Redlands Logo Design

Virtually every new Redlands business knows they require a logo, however few new business owners fully realize the key role their organization logo will play in their becoming successful, or precisely why one business logo performs more effectively than another. A company logo has a critical and sustaining effect on the financial success of a company, go with the right one and it will make the door swing and phone ring, go with the wrong one and it will be a barrier and an impediment for the life span of a business. The logos featured in the ImageCo portfolio help Redlands businesses succeed, they are effective in any given scenario and the reason why they are so effective is because they all have these 5 features in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logos don’t demand scrutiny, they can be grasped in just a look.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to signboards a scalable logo design will remain legible and just as emotive at every size.
  3. Versatility: logos that work on any device, in print, on packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball-cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are unique, and they are suitable for the organization they represent.
  5. Relevance: a company logo must be lasting and will feel relevant today, tomorrow, and forty years from today.

Retro logo design of a bicycle created for a Redlands coffee cafe as well as a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This budding coffee roaster and coffee bar were opening in an old part of the area and wanted to cast a retro tone without appearing as uninteresting or low energy. I fulfilled both of these tasks by creating a company logo design that features a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is old-fashioned, high energy, and is a enduring business image.

medical logo layout with a microscopic lense slide and also bacteria designed for Redlands clinical clinic.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the scientific discipline that studies the triggers and effects of diseases, especially the field of healthcare which works with the clinical examination of samplings of human body tissue for diagnostic or forensic objectives.

The Mid-Valley Pathology custom logo design I came up with is really the only instance I recall in which I was in a position to integrate a bacteria-laden microscope slide into a business logo design.

Typically I attempt not to be extremely literal with a concept and to a degree, this specific design approaches the company it represents very literally, yet it does it in a way that integrates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an illustration of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancement to the brand that helps make it more captivating, more attention grabbing and even more memorable.

logo style with a leaping eco-friendly frog designed for a family enjoyable facility in Redlands.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a very fun project to work on, most likely because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s additionally a project that is way out of the norm of the sorts of jobs that come my way, I’ve produced dozens of logo designs for physicians, dental offices, and attorneys but Cool Springz is without question the one and only trampoline park which I have actually ever gotten the opportunity to work on.

Given that the title of the business has the word springz in its name the clear choice would have been to incorporate a handful of springs into the concept but Cool Springz is a fun destination to go and spring doesn’t actually resonate an environment of fun does it. My thought process on this logo project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, ultimately I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the title itself to provide the logo a more enthusiastic high energy impression.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my brainchild and named the frog Jax and incorporated him in to everything they used for advertising and marketing. I also believe this is the only time that a logo I did was turned into a mascot when they had a staff member costume fashioned to look exactly like my frog design.

digital photography logo design featuring a group of birds, a hill, a path, a stream, and also a tree - made for Redlands travel photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo job I took on for a travel photographer, which is a pretty niche field of photography and I think it is a niche field because travel photographers don’t shoot places or things but instead project emotional experiences through the pictures they capture. The idea behind this logo design was to utilize negative space to project more than what was visible upon initial glance, which I think is quintessential of almost all professional photographers in that they oftentimes convey whole stories using their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a thousand words but I think that some photographs convey much more than that because their photos often have an emotional resonance that can’t be communicated with mere words. I attempted to do something the same to this logo by utilizing the positive space in the design to suggest one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was communicated through the first impression. I think, in looking back, that my goal was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Redlands logo but also to show the depth in her art and in the way that she sees the world through the lens of her camera.

Redlands logo design with a seagull made use of for the letter A. Designed for a wireless retail company.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The lion’s share of logo design projects that I take on I really relish and the Coastal Wireless project was one that I certainly felt good about, however the customer didn’t quite share my enthusiasm for it. I felt really good about the concept of using the seagull shape as a stroke in the letter A but my client, even though he liked the concept, didn’t care for my choice of birds. This man genuinely despised seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, fortunately the rest of his friends and family didn’t share his scorn for this particular breed of sea bird.

When I turn a concept over to a customer I urge all of them to discuss it with friends and colleagues and family members as well as with individuals that they don’t even know so as to get impartial point of views on the value of a design concept. Fortunately, he shared it with his family members and they adored the design and were able to reason with him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to insert every other seabird he could think of … eventually I was able to talk him out of his choice of a pelican and he proceeded with the original concept.

Logos are a weird animal in the design world given that the people that tend to hire a professional to design their logo design understand how important a logo design is for their business so they are way more vested in the end result. Every logo design project possesses it’s share of obstacles, but the most significant challenge is identifying that sweet spot in a design that works really well at the job it’s required to do in branding a business and also providing the client the identity they see for themselves.

a red panda logo style with bamboo behind-the-scenes, design for Redlands book publisher

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a slender parcel of real estate to work with, however it really is the most necessary part of a printed book given that it is ordinarily the primary thing a person views in the book shop. With respect to a publisher, it’s the absolute best opportunity they will ever get to advertise their label and get their logo design in front of the men and women that buy actual books.

This 3 color design is vibrant, colorful and eye-catching and it leaves plenty of area for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo design designed for an airline company in Los Angeles, the logo design has 2 letter A's with the bars customized to imply they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines arrive and depart but it looks like that in many instances one of the items people often tend to remember the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a smaller new venture commuter/shuttle air service located in LA and while I’m not certain it really “took off” their logo design didn’t ground them. The bookend A’s in their title lent itself well to conferring a good sense of air travel and it was undoubtedly a winner.

Redlands logo design made use of for advertising and a label style for Vintage Instance features an antiquated font style.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in brand new cases for musical instruments, that looked to be vintage cases. For this business logo design I tried to come up with a logo that had a fluid retro feel to it and could be utilized for everything from a website to a label on brand new cases that looked like they were from another era.

Logo design created for an orthodontist in Redlands, style include an arc with lines converging via it to imply metal dental braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental care business logos can easily be one of the most difficult logo design projects because it appears that virtually every dental professional features a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dentistry logo designs are one of the most cliche ridden careers when it comes to small business advertising, if dining establishments approached their branding in the same way dental professionals do every one of their logos would be a picture explaining anything they served, McDonalds would most likely contain an image of a potato and a cow.

I understand the thinking behind including a likeness of something mouth associated to a dentist’s logo design but it has to be done subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dental professionals logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental profession.

I actually love doing dental care logo designs simply because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies the field of dentistry or a particular area of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the clichéd approach that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics provided such an opportunity and ultimately I created a design that does not have a single smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t overt, they are still suggested in the concept. When I turned this design over to the client the only smile that was obvious was really the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo design made for a family members not-for-profit, the logo design features 4 personalities surprised in elevation to represent a family unit with in the design.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation asked ImageCo to help them come up with a logo design that would be representative of the devotion that William McNally had for the families in his community. The majority of logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain images of a happy family, a cliche heavy strategy to any logo design is to be overly literal pertaining to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve found that the best designs are the ones that are understated and never hit the viewer on the head with what the business or organization hopes to project.

The McNally Foundation’s name presented a unique opportunity to do a custom logo design that conveyed that they were about families without being openly tacky about it. The objective of a logo design is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer attempts to use the logo to illustrate specifically how individuals should think or feel they don’t understand the goal of a logo. If people have to consider a logo design to understand what it means, it has failed, a logo needs to be immediately understood and a logo that illustrates itself will never have the opportunity to be comprehended.

Logo style created for a hair style studio featuring a script font a hummingbird as well as an implied orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios desired a company logo that related a sense of relaxation and connection for their new hair salon. I created a design that did not go the obvious route of designing just a stylized orchid but alternatively designed a logo that suggested a flower in the pattern of a swirl integrated into the letter O in the name and by placing emphasis on the logo design along with the silhouette of a hummingbird hovering over the logo design itself. The obvious path in creating a business logo is oftentimes the incorrect route and in this case, the design ended up not being about the orchid but instead put the attention on the emotion that they really wanted to transmit to their clients.

Arabian steed logo design developed for a horse ranch that focuses on reproducing Arabian show steeds.

Dazzo Arabians | Logo Design

Logo style for a software application programmer the design features and renowned aspect of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the key part of an operating system (OS). Generally, the kernel is responsible for memory management, process and task management, and disk managing. The kernel connects the computer hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that behaves as a connection in between the software and hardware.

The logo design I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is located a couple of miles from the offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to spell out anything to anyone with regards to what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. But it represented something to the owner of the company and in quite a few cases the substance supporting a company logo is just as important as how it brands the enterprise it stands for.

Progress logo design created for a Redlands interior designer, design attribute a series of red circles that intersect as well as replace the letter O in the center of the logo design.

Evolv Interior Design | Logo Design | Branding

A logo design including a fisherman in the center of the name casting a fly in the direction of the audience.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brand names like Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in over 7 billion a year retailing supplies and equipment to outdoor sporting enthusiasts the founders of On the Fly understood the market was ready for an outdoor sporting store that operates as a consignment firm. Whether you are into boating, sportfishing or rock climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly provides a place for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all types of interests, a location to market their pre-owned goods to other sports enthusiasts. I created their Redlands logo dsign utilizing an image which garners the interest of traffic and projects an image that evokes the passion of the outdoors. With traffic that averages 45 mph I realized it would take more than the average logo/sign to get travelers to take notice, hence the picture of a fly fisherman in his natural and serene habitat.
Logo design MQ farms, this logo design has a field incorporated into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms emblem design wasn’t really designed for an Redlands regional farm it was really devised for an investments broker, and this particular brand was one of several that fell underneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The end goal was really to develop a brand mark that projects self-assurance, financial success, and luxury.
Logo design designed for making use of an indicator for the dining establishment (Brewgrrs), it is a luxuriant manuscript font style that is reminiscent of a well-known sports group logo.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I have created quite a lot of restaurant logos and establishment signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the United States, from cupcake bake shops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I believe Brewgrrs was my favorite. Brewgrrs was a neat project in which I worked directly with the business owner to produce a logo design which worked really well and did a great job to brand them, it worked on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the illuminated sign which hung above their doors, and was highly visible and very easy to read from over a block away.
