Rancho San Diego Logo Design

Virtually every new Rancho San Diego organization understands that they are in need of a logo, yet few new business owners entirely are aware of the essential role their logo will perform in their becoming successful, or precisely why one logo works better than another. A business logo has a critical and lasting influence on the prosperity of a business, choose the correct one and it will make the door swing and phone ring, select the incorrect one and it will be an obstacle and a hindrance for the life of a company. The logos presented in the ImageCo portfolio help Rancho San Diego businesses succeed, they are effective in any given scenario and the reason why they are so effective is because they all have these 5 features in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logo designs do not require contemplation, they can be comprehended in just a look.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to posters a scalable business logo will be legible and just as emotive at any scale.
  3. Versatility: logos that operate on any type of device, in print, on product packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are unique, and they are suitable for the enterprise they represent.
  5. Relevance: a business logo should be lasting and should feel relevant today, tomorrow, and thirty years from today.

Retro logo design of a bike created for a Rancho San Diego coffee cafe and also a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This budding coffee roaster and cafe were opening up in an older part of the area and hoped to visualize a vintage atmosphere without appearing as boring or low energy. I fulfilled the two tasks by creating a logo design that contains a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is antiquated, higher energy, and is a enduring business image.

clinical logo style with a microscopic lense slide as well as germs made for Rancho San Diego clinical center.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the science which examines the root causes and outcomes of diseases, especially the field of healthcare which deals with the laboratory evaluation of samplings of body tissue for diagnostic or forensic reasons.

The Mid-Valley Pathology brand I came up with is the only instance I call to mind in which I was in a position to integrate a bacteria-laden microscope slide into a logo design.

Normally I attempt not to be overly literal with a design and to a point, this specific design approaches the company it represents fairly literally, but it does it in a way that incorporates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as a description of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancement to the brand that helps make it more interesting, more attention grabbing and even more meaningful.

logo design with a jumping green frog created for a family members enjoyable facility in Rancho San Diego.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a really fun project to work on, probably because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s additionally a project that is way out of the usual of the types of projects that come my way, I’ve done dozens of logo designs for physicians, dental offices, and lawyers but Cool Springz is without question the only trampoline park that I have actually ever gotten the privilege to work on.

Given that the title of the business features the word springz in its name the obvious choice would have been to include a few springs into the concept but Cool Springz is a fun place to go and spring does not actually reflect an environment of fun does it. My thought process on this logo design project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, in the end I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the name itself to give the logo a more lively high energy feeling.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my brainchild and named the frog Jax and integrated him in to everything they used for promotion and marketing. I also think this is the only time that a logo I created was transformed into a mascot when they had a staff member costume fashioned to look exactly like my frog design.

digital photography logo design including a flock of birds, a hill, a path, a stream, and a tree - made for Rancho San Diego traveling professional photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a custom logo design project I took on for a travel photographer, which is a rather specialized field of photography and I think it is a niche profession because travel photographers tend not to capture locations or things but rather communicate emotional journeys through the photos they record. The idea behind this logo concept was to make use of negative space to project more than what was visible upon first view, which I think is representative of the majority of professional photographers in that they oftentimes tell entire stories through their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a 1000 words but I think that some photographs convey considerably more than that because their photos often have an emotional resonance that can’t be revealed with mere words. I attempted to do something comparable to this logo by employing the positive space in the design to suggest one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was communicated through the first impression. I think, in hindsight, that my objective was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Rancho San Diego logo design but also to show the depth of her art and in the way that she views the world through the lens of her camera.

Rancho San Diego logo design with a seagull used for the letter A. Designed for a cordless retail service.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The lion’s share of custom logo design projects that I take on I honestly take pleasure in and the Coastal Wireless design was one that I certainly felt good about, however the client didn’t quite share my enthusiasm for it. I felt really good about the concept of using the seagull silhouette as a stroke in the letter A however my customer, while he loved the concept, really did not care for my choice of birds. This man seriously loathed seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, thankfully the rest of his friends and family didn’t share his scorn for this particular kind of sea bird.

When I turn a concept over to a client I urge all of them to discuss it with friends and colleagues and family members as well as with folks that they don’t actually know so as to get unbiased judgements on the benefit of a concept. Fortunately, he talked about it with his family members and they loved the design and were able to persuade him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to include every other seabird he could think of … eventually I was able to talk him out of his choice of a pelican and he proceeded with the original design.

Business logos are a weird creature in the design world because the people that tend to hire a professional to design their logo design realize how essential a logo design is for their organization so they are way more vested in the outcome. Every logo design project has it’s share of difficulties, however the largest obstacle is finding that sweet spot in a design that operates really well at the job it’s needed to do in branding a business and also providing the customer the image they see for themselves.

a red panda logo design with bamboo in the background, style for Rancho San Diego book author

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a cramped parcel of real estate to work with, yet it really is the most important part of a printed book since it is often the first thing a person views in the bookstore. Concerning a publisher, it’s the most ideal opportunity they will ever have to advertise their label and get their logo design in front of the men and women that purchase actual books.

This 3 color design is vibrant, colorful and eye-catching and it leaves plenty of room for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo developed for an airline in Los Angeles, the logo design has two letter A's with benches changed to indicate they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines come and go yet it seems like that in many cases 1 of the items folks usually tend to recall the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a modest fledgling commuter/shuttle air service based in LA and although I’m not certain it really “took off” their logo design didn’t ground them. The bookend A’s in their brand lent itself well to affording a feeling of flight and it was surely a winner.

Rancho San Diego logo layout utilized for marketing and a tag layout for Vintage Case includes an archaic font style style.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case focused in brand new cases for music instruments, that looked to be vintage cases. For this brand concept I strove to come up with a logo that offered a fluid vintage feel to it and could be used for anything from a website to an insignia on brand new cases that appeared like they were from a different generation.

Logo produced for an orthodontist in Rancho San Diego, style consist of an arc with lines intersecting through it to imply steel dental braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental care business logos can be one of the most difficult logo jobs due to the fact that it appears that almost every dentist involves a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dental logo designs are one of the most cliche ridden fields when it comes to business marketing, if restaurants approached their branding in the very same way dental offices do every one of their logo designs would definitely be a picture explaining anything they served, McDonalds would likely have a picture of a potato and a cow.

I understand the thinking behind adding an illustration of something mouth associated to a dentist’s logo but it has to be done subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dental professionals logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental care industry.

I really enjoy doing dental care logo designs simply because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies the field of dentistry or a specific area of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the stereotypical approach that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics offered such an opportunity and inevitably I created a concept that doesn’t have a single smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t obvious, they are still implied in the design. When I turned this design over to the customer the only smile that was apparent was actually the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo design made for a family members nonprofit, the logo includes 4 personalities staggered in height to stand for a family with in the layout.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation reached out to ImageCo to help them come up with a logo that would be representative of the love that William McNally had for the families in his community. The majority of logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain portrayals of a happy family, a cliche heavy strategy to any logo design is to be very literal with regards to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve found that the best designs are the ones that are downplayed and don’t hit the viewer on the head with what the business or organization wants to relate.

The McNally Foundation’s name provided a unique opportunity to do a custom logo design that communicated that they were about families without being openly tacky about it. The objective of a logo design is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer attempts to use the logo design to describe specifically how people should think or feel they don’t understand the mission of a logo. If you have to think about a logo design to understand what it means, it has fallen short, a logo needs to be instantly understood and a logo design that illustrates itself won’t have the likelihood to be understood.

Logo layout developed for a hair layout workshop featuring a script font a hummingbird and also a suggested orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios needed a business logo that carried a spirit of contentment and class for their new hair salon. I created a design that didn’t go the obvious course of crafting simply a stylized orchid but instead designed a logo design that suggested an orchid in the pattern of a swirl featured in to the letter O in the name and by putting attention on the concept along with the silhouette of a hummingbird hovering over the image itself. The obvious path in creating a company logo is frequently the wrong route and in this case, the design ended up not being about the orchid but alternately laid the emphasis on the perception that they wanted to project to their customers.

Logo design for a software program developer the layout features and also iconic component of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the key part of an operating system (OS). Generally, the kernel is responsible for memory administration, process and task management, and hard drive operations. The kernel links the system hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that behaves as a connection in between the software and hardware.

The business logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is located a couple of miles from the offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to explain anything to anyone regarding to what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. However, it intimated something to the business owner of the business and in quite a few cases the substance supporting a company logo is equally as important as how it brands the enterprise it represents.

Advance logo layout developed for a Rancho San Diego indoor developer, layout function a collection of red circles that converge and also change the letter O in the center of the logo design.

A logo style including a fisherman in the middle of the name casting a fly in the direction of the viewer.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brand names like Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in more than 7 billion a year retailing supplies and equipment to outdoor sporting fans the founders of On the Fly knew the market place was primed for an outdoor sporting store that functions as a consignment firm. Whether or not you are into boating, sportfishing or mountain climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly provides a place for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all kinds of passions, a place to sell their secondhand equipment to other sports enthusiasts. I tailored their Rancho San Diego business logo dsign using an image that garners the interest of vehicles and projects an image that calls to mind the passion of the outdoors. With visitor traffic that averages 45 miles per hour I knew it would take more than the average logo/sign to get commuters to take notice, hence the image of a fly fisherman in his natural and tranquil habitat.
Logo design MQ ranches, this logo design has a field incorporated right into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms logo design wasn’t actually produced for an Rancho San Diego area farm it was really devised for a products broker, and this trademark was one of many that fell underneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The aim was really to produce a graphic that projects assurance, success, and luxury.
Logo design created for making use of a sign for the restaurant (Brewgrrs), it is a luxuriant manuscript font style that is evocative a renowned sporting activities team logo design.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I have designed dozens of restaurant business logos and business signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the USA, from cupcake bake shops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I think Brewgrrs was my favorite. Brewgrrs was a great undertaking in which I worked closely with the proprietor to produce a business logo that worked extremely well and did a great job to brand them, it worked on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the illuminated signage that hung over their doors, and was highly visible and very easy to read from over a block away.
