Oceanside Logo Design

Each and every new Oceanside organization understands that they require a logo, but few entrepreneurs fully grasp the vital role their company logo can perform in their financial success, or exactly why one logo works far better than another. A logo has an instant and long term influence on the success of a business, go with the right one and it can make the door swing and cash register ring, select the wrong one and it can be an obstacle and an impediment for the life of a company. The logos featured in the ImageCo portfolio help Oceanside businesses succeed, they are effective in any given circumstance and the main reason they are so effective is because they all have these five features in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logos do not demand contemplation, they can be understood in just a look.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to signboards a scalable business logo will be legible and equally emotive at any dimension.
  3. Versatility: logos that operate on any sort of device, in print, on product packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball-cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are personal, and they are suitable for the enterprise they stand for.
  5. Relevance: a company logo must be timeless and will feel relevant today, tomorrow, and forty years from today.

Retro logo style of a bicycle created for a Oceanside coffee cafe and a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This budding coffee roaster and coffee shop were opening up in an older part of the community and hoped to project a nostalgic tone without coming across as monotonous or low energy. I accomplished each of the tasks by designing a trademark concept that contains a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is antiquated, higher energy, and is a classic business image.

clinical logo layout with a microscopic lense slide and also germs made for Oceanside medical facility.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the science which studies the triggers and effects of diseases, mainly the branch of healthcare that deals with the laboratory evaluation of specimens of body tissue for diagnostic or forensic intents.

The Mid-Valley Pathology logo design I came up with is the only instance I call to mind in which I was able to integrate a bacteria-laden microscope slide into a logo design.

Usually I attempt not to be extremely literal with a concept and to a point, this design approaches the company it serves fairly literally, however it does it in a fashion that incorporates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an illustration of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancement to the brand that helps make it more intriguing, more focus grabbing and a lot more memorable.

logo layout with a jumping eco-friendly frog designed for a family enjoyable facility in Oceanside.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a really fun project to work on, most likely because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the usual of the sorts of projects which come my way, I’ve done dozens of logo designs for physicians, dental offices, and lawyers but Cool Springz is without question the only trampoline park that I have ever had the privilege to work on.

Given that the name of the company features the word springz in its name the apparent choice would have been to include a few springs into the concept but Cool Springz is a fun place to go and spring does not actually resonate an environment of fun does it. My thought process on this project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, inevitably I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the title itself to give the logo a more dynamic high energy feeling.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my design and named the frog Jax and featured him in to everything they utilized for marketing. I also believe this is the only time that a logo I did was made into a mascot when they had an employee costume fabricated to look exactly like my frog design.

digital photography logo featuring a flock of birds, a hill, a route, a stream, and also a tree - created for Oceanside traveling photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a custom logo design project I took on for a travel photographer, which is a fairly specialized field of photography and I think it is a niche speciality because travel photographers don’t capture places or things but instead project emotional journeys by means of the photos they record. The idea behind this logo design was to make use of negative space to convey more than what was visible upon first glance, which I think is quintessential of most professional photographers in that they oftentimes tell whole stories using their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a thousand words but I think that some photographs convey considerably more than that because their photos often have an emotional resonance which can’t be conveyed with just words. I tried to do something comparable to this logo by using the positive space in the design to suggest one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was conveyed through the first impression. I think, in hindsight, that my goal was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Oceanside logo but also to show the depth to her work and in the way that she sees the world through the lens of her camera.

Oceanside logo layout with a seagull used for the letter A. Designed for a cordless retail organisation.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The bulk of logo design jobs that I take on I genuinely enjoy and the Coastal Wireless design was one that I certainly felt good about, but the client didn’t quite share my enthusiasm for it. I felt really good about the concept of using the seagull shape as a stroke in the letter A but my client, even though he loved the concept, didn’t care for my choice of birds. This guy truly despised seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, thankfully the rest of his family members didn’t share his hatred for this particular kind of sea bird.

When I turn a design over to a customer I encourage all of them to talk about it with friends and colleagues and family as well as with people that they don’t even know so as to get impartial opinions on the value of a concept. Fortunately, he discussed it with his family and they really liked the concept and were able to persuade him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to insert every other seabird he could think of … eventually I was able to talk him out of his choice of a pelican and he went with the original design.

Logos are a weird animal in the design world because the people that tend to hire a professional to design their logo realize how vital a logo design is for their organization so they are much more invested in the end result. Every logo job has it’s allotment of difficulties, but the biggest obstacle is identifying that sweet spot in a design that works really well at the task it’s needed to do in branding a business and also giving the customer the image they see for themselves.

a red panda logo design with bamboo behind-the-scenes, style for Oceanside book author

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a slender parcel of real estate to work with, nevertheless it is the most critical part of a published book due to the fact that it is ordinarily the first thing a person views in the book store. Concerning a publisher, it’s the most ideal opportunity that they will ever have to spotlight their brand and get their logo design in front of the individuals that shop for actual books.

This three color design is vibrant, colorful and eye-catching and it leaves plenty of territory for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo design designed for an airline in Los Angeles, the logo design has two letter A's with benches modified to imply they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines come and depart nevertheless it looks like that in many instances 1 of the traits consumers tend to remember the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a modest startup commuter/shuttle airline situated in LA and although I’m not certain it actually “took off” their logo didn’t slow them. The bookend A’s in their title lent itself well to affording a feeling of flight and it was surely a winner.

Oceanside logo design made use of for marketing as well as a label style for Vintage Instance includes an antiquated font style layout.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in brand-new cases for music instruments, which seemed to be much older cases. For this custom logo design I sought to come up with a logo that had a fluid vintage feel to it and could be used for anything from a web page to an insignia on brand new cases that looked like they were from another generation.

Logo design developed for an orthodontist in Oceanside, design consist of an arc with lines converging with it to indicate metal braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dentistry logo designs can be one of the most challenging logo design projects considering that it seems that almost every dental professional involves a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dental business logos are one of the very most cliche ridden professions when it comes to business marketing, if dining establishments approached their branding in the same way dental practices do every one of their logo designs would definitely be a picture trying to explain anything they served, McDonalds would probably contain a picture of a potato and a cow.

I recognize the thinking behind incorporating a likeness of something mouth related to a dentist’s logo design nevertheless it has to be performed subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dental professionals logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental care profession.

I really love doing dentist business logos simply because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies the field of dentistry or a certain area of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the stereotypical solution that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics delivered such an opportunity and subsequently I created a concept that does not have a single smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t overt, they are still suggested in the design. When I turned this particular design over to the customer the only smile that was evident was the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo design made for a family members nonprofit, the logo features 4 characters startled in elevation to stand for a family with in the design.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation reached out to ImageCo to help them come up with a custom logo design that would be representative of the love that William McNally had for the people in his city. Many logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain pictures of a happy family, a cliche heavy strategy to any logo design is to be overly literal pertaining to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve found that the best designs are the ones that are downplayed and never hit the viewer on the head with what the business or organization wishes to communicate.

The McNally Foundation’s name offered a distinct opportunity to do a logo design which conveyed that they were about families without being openly corny about it. The aim of a logo design is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer tries to use the logo design to summarize how individuals should think or feel they don’t understand the goal of a logo. If you have to consider a logo design to understand what it means, it has been in vain, a logo needs to be immediately comprehended and a logo design that describes itself won’t have the opportunity to be comprehended.

Logo style produced for a hair style studio featuring a manuscript font a hummingbird and an indicated orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios needed a company logo which related a sense of ease and elegance for their new hair salon. I created a design that did not go the obvious direction of designing merely a stylized orchid but rather crafted a company logo which implied an orchid in the pattern of a swirl blended in to the letter O in the title and by putting attention on the logo design with the figure of a hummingbird floating above the logo itself. The obvious path in creating a business logo is oftentimes the wrong direction and in this case, the design ended up not being about the flower but alternately laid the emphasis on the feeling that they wanted to forecast to their clients.

Logo style for a software application developer the style attributes and iconic aspect of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the central component of an operating system (OS). Traditionally, the kernel is responsible for memory administration, process and task control, and disk operations. The kernel links the computer hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that behaves as a connection between the software program and computer hardware.

The logo design I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is situated a few miles from the offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to identify anything to anyone with regards to what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. Nevertheless it meant something to the owner of the business and in quite a few cases the substance behind a business logo is equally as important as how it brands the business it stands for.

A logo layout featuring a fisherman in the middle of the name casting a fly towards the audience.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brands like Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in more than 7 billion a year retailing goods and equipment to outdoor sporting fans the owners of On the Fly recognized the market place was prepared for an outdoor sporting retailer that operates as a consignment company. Whether you are into boating, angling or mountain climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly presents a location for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all sorts of interests, a place to sell their secondhand equipment to other sports enthusiasts. I tailored their Oceanside logo dsign with a graphic which seizes the attention of traffic and projects an image that evokes the passion of the outdoors. With traffic that averages 45 miles per hour I realized it would take more than the average logo/sign to get commuters to take notice, hence the graphic of a fly fisherman in his natural and serene habitat.
Logo layout MQ farms, this logo layout has an area included into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms emblem concept wasn’t actually produced for an Oceanside regional farm it was really created for a commodities broker, and this particular company logo was one of several which fell under the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The objective was really to create an identity that projects confidence, financial success, and luxury.
Logo design developed for making use of a sign for the dining establishment (Brewgrrs), it is a luxuriant script typeface that is similar to a renowned sports team logo design.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I have crafted loads of restaurant logos and business signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the United States, from cupcake bake shops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I think Brewgrrs was my favorite. Brewgrrs was a great project where I worked directly with the proprietor to produce a business logo that worked really well and did a fantastic job to brand them, it worked on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the illuminated signage that hung above their doors, and was highly visible and very easy to read from over a block away.
