Murrieta, California Logo Design

Virtually every new Murrieta business understands that they are in need of a logo, however few entrepreneurs thoroughly grasp the crucial role their logo design will make in their becoming successful, or exactly why one business logo works far better than another. A logo design has an immediate and lasting effect on the viability of a company, select the right one and it can make the door swing and cash register ring, select the wrong one and it will be an obstacle and a hindrance for the life span of a business.

The logos featured in the ImageCo portfolio help Murrieta, California businesses succeed, they are effective in any given scenario and the reason they are so effective is because they all have these five things in common.

  1. Simplicity: simple logos don’t demand deliberation, they can be understood in merely a glimpse.
  2. Scalability: from labels to posters a scalable logo design will stay legible and equally emotive at virtually any dimension.
  3. Versatility: logos that work on any type of device, in print, on packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball-cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are unique, and they are suitable for the organization they represent.
  5. Relevance: a logo should be enduring and will feel as relevant today, tomorrow, and twenty years from now.
Retro logo design of a bicycle produced for a Murrieta, California coffee cafe and also a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This startup coffee roaster and coffee bar were actually opening up in an older section of the city and wished to visualize a vintage feel without appearing as uninteresting or low energy. I achieved both of these jobs by creating a logo design that features a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is antiquated, high energy, and is a ageless business image.

medical logo style with a microscopic lense slide and bacteria created for Murrieta, California medical center.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the scientific discipline which investigates the root causes and consequences of diseases, especially the field of medicine which deals with the laboratory assessment of specimens of body tissue for diagnostic or forensic objectives.

The Mid-Valley Pathology custom logo design I came up with is the sole instance I recollect where I was able to incorporate a bacteria-laden microscope slide within a business logo design.

Typically I try not to be extremely literal with a concept and to a point, this specific design approaches the company it represents very literally, but it does it in a fashion that integrates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an illustration of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancer to the name that helps make it more appealing, more interest grabbing and a lot more meaningful.

logo design with a jumping green frog designed for a family members enjoyable center in Murrieta, California.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a very cool project to work on, most likely because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the norm of the kinds of jobs that come my way, I’ve done dozens of logo designs for doctors, dental practices, and lawyers but Cool Springz is without question the only trampoline park that I have ever had the privilege to work on.

Given that the name of the business features the word springz in its name the obvious choice would have been to feature a couple springs into the concept but Cool Springz is a fun destination to go and spring does not actually resonate an atmosphere of fun does it. My thought process on this logo project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, ultimately I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the title itself to give the logo a better dynamic high energy feeling.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my concept and named the frog Jax and incorporated him in to everything they utilized for advertising. I also think this is the only time that a logo I came up with was made into a mascot when they had a staff member costume fabricated to look just like my frog design.

photography logo including a group of birds, a mountain, a route, a stream, as well as a tree - created for Murrieta, California traveling photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a custom logo design job I took on for a travel photographer, which is a pretty specialized field of photography and I think it is a niche field because travel photographers tend not to shoot places or things but instead communicate emotional experiences through the photos they record. The idea behind this logo design was to make use of negative space to reveal more than what was visible upon initial glance, which I think is representative of most good photographers in that they frequently share whole stories using their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a thousand words but I think that some photographs convey much more than that because their photos often have an emotional fullness which can’t be communicated with mere words. I tried to do something similar to this logo by employing the positive space in the design to suggest one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was communicated through the first impression. I think, in hindsight, that my objective was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Murrieta logo design but also to reveal the depth in her art and in the way that she perceives the world through the lens of her camera.

Murrieta logo design with a seagull utilized for the letter A. Designed for a wireless retail service.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The lion’s share of custom logo design projects that I take on I really take pleasure in and the Coastal Wireless design was one that I really felt good about, however the customer didn’t quite share my enthusiasm for it. I felt really good about the idea of using the seagull shape as a stroke in the letter A but the client, even though he loved the concept, didn’t care for my choice of birds. This particular guy seriously despised seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, thankfully the rest of his family did not share his scorn for this specific kind of sea bird.

When I turn a design over to a customer I urge them to share it with colleagues and family as well as with other people that they don’t actually know so as to get neutral opinions on the benefit of a design. Fortunately, he talked about it with his whole family and they adored the concept and were able to reason with him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to insert every other seabird he could think of … eventually I was able to talk him out of his preference of a pelican and he went with the original concept.

Business logos are a weird creature in the design world because the people that have a tendency to hire a professional to create their business logo understand how essential a logo design is for their organization so they are much more vested in the outcome. Every logo design project possesses it’s portion of challenges, but the biggest obstacle is finding that sweet spot in a design that functions really well at the task it’s required to do in branding a company and also giving the client the image they see for themselves.

a red panda logo design with bamboo in the background, design for Murrieta, California publication publisher

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a slender segment of real estate to work with, however it is the most crucial part of a published book due to the fact that it is often the initial thing a person sees in the bookstore. With respect to a publishing company, it’s the best opportunity they will likely ever get to publicize their label and get their logo design in front of the individuals that purchase actual books.

This 3 color design is vibrant, picturesque and eye-catching and it gives plenty of territory for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo designed for an airline in Los Angeles, the logo design has two letter A's with benches customized to indicate they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines arrive and depart nevertheless it seems that in many cases 1 of the aspects consumers tend to recall the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a smaller startup commuter/shuttle air service based in LA and although I’m not certain it really “took off” their business logo didn’t ground them. The bookend A’s in their name lent itself well to conferring a sense of air travel and it was definitely a success.

Murrieta logo layout used for advertising and marketing and a label design for Vintage Case features an antiquated typeface layout.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in all new cases for musical instruments, that appeared to be older cases. For this logo concept I strove to come up with a logo that possessed a fluid vintage feel to it and could be utilized for everything from a web site to a label on brand new cases that appeared like they were from another point in time.

Logo developed for an orthodontist in Murrieta, California, style consist of an arc with lines converging through it to indicate steel braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental care logos can be one of the most difficult logo projects due to the fact that it seems that virtually every dentist features a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dentistry business logos are one of the very most cliche ridden careers when it comes to small business branding, if restaurants approached their advertising in the very same way dentists do every one of their logo designs would be a picture explaining something they served, McDonalds would probably include an image of a potato and a cow.

I recognize the thinking behind incorporating an illustration of something mouth associated to a dentist’s company logo nevertheless it has to be done subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dentists logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental care profession.

I really love doing dentist logo designs because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies the field of dentistry or a specific field of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the clichéd solution that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics delivered such an opportunity and subsequently I created a concept that does not have a solitary smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t overt, they are still suggested in the design. When I turned this particular concept over to the client the only smile that was obvious was really the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo created for a family members nonprofit, the logo features 4 characters staggered in height to represent a family with in the layout.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation contacted ImageCo to help them come up with a custom logo design that would be representative of the devotion that William McNally had for the people in his community. Many logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain pictures of a happy family, a cliche heavy method to any logo design is to be very literal about what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve discovered that the best designs are the ones that are understated and don’t hit the viewer on the head with what the business or organization wishes to project.

The McNally Foundation’s name offered a unique opportunity to do a custom logo design that communicated that they were about families without being overtly tacky about it. The goal of a logo design is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer tries to use the logo to illustrate precisely how individuals should think or feel they don’t understand the mission of a logo. If people have to consider a logo design to understand what it means, it has been in vain, a logo needs to be immediately understood and a logo that explains itself will never have the likelihood to be comprehended.

Logo style produced for a hair layout workshop featuring a manuscript font a hummingbird and also an indicated orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios needed a logo which communicated a spirit of ease and class for their new hair salon. I came up with a design that did not go the obvious path of designing simply a stylized orchid but alternatively designed a logo design that implied a flower in the pattern of a swirl featured into the letter O in the title and by putting attention on the logo design along with the silhouette of a hummingbird floating over the image itself. The obvious path in designing a business logo is frequently the incorrect path and in this case, the design ended up not being about the orchid but instead put the main focus on the feeling that they really wanted to transmit to their patrons.

Logo style for a software program designer the layout features and also legendary aspect of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the central component of an operating system (OS). Traditionally, the kernel is responsible for memory management, process and task control, and disk operations. The kernel links the computer hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that performs as a connection between the software program and hardware.

The logo design I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is situated a few miles from the offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to describe anything to anyone regarding to what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. Nevertheless it meant something to the business owner of the business and in many cases the substance supporting a logo is equally as important as how it serves the organization it stands for.

A logo layout including an angler in the middle of the name casting a fly in the direction of the visitor.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brand names like Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in more than 7 billion a year retailing supplies and equipment to outdoor sporting lovers the founders of On the Fly knew the market was ready for an outdoor sporting retailer that functions as a consignment business. Whether you are into boating, sportfishing or rock climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly provides a destination for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all sorts of passions, a place to sell off their pre-owned products to other sports enthusiasts. I designed their Murrieta logo design dsign utilizing an illustration that garners the interest of vehicles and projects an image that invokes the enthusiasm of the outdoors. With visitor traffic that averages 45 mph I realized it would take more than the average logo/sign to get commuters to take notice, hence the illustration of a fly fisherman in his natural and relaxed habitat.

Murrieta Logo design for a not-for-profit, Turning Factor Solutions - the logo style function for outwardly facing arrowhead and also the arrowheads imply that it is a ruby form.

Turning Point Foundation | Logo Design

The Turning Point Foundation was totally open to what type of logo design they would like, this can be a good thing or a bad thing. Good in that it grants a designer the liberty to delve into any concept that comes to mind, bad in that it’s difficult to hit a bullseye without knowing where exactly the target is. Thankfully, in this case, I struck a bullseye with the 1st try.

Logo made for the use of an indicator for the dining establishment (Brewgrrs), it is an ornate script font that is reminiscent of a popular sports team logo.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I have crafted loads of restaurant custom logo designs and business signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments, and eateries all over the United States, from cupcake pastry shops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I think Brewgrrs was my favorite. Brewgrrs was a cool project in which I worked closely with the business owner to create a business logo that worked extremely well and did a great job to brand them, it worked on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the illuminated signage which hung over their doors, and was highly visible and very easy to read from over a block away.
