Rancho Cordova, California Logo Design

Every new Rancho Cordova business person knows they are in need of a logo, however few entrepreneurs thoroughly comprehend the essential role their logo design will perform in their success, or the reason that one business logo functions far better than another. A company logo has an immediate and long-term effect on the financial success of a business, go with the correct one and it will make the door swing and cash register ring, choose the incorrect one and it can be an obstacle and a hindrance for the life of a business.

The logos included in the ImageCo portfolio help Rancho Cordova, California businesses succeed, they are effective in any given scenario and the reason they are so effective is that they all have these 5 traits in common.

  1. Simplicity: simple logos do not require contemplation, they can be comprehended in just a glimpse.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to billboards a scalable logo will continue to be legible and just as emotive at every size.
  3. Versatility: logos that work on any type of device, in print, on packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are unique, and they are suitable for the business they stand for.
  5. Relevance: a logo design needs to be enduring and will feel as relevant today, tomorrow, and thirty years from now.
Retro logo design of a bicycle developed for a Rancho Cordova, California coffee cafe and also a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This startup coffee roaster and coffee shop were actually launching in an old part of the city and hoped to project a vintage atmosphere without coming across as boring or low energy. I fulfilled each of the jobs via creating a trademark concept that incorporates a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is antiquated, high energy, and is a ageless business image.

medical logo design with a microscope slide and also germs made for Rancho Cordova, California medical center.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the science which analyzes the root causes and consequences of diseases, especially the field of healthcare which works with the clinical evaluation of samplings of human body tissue for diagnostic or forensic reasons.

The Mid-Valley Pathology brand I came up with is really the sole instance I recall in which I was able to integrate a bacteria-laden microscope slide into a logo design.

Generally I try not to be excessively literal with a design and to a degree, this specific design approaches the company it serves very literally, yet it does it in a way that integrates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as a description of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancement to the brand that helps make it more captivating, more attention grabbing and much more meaningful.

logo style with a jumping green frog designed for a family enjoyable center in Rancho Cordova, California.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a really cool project to work on, most likely because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the usual of the sorts of jobs that come my way, I’ve produced dozens of logo designs for surgeons, dentists, and lawyers but Cool Springz is without question the one and only trampoline park that I have actually ever had the opportunity to work on.

Given that the title of the business features the word springz in its name the obvious choice would have been to include a some springs into the concept but Cool Springz is a fun place to go and spring doesn’t actually resonate an atmosphere of fun does it. My thought process on this project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, in the end I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the title itself to provide the logo a more lively high energy atmosphere.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my design and named the frog Jax and incorporated him in to everything they utilized for marketing. I also think this is the only time that a logo I came up with was turned into a mascot when they had a staff member costume fashioned to look exactly like my frog design.

photography logo including a flock of birds, a mountain, a route, a stream, and a tree - designed for Rancho Cordova, California traveling photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo project I took on for a travel photographer, which is a pretty specialized field of photography and I think it is a niche field because travel photographers don’t capture locations or things but instead communicate emotional experiences through the photos they record. The idea behind this logo concept was to use negative space to communicate more than what was visible upon initial glance, which I think is quintessential of the majority of good photographers in that they often share whole stories through their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a thousand words but I think that some photographs convey a lot more than that because their photos frequently have an emotional resonance that can’t be revealed with mere words. I attempted to do something the same to this logo by using the positive space in the design to suggest one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was communicated through the first impression. I think, in looking back, that my objective was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Rancho Cordova logo but also to illustrate the depth of her art and in the way that she views the world through the lens of her camera.

Rancho Cordova logo design with a seagull used for the letter A. Designed for a wireless retail company.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The bulk of logo design projects that I take on I really relish and the Coastal Wireless project was one that I really felt good about, but the client didn’t quite share my excitement for it. I felt really good about the concept of using the seagull form as a stroke in the letter A but the customer, even though he loved the concept, really did not care for my choice of birds. This particular guy seriously loathed seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, fortunately the rest of his friends and family did not share his contempt for this specific kind of sea bird.

When I turn a design over to a customer I encourage them to discuss it with friends and family members as well as with folks that they don’t even know so as to get objective viewpoints on the merit of a design. Fortunately, he discussed it with his whole family and they really loved the design and were able to persuade him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to incorporate every other seabird he could think of … ultimately I was able to talk him out of his choice of a pelican and he went with the original design.

Logo designs are a weird creature in the design world because the people that tend to hire an expert to design their logo realize how crucial a logo design is for their company so they are much more invested in the result. Every logo project has it’s allotment of hurdles, however the most significant obstacle is finding that sweet spot in a design that operates really well at the job it’s required to do in branding a company and also providing the customer the identity they see for themselves.

a red panda logo layout with bamboo in the background, style for Rancho Cordova, California book publisher

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a narrow parcel of real estate to work with, but it really is the most essential part of a published book because it is usually the initial thing a person sees in the book shop. With respect to a publishing company, it’s the most ideal opportunity they will likely ever have to advertise their brand and get their logo design in front of the individuals that shop for actual books.

This three color design is vibrant, picturesque and eye-catching and it leaves plenty of territory for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo design made for an airline in Los Angeles, the logo has two letter A's with the bars modified to indicate they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines arrive and depart yet it seems that in many occurrences one of the things folks tend to recall the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a modest new venture commuter/shuttle air service situated in LA and while I’m not certain it really “took off” their organization logo didn’t slow them. The bookend A’s in their brand lent itself well to affording a good sense of flight and it was definitely a success.

Rancho Cordova logo layout utilized for marketing and also a label layout for Vintage Situation includes an archaic font style layout.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case focused in new cases for musical instruments, that looked to be antique cases. For this business logo concept I strove to come up with a logo that offered a fluid old-fashioned feel to it and could easily be utilized for anything from a web page to a label on brand new cases that appeared like they were from another era.

Logo design produced for an orthodontist in Rancho Cordova, California, design consist of an arc with lines intersecting through it to indicate metal braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dentistry business logos can easily be one of the most challenging and difficult logo design projects due to the fact that it seems that every dentist includes a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dentistry logo designs are one of the very most cliche ridden fields when it comes to company advertising, if dining establishments approached their branding in the very same way dental practitioners do every one of their logo designs would definitely be a picture explaining anything they served, McDonalds would likely have an image of a potato and a cow.

I recognize the thinking behind adding an image of something mouth associated to a dentist’s company logo nevertheless it has to be performed subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dentists logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental profession.

I really love doing dentist logo designs because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies dentistry or a specific field of the field of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the stereotypical course of action that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics offered such an opportunity and subsequently I created a design that does not have a solitary smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t obvious, they are still implied in the concept. When I turned this particular concept over to the client the only smile that was apparent was really the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo designed for a family nonprofit, the logo includes 4 personalities staggered in elevation to stand for a family unit with in the layout.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation asked ImageCo to help them come up with a logo that would be illustrative of the devotion that William McNally had for the residents in his community. The majority of logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain portrayals of a happy family, a cliche heavy strategy to any logo design is to be overly literal pertaining to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve discovered that the best concepts are the ones that are downplayed and don’t hit the viewer on the head with what the company or institution wishes to communicate.

The McNally Foundation’s name presented a distinct opportunity to do a custom logo design which communicated that they were about families without being openly tacky about it. The goal of a logo is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer attempts to use the logo design to describe how people ought to think or feel they don’t understand the purpose of a logo. If you have to ponder a logo to understand what it means, it has been in vain, a logo needs to be immediately understood and a logo design that explains itself won’t have the opportunity to be comprehended.

Logo design developed for a hair style studio including a script font a hummingbird as well as a suggested orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios wanted a logo which conveyed a sense of relaxation and connection for their new hair salon. I came up with a concept that didn’t go the obvious course of making just a stylized orchid but alternatively crafted a company logo that suggested a flower in the formation of a swirl featured in to the letter O in the title and by placing attention on the concept using the figure of a hummingbird floating over the image itself. The obvious path in creating a logo is oftentimes the incorrect path and in this case, the design ended up not being about the orchid but alternately put the focus on the feeling that they wanted to transmit to their clients.

Logo design for a software program developer the layout features and legendary aspect of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the central part of an operating system (OS). Traditionally, the kernel is responsible for memory administration, process and task management, and hard drive management. The kernel links the system hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that serves as a connection between the software and computer hardware.

The logo design I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is located a number of miles from the business offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to describe anything to anyone about what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. However, it symbolized something to the business owner of the company and in quite a few cases the substance supporting a business logo is just as important as how it brands the company it stands for.

A logo style featuring an angler in the center of the name casting a fly in the direction of the visitor.

Whether you are into boating, sportfishing or mountain climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly presents a place for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all types of interests, a spot to sell their previously owned items to other sports enthusiasts. I tailored their Rancho Cordova logo dsign using a graphic which grabs the interest of vehicles and projects an image that calls to mind the passion of the outdoors. With visitor traffic that averages 45 mph I knew it would take more than the typical logo/sign to get travelers to take notice, hence the graphic of a fly fisherman in his natural and peaceful habitat.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms logo design wasn’t really developed for an Rancho Cordova, California regional farm it was actually developed for an investments broker, and this particular logo was one of several which fell under the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. Rancho Cordova Logo design for a nonprofit, Turning Point Solutions - the logo style feature for outwardly dealing with arrowhead and the arrowheads indicate that it is a ruby form.

Turning Point Foundation | Logo Design

The Turning Point Foundation was completely open to what kind of logo design that they preferred, that can be a good thing or a bad thing. Good in that it offers a designer the freedom to delve into any idea that comes to mind, bad in that it’s challenging to hit a bullseye in the absence of understanding where exactly the target is. Thankfully, in this particular instance, I nailed a bullseye with the 1st try.

Logo design made for the use of an indication for the restaurant (Brewgrrs), it is a luxuriant manuscript typeface that is reminiscent of a well-known sporting activities group logo design.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I’ve crafted dozens of restaurant custom logo designs and establishment signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments, and eateries all over the US, from cupcake bakeries to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I think Brewgrrs was my absolute favorite. Brewgrrs was a neat undertaking in which I worked closely with the proprietor to design a logo design which worked very well and did a fantastic job to brand them, it worked on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the lighted signage which hung over their doors, and was highly visible and very easy to read from over a block away.
