Paramount Logo Design

Virtually every new Paramount business realizes that they are in need of a logo, but few new business owners thoroughly realize the essential role their business logo can make in their financial success, or exactly why one business logo works better than another. A logo has an immediate and lasting impact on the prosperity of a company, select the right one and it will make the door swing and phone ring, choose the incorrect one and it can be a barrier and a hindrance for the longevity of a company. The logos included in the ImageCo portfolio help Paramount companies succeed, they are effective in any given scenario and the reason they are so effective is because they all have these 5 things in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logo designs don’t demand contemplation, they can be understood in merely a glance.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to signboards a scalable logo design will be legible and equally emotive at every scale.
  3. Versatility: logos that function on any type of device, in print, on product packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball-cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are exclusive, and they are suitable for the company they stand for.
  5. Relevance: a logo design needs to be enduring and should feel relevant today, tomorrow, and forty years from now.

Retro logo layout of a bike produced for a Paramount coffee cafe and also a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This start-up coffee roaster and coffee bar were opening in an older part of the community and really wanted to visualize a nostalgic atmosphere without coming across as stodgy or low energy. I accomplished both jobs by creating a logo concept that uses a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is antiquated, high energy, and is a enduring business image.

medical logo design with a microscope slide and also bacteria made for Paramount clinical clinic.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the science that examines the root causes and consequences of diseases, especially the field of medicine which works with the laboratory assessment of samplings of human body tissue for diagnostic or forensic objectives.

The Mid-Valley Pathology custom logo design I came up with is the only instance I remember in which I was in a position to integrate a bacteria-laden microscope slide within a business logo design.

Generally I try not to be excessively literal with a concept and to a degree, this specific design approaches the company it serves very literally, however it does it in a way that incorporates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as a description of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancer to the brand that helps make it more appealing, more attention grabbing and a lot more unforgettable.

logo design with a jumping green frog designed for a family members enjoyable facility in Paramount.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a really fun project to work on, probably because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s additionally a project that is way out of the norm of the types of jobs which come my way, I’ve produced dozens of logo designs for medical professionals, dental practices, and attorneys but Cool Springz is without question the one and only trampoline park that I have ever had the privilege to work on.

Given that the title of the business has the word springz in its name the apparent choice would have been to include a few springs into the design but Cool Springz is a fun destination to go and spring does not actually resonate an atmosphere of fun does it. My thought process on this logo project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, eventually I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the title itself to give the logo a better dynamic high energy mood.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my concept and named the frog Jax and included him in to everything they utilized for marketing and advertising. I also believe this is the only time that a logo I did was turned into a mascot when they had a staff member costume fashioned to look exactly like my frog design.

digital photography logo design featuring a group of birds, a hill, a path, a stream, and also a tree - developed for Paramount travel photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo design job I took on for a travel photographer, which is a fairly specialized field of photography and I believe it is a niche speciality because travel photographers don’t capture places or things but rather communicate emotional journeys through the pictures they capture. The idea behind this logo design was to utilize negative space to project more than what was visible upon first view, which I think is quintessential of almost all professional photographers in that they often convey entire stories using their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a thousand words but I think that some photographs convey much more than that because their photos frequently have an emotional resonance which can’t be communicated with just words. I tried to do something much the same to this logo by using the positive space in the design to voice one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was conveyed through the first impression. I think, in hindsight, that my objective was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Paramount logo but also to reveal the depth in her work and in the way that she views the world through the lens of her camera.

Paramount logo design with a seagull used for the letter A. Designed for a cordless retail business.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The bulk of logo design projects that I take on I really relish and the Coastal Wireless assignment was one that I certainly felt good about, but the customer didn’t quite share my excitement for it. I felt really good about the idea of using the seagull form as a stroke in the letter A however my client, while he loved the concept, didn’t care for my choice of birds. This guy genuinely hated seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, luckily the rest of his family did not share his hatred for this specific kind of sea bird.

When I turn a concept over to a client I encourage all of them to talk about it with friends and family as well as with people that they don’t actually know so as to get honest assessments on the value of a design. Fortunately, he talked about it with his family members and they really loved the design and were able to persuade him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to insert every other seabird he could think of … eventually I was able to talk him out of his preference of a pelican and he proceeded with the original design.

Custom logo designs are a weird animal in the design world given that the people that tend to hire an expert to design their logo design understand how crucial a logo is for their company so they are much more invested in the result. Every logo design project possesses it’s share of difficulties, but the biggest obstacle is identifying that sweet spot in a design that functions really well at the task it’s required to do in branding a company and also giving the customer the identity they see for themselves.

a red panda logo design with bamboo behind-the-scenes, layout for Paramount book author

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a narrow segment of real estate to work with, nevertheless it is the most crucial part of a published book due to the fact that it is ordinarily the first thing a person sees in the book shop. Concerning a publishing company, it’s the opportunity they will ever get to publicize their label and get their logo design in front of the people that buy actual books.

This three color design is vibrant, colorful and eye-catching and it gives plenty of room for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo design made for an airline in Los Angeles, the logo has 2 letter A's with benches modified to suggest they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines come and go but it seems that in many cases 1 of the traits people often tend to remember the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a smaller start-up commuter/shuttle airline company situated in LA and while I’m not sure it actually “took off” their logo design didn’t slow them. The bookend A’s in their brand lent itself well to affording a feeling of flight and it was definitely a winner.

Paramount logo design utilized for advertising as well as a tag style for Vintage Situation includes an archaic font style design.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in new cases for music instruments, which looked to be much older cases. For this business logo design I strove to come up with a logo that provided a fluid old-fashioned feel to it and could easily be utilized for anything from a web page to an insignia on brand new cases that appeared like they were from another era.

Logo created for an orthodontist in Paramount, layout consist of an arc with lines converging via it to indicate metal braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental care business logos can be one of the most challenging and difficult logo jobs due to the fact that it seems that every dentist involves a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dental logo designs are one of the very most cliche ridden professions when it comes to business branding, if restaurants approached their advertising in the very same way dentists do every one of their logo designs would definitely be a picture explaining anything they served, McDonalds would likely include a picture of a potato and a cow.

I understand the thinking behind including an illustration of something mouth associated to a dentist’s logo nevertheless it has to be done subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dental professionals logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental care industry.

I really enjoy doing dental care logos because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies the field of dentistry or a specific field of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the clichéd course of action that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics provided such an opportunity and subsequently I created a design that doesn’t have a single smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t overt, they are still suggested in the concept. When I turned this particular concept over to the customer the only smile that was apparent was the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo design created for a household not-for-profit, the logo includes 4 personalities startled in elevation to represent a family unit with in the layout.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation contacted ImageCo to help them come up with a logo design that would be representative of the devotion that William McNally had for the people in his community. Many logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain images of a happy family, a cliche heavy approach to any logo design is to be overly literal with regards to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve found that the best designs are the ones that are understated and never hit the viewer on the head with what the company or institution wishes to communicate.

The McNally Foundation’s name provided a unique opportunity to do a logo design that communicated that they were about families without being overtly corny about it. The aim of a logo is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer attempts to use the logo to illustrate specifically how individuals ought to think or feel they don’t understand the purpose of a logo. If you have to think about a logo to understand what it means, it has failed, a logo needs to be immediately understood and a logo that explains itself won’t have the opportunity to be understood.

Logo layout created for a hair layout studio featuring a script font a hummingbird and a suggested orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios desired a company logo that related a sense of ease and connection for their new hair studio. I came up with a design that did not go the obvious path of making just a stylized orchid but instead crafted a logo that implied an orchid in the formation of a swirl integrated into the letter O in the title and by putting attention on the concept with the figure of a hummingbird hovering over the logo design itself. The obvious path in designing a company logo is more often than not the wrong path and in this case, the design ended up not being about the orchid but instead put the focus on the feeling that they wanted to transmit to their clients.

Dazzo Arabians | Logo Design

ImageCo created a distinct logotype concept tailored to epitomize the unique physical traits of the Arabian kind of horses. By having an unique head form and very high tail posture, the Arabian is one of the most easily identifiable equine lineages in the world.

Las Cafe | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

Las Cafe logo style a tiny restaurant, layout consists of a modified script font style which floats above a group of elaborate lines and dots.

Logo layout for a software developer the layout functions and also legendary component of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the principal component of an operating system (OS). Traditionally, the kernel is responsible for memory administration, process and task management, and drive operations. The kernel attaches the computer hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that operates as a connection in between the software and computer hardware.

The logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is situated a few miles from the business offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to point out anything to anyone regarding to what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. However, it represented something to the owner of the business and in many cases the significance supporting a logo design is equally as important as how it brands the enterprise it stands for.

Develop logo layout developed for a Paramount interior designer, style attribute a collection of red circles that intersect as well as replace the letter O in the center of the logo style.

Evolv Interior Design | Logo Design | Branding

A logo design including an angler in the middle of the name casting a fly in the direction of the audience.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brand names like Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in more than 7 billion a year selling goods and equipment to outdoor sporting lovers the founders of On the Fly realized the market place was ready for an outdoor sporting retailer that functions as a consignment company. Whether or not you are into boating, sportfishing or mountain climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly provides a destination for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all kinds of interests, a spot to sell off their pre-owned equipment to other sports enthusiasts. I created their Paramount logo dsign using a graphic that grabs the interest of vehicles and projects an image that calls to mind the passion of the outdoors. With traffic that averages forty five mph I realized it would take more than the typical logo/sign to get travelers to take notice, hence the image of a fly fisherman in his natural and calm habitat.
Logo style MQ farms, this logo style has a field included right into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms company logo design wasn’t really composed for an Paramount area farm it was really created for a products broker, and this creative logo was one of a handful of which fell under the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The aim was to develop a graphic that projects self-assurance, success, and wealth.
Logo design designed for using an indicator for the restaurant (Brewgrrs), it is a luxuriant script typeface that is similar to a renowned sports group logo design.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I have crafted dozens of restaurant logo designs and business signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the US, from cupcake bakeries to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I believe Brewgrrs was my absolute favorite. Brewgrrs was a cool undertaking where I worked closely with the proprietor to create a business logo that worked really well and did a fantastic job to brand them, it functioned on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the illuminated sign that hung above their doors, and was highly visible and very easy to read from over a block away.
