Oildale, California Logo Design

Every new Oildale business professional knows they require a logo, yet few new business owners fully comprehend the pivotal role their business logo will perform in their success, or the reason that one logo design works far better than another. A logo design has an immediate and lasting impact on the success of a business, pick the right one and it will make the door swing and cash register ring, select the incorrect one and it can be an obstacle and a hindrance for the longevity of a business.

The logos featured in the ImageCo portfolio help Oildale, California companies succeed, they are effective in any given situation and the main reason they are so effective is that they all have these five features in common.

  1. Simplicity: simple logo designs do not demand deliberation, they can be comprehended in just a glance.
  2. Scalability: from labels to billboards a scalable business logo will be legible and equally emotive at every size.
  3. Versatility: logos which operate on any sort of device, in print, on packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are personal, and they are suitable for the organization they represent.
  5. Relevance: a logo design should be timeless and will feel as relevant today, tomorrow, and forty years from today.
Retro logo design of a bike developed for a Oildale, California coffee cafe and a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This start-up coffee roaster and coffee shop were opening in an old section of the town and really wanted to cast a nostalgic atmosphere without appearing as monotonous or low energy. I fulfilled both of these jobs by means of designing a custom logo design that uses a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is antiquated, high energy, and is a ageless business image.

medical logo layout with a microscopic lense slide and also bacteria made for Oildale, California clinical center.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the science which analyzes the causes and effects of diseases, especially the branch of medicine which deals with the clinical examination of samples of human body cellular material for diagnostic or forensic purposes.

The Mid-Valley Pathology custom logo design I came up with is the only instance I recollect where I was in a position to integrate a bacteria-laden microscope slide right into a business logo design.

Generally I try not to be extremely literal with a concept and to a point, this specific design approaches the company it represents fairly literally, yet it does it in a way that incorporates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as a description of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancement to the brand that helps make it more intriguing, more focus grabbing and even more unforgettable.

logo style with a jumping environment-friendly frog developed for a household fun center in Oildale, California.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a really cool project to work on, most likely because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the norm of the types of jobs that come my way, I’ve done dozens of logo designs for doctors, dental professionals, and lawyers but Cool Springz is without question the only trampoline park that I have ever had the privilege to work on.

Given that the title of the business features the word springz in its name the clear choice would have been to incorporate a couple of springs into the design but Cool Springz is a fun destination to go and spring does not really reflect an environment of fun does it. My thought process on this logo project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, eventually I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the title itself to give the logo a better dynamic high energy feel.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my design and named the frog Jax and included him in to everything they utilized for marketing and advertising. I also think this is the only time that a logo I designed was transformed into a mascot when they had an employee costume fabricated to look exactly like my frog design.

digital photography logo featuring a flock of birds, a mountain, a trail, a stream, and a tree - created for Oildale, California traveling digital photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo design job I took on for a travel photographer, which is a rather specialized field of photography and I believe it is a niche profession due to the fact that travel photographers tend not to capture places or things but instead communicate emotional journeys through the pictures they capture. The idea behind this logo concept was to make use of negative space to communicate more than what was visible upon initial view, which I think is quintessential of most good photographers in that they frequently convey entire stories through their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a thousand words but I think that some photographs convey a lot more than that because their photos frequently have an emotional resonance which can’t be conveyed with mere words. I attempted to do something the same to this logo design by using the positive space in the design to voice one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was conveyed through the first impression. I think, in hindsight, that my objective was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Oildale logo design but also to reveal the depth in her art and in the way that she perceives the world through the lens of her camera.

Oildale logo style with a seagull made use of for the letter A. Designed for a cordless retail company.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The lion’s share of custom logo design projects that I take on I truly relish and the Coastal Wireless assignment was one that I certainly felt good about, however the client didn’t quite share my excitement for it. I felt really good about the idea of using the seagull silhouette as a stroke in the character A however my client, while he loved the concept, didn’t care for my choice of birds. This guy really hated seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, fortunately the rest of his family didn’t share his scorn for this specific type of sea bird.

When I turn a concept over to a client I urge all of them to share it with friends and family as well as with other people that they don’t actually know so as to get impartial judgements on the benefit of a design concept. Fortunately, he shared it with his family and they loved the design and were able to persuade him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to include every other seabird he could think of … ultimately I was able to talk him out of his preference of a pelican and he proceeded with the original design.

Business logos are a strange animal in the design world because the people that are inclined to hire an expert to design their logo design realize how crucial a logo design is for their organization so they are way more vested in the final result. Every logo design project possesses it’s allotment of hurdles, but the most significant challenge is identifying that sweet spot in a design that functions really well at the job it’s required to do in branding a business and also providing the customer the image they see for themselves.

a red panda logo style with bamboo behind-the-scenes, style for Oildale, California book author

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a slender parcel of real estate to work with, nevertheless it really is the most important part of a printed book considering that it is often the primary thing a person views in the book shop. With respect to a publishing company, it’s the opportunity that they will likely ever get to advertise their label and get their logo design in front of the men and women that buy actual books.

This 3 color design is vivid, picturesque and eye-catching and it gives plenty of room for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo design created for an airline in Los Angeles, the logo design has two letter A's with the bars customized to suggest they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines arrive and go but it looks like that in many cases one of the traits consumers usually tend to recollect the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a smaller start-up commuter/shuttle air service located in LA and while I’m not certain it really “took off” their logo design didn’t ground them. The bookend A’s in their title lent itself well to imparting a spirit of flight and it was undoubtedly a success.

Oildale logo style made use of for advertising and marketing as well as a tag layout for Vintage Instance includes an antiquated typeface style.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case focused in brand new cases for music instruments, that looked to be vintage cases. For this brand concept I attempted to come up with a logo that offered a fluid vintage feel to it and could be used for everything from a website to a label on brand new cases that appeared like they were from another era.

Logo developed for an orthodontist in Oildale, California, style consist of an arc with lines intersecting with it to suggest metal braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental business logos can be one of the most challenging logo jobs because it appears that almost every dental professional involves a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dentistry business logos are one of the very most cliche ridden careers when it comes to business advertising, if restaurants approached their branding in the very same way dental professionals do every one of their company logos would definitely be a picture trying to explain something they served, McDonalds would probably have a picture of a potato and a cow.

I understand the thinking behind including an illustration of something mouth related to a dentist’s company logo nevertheless it has to be performed subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dentists logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental care industry.

I really love doing dental business logos simply because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies dentistry or a certain area of dental treatment like orthodontics without resorting to the clichéd course of action that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics provided such an opportunity and ultimately I created a concept that does not have a solitary smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t overt, they are still implied in the design. When I turned this design over to the client the only smile that was evident was actually the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo design made for a household nonprofit, the logo features 4 characters startled in height to stand for a family with in the layout.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation contacted ImageCo to help them come up with a brand identity design that would be illustrative of the love that William McNally had for the people in his city. The majority of logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain images of a happy family, a cliche heavy approach to any logo design is to be very literal about what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve discovered that the best designs are the ones that are understated and don’t hit the viewer on the head with what the business or institution wishes to project.

The McNally Foundation’s name presented a unique opportunity to do a custom logo design that conveyed that they were about families without being openly cheesy about it. The objective of a logo is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer tries to use the logo design to summarize how individuals should think or feel they don’t understand the mission of a logo. If people have to consider a logo to understand what it means, it has failed, a logo needs to be immediately understood and a logo design that explains itself will never have the opportunity to be comprehended.

Logo style produced for a hair design workshop including a manuscript font a hummingbird and an indicated orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios wanted a business logo that communicated a sense of simplicity and connection for their new hair studio. I came up with a design which did not go the obvious course of crafting simply a stylized orchid but alternatively delivered a company logo that implied a flower in the formation of a swirl integrated into the letter O in the title and by putting attention on the logo design along with the figure of a hummingbird hovering above the image itself. The obvious path in designing a company logo is frequently the wrong course and in this case, the design ended up not being about the flower but instead laid the focus on the perception that they really wanted to transmit to their customers.

Dazzo Arabians | Logo Design

Logo style for a software application developer the design functions as well as iconic element of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the key part of an operating system (OS). Traditionally, the kernel is responsible for memory management, process and task management, and disk operations. The kernel links the computer hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that operates as a connection in between the software and computer hardware.

The business logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is located a couple of miles from the business offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to explain anything to anyone with regards to what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. However it meant something to the business owner of the company and in quite a few cases the significance supporting a business logo is just as important as how it serves the company it represents.

Evolve logo layout developed for a Oildale, California indoor developer, design attribute a collection of red circles that converge and also change the letter O in the center of the logo layout.

A logo design featuring an angler in the middle of the name casting a fly towards the customer.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brand names such as Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in over 7 billion a year offering goods and equipment to outdoor sporting lovers the owners of On the Fly knew the market was primed for an outdoor sporting merchant that functions as a consignment firm. Whether or not you are into boating, angling or rock climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly provides a destination for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all sorts of passions, a location to market their pre-owned goods to other sports enthusiasts. I created their Oildale logo design dsign utilizing a graphic that garners the interest of vehicles and projects an image that evokes the enthusiasm of the outdoors. With traffic that averages 45 mph I knew it would take more than the typical logo/sign to get commuters to take notice, hence the graphic of a fly fisherman in his natural and relaxed habitat.
Logo design MQ farms, this logo style has actually a field integrated right into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms logo design wasn’t actually designed for an Oildale, California regional farm it was actually designed for a commodities broker, and this business logo was one of many which fell underneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The end goal was to develop an identity that projects confidence, success, and luxury.

Oildale Logo design for a nonprofit, Turning Point Solutions - the logo layout attribute for ostensibly encountering arrowhead and the arrowheads indicate that it is a ruby shape.

Turning Point Foundation | Logo Design

The Turning Point Foundation was entirely open to what kind of logo design they wanted, this can be a good thing or a bad thing. Good in that it offers a designer the liberty to explore any idea that comes to mind, bad in that it’s challenging to hit a bullseye without realizing where the target is. Luckily, in this particular case, I struck a bullseye with the first go.

Logo design designed for the use of an indicator for the dining establishment (Brewgrrs), it is an ornate script font style that is similar to a famous sporting activities group logo design.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I’ve created dozens of restaurant custom logo designs and business signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments, and eateries all over the USA, from cupcake bakeries to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I think Brewgrrs was my favorite. Brewgrrs was a cool project where I worked closely with the business owner to produce a logo design that worked extremely well and did a fantastic job to brand them, it functioned on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the lighted sign that hung above their doors, and was highly visible and very easy to read from over a block away.
