Oakdale Logo Design

Nearly every new Oakdale organization knows they need a logo, yet few entrepreneurs thoroughly are aware of the key role their company logo can make in their success, or precisely why one business logo performs better than another. A company logo has a critical and long-term effect on the growth of a business, select the right one and it can make the door swing and cash register ring, select the wrong one and it will be an obstacle and a hindrance for the life span of a business. The logos included in the ImageCo portfolio help Oakdale businesses prosper, they are effective in any given circumstance and the main reason they are so effective is because they all have these five features in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logos do not require deliberation, they can be grasped in merely a look.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to billboards a scalable logo will stay legible and equally emotive at virtually any scale.
  3. Versatility: logos that operate on any type of device, in print, on product packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are personal, and they are suitable for the business they represent.
  5. Relevance: a business logo needs to be enduring and should feel relevant today, tomorrow, and twenty five years from today.

Retro logo design of a bike developed for a Oakdale coffee cafe and a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This startup coffee roaster and coffee shop were opening in an older section of the community and really wanted to cast a nostalgic atmosphere without coming across as monotonous or low energy. I achieved both jobs via developing a custom logo design that incorporates a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is antiquated, higher energy, and is a ageless business image.

medical logo design with a microscope slide as well as germs made for Oakdale medical clinic.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the scientific discipline that analyzes the causes and consequences of diseases, especially the branch of healthcare which deals with the laboratory assessment of samplings of body cellular material for diagnostic or forensic intents.

The Mid-Valley Pathology custom logo design I came up with is the only instance I remember in which I was able to integrate a bacteria-laden microscope slide into a logo design.

Normally I try not to be overly literal with a design and to a degree, this specific design approaches the company it represents rather literally, yet it does it in a way that incorporates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an explanation of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancement to the name that helps make it more intriguing, more focus grabbing and more meaningful.

logo style with a leaping environment-friendly frog developed for a household fun center in Oakdale.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a really cool project to work on, most likely because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the norm of the sorts of jobs which come my way, I’ve produced dozens of logo designs for physicians, dental offices, and lawyers but Cool Springz is without question the one and only trampoline park that I have actually ever gotten the privilege to work on.

Given that the name of the company features the word springz in its name the obvious choice would have been to integrate a couple springs into the design but Cool Springz is a fun location to go and spring doesn’t really reflect an environment of fun does it. My thought process on this logo design project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, in the end I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the name itself to give the logo a better lively high energy mood.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my concept and named the frog Jax and featured him in to everything they utilized for advertising and marketing. I also believe this is the only time that a logo I designed was made into a mascot when they had a staff member costume fabricated to look just like my frog design.

digital photography logo featuring a flock of birds, a hill, a route, a stream, and a tree - developed for Oakdale travel professional photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo job I took on for a travel photographer, which is a rather niche field of photography and I believe it is a niche field due to the fact that travel photographers tend not to shoot places or things but instead convey emotional experiences through the photos they capture. The thought behind this logo concept was to make use of negative space to reveal more than what was visible upon first view, which I think is representative of almost all good photographers in that they frequently share whole stories through their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a 1000 words but I think that some photographs convey a great deal more than that because their photos frequently have an emotional fullness that can’t be conveyed with mere words. I tried to do something similar to this logo by making use of the positive space in the design to voice one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was conveyed through the first impression. I think, in looking back, that my objective was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Oakdale logo but also to reveal the depth of her art and in the way that she views the world through the lens of her camera.

Oakdale logo style with a seagull made use of for the letter A. Designed for a wireless retail organisation.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The majority of business logo design jobs that I take on I genuinely take pleasure in and the Coastal Wireless assignment was one that I really felt good about, but the customer didn’t quite share my excitement for it. I felt really good about the concept of using the seagull form as a stroke in the letter A but the client, even though he loved the concept, didn’t care for my choice of birds. This particular guy seriously hated seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, luckily the rest of his family members did not share his hatred for this specific kind of sea bird.

When I turn a design over to a client I urge them to talk about it with colleagues and family members as well as with people that they don’t even know so as to get unbiased judgements on the merit of a concept. Fortunately, he discussed it with his whole family and they adored the concept and were able to reason with him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to include every other seabird he could think of … in the end I was able to talk him out of his preference of a pelican and he proceeded with the original design.

Business logos are a strange animal in the design world given that the people that have a tendency to hire an expert to create their logo understand how important a logo is for their company so they are way more invested in the final result. Every logo project has it’s share of challenges, however the most significant obstacle is finding that sweet spot in a design that operates really well at the job it’s needed to do in branding a business and also giving the client the identity they see for themselves.

a red panda logo layout with bamboo in the background, style for Oakdale book author

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a slender slice of real estate to work with, yet it really is the most crucial part of a published book given that it is ordinarily the first thing a person sees in the bookstore. With regard to a publishing company, it’s the absolute best opportunity that they will likely ever have to advertise their product and get their logo design in front of the individuals that buy actual books.

This three color design is vibrant, picturesque and eye-catching and it gives plenty of territory for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo developed for an airline company in Los Angeles, the logo has two letter A's with benches customized to imply they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines arrive and go yet it looks like that in many occurrences one of the aspects people tend to remember the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a smaller new venture commuter/shuttle airline company based in LA and although I’m not certain it actually “took off” their logo didn’t slow them. The bookend A’s in their brand lent itself well to affording a feeling of air travel and it was undoubtedly a victory.

Oakdale logo style made use of for advertising and marketing and a tag design for Vintage Case features an old-fashioned typeface layout.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in brand new cases for music instruments, that looked to be vintage cases. For this custom logo design I strove to come up with a logo that offered a fluid old-fashioned feel to it and could easily be utilized for anything from a web site to a label on brand new cases that looked like they were from another point in time.

Logo design developed for an orthodontist in Oakdale, layout include an arc with lines converging via it to indicate steel braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental care logos can be one of the most difficult logo projects due to the fact that it appears that virtually every dentist integrates a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dentistry logo designs are one of the very most cliche ridden fields when it comes to business branding, if dining establishments approached their branding in the exact same way dental professionals do every one of their logos would be a picture explaining something they served, McDonalds would probably have an image of a potato and a cow.

I recognize the thinking behind adding a likeness of something mouth associated to a dentist’s logo but it has to be done subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dentists logo that litter the branding landscape of the dentistry industry.

I really enjoy doing dentist logo designs because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies dentistry or a certain area of dental treatment like orthodontics without resorting to the clichéd approach that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics provided such an opportunity and inevitably I created a design that doesn’t have a solitary smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t obvious, they are still suggested in the concept. When I turned this concept over to the customer the only smile that was apparent was really the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo created for a family not-for-profit, the logo features 4 characters staggered in height to represent a family unit with in the design.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation contacted ImageCo to help them come up with a custom logo design that would be illustrative of the devotion that William McNally had for the people residing in his community. Most logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain depictions of a happy family, a cliche heavy method to any logo design is to be far too literal pertaining to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve discovered that the best designs are the ones that are understated and don’t hit the viewer on the head with what the business or institution wants to project.

The McNally Foundation’s name provided a distinct opportunity to do a logo that communicated that they were about families without being openly cheesy about it. The intention of a logo design is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer makes an effort to use the logo to explain exactly how individuals ought to think or feel they don’t understand the objective of a logo. If people have to think about a logo design to understand what it means, it has failed, a logo needs to be instantly comprehended and a logo design that illustrates itself won’t have the opportunity to be understood.

Logo layout developed for a hair style workshop featuring a manuscript font a hummingbird as well as an implied orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios required a business logo which conveyed a spirit of calmness and elegance for their new hair salon. I came up with a design that did not go the obvious direction of creating simply a stylized orchid but rather designed a logo design which suggested a flower in the pattern of a swirl blended into the letter O in the name and by placing attention on the concept with the figure of a hummingbird floating over the image itself. The obvious path in designing a logo design is more often than not the wrong route and in this case, the design ended up not being about the flower but alternately put the focus on the feeling that they wanted to project to their customers.

Logo design for a software application designer the design functions as well as iconic aspect of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the principal component of an operating system (OS). Traditionally, the kernel is responsible for memory management, process and task management, and drive management. The kernel links the computer hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that serves as a bridge between the software program and hardware.

The business logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is situated a couple of miles from the business offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to identify anything to anyone regarding to what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. Nevertheless it represented something to the owner of the company and in many cases the symbolism behind a company logo is equally as important as how it serves the organization it represents.

A logo layout featuring an angler in the middle of the name casting a fly towards the customer.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brand names such as Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in over 7 billion a year selling supplies and equipment to outdoor sporting enthusiasts the owners of On the Fly recognized the market place was primed for an outdoor sporting merchant that operates as a consignment firm. Whether you are into boating, angling or rock climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly presents a location for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all types of interests, a location to sell off their used goods to other sports enthusiasts. I tailored their Oakdale logo dsign along with a graphic which pulls in the interest of vehicles and sends an image that invokes the enthusiasm of the outdoors. With visitor traffic that averages 45 miles per hour I knew it would take more than the average logo/sign to get commuters to take notice, hence the illustration of a fly fisherman in his natural and peaceful habitat.
Logo design MQ ranches, this logo design has actually a field integrated into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms emblem concept wasn’t actually designed for an Oakdale area farm it was really devised for a commodities broker, and this logo was one of several that fell under the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The objective was to produce a graphic that projected esteem, effectiveness, and opulence.
Logo made for using an indication for the restaurant (Brewgrrs), it is an ornate script typeface that is evocative a renowned sporting activities group logo.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I’ve designed quite a lot of restaurant logos and business signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the USA, from cupcake bake shops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I believe Brewgrrs was my favorite. Brewgrrs was a cool project where I worked directly with the business owner to design a logo design that worked really well and did a great job to brand them, it functioned on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the lighted sign which hung over their doors, and was highly visible and very easy to read from over a block away.
