Palmdale Logo Design

Nearly every new Palmdale venture realizes that they require a logo, however few new business owners entirely recognize the key role their business logo can play in their success, or the reason that one business logo functions far better than another. A logo design has a critical and long-term impact on the success of a business, go with the correct one and it can make the door swing and cash register ring, select the wrong one and it can be a barrier and an impediment for the life of a business. The logos featured in the ImageCo portfolio help Palmdale companies prosper, they are effective in any given situation and the reason they are so effective is because they all have these five things in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logos don’t require consideration, they can be understood in just a glance.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to billboards a scalable logo design will be legible and just as emotive at virtually any dimension.
  3. Versatility: logos that operate on any device, in print, on packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are unique, and they are suitable for the enterprise they represent.
  5. Relevance: a logo design needs to be ageless and should feel relevant today, tomorrow, and thirty years from now.

Retro logo design of a bike developed for a Palmdale coffee cafe as well as a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This startup coffee roaster and coffeehouse were actually launching in an old part of the area and wanted to cast a retro vibe without appearing as boring or low energy. I fulfilled each of the tasks by means of creating a trademark concept that includes a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is old-fashioned, higher energy, and is a timeless business image.

clinical logo style with a microscope slide as well as bacteria developed for Palmdale medical clinic.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the science that researches the root causes and effects of diseases, mainly the branch of healthcare that deals with the laboratory evaluation of samples of human body tissue for diagnostic or forensic intents.

The Mid-Valley Pathology logo design I came up with is the sole instance I call to mind in which I was able to integrate a bacteria-laden microscope slide into a logo design.

Normally I attempt not to be excessively literal with a concept and to a degree, this specific design approaches the company it represents rather literally, but it does it in a way that integrates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an illustration of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancer to the brand that helps make it more intriguing, more attention grabbing and much more unforgettable.

logo layout with a leaping eco-friendly frog created for a family members fun center in Palmdale.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a very cool project to work on, most likely because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the usual of the sorts of projects that come my way, I’ve done dozens of logo designs for medical professionals, dental practices, and lawyers but Cool Springz is without question the only trampoline park which I have ever gotten the opportunity to work on.

Given that the name of the business features the word springz in its name the clear choice would have been to include a some springs into the design but Cool Springz is a fun place to go and spring does not actually resonate an environment of fun does it. My thought process on this logo design project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, in the end I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the title itself to provide the logo a more lively high energy feeling.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my concept and named the frog Jax and included him in to everything they used for advertising. I also think this is the only time that a logo I came up with was transformed into a mascot when they had an employee costume fashioned to look exactly like my frog design.

digital photography logo featuring a group of birds, a mountain, a path, a stream, and a tree - made for Palmdale traveling professional photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo design job I took on for a travel photographer, which is a pretty niche field of photography and I think it is a niche speciality because travel photographers don’t shoot places or things but rather convey emotional journeys through the photos they record. The thought behind this logo design was to use negative space to project more than what was visible upon initial glance, which I think is quintessential of most good photographers in that they often convey whole stories using their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a thousand words but I think that some photographs convey a lot more than that because their photos often have an emotional resonance that can’t be revealed with mere words. I attempted to do something comparable to this logo by using the positive space in the design to say one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was communicated through the first impression. I think, in hindsight, that my objective was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Palmdale logo but also to show the depth of her work and in the way that she views the world through the lens of her camera.

Palmdale logo style with a seagull utilized for the letter A. Designed for a cordless retail organisation.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The lion’s share of custom logo design jobs that I take on I honestly enjoy and the Coastal Wireless project was one that I really felt good about, however the client didn’t quite share my excitement for it. I felt really good about the concept of using the seagull form as a stroke in the character A however my customer, while he liked the concept, didn’t care for my choice of birds. This particular man really hated seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, thankfully the rest of his family did not share his scorn for this particular variety of sea bird.

When I turn a design over to a client I encourage them to talk about it with friends and family members as well as with individuals that they don’t even know so as to get honest judgements on the value of a concept. Fortunately, he discussed it with his family and they really liked the concept and were able to reason with him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to insert every other seabird he could think of … in the end I was able to talk him out of his preference of a pelican and he went with the original concept.

Business logos are a strange creature in the design world given that the people that have a tendency to hire a professional to design their business logo realize how important a logo is for their company so they are much more invested in the outcome. Every logo project possesses it’s allotment of hurdles, but the most significant obstacle is finding that sweet spot in a design that functions really well at the job it’s required to do in branding a company and also giving the client the identity they see for themselves.

a red panda logo design with bamboo in the background, style for Palmdale book author

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a thin segment of real estate to work with, however it is the most critical part of a printed book given that it is in most cases the initial thing a person views in the bookstore. Regarding a publisher, it’s the opportunity they will ever have to advertise their product and get their logo design in front of the individuals that buy actual books.

This 3 color design is vivid, picturesque and eye-catching and it leaves plenty of space for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo design created for an airline in Los Angeles, the logo design has 2 letter A's with benches customized to indicate they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines arrive and go but it looks like that in many instances one of the aspects folks tend to recall the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a smaller fledgling commuter/shuttle airline based in LA and although I’m not certain it really “took off” their logo didn’t slow them. The bookend A’s in their title lent itself well to imparting a spirit of air travel and it was certainly a victory.

Palmdale logo style made use of for advertising and also a label style for Vintage Instance features an old-fashioned font style.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in new cases for music instruments, which appeared to be older cases. For this custom logo concept I tried to come up with a logo that provided a fluid old style feel to it and could be used for everything from a website to an insignia on brand new cases that appeared like they were from a different era.

Logo produced for an orthodontist in Palmdale, style consist of an arc with lines converging via it to indicate metal dental braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental logo designs can be one of the most challenging and difficult logo jobs considering that it seems that every single dental professional features a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dentistry logos are one of the very most cliche ridden professions when it comes to small business marketing, if restaurants approached their branding in the same way dental professionals do every one of their logo designs would definitely be a picture explaining something they served, McDonalds would probably have a picture of a potato and a cow.

I understand the thinking behind including an illustration of something mouth associated to a dentist’s logo but it has to be done subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dentists logo that litter the branding landscape of the dentistry industry.

I really love doing dental care logos simply because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies dentistry or a particular area of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the stereotypical course of action that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics delivered such an opportunity and eventually I created a concept that does not have a single smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t overt, they are still implied in the concept. When I turned this particular concept over to the customer the only smile that was obvious was the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo design made for a family nonprofit, the logo features 4 characters startled in elevation to represent a family with in the layout.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation contacted ImageCo to help them come up with a brand identity design that would be representative of the love that William McNally had for the folks in his city. Many logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain portrayals of a happy family, a cliche heavy technique to any logo design is to be very literal about what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve found that the best concepts are the ones that are understated and never hit the viewer on the head with what the company or institution wishes to convey.

The McNally Foundation’s name offered a unique opportunity to do a logo design which communicated that they were about families without being openly cheesy about it. The aim of a logo is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer makes an effort to use the logo to explain precisely how people should think or feel they don’t understand the goal of a logo. If people have to consider a logo design to understand what it means, it has been in vain, a logo needs to be instantly understood and a logo design that describes itself will never have the opportunity to be understood.

Logo design developed for a hair design workshop including a script font a hummingbird and an implied orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios required a company logo that carried a feeling of simplicity and elegance for their new hair salon. I created a concept which did not go the obvious direction of designing just a stylized orchid but rather designed a logo which suggested a flower in the pattern of a swirl blended in to the letter O in the name and by placing attention on the logo design with the figure of a hummingbird floating above the logo itself. The obvious path in designing a business logo is oftentimes the wrong path and in this case, the design ended up not being about the orchid but alternately laid the main focus on the emotion that they really wanted to project to their patrons.

Logo layout for a software application programmer the design features as well as famous aspect of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the key component of an operating system (OS). Typically, the kernel is responsible for memory administration, process and task management, and disk managing. The kernel unites the system hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that operates as a connection between the software and hardware.

The logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is situated a few miles from the offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to identify anything to anyone regarding to what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. However it intimated something to the owner of the business and in quite a few cases the meaning behind a business logo is equally as important as how it brands the business it stands for.

Progress logo style created for a Palmdale indoor developer, layout attribute a collection of red circles that intersect and change the letter O in the center of the logo design.

Evolv Interior Design | Logo Design | Branding

logo design provided for Advanced Management Solutions, the personalities for letter V as well as A in middle of the word advanced have been changed to tie straight right into the words below.

Advanced Leadership Solutions | Logo Design | Website Design

This particular Palmdale logo design project was done for a leadership coach that helps business leaders to develop into more successful at managing people, expectations, and productivity.

A logo design featuring an angler in the center of the name casting a fly towards the audience.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With companies like Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in more than 7 billion a year offering supplies and equipment to outdoor sporting fans the founders of On the Fly realized the market was prepared for an outdoor sporting retailer that functions as a consignment business. Whether you are into boating, fishing or mountain climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly presents a location for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all kinds of passions, a location to sell their pre-owned items to other sports enthusiasts. I created their Palmdale logo dsign using an image that garners the interest of vehicles and sends an image that wakens the passion of the outdoors. With visitor traffic that averages 45 miles per hour I knew it would take more than the average logo/sign to get commuters to take notice, hence the illustration of a fly fisherman in his natural and relaxed habitat.
Logo design MQ farms, this logo layout has a field integrated right into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms logo concept wasn’t actually created for an Palmdale area farm it was in reality developed for a products broker, and this brand was one of a handful of which fell under the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The objective was to develop an identity that projects confidence, financial success, and opulence.
Logo designed for making use of an indicator for the restaurant (Brewgrrs), it is an ornate manuscript font style that is evocative a famous sporting activities team logo design.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I have crafted loads of restaurant business logos and business signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the US, from cupcake pastry shops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I think Brewgrrs was my favorite. Brewgrrs was a neat undertaking in which I worked directly with the proprietor to create a logo which worked really well and did a fantastic job to brand them, it functioned on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the illuminated signage that hung over their doors, and was highly visible and very easy to read from over a block away.
