Orangevale, California Logo Design

Each and every new Orangevale venture knows they need a logo, yet few entrepreneurs thoroughly comprehend the pivotal role their organization logo can play in their success, or precisely why one logo works far better than another. A company logo has an immediate and long term effect on the growth of a business, choose the right one and it will make the door swing and phone ring, go with the incorrect one and it will be a barrier and a hindrance for the life of a company.

The logos included in the ImageCo portfolio help Orangevale, California businesses prosper, they are effective in any given situation and the reason why they are so effective is because they all have these five traits in common.

  1. Simplicity: simple logos do not demand deliberation, they can be realized in just a glance.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to billboards a scalable business logo will remain legible and equally emotive at every scale.
  3. Versatility: logos that work on any sort of device, in print, on product packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are unique, and they are suitable for the company they represent.
  5. Relevance: a logo needs to be ageless and will feel relevant today, tomorrow, and forty years from today.

Logo PORTFOLIO Volume 1

Retro logo design of a bike developed for a Orangevale, California coffee cafe and a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This start-up coffee roaster and coffee shop were actually launching in an older part of town and hoped to cast a vintage feel without appearing as boring or low energy. I fulfilled each of the tasks by designing a logo concept that contains a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is antiquated, high energy, and is a timeless business image.

medical logo design with a microscopic lense slide and also bacteria made for Orangevale, California medical facility.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the scientific discipline which researches the causes and effects of diseases, mainly the branch of medicine which deals with the laboratory assessment of specimens of body tissue for diagnostic or forensic purposes.

The Mid-Valley Pathology logo I came up with is really the only instance I call to mind where I was able to incorporate a bacteria-laden microscope slide within a logo design.

Typically I try not to be extremely literal with a concept and to a degree, this design approaches the company it represents quite literally, but it does it in a fashion that incorporates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an explanation of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancement to the name that makes it more intriguing, more interest grabbing and a lot more memorable.

logo layout with a jumping environment-friendly frog designed for a family members enjoyable center in Orangevale, California.

Cool Springs | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a really cool project to work on, probably because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the usual of the sorts of jobs which come my way, I’ve produced dozens of logo designs for doctors, dental offices, and lawyers but Cool Springz is without question the one and only trampoline park which I have actually ever gotten the privilege to work on.

Given that the full name of the business features the word springz in its name the apparent choice would have been to incorporate a couple springs into the design but Cool Springz is a fun place to go and spring doesn’t really reflect an environment of fun does it. My thought process on this logo project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, in the end I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the title itself to give the logo a more enthusiastic high energy feel.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my concept and named the frog Jax and included him in to everything they used for advertising and marketing. I also believe this is the only time that a logo I did was turned into a mascot when they had a staff member costume fabricated to look exactly like my frog design.

photography logo featuring a flock of birds, a hill, a path, a stream, as well as a tree - made for Orangevale, California traveling photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo job I took on for a travel photographer, which is a pretty specialized field of photography and I think it is a niche sector because travel photographers don’t shoot places or things but rather reveal emotional experiences by means of the images they record. The idea behind this logo design was to use negative space to project more than what was visible upon initial glance, which I think is representative of the majority of professional photographers in that they frequently share whole stories using their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a thousand words but I think that some photographs convey significantly more than that because their photos often have an emotional resonance which can’t be revealed with mere words. I tried to do something the same to this logo by employing the positive space in the design to say one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was communicated through the first impression. I think, in looking back, that my objective was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Orangevale logo but also to show the depth of her work and in the way that she sees the world through the lens of her camera.

Orangevale logo layout with a seagull used for the letter A. Designed for a wireless retail business.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The majority of logo design projects that I take on I really take pleasure in and the Coastal Wireless design was one that I really felt good about, but the client didn’t quite share my excitement for it. I felt really good about the concept of using the seagull shape as a stroke in the letter A but my client, even though he liked the concept, really did not care for my choice of birds. This particular guy truly despised seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, luckily the rest of his family did not share his scorn for this specific type of sea bird.

When I turn a design over to a customer I urge them to discuss it with friends and colleagues and family as well as with folks that they don’t actually know so as to get unbiased viewpoints on the value of a design concept. Fortunately, he discussed it with his whole family and they loved the concept and were able to persuade him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to insert every other seabird he could think of … ultimately I was able to talk him out of his choice of a pelican and he proceeded with the original design.

Logo designs are a strange animal in the design world given that the people that are inclined to hire a professional to design their business logo realize how crucial a logo design is for their company so they are much more vested in the final result. Every logo design project has it’s portion of difficulties, however the largest obstacle is finding that sweet spot in a design that works really well at the task it’s required to do in branding a business and also giving the client the identity they see for themselves.

a red panda logo layout with bamboo in the background, design for Orangevale, California publication author

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a thin piece of real estate to work with, however it really is the most necessary part of a published book since it is often the initial thing a person sees in the book store. With regard to a publisher, it’s the optimal opportunity that they will ever have to advertise their brand and get their logo design in front of the people that purchase actual books.

This 3 color design is vibrant, colorful and eye-catching and it leaves plenty of area for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo developed for an airline company in Los Angeles, the logo design has two letter A's with the bars customized to indicate they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines arrive and go yet it looks like that in many cases 1 of the aspects folks usually tend to recollect the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a smaller start-up commuter/shuttle airline situated in LA and although I’m not certain it actually “took off” their organization logo didn’t ground them. The bookend A’s in their brand lent itself well to imparting a spirit of airline flight and it was undoubtedly a victory.

Orangevale logo layout utilized for marketing and also a tag design for Vintage Instance features an old font design.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case focused in new cases for musical instruments, that seemed to be much older cases. For this custom logo design I tried to come up with a logo that had a fluid retro feel to it and could be used for anything from a website to an insignia on brand new cases that looked like they were from a different point in time.

Logo design created for an orthodontist in Orangevale, California, style consist of an arc with lines converging with it to indicate steel braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dentistry logos can easily be one of the most difficult logo jobs due to the fact that it appears that every single dentist involves a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dentistry logos are one of the very most cliche ridden careers when it comes to company branding, if dining establishments approached their branding in the same way dental practitioners do every one of their logo designs would definitely be a picture explaining anything they served, McDonalds would most likely include an image of a potato and a cow.

I understand the thinking behind including a likeness of something mouth associated to a dentist’s logo design but it has to be performed subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dental professionals logo that litter the branding landscape of the dentistry industry.

I really really love doing dentist logos simply because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies the field of dentistry or a certain area of the field of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the clichéd course of action that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics delivered such an opportunity and ultimately I created a design that doesn’t have a single smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t overt, they are still implied in the concept. When I turned this particular design over to the client the only smile that was evident was actually the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo created for a family members not-for-profit, the logo design includes 4 personalities startled in elevation to represent a family unit with in the style.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation asked ImageCo to help them come up with a brand identity design that would be depictive of the devotion that William McNally had for the families in his community. The majority of logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain images of a happy family, a cliche heavy approach to any logo design is to be far too literal with regards to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve found that the best designs are the ones that are downplayed and never hit the viewer on the head with what the business or institution hopes to relate.

The McNally Foundation’s name offered a unique opportunity to do a logo design which communicated that they were about families without being overtly corny about it. The goal of a logo is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer attempts to use the logo design to explain exactly how individuals ought to think or feel they don’t understand the mission of a logo. If viewers have to ponder a logo design to understand what it means, it has been in vain, a logo needs to be instantly understood and a logo design that explains itself will never have the opportunity to be comprehended.

Logo layout developed for a hair style studio including a script font a hummingbird and a suggested orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios wanted a company logo which conveyed an atmosphere of relaxation and elegance for their new hair salon. I created a concept that didn’t go the obvious course of designing simply a stylized orchid but alternatively designed a logo which implied an orchid in the pattern of a swirl incorporated in to the letter O in the title and by placing emphasis on the concept with the silhouette of a hummingbird hovering over the logo design itself. The obvious path in designing a logo is frequently the wrong route and in this case, the design ended up not being about the flower but alternately laid the attention on the perception that they wanted to forecast to their patrons.

Logo design for a software designer the style features and also renowned element of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the principal component of an operating system (OS). Typically, the kernel is responsible for memory administration, process and task management, and disk operations. The kernel attaches the system hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that serves as a bridge in between the software and hardware.

The logo design I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is situated a number of miles from the offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to describe anything to anyone with regards to what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. But it intimated something to the business owner of the business and in many cases the symbolism behind a logo design is just as important as how it brands the organization it represents.

A logo layout including an angler in the center of the name casting a fly in the direction of the viewer.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With companies like Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in more than 7 billion a year retailing goods and equipment to outdoor sporting lovers the founders of On the Fly knew the market place was primed for an outdoor sporting store that functions as a consignment company. Whether or not you are into boating, sportfishing or mountain climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly provides a location for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all sorts of interests, a spot to sell off their used equipment to other sports enthusiasts. I tailored their Orangevale business logo dsign utilizing a graphic that garners the interest of vehicles and sends an image that calls to mind the passion of the outdoors. With visitor traffic that averages 45 mph I knew it would take more than the average logo/sign to get travelers to take notice, hence the image of a fly fisherman in his natural and relaxed habitat.
Logo style MQ ranches, this logo layout has actually an area included into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms emblem idea wasn’t actually designed for an Orangevale, California area farm it was really designed for a commodities broker, and this particular trademark was one of many that fell beneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The objective was actually to make a image that projects esteem, success, and wealth.

Orangevale Logo design for a not-for-profit, Transforming Factor Solutions - the logo layout function for externally facing arrowhead and also the arrowheads suggest that it is a ruby shape.

Turning Point Foundation | Logo Design

The Turning Point Foundation was completely open to what type of logo design they preferred, this can be a good thing or a bad thing. Good in that it offers a designer the liberty to discover any concept that comes to mind, bad in that it’s hard to hit a bullseye in the absence of understanding where exactly the target is. Luckily, in this particular case, I struck a bullseye with the 1st shot.

Logo developed for using an indicator for the restaurant (Brewgrrs), it is an ornate script font style that is similar to a renowned sports group logo design.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I’ve created dozens of restaurant custom logo designs and business signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the US, from cupcake bake shops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I believe Brewgrrs was my favorite. Brewgrrs was a great undertaking in which I worked closely with the proprietor to create a logo design that worked extremely well and did a great job to brand them, it worked on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the lighted sign that hung over their doors, and was highly visible and very legible from over a block away.
