Mission Viejo, California Logo Design

Nearly every new Mission Viejo organization understands that they are in need of a logo, yet few entrepreneurs entirely recognize the crucial role their logo design can perform in their success, or precisely why one logo design works more effectively than another. A company logo has a critical and long-term effect on the success of a business, pick the correct one and it can make the door swing and phone ring, choose the wrong one and it will be a barrier and an impediment for the longevity of an organization.

The logos presented in the ImageCo portfolio help Mission Viejo, California businesses prosper, they are effective in any given scenario and the main reason they are so effective is that they all have these 5 features in common.

  1. Simplicity: simple logos do not demand contemplation, they can be understood in merely a glimpse.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to signboards a scalable logo design will stay legible and just as emotive at every dimension.
  3. Versatility: logos that function on any sort of device, in print, on product packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball-cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are personal, and they are suitable for the business they stand for.
  5. Relevance: a logo must be enduring and should feel relevant today, tomorrow, and twenty five years from today.

Logo PORTFOLIO Volume 1

Retro logo style of a bicycle developed for a Mission Viejo, California coffee cafe and a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This fledgling coffee roaster and coffeehouse were launching in an old section of town and hoped to visualize an old-fashioned vibe without appearing as uninteresting or low energy. I fulfilled both of these jobs by means of developing a sign concept that uses a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is antiquated, high energy, and is a enduring business image.

clinical logo design with a microscopic lense slide and also bacteria developed for Mission Viejo, California medical clinic.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the science that examines the root causes and outcomes of diseases, mainly the branch of healthcare which deals with the laboratory examination of samples of body tissue for diagnostic or forensic reasons.

The Mid-Valley Pathology logo I came up with is really the sole instance I recollect in which I was in a position to integrate a bacteria-laden microscope slide into a logo design.

Usually I attempt not to be extremely literal with a concept and to a point, this design approaches the company it represents very literally, yet it does it in a way that incorporates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an explanation of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancer to the brand that makes it more interesting, more attention grabbing and much more meaningful.

logo layout with a jumping eco-friendly frog made for a family members enjoyable center in Mission Viejo, California.

Cool Springs | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a really cool project to work on, probably because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s additionally a project that is way out of the norm of the sorts of jobs which come my way, I’ve produced dozens of logo designs for health care providers, dental experts, and legal professionals but Cool Springz is without question the one and only trampoline park that I have ever gotten the opportunity to work on.

Given that the title of the business has the word springz in its name the obvious choice would have been to incorporate a couple springs into the design but Cool Springz is a fun destination to go and spring doesn’t actually reflect an atmosphere of fun does it. My thought process on this project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, eventually I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the name itself to give the logo a much more lively high energy mood.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my concept and named the frog Jax and integrated him in to everything they used for advertising. I also believe this is the only time that a logo I designed was transformed into a mascot when they had a staff member costume fashioned to look just like my frog design.

digital photography logo including a group of birds, a mountain, a trail, a stream, and also a tree - created for Mission Viejo, California traveling digital photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo project I took on for a travel photographer, which is a rather specialized field of photography and I think it is a niche profession due to the fact that travel photographers tend not to shoot places or things but rather communicate emotional experiences by means of the images they capture. The idea behind this logo composition was to utilize negative space to project more than what was visible upon initial view, which I think is representative of almost all good photographers in that they oftentimes tell entire stories through their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a thousand words but I think that some photographs convey significantly more than that because their photos often have an emotional resonance that can’t be communicated with just words. I made an effort to do something the same to this logo design by making use of the positive space in the design to voice one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was conveyed through the first impression. I think, in looking back, that my goal was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Mission Viejo logo design but also to illustrate the depth in her art and in the way that she sees the world through the lens of her camera.

Mission Viejo logo layout with a seagull made use of for the letter A. Designed for a cordless retail business.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The bulk of business logo design projects that I take on I seriously take pleasure in and the Coastal Wireless assignment was one that I really felt good about, however the customer didn’t quite share my enthusiasm for it. I felt really good about the idea of using the seagull shape as a stroke in the letter A but my customer, even though he loved the concept, didn’t care for my choice of birds. This particular guy truly disliked seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, fortunately the rest of his family didn’t share his scorn for this particular kind of sea bird.

When I turn a concept over to a customer I encourage them to talk about it with friends and family members as well as with individuals that they don’t actually know so as to get unprejudiced judgements on the benefit of a concept. Fortunately, he talked about it with his whole family and they really loved the design and were able to persuade him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to incorporate every other seabird he could think of … in the end I was able to talk him out of his preference of a pelican and he went with the original design.

Business logos are a weird animal in the design world given that the people that tend to hire a professional to design their logo realize how crucial a logo design is for their business so they are much more vested in the end result. Every logo job possesses it’s allotment of hurdles, but the largest challenge is identifying that sweet spot in a design that works really well at the task it’s required to do in branding a business and also providing the customer the identity they see for themselves.

a red panda logo style with bamboo in the background, design for Mission Viejo, California publication publisher

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a slender parcel of real estate to work with, but it really is the most important part of a published book since it is usually the very first thing a person views in the book store. Regarding a publishing company, it’s the optimal opportunity that they will ever get to spotlight their product and get their logo design in front of the people that shop for actual books.

This 3 color design is vibrant, colorful and eye-catching and it leaves plenty of space for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo design made for an airline company in Los Angeles, the logo design has two letter A's with benches modified to indicate they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines arrive and depart nevertheless it looks like that in many instances 1 of the aspects consumers often tend to remember the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a smaller new venture commuter/shuttle air service based in LA and while I’m not certain it really “took off” their logo design didn’t ground them. The bookend A’s in their name lent itself well to confering a feeling of flight and it was certainly a success.

Mission Viejo logo style utilized for advertising and marketing as well as a tag design for Vintage Case features an antiquated font style.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case focused in all new cases for music instruments, which seemed to be vintage cases. For this business logo design I strove to come up with a logo that provided a fluid old style feel to it and could easily be utilized for everything from a web page to a label on brand new cases that seemed like they were from a different point in time.

Logo design developed for an orthodontist in Mission Viejo, California, style consist of an arc with lines intersecting with it to indicate steel dental braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dentistry business logos can easily be one of the most challenging and difficult logo jobs considering that it appears that each and every dental professional incorporates a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dentistry logo designs are one of the very most cliche ridden professions when it comes to business branding, if restaurants approached their branding in the same way dental practices do every one of their company logos would definitely be a picture explaining something they served, McDonalds would most likely have an image of a potato and a cow.

I understand the thinking behind incorporating a likeness of something mouth related to a dentist’s logo design but it has to be done subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dentists logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental industry.

I really enjoy doing dental care logo designs simply because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies dentistry or a specific area of dental treatment like orthodontics without resorting to the clichéd course of action that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics provided such an opportunity and inevitably I created a concept that does not have a solitary smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t overt, they are still implied in the concept. When I turned this particular design over to the client the only smile that was obvious was the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo designed for a family members nonprofit, the logo design includes 4 personalities staggered in height to stand for a family unit with in the style.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation contacted ImageCo to help them come up with a custom logo design that would be depictive of the love that William McNally had for the folks in his community. Many logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain portrayals of a happy family, a cliche heavy approach to any logo design is to be very literal with regards to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve found that the best designs are the ones that are understated and don’t hit the viewer on the head with what the business or institution wishes to convey.

The McNally Foundation’s name presented a unique opportunity to do a logo that communicated that they were about families without being overtly cheesy about it. The objective of a logo design is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer makes an effort to use the logo design to summarize exactly how people ought to think or feel they don’t understand the goal of a logo. If you have to think about a logo design to understand what it means, it has been in vain, a logo needs to be immediately understood and a logo that describes itself won’t have the likelihood to be understood.

Logo layout produced for a hair layout studio featuring a manuscript font a hummingbird and also an indicated orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios required a logo that projected a spirit of tranquility and connection for their new hair studio. I came up with a concept which didn’t go the obvious path of making just a stylized orchid but rather created a business logo which suggested an orchid in the pattern of a swirl blended into the letter O in the name and by putting emphasis on the concept along with the silhouette of a hummingbird floating above the logo design itself. The obvious path in creating a logo design is more often than not the wrong course and in this case, the design ended up not being about the orchid but instead laid the importance on the feeling that they wanted to transmit to their clients.

Arabian equine logo layout created for a steed cattle ranch that concentrates on breeding Arabian program steeds.

Dazzo Arabians | Logo Design

Logo design for a software designer the design features and iconic component of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the central component of an operating system (OS). Generally, the kernel is responsible for memory management, process and task control, and disk managing. The kernel links the system hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that acts as a connection between the software and computer hardware.

The logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is located a couple of miles from the business offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to describe anything to anyone regarding to what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. However, it symbolized something to the owner of the company and in many cases the significance supporting a company logo is equally as important as how it serves the business it stands for.

A logo style featuring a fisherman in the center of the name casting a fly in the direction of the viewer.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With companies such as Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in more than 7 billion a year offering supplies and equipment to outdoor sporting enthusiasts the founders of On the Fly knew the market was primed for an outdoor sporting merchant that operates as a consignment firm. Whether or not you are into boating, fishing or mountain climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly presents a venue for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all types of passions, a spot to sell off their previously owned equipment to other sports enthusiasts. I designed their Mission Viejo business logo dsign with an image that garners the attention of traffic and projects an image that invokes the passion of the outdoors. With visitor traffic that averages 45 mph I knew it would take more than the average logo/sign to get commuters to take notice, hence the image of a fly fisherman in his natural and relaxed habitat.
Logo style MQ farms, this logo layout has an area included into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms business logo concept wasn’t actually produced for an Mission Viejo, California regional farm it was in reality devised for a products broker, and this creative logo was one of a handful of which fell under the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The goal was really to develop a graphic that projects trust, success, and wealth.

Mission Viejo Logo design for a not-for-profit, Turning Point Solutions - the logo layout feature for externally encountering arrowhead as well as the arrowheads imply that it is a diamond shape.

Turning Point Foundation | Logo Design

The Turning Point Foundation was entirely open to what kind of logo design that they preferred, this can be a good thing or a bad thing. Good in that it offers a designer the freedom to discover any concept that comes to mind, bad in that it’s challenging to hit a bullseye without understanding where the target is. Fortunately, in this particular case, I struck a bullseye with the first shot.

Logo design developed for using a sign for the restaurant (Brewgrrs), it is a luxuriant script font style that is similar to a famous sporting activities group logo design.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I have created loads of restaurant business logos and establishment signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the US, from cupcake pastry shops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I think Brewgrrs was my favorite. Brewgrrs was a neat undertaking where I worked closely with the owner to develop a logo design that worked very well and did a fantastic job to brand them, it functioned on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the lighted sign that hung above their doors, and was highly visible and very legible from over a block away.
