively literal with a concept and to a degree, this specific design approaches the company it represents quite literally, yet it does it in a fashion that incorporates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an explanation of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancer to the brand that helps make it more interesting, more interest grabbing and a lot more unforgettable.

logo layout with a leaping environment-friendly frog designed for a household fun center in Manteca, California.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a really fun project to work on, probably because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s additionally a project that is way out of the usual of the types of projects that come my way, I’ve done dozens of logo designs for medical professionals, dental practices, and attorneys but Cool Springz is without question the one and only trampoline park that I have ever gotten the opportunity to work on.

Given that the title of the business features the word springz in its name the obvious choice would have been to incorporate a handful of springs into the concept but Cool Springz is a fun location to go and spring doesn’t actually reflect an atmosphere of fun does it. My thought process on this logo design project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, ultimately I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the name itself to provide the logo a much more enthusiastic high energy mood.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my design and named the frog Jax and featured him in to everything they used for marketing and advertising. I also believe this is the only time that a logo I came up with was turned into a mascot when they had a staff member costume fashioned to look exactly like my frog design.

photography logo featuring a group of birds, a hill, a trail, a stream, and a tree - made for Manteca, California travel professional photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo project I took on for a travel photographer, which is a pretty specialized field of photography and I think it is a niche profession because travel photographers tend not to capture places or things but instead reveal emotional experiences through the images they capture. The thought behind this logo design was to utilize negative space to communicate more than what was visible upon initial glance, which I think is representative of almost all good photographers in that they oftentimes share whole stories through their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a 1000 words but I think that some photographs convey much more than that because their photos frequently have an emotional fullness that can’t be communicated with mere words. I tried to do something comparable to this logo by using the positive space in the design to suggest one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was conveyed through the first impression. I think, in looking back, that my objective was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Manteca logo design but also to reveal the depth to her work and in the way that she sees the world through the lens of her camera.

Manteca logo design with a seagull used for the letter A. Designed for a cordless retail company.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The lion’s share of business logo design jobs that I take on I really take pleasure in and the Coastal Wireless project was one that I really felt good about, however the customer didn’t quite share my enthusiasm for it. I felt really good about the concept of using the seagull shape as a stroke in the letter A however the customer, even though he liked the concept, really did not care for my choice of birds. This particular guy really loathed seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, luckily the rest of his family members did not share his contempt for this particular kind of sea bird.

When I turn a design over to a customer I encourage all of them to talk about it with friends and family as well as with folks that they don’t even know so as to get neutral assessments on the worthiness of a design concept. Fortunately, he talked about it with his family and they adored the design and were able to persuade him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to incorporate every other seabird he could think of … in the end I was able to talk him out of his alternative of a pelican and he went with the original design.

Logos are a strange animal in the design world given that the people that are inclined to hire an expert to create their logo recognize how important a logo design is for their business so they are much more invested in the outcome. Every logo job has it’s share of difficulties, but the largest obstacle is identifying that sweet spot in a design that operates really well at the task it’s needed to do in branding a business and also giving the client the image they see for themselves.

a red panda logo layout with bamboo behind-the-scenes, design for Manteca, California book author

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a thin piece of real estate to work with, however it is the most necessary part of a printed book since it is in most cases the first thing a person views in the bookstore. With respect to a publishing company, it’s the opportunity they will likely ever get to spotlight their brand and get their logo design in front of the men and women that purchase actual books.

This 3 color design is vivid, picturesque and eye-catching and it leaves plenty of space for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo made for an airline in Los Angeles, the logo design has two letter A's with benches modified to imply they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines arrive and depart but it seems that in many instances 1 of the traits people often tend to recall the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a young start-up commuter/shuttle airline company situated in LA and although I’m not sure it really “took off” their logo didn’t slow them. The bookend A’s in their name lent itself well to conferring a feeling of air travel and it was surely a success.

Manteca logo design utilized for marketing and also a label style for Vintage Instance includes an antiquated font layout.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in all new cases for musical instruments, that looked to be much older cases. For this business logo design I attempted to come up with a logo that had a fluid old-fashioned feel to it and could easily be used for anything from a web page to a label on brand new cases that appeared like they were from a different era.

Logo produced for an orthodontist in Manteca, California, design consist of an arc with lines intersecting through it to indicate steel braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental care business logos can be one of the most difficult logo projects considering that it seems that each and every dentist includes a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dental logo designs are one of the very most cliche ridden fields when it comes to business branding, if dining establishments approached their advertising in the same way dental practices do every one of their logo designs would be a picture explaining anything they served, McDonalds would probably contain a picture of a potato and a cow.

I recognize the thinking behind including a likeness of something mouth associated to a dentist’s logo design but it has to be done subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dental professionals logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental care industry.

I actually love doing dental care logos simply because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies the field of dentistry or a specific area of the field of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the stereotypical solution that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics delivered such an opportunity and ultimately I created a design that doesn’t have a single smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t overt, they are still implied in the concept. When I turned this particular concept over to the customer the only smile that was evident was really the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo design made for a household not-for-profit, the logo includes 4 characters staggered in height to stand for a family with in the design.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation reached out to ImageCo to help them come up with a custom logo design that would be depictive of the love that William McNally had for the people in his community. Many logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain depictions of a happy family, a cliche heavy approach to any logo design is to be far too literal with regards to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve discovered that the best concepts are the ones that are understated and never hit the viewer on the head with what the business or organization hopes to project.

The McNally Foundation’s name provided a distinct opportunity to do a logo that conveyed that they were about families without being openly corny about it. The intention of a logo is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer tries to use the logo design to illustrate specifically how individuals should think or feel they don’t understand the goal of a logo. If people have to think about a logo to understand what it means, it has been in vain, a logo needs to be immediately understood and a logo that explains itself will never have the likelihood to be understood.

Logo layout created for a hair layout studio featuring a script font a hummingbird and a suggested orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios needed a logo that conveyed a sense of serenity and class for their new hair salon. I created a concept that did not go the obvious direction of designing merely a stylized orchid but rather crafted a business logo that suggested an orchid in the pattern of a swirl blended in to the letter O in the title and by placing emphasis on the logo design with the silhouette of a hummingbird floating over the logo design itself. The obvious path in creating a business logo is frequently the incorrect course and in this case, the design ended up not being about the flower but instead placed the main focus on the feeling that they wanted to project to their customers.

Logo design for a software designer the layout functions and iconic component of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the principal component of an operating system (OS). Traditionally, the kernel is responsible for memory management, process and task management, and drive operations. The kernel connects the system hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that operates as a connection in between the software and hardware.

The business logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is located a number of miles from the offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to identify anything to anyone regarding what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. Nevertheless it meant something to the owner of the business and in many cases the significance supporting a business logo is equally as important as how it serves the organization it represents.

A logo style including a fisherman in the center of the name casting a fly towards the viewer.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With companies like Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in over 7 billion a year selling supplies and equipment to outdoor sporting lovers the owners of On the Fly recognized the market was ready for an outdoor sporting store that functions as a consignment company. Whether you are into boating, angling or mountain climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly presents a venue for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all sorts of passions, a spot to sell their pre-owned goods to other sports enthusiasts. I tailored their Manteca business logo dsign utilizing an image that grabs the interest of vehicles and projects an image that arouses the passion of the outdoors. With traffic that averages forty five miles per hour I realized it would take more than the typical logo/sign to get commuters to take notice, hence the graphic of a fly fisherman in his natural and calm habitat.
Logo style MQ ranches, this logo style has a field incorporated into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms brand concept wasn’t actually designed for an Manteca, California regional farm it was actually designed for a products broker, and this particular logo design was one of a handful of that fell underneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The objective was really to make a graphic that projected self-assurance, success, and wealth.

Manteca Logo design for a nonprofit, Transforming Factor Solutions - the logo style attribute for externally encountering arrow and also the arrowheads imply that it is a ruby form.

Turning Point Foundation | Logo Design

The Turning Point Foundation was totally open to what kind of logo design that they desired, this can be a good thing or a bad thing. Good in that it provides a designer the flexibility to discover any concept that comes to mind, bad in that it’s hard to hit a bullseye in the absence of realizing where exactly the target is. Luckily, in this instance, I hit a bullseye with the 1st go.

Logo design designed for using an indicator for the dining establishment (Brewgrrs), it is a luxuriant manuscript font that is evocative a well-known sports team logo design.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I have crafted loads of restaurant logos and establishment signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments, and eateries all over the US, from cupcake pastry shops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I believe Brewgrrs was my favorite. Brewgrrs was a cool project in which I worked directly with the proprietor to develop a logo that worked really well and did a fantastic job to brand them, it functioned on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the illuminated signage which hung over their doors, and was highly visible and very legible from over a block away.
