North Tustin Logo Design

Nearly every new North Tustin organization understands that they are in need of a logo, however few entrepreneurs fully understand the vital role their company logo can take in their becoming successful, or exactly why one logo performs more effectively than another. A logo design has an instant and long-term impact on the growth of a company, select the correct one and it will make the door swing and phone ring, choose the incorrect one and it will be an obstacle and an impediment for the life of a company. The logos presented in the ImageCo portfolio help North Tustin companies succeed, they are effective in any given scenario and the reason why they are so effective is that they all have these 5 features in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logo designs don’t require consideration, they can be grasped in just a glimpse.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to signboards a scalable logo design will be legible and equally emotive at every size.
  3. Versatility: logos that operate on any sort of device, in print, on product packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are exclusive, and they are suitable for the company they represent.
  5. Relevance: a business logo should be ageless and will feel relevant today, tomorrow, and twenty years from now.

Retro logo design of a bicycle created for a North Tustin coffee cafe as well as a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This fledgling coffee roaster and bistro were launching in an old section of the community and hoped to visualize a nostalgic feel without coming across as uninteresting or low energy. I accomplished the two tasks by creating a symbol design that includes a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is antiquated, higher energy, and is a timeless business image.

medical logo layout with a microscope slide and germs created for North Tustin clinical clinic.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the science that analyzes the causes and effects of diseases, mainly the branch of medicine which works with the clinical evaluation of specimens of human body cellular material for diagnostic or forensic purposes.

The Mid-Valley Pathology brand I came up with is the only instance I recollect in which I was able to integrate a bacteria-laden microscope slide within a business logo design.

Usually I try not to be extremely literal with a design and to a degree, this design approaches the company it represents very literally, yet it does it in a fashion that incorporates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as a description of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancer to the name that makes it more interesting, more attention grabbing and more meaningful.

logo layout with a jumping green frog designed for a household fun center in North Tustin.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a really cool project to work on, probably because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s additionally a project that is way out of the usual of the kinds of jobs which come my way, I’ve produced dozens of logo designs for doctors, dental practices, and attorneys but Cool Springz is without question the one and only trampoline park that I have ever had the opportunity to work on.

Given that the full name of the business has the word springz in its name the obvious choice would have been to integrate a few springs into the concept but Cool Springz is a fun destination to go and spring does not actually reflect an atmosphere of fun does it. My thought process on this logo design project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, ultimately I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the name itself to provide the logo a much more dynamic high energy feel.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my design and named the frog Jax and incorporated him in to everything they used for advertising. I also think this is the only time that a logo I came up with was turned into a mascot when they had an employee costume fashioned to look just like my frog design.

photography logo design including a flock of birds, a hill, a trail, a stream, as well as a tree - created for North Tustin traveling digital photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo job I took on for a travel photographer, which is a pretty niche field of photography and I think it is a niche speciality due to the fact that travel photographers don’t shoot locations or things but instead project emotional experiences through the photos they record. The thought behind this logo composition was to make use of negative space to reveal more than what was visible upon initial glance, which I think is quintessential of most good photographers in that they oftentimes convey entire stories using their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a 1000 words but I think that some photographs convey much more than that because their photos frequently have an emotional resonance which can’t be revealed with mere words. I attempted to do something much the same to this logo by making use of the positive space in the design to suggest one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was conveyed through the first impression. I think, in looking back, that my goal was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  North Tustin logo but also to show the depth to her art and in the way that she perceives the world through the lens of her camera.

North Tustin logo style with a seagull made use of for the letter A. Designed for a wireless retail business.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The lion’s share of business logo design projects that I take on I genuinely relish and the Coastal Wireless design was one that I certainly felt good about, but the customer didn’t quite share my excitement for it. I felt really good about the concept of using the seagull shape as a stroke in the character A however the client, even though he loved the concept, didn’t care for my choice of birds. This particular man genuinely hated seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, fortunately the rest of his family didn’t share his aversion for this specific breed of sea bird.

When I turn a concept over to a client I encourage all of them to share it with friends and family members as well as with other people that they don’t actually know so as to get unbiased viewpoints on the value of a concept. Fortunately, he shared it with his whole family and they really loved the design and were able to reason with him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to include every other seabird he could think of … ultimately I was able to talk him out of his preference of a pelican and he proceeded with the original concept.

Business logos are a weird creature in the design world given that the people that are inclined to hire a professional to design their logo recognize how vital a logo is for their business so they are way more vested in the end result. Every logo project has it’s share of obstacles, but the largest challenge is identifying that sweet spot in a design that operates really well at the task it’s required to do in branding a company and also providing the customer the image they see for themselves.

a red panda logo design with bamboo behind-the-scenes, style for North Tustin publication author

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a slender slice of real estate to work with, yet it is the most crucial part of a published book since it is ordinarily the primary thing a person views in the book shop. With respect to a publisher, it’s the most ideal opportunity that they will likely ever get to advertise their brand and get their logo design in front of the people that purchase actual books.

This three color design is vibrant, picturesque and eye-catching and it leaves plenty of area for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo designed for an airline in Los Angeles, the logo design has two letter A's with the bars changed to suggest they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines arrive and go but it seems that in many cases one of the traits consumers usually tend to recollect the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a smaller fledgling commuter/shuttle air service situated in LA and although I’m not certain it actually “took off” their organization logo didn’t slow them. The bookend A’s in their name lent itself well to conferring a good sense of air travel and it was undoubtedly a winner.

North Tustin logo design used for advertising and marketing and a tag design for Vintage Instance features an old font style design.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case focused in new cases for music instruments, which looked to be much older cases. For this business logo design I attempted to come up with a logo that offered a fluid retro feel to it and could easily be used for everything from a web page to an insignia on brand new cases that appeared like they were from another era.

Logo design produced for an orthodontist in North Tustin, design include an arc with lines converging with it to indicate steel dental braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental logos can be one of the most challenging and difficult logo design jobs because it seems that almost every dentist includes a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dentistry logos are one of the most cliche ridden careers when it comes to business marketing, if restaurants approached their branding in the exact same way dental practitioners do every one of their logo designs would definitely be a picture explaining anything they served, McDonalds would most likely include an image of a potato and a cow.

I recognize the thinking behind adding an image of something mouth associated to a dentist’s company logo nevertheless it has to be performed subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dental professionals logo that litter the branding landscape of the dentistry profession.

I actually love doing dentist logos simply because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies dentistry or a specific field of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the stereotypical approach that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics provided such an opportunity and subsequently I created a design that doesn’t have a single smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t overt, they are still suggested in the concept. When I turned this concept over to the customer the only smile that was apparent was actually the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo design made for a family not-for-profit, the logo includes 4 characters surprised in height to stand for a family with in the design.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation contacted ImageCo to help them come up with a custom logo design that would be depictive of the love that William McNally had for the people in his community. The majority of logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain images of a happy family, a cliche heavy method to any logo design is to be overly literal with regards to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve discovered that the best concepts are the ones that are understated and don’t hit the viewer on the head with what the company or institution wishes to relate.

The McNally Foundation’s name presented a unique opportunity to do a logo design which conveyed that they were about families without being overtly corny about it. The aim of a logo design is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer makes an effort to use the logo to illustrate specifically how people ought to think or feel they don’t understand the purpose of a logo. If viewers have to ponder a logo to understand what it means, it has been in vain, a logo needs to be immediately understood and a logo that describes itself won’t have the likelihood to be comprehended.

Logo layout created for a hair design workshop featuring a manuscript font a hummingbird as well as a suggested orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios required a logo which carried a spirit of ease and class for their new hair studio. I created a concept that didn’t go the obvious path of making merely a stylized orchid but instead delivered a logo design which implied an orchid in the pattern of a swirl blended in to the letter O in the name and by placing attention on the concept using the silhouette of a hummingbird hovering over the image itself. The obvious path in designing a logo design is generally the wrong route and in this case, the design ended up not being about the flower but instead placed the main focus on the perception that they really wanted to forecast to their customers.

Dazzo Arabians | Logo Design

Logo design for a software program programmer the style functions as well as famous aspect of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the principal component of an operating system (OS). Generally, the kernel is responsible for memory management, process and task management, and disk management. The kernel connects the computer hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that performs as a bridge in between the software and hardware.

The business logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is located a few miles from the business offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to describe anything to anyone pertaining to what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. However it intimated something to the business owner of the business and in quite a few cases the symbolism supporting a company logo is equally as important as how it brands the organization it stands for.

Evolve logo style created for a North Tustin interior developer, style function a series of red circles that converge as well as change the letter O in the middle of the logo design.

A logo layout featuring a fisherman in the middle of the name casting a fly towards the customer.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With companies like Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in more than 7 billion a year offering supplies and equipment to outdoor sporting lovers the owners of On the Fly knew the market place was ready for an outdoor sporting merchant that functions as a consignment business. Whether you are into boating, sportfishing or mountain climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly provides a venue for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all kinds of interests, a spot to market their pre-owned items to other sports enthusiasts. I created their North Tustin business logo dsign utilizing an image which garners the interest of vehicles and sends an image that arouses the passion of the outdoors. With traffic that averages forty five miles per hour I knew it would take more than the average logo/sign to get commuters to take notice, hence the image of a fly fisherman in his natural and calm habitat.
Logo design MQ ranches, this logo layout has a field integrated right into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms company logo concept wasn’t actually designed for an North Tustin area farm it was actually created for a commodities broker, and this particular trademark was one of a handful of which fell underneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The objective was really to generate a graphic that projects self-confidence, effectiveness, and prosperity.
Logo design developed for using an indication for the restaurant (Brewgrrs), it is an ornate manuscript typeface that is similar to a famous sporting activities group logo.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I have crafted dozens of restaurant logos and business signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the US, from cupcake bakeshops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I think Brewgrrs was my favorite. Brewgrrs was a neat undertaking in which I worked closely with the proprietor to produce a logo design which worked very well and did a great job to brand them, it worked on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the neon signage that hung over their doors, and was highly visible and very legible from over a block away.
