Montebello Logo Design

Every new Montebello venture knows they require a logo, however few entrepreneurs thoroughly are aware of the pivotal role their business logo will perform in their financial success, or why one business logo functions far better than another. A logo design has a critical and long term influence on the success of a business, go with the correct one and it can make the door swing and cash register ring, go with the incorrect one and it will be a barrier and a hindrance for the life of a business. The logos featured in the ImageCo portfolio help Montebello companies succeed, they are effective in any given scenario and the reason why they are so effective is because they all have these 5 traits in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logo designs don’t require contemplation, they can be comprehended in merely a glance.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to billboards a scalable business logo will continue to be legible and just as emotive at virtually any size.
  3. Versatility: logos that operate on any type of device, in print, on packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball-cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are personal, and they are suitable for the enterprise they represent.
  5. Relevance: a business logo needs to be lasting and should feel relevant today, tomorrow, and twenty years from today.

Retro logo style of a bicycle created for a Montebello coffee cafe as well as a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This startup coffee roaster and bistro were launching in an old section of town and really wanted to cast an old-fashioned atmosphere without appearing as stodgy or low energy. I accomplished the two jobs via creating a logo design that uses a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is antiquated, higher energy, and is a ageless business image.

clinical logo design with a microscopic lense slide and bacteria created for Montebello clinical center.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the scientific discipline which studies the causes and outcomes of diseases, especially the field of medicine which works with the clinical evaluation of samplings of body cellular material for diagnostic or forensic objectives.

The Mid-Valley Pathology logo design I came up with is really the only instance I recollect where I was able to incorporate a bacteria-laden microscope slide within a logo design.

Typically I try not to be extremely literal with a concept and to a point, this design approaches the company it represents rather literally, but it does it in a fashion that integrates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as a description of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancement to the name that helps make it more intriguing, more attention grabbing and a lot more meaningful.

logo layout with a jumping environment-friendly frog developed for a family members enjoyable center in Montebello.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a really cool project to work on, probably because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the usual of the sorts of projects that come my way, I’ve done dozens of logo designs for doctors, dental experts, and lawyers but Cool Springz is without question the one and only trampoline park that I have ever had the opportunity to work on.

Given that the name of the company has the word springz in its name the clear choice would have been to include a couple of springs into the design but Cool Springz is a fun destination to go and spring does not actually reflect an environment of fun does it. My thought process on this logo project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, inevitably I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the name itself to provide the logo a much more enthusiastic high energy atmosphere.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my brainchild and named the frog Jax and included him in to everything they utilized for advertising. I also think this is the only time that a logo I came up with was made into a mascot when they had an employee costume fashioned to look just like my frog design.

photography logo design including a flock of birds, a hill, a path, a stream, as well as a tree - made for Montebello traveling photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo job I took on for a travel photographer, which is a rather niche field of photography and I think it is a niche profession due to the fact that travel photographers don’t capture places or things but instead convey emotional journeys by means of the images they capture. The thought behind this logo composition was to use negative space to reveal more than what was visible upon initial glance, which I think is representative of the majority of professional photographers in that they often tell entire stories using their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a 1000 words but I think that some photographs convey considerably more than that because their photos often have an emotional fullness that can’t be revealed with just words. I made an effort to do something the same to this logo design by using the positive space in the design to voice one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was communicated through the first impression. I think, in hindsight, that my objective was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Montebello logo design but also to reveal the depth of her art and in the way that she perceives the world through the lens of her camera.

Montebello logo style with a seagull utilized for the letter A. Designed for a cordless retail company.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The bulk of custom logo design projects that I take on I honestly relish and the Coastal Wireless design was one that I certainly felt good about, but the customer didn’t quite share my enthusiasm for it. I felt really good about the idea of using the seagull form as a stroke in the letter A but the client, even though he liked the concept, really did not care for my choice of birds. This guy seriously despised seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, luckily the rest of his family members didn’t share his contempt for this particular type of sea bird.

When I turn a concept over to a customer I encourage them to share it with friends and colleagues and family as well as with other people that they don’t actually know so as to get objective judgements on the merit of a design. Fortunately, he shared it with his family members and they loved the design and were able to reason with him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to insert every other seabird he could think of … eventually I was able to talk him out of his preference of a pelican and he proceeded with the original concept.

Custom logo designs are a weird animal in the design world given that the people that have a tendency to hire a professional to create their logo comprehend how important a logo is for their company so they are way more vested in the outcome. Every logo job possesses it’s share of challenges, but the biggest obstacle is identifying that sweet spot in a design that works really well at the task it’s required to do in branding a business and also giving the client the identity they see for themselves.

a red panda logo style with bamboo in the background, design for Montebello publication author

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a thin piece of real estate to work with, nevertheless it really is the most important part of a printed book given that it is in most cases the primary thing a person views in the book shop. For a publisher, it’s the best opportunity they will ever get to publicize their brand and get their logo design in front of the individuals that buy actual books.

This three color design is vibrant, colorful and eye-catching and it leaves plenty of territory for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo developed for an airline company in Los Angeles, the logo has two letter A's with benches customized to imply they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines arrive and go however it looks like that in many occurrences one of the things people often tend to recall the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a modest new venture commuter/shuttle airline located in LA and although I’m not certain it actually “took off” their logo design didn’t ground them. The bookend A’s in their brand lent itself well to affording a spirit of airline flight and it was surely a winner.

Montebello logo style used for marketing and a label design for Vintage Instance features an old typeface style.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in new cases for music instruments, which looked to be older cases. For this business logo concept I strove to come up with a logo that possessed a fluid old style feel to it and could easily be used for every thing from a web site to a label on brand new cases that seemed like they were from a different point in time.

Logo design created for an orthodontist in Montebello, design include an arc with lines converging through it to imply metal braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental care logo designs can be one of the most challenging logo projects due to the fact that it appears that every dental professional involves a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dental business logos are one of the very most cliche ridden careers when it comes to business branding, if dining establishments approached their advertising in the very same way dental professionals do every one of their company logos would be a picture explaining something they served, McDonalds would likely contain a picture of a potato and a cow.

I understand the thinking behind incorporating an image of something mouth associated to a dentist’s logo nevertheless it has to be performed subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dentists logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental industry.

I really enjoy doing dental care business logos because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies dentistry or a particular area of the field of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the clichéd solution that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics provided such an opportunity and subsequently I created a design that does not have a single smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t obvious, they are still implied in the concept. When I turned this particular design over to the client the only smile that was evident was the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo design created for a household not-for-profit, the logo features 4 personalities startled in elevation to represent a family with in the layout.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation asked ImageCo to help them come up with a logo design that would be depictive of the love that William McNally had for the people in his community. Most logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain depictions of a happy family, a cliche heavy strategy to any logo design is to be very literal with regards to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve found that the best designs are the ones that are downplayed and don’t hit the viewer on the head with what the business or organization wants to communicate.

The McNally Foundation’s name provided a distinct opportunity to do a logo which communicated that they were about families without being overtly tacky about it. The aim of a logo is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer tries to use the logo to summarize precisely how people ought to think or feel they don’t understand the objective of a logo. If viewers have to consider a logo to understand what it means, it has been in vain, a logo needs to be immediately understood and a logo that describes itself will never have the likelihood to be understood.

Logo layout created for a hair layout workshop including a script font a hummingbird as well as a suggested orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios needed a business logo which projected a spirit of ease and connection for their new hair studio. I created a design that didn’t go the obvious path of creating just a stylized orchid but rather designed a logo design which implied a flower in the pattern of a swirl incorporated into the letter O in the title and by putting emphasis on the concept using the figure of a hummingbird hovering over the logo design itself. The obvious path in creating a logo design is generally the incorrect path and in this case, the design ended up not being about the flower but alternately placed the emphasis on the feeling that they really wanted to forecast to their clients.

Arabian steed logo layout created for a steed cattle ranch that specializes in reproducing Arabian program steeds.

Dazzo Arabians | Logo Design

Logo design for a software programmer the design attributes and also legendary aspect of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the central component of an operating system (OS). Generally, the kernel is responsible for memory administration, process and task control, and drive managing. The kernel links the system hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that behaves as a bridge in between the software program and computer hardware.

The logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is located a couple of miles from the business offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to spell out anything to anyone with regards to what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. Nevertheless it intimated something to the business owner of the business and in many cases the significance behind a company logo is equally as important as how it serves the enterprise it represents.

Advanced Leadership Solutions | Logo Design | Website Design

This particular Montebello logo design job was carried out for a leadership consultant that helps business leaders to develop into more efficient at handling people, expectations, and profitability.

A logo design including an angler in the middle of the name casting a fly towards the visitor.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brands like Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in more than 7 billion a year retailing goods and equipment to outdoor sporting enthusiasts the owners of On the Fly recognized the market was primed for an outdoor sporting retailer that functions as a consignment business. Whether or not you are into boating, sportfishing or rock climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly presents a destination for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all types of passions, a spot to sell their secondhand products to other sports enthusiasts. I tailored their Montebello logo dsign with an image which pulls in the attention of traffic and sends an image that evokes the enthusiasm of the outdoors. With traffic that averages forty five mph I realized it would take more than the typical logo/sign to get travelers to take notice, hence the graphic of a fly fisherman in his natural and relaxed habitat.
Logo style MQ ranches, this logo style has actually an area included right into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms brand concept wasn’t actually produced for an Montebello area farm it was in reality developed for a commodities broker, and this particular trademark was one of several which fell beneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The aim was really to develop a graphic that projects assurance, effectiveness, and prosperity.
Logo design created for the use of an indication for the dining establishment (Brewgrrs), it is an elaborate script font style that is reminiscent of a well-known sporting activities team logo design.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I’ve designed dozens of restaurant logo designs and establishment signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the United States, from cupcake pastry shops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I think Brewgrrs was my favorite. Brewgrrs was a neat project in which I worked directly with the business owner to create a logo design which worked very well and did a great job to brand them, it worked on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the illuminated sign which hung above their doors, and was highly visible and very easy to read from over a block away.
